Erin Kelly-Weber: I highly recommend Jennifer Lewis and Joy & Laughter Developmental Therapy! We took our our 2 month-old daughter to see Jennifer after many weeks of difficulty with breastfeeding and low milk transfer. Jennifer knew right away what to do and gave us exercises to work on. After just a few weeks, our daughter improved so much and it really transformed our breastfeeding journey. We are so grateful to Jennifer and JLD for their support!
Karen: My 6 months old baby had bottle aversion and remained 1 percentile since birth, and finally my pediatrician suggested to see feeding therapy. Never heard of this specialist!Since our in-network feeding therapy had a few months waitlist and that’s way too long for my baby, my pediatrician referred us to see Joy & Laughter. Yet I was told it’s a long waitlist to see Jennifer, the feeding therapy, as well. However, once Jennifer knew my baby’s infant and she accepted our case immediately!Jennifer carefully observed my baby eating habit, how she drank, etc, and then she offered different suggestions and strategies to encourage my baby to chew more and chew better in every sessions. My baby gradually ate more since then and finally she caught up and learned how to chew more efficiently. Also, Jennifer’s a great listener, very supportive and encouraging. It’s mentally challenging when your baby had eating aversion and difficulty to thrives. I’m glad we had Jennifer to help!
Annalise Manno: there was already improvement. After her second appointment she was pretty much eating normally. I am so grateful to have found Jennifer and have relief knowing I have such a fantastic resource to reach out to should any other issues come up. From the front desk staff, to working with Jennifer and the other friendly staff members there, I can’t recommend this place enough.
Vanessa Liu: and I'm so glad that we found her.When I first called, we weren't going to get seen for another one or two weeks out. I even called the front desk to ask if we can be seen earlier but they said no. BUT when Jennifer saw our intake form and noticed it was for a newborn, she had her team call us back right away to be seen the following day. You can imagine when a baby is not eating well, you don't really have a week to wait, so we're thankful she made an exception to see us so quickly.Upon meeting her, I was calmed by her warm and caring demeanor. She is attentive to our daughter and reassuring to us as first time parents. She is gentle and waits for baby’s permission. She helped observe some behaviors with our daughter and gave us advice that helped reduce baby choking when feeding.What really knocked the ball out do the park is Jennifer even went out of the way to check in on us. She even wrote a referral letter for us so that we can be seen sooner by a different specialist. She made sure to share observations with us so that we can continue to work on improving my daughters situation.I wish every pediatric provider was like Jennifer L. Especially when these little ones can't advocate for themselves. Thank you Ms Lewis!

From having just 3 word utterances, my child now excitedly talks to Mr. Kyle at length about his day and shares about every part of his life during sessions. We are blessed to have someone so genuine, down to earth and truly invested in our child’s speech improvements. Stacie-Uyen Ngo: My son has been with IICA since 2yo for both ST & OT services. He is now 8yo and still receiving speech therapy w/ IICA. He has gone through many therapists in person and via zoom over the years. However, despite the constant changes in therapists especially in the early days he never seem to have any problems with the transition from one therapist to another. It did not affect his progress over the years. That comes to show how great the therapists are in what they do. We have gone through maybe, 7-8 long term therapists and therapists for make-up sessions. To me, they are all very special as they have helped and supported my son with his speech & language skills to where he currently is today, a very talkative & sociable boy. Their passion shows in the patience they have for my son as some days may be challenging but they still manage to make it work for him and proceed with the session. I can always talk to them about my concerns and reach out via email to receive a prompt response.Lastly, special thanks to the admin team for always being quick and responsive to my emails in helping me coordinate sessions that works best for our family.
Ishmeet Gujral: My picky eater has become an adventurous eater. Thanks to IICA speech. Their senior therapist Tayler Kina worked really hard and well with my son for more than 1.5 years and she brought a world of a difference in my son’s eating habits. He was very reluctant to trying new things and would only eat a handful of things. We started oral therapy for him in December 2020 and continued till August 2022. He is now open to experimenting with food and enjoys a variety on his plate. Highly recommend the practice.
Jessica W.: I am so thankful we found IICA and that Ms. Anna joined when she did. IICA's team and clinic had everything we needed. The front end staff was always patient with scheduling, until we found the times that worked best for my son's window of attention, our transitions in frequency and in person/ virtual. Ms. Anna nurtured my son's needs and mine as a mother. She tailored his sessions to always include subjects he was interested in- from his shark obsession to his new love for dinosaurs. She was always patient when he wanted to do the same underwater puzzle every session, or when he saw something in his virtual session that he would rather try - although it was not in her lesson plan. She always led with patience and love. Every session I would see an improvement and learn new areas I should focus on with at home care. All the worries I ever had with my son's speech were addressed and validated with Ms. Anna. I wish every family facing the worry I did, had the opportunity to have the individualized care Ms. Anna showed us.

I was recommended to IICA by a friend, because of their professionalism and their good reputation here in the Bay Area.My son has been struggling to communicate well with people for years. With IICA support and the services they provide, he has improved in his communication with other peers. He is happy with how supportive Taylor and Anna are.
Cinthya Rosales: My daughter has been doing virtual classes for almost a year and the improvement we've seen on her it's just amazing! Big thank you to Ms.Tyler and Ms.Celia For Always being so patient with my daughter and for always making her smile and laugh, she looks forward to her classes every week. IICA Speech always goes beyond for everything, They sent my daughter a birthday card back on her birthday and she started crying because they remember her birthday and they made her feel very special. There's days where my daughter isn't paying attention 100% and they always communicate with her to see what is the issue or if there's something she would like to differently. Shawna M: We’ve had a very good experience at IICA. My son gets speech, feeding therapy and OT here. Having all these services under one roof is very helpful and convenient. The therapists seem to sincerely care about my son’s progress. I really appreciate the consistency of the therapists, we’ve mostly worked with the same ones since we started here two years ago. Other therapy centers we work with have a high turnover which is difficult when working with children.I also love how they keep me informed of his progress. Before COVID, when we were able to have in person sessions, he would go into the session by himself. I liked how the therapist would tell me everything that they worked on so I could take that information home and continue his learning.The office staff is also very helpful. They promptly return any scheduling or billing inquiries I may have.
Khanh Do: My son has been attending IICA speech for a couple years now and has benefitted a lot. The speech therapists are engaging and have transitioned through the pandemic well.When it was in person they would take the kid to their office and come back giving feedback and how they did and what they worked on.Now in this stage, the sessions are online and there are fun videos and games the kids play while going over the speech development. Obviously as the adult you may have to help with the technicals, but it’s also good to see what your child is working on real time so you can work on it the rest of the week.My son is currently working with Tayler and Shareen, but wonderful therapists that motivate him to do well in their quick session. It’s nice to have professionals that also work with kids well.Sidebar: After we transition back to normal, it will be interesting to see if the zoom option stays as it adds more flexibility for parents, and I assume the employees. Just check with your insurance to see if that option is covered!
d x: IICA Speech Service has been an integral part of my son's speech progress. My son has been receiving speech therapy from Ms. Tayler and Ms Olivia, both of whom have shown their professional and caring attitude towards their work.
Aman Kaur: I have been bringing my son here since April 2019. He has made amazing strides and progress in speech. I have been very happy with the staff here, they have always been friendly, professional and very helpful. They do everything they can do accommodate our changing schedule. It's been a great experience far, Nikki, Natalie and Shareen have done an amazing job working with my son. My child can now communicate with us and has started attending preschool all within 3-4 months of coming here for speech therapy! I would highly recommend IICA for all parents that have children dealing with speech delay.
