Oscar Cortez: Are only San Jose winery with excellent wines and customer service I will recommend it any day
Pam Sulak: We were there on March 12, 2024. Reservations were made to have a seated tasting. Vicki was our hostess. She was very knowledgeable about theJ. Lohr family and wines. Since my niece and nephew-in-law live a few blocks away they decided to purchase a membership. With the membership our tastings were free and there was a discount on the wine we purchased. Our small plates were also discounted. My niece and hubby will definitely get use out of their membership. If you are in the area, give J. Lohr a try.
Milad Asgari: Experienced an exceptional wine tasting here. As a prominent wine producer and distributor, they offer an exclusive glimpse into their retail, members-only, and limited production wines. Each tasting, typically an hour-long affair, treats you to five exquisite wines accompanied by insightful discussions on their extensive portfolio and grape varieties. Engaging with the knowledgeable staff enriches the tasting experience, making it truly memorable.
Tiffany Ellison: Me and my roomie went to wine taste talk about good great excellent wine good talk
Benjamin Hsu: Great local winery!
Manabu Kato: A winery that is a short walk from downtown San Jose. Good for relaxing with friends on the terrace.
Kelly Song: great chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon! staff was friendly and talked about wine in an easy and fun way.
Masa Kmt: We tasted 5 different wines. Everything was delicious, but the prices seemed a little high due to the weak yen.
Marian Laroche: Great tasting experience, went during the week so it wasn't crowded. Very nice atmosphere. Way walking distance to multiple restaurants, we took the time to let our blood alcohol level normalize!
Cynthia P: July 2023 Update:Blake, the tasting room manager, has done a great job in creating fun and lively events. Wine and Cheese Fridays, food trucks, and music. As always the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Richard, Dana, Shelly, and Annette are all wonderful.Previous: Friendly, knowledgeable staff, excellent, reasonable priced wines. Tastings are still free-you can choose up to 6. On weekends, you can select the Cuvee's as part of your tasting choices. They also have events on many Wednesday's and Fridays.
Carlos Cruz: are encouraged to make reservations. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the wines.Visited on Public holiday Wait time No wait …
ณัฏฐนารา สัมภาวะผล: I'm very satisfied
Peter Frank: Great tasting room experience, fabulous wines and tasty treats.
Richard Lee: A marvelous wine tasting opportunity. While they are one of the largest producers and distributors of wine, the tasting gives you access to their retail wines as well as their members-only and limited production wines. They have large vineyards between Monterey Bay and Paso Robles and source several varieties from others in the Central Coast. Tastings are generally an hour with servings of five wines and great discussions of their many wines and grapes. Interactions with staff makes tastings a very worthwhile experience.

Maria Moldovan: Great wine, perfect service.
Xiaojun Ma: Went there on their wine release day, it's a relatively small scale operation but it has lovely environment and lovely people. The wine fits my taste, opens with vibrant fruitiness and then delivers well balanced intense acidity and aroma. I love the Merlot especially.
Usha Patel: Alec was absolutely wonderful from the time I inquired about a visit all the way through explaining tasting notes on all the lovingly crafted wines. They were delicious. He shared his family's winemaking history and walked us through the vineyards. I will definitely be going back to this gem in Los Gatos.I enjoyed every minute with this amazing winemaker, and bought a couple bottles.Thank you Alec

Michael F: Big Dog Winery, Nestled in the scenic North San Jose East Foothills. What sets Big Dog Winery is its dog-friendly atmosphere, making it a haven for those who love to enjoy a glass of wine in the company of their furry companions. Pretty good wines from grapes sourced from regions such as Sonoma, Paso Robles, and Napa County. They have a very friendly staff and everyone is very nice. The best part of this place is the view and how close it is to South Bay.
Thomas Copeland: Love their estate wines.

bfrymire: The view is nice. For a small winery the grounds are good with tasting area and event area. Staff was polite and attentive. There was a live band and we had fun dancing to it. Wines are good. About a mid level experience but a lovely way to spend an afternoon without driving too far. Would probably be an awesome space to see a concert or have an event.

