Palo Alto Vineyard Church: what do users think?

John Elmer: Very warm and friendly gathering. I felt comfortable as a new person. Worship was good with a sense of the Holy Spirt. I’d guess there was almost 200 people there. They teach out of the Bible and it was relevant. The week I was there they had a baby dedication and it was super sweet how they did it. Very diverse congregation. If I lived in the area I’d definitely go back

Christelle Ngaleu: People are very kind, lovely, friendly there. No jugement, they love you as you are.

Dumi Melody Mphamba: I came to Vineyard as a recent college grad looking for a spiritual home in the Peninsula. This church provided a wonderful community and was full of very genuine people.

Daniel Heywood: I miss this church dearly. I attended for several years during grad school, and then remotely through the early stages of the pandemic. It has a rare mix of cultural and generational diversity, and a genuine desire for and pattern of investment in the local community. It is persistently welcoming, and simply a great group of people, some of the most kind and thoughtful I know.

Kirsten Peterson Beshay: for the community!

Gary Claassen: We'd been searching for a church for at least a year before we discovered the Vineyard in Palo Alto. At each one we visited we talked about it as a family and asked our 6-year-old what he learned that morning. Week after week he said he wasn't sure .. until we came to the Vineyard. After service he was totally pumped, we asked him what they learned and he described moment by moment along with what he'd chosen to do to apply it that next week. We loved the worship, teaching, and community too and knew we found home! Close friendships in a few different midweek family small groups and a common active participation with God's work continue to this day. We're so grateful!

Paul Castiglione: . I appreciate the authentic sermons…that invite me to an honest relationship with Jesus, a mysterious God. And there’s coffee and donuts every week!I really like the intentional care for the Palo Alto / Mountain View community through partnership with three primary nonprofits, who invest in actual relationships with those negatively impacted by the dramatic income inequality in the area.I found it easy to try various groups and services offered: connected with a biweekly small group, joined the Sunday Service tech team, and I like meeting people from outside the church at the bimonthly food distribution.I’m new to the area and my most committed friendships are from this community!

Nancy Chan: and practice of prayer/ spiritual gifts

Denise Roldan: Very helpful and very nice people.always willing fine away to try to help you

Anil Pannikkat: The church meets at JLS middle school in Palo Alto but once service starts it feels like we are in the middle of a beautiful church building because of the impressive heart filled worship and prayer which is available.I and my family have been attending this church for about 19 years and has seen it change a lot. It is a very diverse place racially, geographically, age and income wise. We have many Stanford students, tech people from Apple, Google etc and blue collar attendees reflecting many view points. Small groups help to connect outside Sunday Church. My kids have grown in the youth programs. All in all an place where you will grow in God and relationships

Karen Isaacs: I've been a part of this church for over 9 years and people have become like family away from family. I love the transparency and how genuine the leaders are. Great place to walk in community with others and grow in your Christian life, independently of how long you have been doing it.

Edd Russell: We visited this church for the first time since moving away from this area 25 years ago. We appreciated the emphasis on knowing Jesus and the worship music which was not overly hyped but was well done and nuanced which helped me to focus on Jesus. Only strange thing was a message in the current series which was centered on a movie, and though scripture was used throughout, it felt a bit strange.

Jane Paris: I appreciated the music, the thoughtful sermons and the offer to pray for individuals up front at the end of service.

Karen Stevenson: A friendly, down to earth place to check out Jesus and find faith together. From the solid, draw-you-into-God's-presence worship to the practical and thought-provoking message to a finding a place to fit in whether you are young or old, there is so much offered in this community. Pastor Susan is as real and approachable as they come, very caring and easy to connect with. Want to serve the least? - whether it be meals to the homeless, connecting people in jail to God, or helping out on a short trip missions trip to an orphanage in Nicaragua? You can do it here. Need prayer? You may not meet a more dedicated group of people to stand alongside you and encourage you. Want community? So many ways to get plugged in whether through a small group that meets during the week or a family - orientated activity that may happen after church on Sundays. Come check it out!

Kassie Press: Very welcoming and down-to-earth church that truly loves Jesus and seeks to love its neighbors well. There is a strong sense of community both in the Sunday services and in small groups and lots of opportunities to get involved and grow in faith, no matter where you are on your journey. Like other Vineyard churches, prayer is also a big focus and every week there is an opportunity to pray with others and hear from God- always very encouraging and uplifting.

Keith Porthouse: We have been going to this church for 11 years and really love it. It is a wonderful community of people who are trying to love and follow Jesus.

Jairo Arreola #soldbyveteran: I love the energy and the whole set up. They have great production and you can easily see they work really hard to execute the service. Pastor Chase does a great job delivering that weeks message dissecting scripture and helping everyone understand it through modern events, lingo etc. I will continue to recommend VIVE San Jose to those that are in search for a new Church and a positive message.

Akailliah Walker: The church is very welcoming and informative. They also take care of children all ages.

