The brewery was established in 1997 among the majestic redwoods in West Sonoma County. After 6 years, the original owners decided to get out of the beer business and transferred the brand and all recipes to their head brewer, who then opened the first brewpub in Santa Rosa in 2004.
The brewery is celebrating 20 years at the Santa Rosa brewery and 30 years in craft beer! They are also releasing special beers, including Pliny The Younger and Pliny For President, and participating in charity events.
The brewery hosts a variety of events, including car gatherings, meet-and-greets with famous race car drivers, and charity events like Ales for ALS and Wags, Whiskers and Wine. They also have a annual family picnic for their employees.
The brewery offers a range of beers, including lagers, pale ales, and IPAs. They currently have 4 tasty lagers on tap, including R&D #8 Dark Lager, R&D #7 Pale Lager, Velvet Glow Helles, and STS Pils. Some of their beers are also available in 6-pack cans.
The brewery has a lively and homey atmosphere, serving pizza and bar fare. It's a popular spot for people to gather and enjoy good food and beer.
