Amit Kulkarni: Coming to Hyper Strength is one of the best decisions I've made in my fitness journey so far. I started training with Coach Simon for my rehab post ACL surgery. Working with him established an incredible baseline for my strength and conditioning. Coach Simon helped me re-learn some techniques and helped me perfect my form.Since the last month, my wife and I have been training with Coach Shane and Coach Anthony along with an amazing cohort of folks. The atmosphere is incredible and everyone is extremely supportive of each other. The coaches not only help you succeed but also corrective feedback. Hyper strength gym is awesome!

Kristi Alexander: Before I started with HSC in 2022 I was trying to get use to my new normal. I was diagnosed with RRMS end of 2019 and I was on disability for 6 months. I had to make a lot of life changes. I knew I needed to start getting active because thatâs what my doctors wanted. I slowly started riding a stationary bike at home during the pandemic, started hiking with friends and then started working out one day a week at a friendâs house. It was my friend George that spoke so highly of his trainer Anthony at HSC. He had been working out with him for a while and convinced me to stop in for a workout to see if I would be interested.I have now been with HSC for a year & a half and itâs the best decision Iâve ever made. From day 1 everyone has been so welcoming & encouraging. My trainer Anthony has been amazing. He listens to me & will alter workouts due to some of my health challenges. When I first started with him, my back was always hurting & I had major balance issues. He has helped me work through it all. He is so big on correctives & mobility and I can say I no longer have that back pain. My balance is so much better and Iâm stronger than I have ever been. I never thought I would be squatting, deadlifting and bench pressing the weights that I do. Iâm definitely an over thinker and I doubt myself a lot. Anthony will always encourage & push me because he believes in me and knows I can do it. Iâm so much stronger & happier because of him. Thank you Anthony for all that you do. For always holding me accountable on my eating & workouts even when I want to fight you on it lol. If you want to be part of a great gym community, HSC is the way to go. Chase those 2024 goals.
Kristine Ocampo: After a few years of training with Anthony, my mental health has improved, my confidence grew, and I feel stronger. I live in Daly City and I commute all the way to San Jose just to see Anthony, but it's ALWAYS worth the drive! I also met a few people who commute 30+ minutes just to see him, too.In addition to 1 on 1 and private group sessions, Anthony hosts boot camps throughout the year and I look forward to those days because of the community at HSC. Jordy Pascual: Before coming to Hyper Strength and Conditioning, I really was not confident in weight lifting. It had been over 10 years since I had strength trained as a college athlete. Sadly my athletic career ended early because of a weight lifting accident. After slipping a disc in my back, I was told I would not be able to squat again, which made me afraid to try any type of strength training.Some of my friends shared their positive experience at HSC and encouraged me to give it a try. I have now been with the gym for over 6 months, and I truly feel that my fear of weight lifting has been healed. Anthony Perez has been an instrumental part of my growth. Whenever we train, he makes me feel safe in every exercise and always prioritizes how my body is feeling. He has empowered me to want more for myself and reach my fitness goals. lam doing exercises and seeing results that I didn't think were possible because of his coaching, expertise and support. If you are feeling nervous or hesitant to try strength and conditioning, I promise Anthony will take care of you.The last thing I'll say about HSC is that's a truly fun and inclusive environment. When you join the gym, it feels like you're joining a welcoming and authentic community. All of the trainers and staff take the time to get to know you, which is so rare when you join a commercial gym. I cannot recommend HSC and Anthony enough!
Mithila Guha: I train with Nicole, and she is a great mentor. She pushes me to progress gradually, making sure I am aiming for the right amount and degree of the training. Everyone in the gym is very friendly, which creates a comfortable, non-judgemental environment for others.

No egos, no judgement and everyone here just wants to genuinely support each otherâs fitness journey. I signed up for the small-group classes with Coach Shane and he is truly an amazing coach. Heâs very knowledgeable , encouraging and always makes sure youâre doing the proper form. He puts together a programming that challenges you and helps reach your goals. I highly recommend joining!
Jason P: Iâve been working with Shane for several months and what a difference itâs made to my health. When I was younger and had the time and focus, I used to work out regularly. Fast forward 20 years and my cardio was shot, strength was way down and overall I was feeling out of shape and unbalanced. I figured I needed to do something now because itâll only get harder. I looked around for a place that wouldnât be intimidating but was a serious gym. After meeting Shane we went over my goals and he designed a custom program to help me achieve them. 3 months later, 40lbs lighter, lean muscle mass has gone up significantly and my cardio is hugely improved. I feel stronger, look better, and am motivated to work out. Itâs been a game changer and maybe a literal life saver.
Elaine Nguyen: I entered a 6 month semi-private training with them and during the whole time there was absolutely wonderful! The coaches there are so energetic/optimistic/fun! Especially Nicole, she was my trainer. Iâve never worked out after high school so I never knew how to do certain exercises like deadlifts and so so much more. Nicole is always encouraging me to do more, she is so patient and understanding with me whenever I worked out. Sheâs also great at small talk so itâs never awkward. Shane also trained me for a week while Nicole was gone, he was also patient and a great guy to talk to. Although the prices are a bit steep, they have different options and multiple classes for you to choose/join. I love both the coaches and their gym there. Highly recommended.
Faye Garfinkle: Iâve been coming to HSC for a few months now and I work out in a semi private class with coach Shane and I love it so much! My fitness was pretty directionless for a few years and itâs so nice to have steady progress and great feedback to work with now. Shane has also been great at creatively working with an old shoulder injury of mine, and itâs so exciting to not be held back by it!