Jimmy T. Nguyen: I love this Church and I love the people! The Church is always welcoming. Pastor Beka & Pastor Chase are both awesome! The Church is well organized. Sunday service starts at 9:30 AM and a second service at 11:30 AM. You can also catch our main campus on YouTube live at 9:30 AM. Hope to see you there! 😇🙌

Diana Rubio♥: Vive SJ has been my home church for over a year and the amount that I’ve learned and the community I’ve been surrounded with is beyond what I thought possible!Pastor Chase & Pastor Beka are always speaking life into us and are always available and responsive to our needs. As a result of their leadership and teachings, I’ve seen the growth in my own life co-leading VoxGen, our youth ministry. Not only in spiritual growth but personal growth as well!If you’re in need of that breakthrough, community, or guidance then Vive SJ is definitely the place! God is so good for showing me this place

Candice St Amant: Vive San Jose became my home church a little over two years ago and I never looked back. God is moving in this space and it is so evident from the minute that you walk in.The community is incredible and extremely welcoming. It's easy to find people to do life with here, in and outside the church. Worship is epic. Kids ministry is next level. 5 stars all around.

adam forget: I was looking for a church to call home. Immediately stepping into Vive Church, I felt a strong community presence. Everyone was very welcoming and it was easy to get plugged in and connected. Pastor Chase brings a powerful word and is exciting and engaging at the pulpit. The church is growing and there are a lot of opportunities to serve. Join one of the many life groups to strengthen and grow in your faith.

Lani Y: Friendly and welcoming for sure!Love the vulnerability and the heart of Pastor Chase and Pastor Beka for the city of San Jose. They have such a big heart for people and it shows.Worship here has always been so powerful and there’s always a timely Word for my season every week. Literally the BEST place to get rooted in community and build friendships that actually overflow out of just Sundays.

Alexandria Dribnock: I started attending VIVE 2 years ago and have called it my home church ever since! The second you walk in you enter such an amazing and welcoming atmosphere and it carries on throughout your time there. Pastor Chase and Pastor Rebeka truly have a way in this space, from the worship, to the Royal Kids Ministry, and the messages that are preached, it truly leaves me in awe every Sunday. This community is seriously the best thing I’ve been a part of.

Irene Guzman: I recently decided to call VIVE church home. Some of the things I love about VIVE is the atmosphere that the production and worship team create, the diversity within the leadership and just the overall welcoming and friendly community. Pastor Chase and Beka lead this campus as a power couple and they do it so well. They speak straight from scripture and are so intentional, honest, and knowledgeable. This is an amazing church and now Is a place I call home.

Buster Raymond Jordan: Although I can't really give a detailed review as I visited this church once, but I would like to at least credit the pastor for reading and transcribing the Bible as sections, not one liners on repeat. I found the audience to be passionate and free. Good vibes.

Biana87: Love this church I've gone a few times to this location and the people and the person who preaches are awesome people. Friendly as soon as you come in. The messages are good and funny too. A good church to go to if you live in San Jose.

James and Celina souffrant: Great lead pastors, lots of activities for the family and really inspiring messages

samantha birtola: Best Church Ever!

Isabel Wang: An amazing church community that really loves the Lord as well as each other. So much Bible-based practical wisdom being taught on a weekly basis, and so many opportunities to get to know others. If you’re looking for a church to call home, be sure to check out VIVE!

Kayleigh Chang: each Sunday. They sing songs, read Bible stories, and pray over my son weekly. He has even started to bring his hands together and pray with me each night before bed now! So sweet. Definitely recommend checking it out!

First Church San Jose: what do users think?

Nathaniel Gutierrez: I believe it would be hard to find another church in San Jose where you can fill the love and the peace of God this strong! This is an awesome church and the pastor puts so much focus on the spiritual development of our children! i've never seen this many children in a church raising their hands and crying and feeling the presence of God like this!

Joe Kerr: A great community that's very supporting and connected. Definitely a place to get closer to God.

Besides that the singing, teaching/preaching were 💯 I’m also biast 😂 coming from my home church where I love everything & everyone, I just wanted to say having to be temporarily away fr my church, I am thankful for the services we got to experience at this First Pentecostal Church in San Jose CAAlso did I mention they made home cooked meals after every Sunday night service? I mean😍… doesn’t get better than that!

Emmanuel Presbyterian Church: what do users think?

Y&N: and Sunday services plus many extracurricular outings inbetween. We especially love our particular Enoch cell group and it's leader, Deacon Lee & wife 이권사님! We have made such amazing friends here within our age group. Everyone keeps in contact via KakaTalk, where we are held responsible for our daily QT, Bible discussions and prayers. The Head Pastor, Pastor Park Sung Ho, is such a respectable minister with a gentle, kind and intelligent demeanor. All head pastors are voted in and are not just appointed in, which was nice to hear. The only thing is of course to be mindful and respectful of others' political opinions especially dealing with our current South Korean political issues 04.2024 :/ We were told this church is exactly 50/50 Conservative/Democratic.

Adrian Roh: Pastor’s sermon is really good.

황현민: Nice

Joshua Lee: Great Church

John Tahk: Infinite growth in Christ faith!