Sverre Strandenes: Our visit to Mount Eden Vineyards was excellent. The location is spectacular, the wines are extraordinary and the host was very friendly and knowledgeable. This was a highlight of our wine tour.
Paige Mann: It is something else to get there but it is soooo worth it. Go!!!
Mike Lukins: 🐕🍷Great place to cool down on a hot day.. Nicely, shaded terrace, with a cool breeze, valley view.. Dogs run the joint
Isabel Hernández: It is a beautiful place with an incredible view. I recommend it.
Matt Olson: best wine in the state...sorry Napa but you know it's true. Great history and an amazing view. Well worth the crazy drive up the single lane dirt road. Super entertaining and cute dogs on the property too, for you dog lovers.
Kevin Kao: . The ambiance and view up by their tasting area was amazing, definitely in one of our top favorites. You get a view of their vineyards as well as the entire bay with the mountains by Fremont/Milpitas/San Jose on the other side. The wine itself was very high quality and tasty. We had a chardonnay, a rose, and two other reds. Personal favorite was the chardonnay, and it's one of the ones they're most known for. Tom, the person who introduced us to the wines, was very knowledgeable and friendly. They also have two friendly dogs roaming around that like to say hello to guests.Note that the drive up is windy, narrow, and fairly sloped uphill, with some parts that are dirt
Carol Keeling: Wonderful experience! Amazing views and great wines. Tom was fantastic in sharing the history of Mount Eden and explaining the different grapes and wines. Will go back next time in CA. Already ordered more wine to be shipped to me in VA.
Alexandre Nguyen: Sophie was a fantastic host. I told her my plan to propose to my girlfriend and she really went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. The view is the most breathtaking view out of any vineyard I’ve been to. It sits right at the top of the mountain so it does take some time to drive up. The wine was also amazing, the Chardonnay and Rosé were our favorites.
Gabriel Doliner: A well established winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains, overlooking Silicon Valley. Sweeping views from San Jose to Redwood City, one of the most beautiful vineyards I've ever seen, and outstanding wines - Pinot, Chardonnay, and Cabernet, all in a nuanced and refined style. Sophie was a lovely host, we got to see the cellar, and taste all the current releases. Thanks so much, Sophie!
John headman: Beautiful place and nice people
Elizabeth Yoshikawa: have been together at the vineyard since 1981. Jeffrey became the Winemaker in 1983 and has been doing it ever since. They are both beautiful, kind hearted & gracious. Thank you so much for your hospitality!Call them to schedule appointments so that you may see their breathtaking vineyard from the tippy-top of the mountain. If you are driving, it is aaaaaaaaaaalllll the way at the top. If you ever think you went too far, keep going. You aren’t there yet. Drive up, up, up! Until you reach the absolute top of the mountain. Then you will see a cute little house with Boston Ivy growing on it. You will also most likely see two

Californian 1990: This is a very atmospheric place on the whole Santana row. Highly recommend to visit. I visited more than ten thousands of restaurants and bars in my life and definitely can tell, this is one of my favorite places. Very polite staff members, beautiful and relaxing music and a good choice of wines 🍷. I tried almost everything in there. European union, Pink, Red set etc. Pick Caprese salad as the appetizer.
Hannah Gwon: Enjoyed their wine flights; Rose & Red. They carry California wines and major European countries wine. Not a huge menu tho. They also have a store if you wanna buy bottles - just around the corner. We sat outside patio and their standing heaters kept us warm throughout. Atmosphere wise, it was so pretty with the Christmas lights and decorations. This place is good for hanging out and small gathering, recommend!

