I had a great experience ordering from Cactus Chuck! I live 8 hours from him so there would have been no way to see his cacti before ordering. He helped me out a lot by explaining the different ones he had, and photos of the mother cacti that I was interested in getting a cutting from. The entire ordering process went smoothly. After I picked which ones I wanted, he cut them from the mother that very night and sent me photos of the cuttings I purchased. The Juul’s Giant was super thick so we waited 3 weeks before shipping it. Every week he sent me a little update so I didn’t feel like I purchased something and received nothing. Once they arrived, after 2 day shipping, they were all packaged amazingly! He definitely took the extra time and effort to ensure they arrived undamaged. The cuttings also were amazing and a lot thicker/bigger in person, I was very impressed. I can’t wait to order more from him, and you shouldn’t either! Going forward, he will be the only person I buy future ...

Cactus Chuck is pretty impressive with his trade...I appreciate dealing with folks like this..I can tell he works hard at what he’s doing, it shows So, my Juuls Giant Mid cut was so plump and beautiful with great color...real nice color.. Bridgesii tips were damn beautiful as well. I sell only Trichocereus bridgesii (Bolivian Torch), Trichocereus peruvianus and macrogonus (Peruvian Torch), Trichocereus pachanoi (San Pedro), and crosses of the above. I have approximately 50 named cultivars and 20 cacti that I only know the species of.

I have four unnamed T. macrogonus cacti, and seven T. peruvianus (Peruvian Torches) including "Matucana" (KK242), "Matucana Sausage," and others.

A partial list of the T. pachanoi (San Pedro) cultivars I have include; "Juul's Giant," "Soozy," "Nuestra Bonita," "Kathleen," Los Osos," Ventucky Blue Sausage," TPMC (T. pachanoi monstrose cristata), variegated pachanoi grafted to PC rootstock, and 16 unknown cultivars.

Due to growing business I am tripling the amount of cacti I have in the ground to keep up with demand and not stress out the plants so much. I amend my soil organically with all kinds of microbes and nutrients, mist them at night when it is hot, show them lots of love, communicate with them, and offer tobacco as I have been taught in the Native American Church.

I sometimes have some ready to ship immediately, but for a fresh cutting it will usually take about a week for the cutting to develop a proper skin where it was cut (kind of like how a scab forms over a cut on an animal), which will assure the specimen is healthy and not infected by the time you get it. I can place rooting hormones (which I found to be unnecessary as they root pretty easily) if requested, and usually apply sulfur antibacterial powder or a 10% bleach solution to fresh cuttings. I will normally cut off all the spines to allow for better shipping, but this will not harm the cacti. I can leave spines on or off as requested, though I may trim a few long ones if necessary to fit in the box.

If I'm not informed otherwise I will cut off the spines and apply Sulfur powder or 10% bleach to prevent bacterial contamination.
