James Capote: Nice and quiet with the exception of the group of homeless that has lived in the parking lot for the past 5 years right near the restroom which is next to everything there.
Sonny Ng: Pleasant picnic park with surprisingly abundant amenities including picnic tables, grills, and restroom facilities in addition to a playground, short trail and nice vista overlooking the nearby hills and subdivisions. A nice little oasis for a quick escape back to nature!
Nicolas Lara: Very good place and excellent parking, the only thing that could perhaps be improved would be the bathroom service, only one and it is difficult but an excellent place to have a party with advance reservations.

Lina Nevius: It鈥檚 in the heart of Almaden Valley. It鈥檚 challenging to find as you must drive carefully to a little mountain. The view of the city from here is spectacular. The trails are excellent. The best and most helpful ranger was around to help. I had a good experience. 鉂わ笍
Jennifer Ann Plaggmier: even dirt biking in this park sin莽e long before it was a park, 1970 to be exact. It was still a running mine then. I know every square inch of this park and still absolutely love being in it. Gorgeous views, well kept trails, can go for miles without covering same trail.

Metro Account: Pretty area to get away and enjoy some nature.
Go Fish: Love taking my horses out on these trails. I would say it's a great place for any level of riding experience for both horse and rider. In the past, I've had a ton of bobcat sittings but they never bothered us. Great views. Nice area to park and hang out before and after riding.

Jose Aguilar: The place is beautiful, with lots of family parties or friends gathering. I did see a minimal amount of homeless, but they do have park rangers patrolling some areas. We got a nice spot under the trees even in the hottest day they have a massive amount of trees to keep you cool, bathrooms are my biggest compliment they are not maintained well at all other then that a good place for a walk or a family party.Restrooms: Restrooms are dirty, and they ran out of toilet paper.

A flat loop of trail to be able to walk, jog and bike. Good for dogs and kids. Fees required but many other entrances if only for trail.
Lillian Chaudoin: Wonderful park, all volunteers were very helpful. A master gardener helped me carry all the plants I purchased to my car. All the volunteers were very knowledgable on all the plants. It was a wonderful day because of all the people working this event. I plan to go back next year.馃尰

JR McKee: Having lived here my entire life I've only been to hell your park at night to see the Velodrome. During the daytime the park takes on an entirely different dynamic. My first thought was wow, this feels like vasona coming in many ways it's similar to vasona, just as nice, there's a little bit of freeway noise but nothing too obtrusive. I found the picnic areas were nice, they clean the trash bins, the trails were nice The facilities were well kept. All in all I was extremely impressed with the overall look, feel, cleanliness, maintenance and quality of life that it afforded the party that I was with. Highly recommend.Playground: There's a playground with lots of kid friendly activities and equipment that seem to be well maintained.Restrooms: Bathrooms are pretty clean and sanitary, not too far from each area.Dog-friendliness: I did notice quite a few dogs, not just in the party in the picnic area that I was at but they're quite a few dogs walking around with owners along the path.Picnic area: The picnic area that I attended had two tables, trash, barbecue and was well laid out in terms of function and ease of use. Nelly Ayala: From the Hellyer stop sign I made a left and another quick left. Leads to a parking booth. Turning right you can go either straight and park near the jungle gym, playground and BBQ picnic area, OR you can go right and it will lead you to another parking area more towards the back of the park, where there are benches near the lake, trails to walk or ride your bike. I never payed attention to how nice this park feels. I used to love going to Alum Rock Park but I started getting a little scared of the wild life, mostly the Big Cats that seemed more frequent. Hellyer is also like a little water park, has restroom nearby. It was really beautiful. I didn't know the ambiance was so delightful. Lots of shade with a nice open space in the middle for kids to fly kites and play. I definitely would love to visit and explore more of this park.
