Zach Domke: Being a part of Troop 80 was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. They helped me to grow into the person I am today. The leadership skills I learned are immeasurable and the experiences countless.
Gabriel Diaz: very good! Scouts are good and campouts are fun.Overall: nice/10
Christopher Hoover: An awesome, boy-led troop with lots of high-quality, fun activities. Boys will make friends, learn outdoor skills and practice leadership.
Cary Higgins: through all the camping, climbing, backpacking, river stomping, service, canoeing, rafting, and many more activities. Adult and scout leaders are excellent, and the troop is almost all boy-led. I would highly recommend to anyone considering joining :
Trevor Tonge: An amazing troop focused on getting outdoors and teaching scouts useful skills through camping, backpacking, climbing, and volunteering. Joining this troop is one of the best decisions I have ever made because it has allowed me to pursue my love of outdoor adventures while getting the chance to mature and become a better leader.
Timothy Ruzon: Super fun troop! Been in troop for four years, had a blast every moment. Lots of climbing and backpacking trips. Great leaders and scribe.
Laura Irwin: yet it sticks to it's mission of a boy-led troop. As an only child it was important our son built "a community" of his own and with Troop 80 that's just what he has!
Barry Tonge: An outstanding that is truly "boy led". As a parent, I have enjoyed watching the scouts, including my son, be stretched and matured as leaders. The quality of the outings, adventures and camps have been top notch. If you're interested in a troop size that will allow your son and your family to truly get to know the scouts and families Troop 80 is an excellent match. Come by and visit!
DJ Bahl: Troop 80 has been around for more than 50 years. It is a boy lead troop. What this means is that the boys actually lead the troop. I was told when my son joined the troop to, "keep my hands in my pockets". Let them try to do it themselves. We are only there to guide and only take charge if absolutely necessary. My son thrived in this environment and loved it. He is an eagle scout currently with the troop. Advancement is not pushed on the scouts. They choose to advance at their own speed.Troop 80 is a very active troop. They rock climb, go on backpacking trips & went to the channel islands this year. I am so grateful for troop 80.
Emily Cao: My son was quite reserved before but after joining troop 80 he became more outgoing. He learned how to set up tents, to cook, to climb etc. I am glad of the friends he have made in troop 80 and am glad he joined.
Karen Tsai: My son never went through Cub Scout. Upon a friend's recommendation, we joined troop 80 and we never looked back! Even though he is a bit on the quiet side, he still finds his voice within the troop. It is a true boy led troop where they boys determine trip planning, lead meetings, and manage their own advancement. The positive peer pressure is the best way to motivate them to keep going instead of being pushed through for the sake of ranking up. Troop 80 is also known for its rock climbing trips and they truly have been one of the best experiences for him. If you are looking for a great group for your son to journey through scouting and Monday nights work for you, come check it out!
Anne Bahl: Troop 80 has taught my son to be a proactive, organized planner that respects authority and owns his personal responsibilities. The activities has been the highlights of his teen years thus far. I cannot say enough about what this troop has done for his character and leadership developement!
Dylan Gibson: !
Eric Anderson: What drew me to Troop 80 is that it is boy-led. It is very important to me that my son learn independence and leadership skills in a supportive environment, and I feel having teen role models who are truly leading has and will continue to be invaluable to him. In addition, Troop 80 has a good balance and variety of trips. And it's fun! My son has been having a great time on the trips and in the meetings alike.
Erik Gibson: Troop 80 has exceeded all my expectations of Boy Scouts. I am so proud of my son and the way he has matured over the last year, and I can see how being part of a truly scout-led troop has played a big part in his development as a young man.
Pierre Grubb: Great scouts, great adults, boy-led troop. Goes camping on a monthly basis to exciting and fun places. They do demand consistent attendance and good uniform.