Natasha Lozanoff: I absolutely love photographing weddings at Byington Vineyard & Winery. This location is such an amazing gem of the central California coast and Santa Cruz Mountains. This vineyard and winery goes to great lengths to create an amazing and high quality wine. The estate is so serene and scenic and provides countless gorgeous backdrops for weddings. There is a perfect spot to get married called Wedding Hill and the staff is so great and helpful. I highly suggest getting married here.
Ildar Khafizov: A good place. This is not the first time here. Drinking a glass of wine at sunset in the mountains is very good
jihad fakhreddine: A great winery in Los Gatos hills. Top tasting wine , specially the Red
Anurag Gupta: If your event is on the weekend, HWY 17 is almost always super crowded with an accident somewhere that creates a 30-45 additional delay over what Google Maps shows that day. Despite warning our guests about it, half arrive late, leading to significant additional charges per hour for event extension. We had been on top of our caterers about this, so they were on time.b

Nick: Hidden gem winery. Wonderful tasting experience and the ONLY winery tasting room in town
K A: Nice little tasting room in Campbell. Travieso makes a handful of different wines, all of which are good. They use grapes from various areas of Northern California wine country, like Dry Creek and Russian River, among others. You can get a tasting of six wines for $20, which can be applied to your wine purchase should you decide to buy a bottle or three.
Edward Rapier: Great time tasting some fun wines with Ray the owner! We tasted at three wineries today, and Travieso was by far the best.
Jim Solenberg: I love this place! It's not your typical setting for a winery; however, the wines are outstanding. Ray has the skills to bring out the unique qualities of each variety. I highly recommend coming here. You won't be disappointed.
Crystal Cornine: Wonderful service and such a hidden gem! Tasting waved with bottle purchase!
Diane Tan: Amazing quality and is definitely worth the price.
Leslie Gibbons: I love big red wines, and for my money, Ray makes the best! He also makes an amazing white blend. And, what's more, he and all of the various wine club members and guests are a warm, friendly bunch. Looking forward to the return of wine tasting! But, go ahead and buy a bottle or two now. Ray can make a good recommendation you're sure to love!
A S: Truly a hidden gem here. Tried the zinfandel and syrah and they are simply fantastic. Would definitely recommend anyone to come and try this place. The host is a great guy and simply fun to talk to.
Adam Karbaf: Best Kept Secret Winery
arkktoo: Comfortable setting. Good music. Excellent wine
Matt Holsinger: Tannic big wines. GSM, Syrah, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon. Decent white blend. Ray was very personable. Love the art theme. Great place to wine taste for those that like big reds. Nice alternative to other local wineries like Testarossa that are ultra expensive.

Sarah Minette: I’ve been here twice and the second time was amazing! Michelle was fantastic and so much fun to talk to! I was sitting by myself at the counter and we engaged in great conversation. She didn’t pressure to buy additional drinks or take more home. She also let me take my time there. Thanks for a great experience, Michelle!!Service: 5/5 …
w s: Top shelf wine! Love this lil spot
Harry Cerezo: We became members in 2015 for the awesome wines and relaxing atmosphere. Their Mercury Rising is a go-to approachable red blend that we stocked at every table during our wedding. Chill events sprinkled throughout the year give us reasons to visit often as well. From the complex smoothness of their GSM's to the buttery popcorn notes of their chardonnay's, this is definitely worth the stop. The quaint Saratoga scene has equally amazing food options just steps away as well.
Jimmy Shoven: Service: 5/5
Laura Tompkins: A very cute winery tasting room! Came here with a large group while waiting for our dinner reservation, and Cliff went above and beyond to take good care of us! Some in our party did the tasting menu, and some just did by the glass. Cliff took the time to talk to all of us and make us feel welcome. It was so worth it to interact with Cliff! Can't wait to come back.
Miriam Diaz: Enjoyed a carafe of Rose on this hot 90 degree day on the patio. Rose carafe was on special for $22. Service was excellent.
Marvin Calara: Great Ambiance. Good tasting wine. Nice place to hangout with family and friends to pass time. Not hard to find since this place is along the road.
Dan Mehler: Wine was good, tasting room leaves something to be desired. Indoor seating is small and all the outside seating is right off the main strip through Historic Downtown Saratoga.
