Manfred Kopisch: Joe is a pleasure to work with on so many levels.- He made himself available on the weekend as I couldn't keep the deer cool for much longer- He kept me informed about every step of the process and it was fun to get updates and photos in-between- Most importantly: He is an expert in what he does and created a wonderful memory for me.

Kristen Warren: There were very few taxidermists to be found in the Bay Area and after reading reviews on Fish Feathers we knew it would be the right choice. Our 16 year old was so proud of his Mallard and wanted it mounted and decided it would be a special 16th bday gift from us. So we contacted Joe in Dec 2021-he was honest about how many clients were ahead of us and expected to be done around Nov 2022. He gave us periodic updates once he began the process. To our surprise Joe was done almost 3 months early! We couldn’t be happier with how awesome it turned out and our son is so proud to show it off to anyone that walks through our door! I highly recommend him if you looking for a skilled and reasonable taxidermist. We all have birds that have great backstories and I am more than happy with the way it came out. ethan: Joe has done some amazing work for me in the past. He is very helpful and open to options. For my boar, he said it would take about a month, and it was ready right on time, same with the duck. I highly recommend this taxidermist for the people that live nearby.

Steve Paff: Joe was great to work with. I am an avid duck hunter and have been looking for a good taxidermist to help save my memories from the field. I reached out to Joe last season and he was quick to reply and I dropped off my drake with him same day. He let me know how busy he was and that it would be 7-8 months. I was fine with this. After initial drop off Joe followed up with me to get a better idea of what I wanted. After talking it out and sending some pics for ideas we were on the same page. Joe kept me up to date through out the 8 months, even proactively reaching out to me to keep me in the loop. After 8 months I picked up my drake today and couldn't be happier. my1975pacer: This Muskie spent the first 20 years of its life hanging above the Thousand Islands hotel bar. It was one of the largest recorded for almost a decade. My father inherited it after my grandfather passed away and sadly it did not hold up well in storage over the last 33 years. The time spent above a bar soaking in cigarette smoke and kitchen grease didn’t do it any favors. Joe was professional and extremely detail oriented and restoring this beautiful fish back to her former glory. Because of his attention to detail and care, this fish will last another 50 years in my family. Highly recommend Joe for any and all skin mount needs.
Joe McGrath: Positive:ValueMy father-in-law caught our 103 lb Marlin in Mazatlan Mexico in 1972. It had deteriorated with cracks and peeling paint. We didn’t think it could be salvaged, but Joe took it and made it beautiful again! It took a while, but was well worth the wait. Joe is an artist and worthy of being entrusted with your most cherished trophies.