She always checks in to make sure the work feels ok in my body and that we are reaching the goal we set. Every session is fun, itâs like weâre hanging out and I donât even realize how many sets of exercises I finish.

J Sz: CrossFit Myo is amazing! The proof? Everyone in my family has been a member here because it's truly great.My daughter worked with Coach Taylor to improve her volleyball skills. Now she is a D1 college athlete.My son, who's in high school, took classes to improve at baseball and rugby and can't wait to return.My husband has been doing weightlifting here and became a National and Pan American champion in Olympic weightlifting in 2022.As for me, I've never done organized sports before, but Myo made me feel comfortable. I've been coming here for over two years, and I've never been in better shape.The three coaches, Blane, Eric, and Taylor, have different personalities, but they all genuinely love coaching and give individual attention.Myo offers two free classes, so try them out. I highly recommend this place, whether you're starting or have been working out for years.Also, for teens in sports who want to excel, take private lessons with one of the coaches.

The gym itself is always clean and well organized. The community is encouraging to all and will cheer you on regularly. They offer a lot of open gym hours for those that canât make the regular class times work. 10/10 recommend CrossFit MYO to people of all fitness levels!
Lysa Nguyen: The first thing I noticed when I joined Crossfit Myo was that they have a great student to teacher ratio. This means that the coaches actually have time to talk to every member and give them feedback and make sure everyone is moving safely. I didn't have much of a fitness background prior to joining Crossfit Myo so it was really important to me to get guidance and coaching to make sure I don't hurt myself.The membership price here is on the low end - every other Crossfit gym I searched in the Bay Area charges more. The quality of coaching here is on par with hiring a personal trainer so you're getting a really great value. The membership actually includes both Crossfit classes and olympic weightlifting classes - it's a really great deal. On top of all that, everyone gets their own rig with a taped off area that contains your very own personal equipment. You don't have to walk all around the gym looking for the plates you need. Everyone wipes down their equipment and the coaches mop in between every single class. This is by far the cleanest gym I've ever been to.The best thing about Crossfit Myo is the community. All the members were immediately friendly and welcoming. I've made a lot of friends here and we hang out both in and outside of the gym. It's a great motivator for me and this is the most consistent I've been at staying active, healthy, and strong.

Anthony To: Best CrossFit Gym in the Bay Area! Iâve been to a lot of boxes and CrossFit Myo is by far the best place to get great training, coaching, and meeting really supportive people. The group here is super friendly, supportive, and helpful not only in the gym but outside as well. We have three coaches at Myo and two teach each class. They all have different personalities and thatâs what makes things awesome. They all push you to be your best with positive energy. The people at Myo really make it awesome! One of a kind group that will drive you to success, if you want to or just friends to joke and goof around with in class. Myo has classes that fits most peopleâs schedules at least but they also have open gym, barbell club, and Olympic weightlifting class. The moment my wife and I stepped in to CrossFit Myo, we couldnât go anywhere else. Itâs a great place to feel good and have a great workout.

Rebecca Hansen: I didnât think Iâd be able to make so much progress so quickly, but itâs all thanks to Diego. His training plan is ambitious but doable. Itâs made me realize that I can push myself way more than I had been when working out on my own. Heâs also incredibly knowledgable. He strikes a good balance between working on technique and just letting you lift. I feel like my technique has improved, but Iâm not obsessing about every rep or focused on a million cues.Iâm also way more accountable. I work out with Diego twice a week and once on my own. Now that I have a set schedule, going to the gym has become second natureâI donât think about whether I want to go to the gym or whether I feel good, I just go and workout on the days Iâm supposed to. Itâs given more structure to my week, and itâs taken out the stress of deciding whether to work out on any given day
Ayman Kaheel: Backyard Barbell is the ultimate gym for powerlifters! It has everything youâd dream of; from torque tank to monolift. The gym owner and head coach is an encyclopedia on powerlifting and is an active competitor. He is generous with his knowledge and always willing to answer questions. The entire staff is incredible - Iâve interacted the most with Diego and Nicole. Everyone there seems genuine and humble.

He frequently stayed over-time after the session is over with me just to answer any questions, show me a new exercise, or work on my form if I was still struggling. Buster Raymond Jordan: Great gym to get away and actually get down to business. The people are friendly, but not to chatty which is a plus. The equipment is versatile and nicely spread out. The staff overall very polite. I would recommend. Abc financial although is roothless. Never give up, never surrender.
Rob Segura: Been at this gym since day 1 which is many years! Gym is spacious with wide variety of free weights and machines just about everything you need to achieve your fitness goals. The results you gain comes from what you put in! I would disregard most of the negative comments. If your looking for a perfect gym, youâll never find it!! Lots of Good people workout here and good staff!

Keith Vu: Been my gym for over 5 years. Give as good as it gets - we all struggled. As in anyone in a cycle - we have our ups and downs. I stuck to it because there is good people there - no hassles with members or staff, and the equipment is 98% up at all times for the majority of the years I been there. If there is an issue - raise it up so it's addressed and they usually get to it fairly quick. So all good here.
Mark Towber: The ONLY gym I can think of that stayed open during most of the Covid BS.... just on that alone gets my double thumbs up. Plenty of equipment to choose from. Plenty of steel plate weights. Very few times when I had to wait for a station because it was in use. Have yet to see a station not in working order. They have water-massage tables for after your workout. Easy to find.... plenty of parking. Management there is doing a very good job overall .... and cost was less than what other gyms charge.
