Carol Lau: Vibrant and alive grasslands. Soothing my eyes and soul. Easy trials. Too early for wildflowers blooming. Will definitely go back soon.
Deepa Murthy: Beautiful place to hike. The view fromThe top is just stunning. You can see the city views from the top. Ample parking space and hike is moderately easy.
Ronil Sawant (Californiaaa_baybae): Coyote Peak and Ridge Trail Loop -3.8 miles and 1 hr 50 mins to completeModerately challengingProbably the Best park in San Jose since there are Lots of different trails & many different ways to choose from. The trails are clearly marked, but they can get a bit muddy after rains. Benches are scattered around the scenic spots. The best time to visit is in April. Since the trail is completely exposed, April is not that hot. Also you can see a lot of wild flowers, even Poppy.Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.Kids friendly hikeRestrooms: Few restroomsDog-friendliness: Allowed on leashPicnic area: Many benches
Bob: Good jogging/hiking trails. Been my park for over 50 years. Looking SW, the low grassy hills are RanchoSan Vicente/Calaro.The woody hills behind that is Almaden QuickSilver Park
Ruben Salazar: Great trails, short and long not many trees but usually mild weather, watch for mountain lions, rare but they're around. Love this park!

Fatemeh Ramezani: Wonderful hiking trail for socializing and doing activity in the nature. Highly recommended.
Orly Liba: Awesome steep trails, great views of the bay and Mt. Um.No restrooms or water anywhere. Beware of poison oak and snakes.
J Bri: permanently closed to bikes - including the Senador Mine trail & Webb Canyon entrances
leslie landauer: This is an amazing county park in back of a neighborhood! Lots of parking and many trails to choose from. Lots of up hill but trails are well marked and in good condition. Good variety of vegetation and picnic tables along the route. Some sunny areas as well as shaded areas so bring sunscreen and lots of water.
Dude: In A Nutshell:-Almaden Quicksilver County Park is a nice gem, deep in the foothills of Silicon Valley.-This is Pat Tillman country too.-If you want a wide variety of paths to choose from, this place will fulfill your needs.-Not only do you get options, but you also get a varied scenery of rolling hills & foliage.-There are couple trees here where miners were hung.Overall, be wary of mountain lions as they do roam around since it's their home, not ours.
Rima Mehta: Dog-friendliness: Very suitable for dogs!
Todd Fitzwater: Great trail network. Very Hilly. Lots of up and down. Pretty views. Old mining spots. Old towns. Old cemetery. Pretty cool. Muddy in the rain.
Vesper Aeon: Was listening to AKFJC when I heard about this park, so I decided to go check it out. It is pretty damn big, and the hills are pretty Steve, so make sure you bring a canteen full of water.

Orlando V. Perrotta: site where disgusting. They had not been change or emptied since April 2024 and it is now June. They where so full that waste was already almost to the top of the toilets. The permanent bathrooms away from our site were pretty decent and nice but, you would have to drive there if you really needed to go.
naga sar: Great for hiking but scary to drive up there.Playground: Lots of trails for hiking.Restrooms: Restrooms very clean 👌.Dog-friendliness: Yes dogs 🐕 welcome.Picnic area: Many picnic places.
Qingli Ma: Great place for hiking and camping! There is no T-Mobile signal, butt there is free WiFi at the entrance of the park.
devika apte: Weird elevation, had a bit of motion sickness
Becky Roberts: Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs and their owners and lots of space. The only not dog-friendly thing is the long grass/foxtails.
Benedict Pedro: Outstanding park for hiking, off-road biking, camping, and picnicking. Rangers have been friendly, and the trails are well marked and maintained.2024 update: The trail intersections now have numbers that correspond to what shows up on the map. Huge improvement!
L MG: One of the most beautiful parks in the Bay Area, excellent trails and great encounters with wild life. Especially now after the rains, all wildflowers are going to make the park even more special.
Matty B: Your first real good look at Mt. Hamilton. If you walk over to Quimby Road, you can get a really nice view.
Lois Truelove: Wonderful place for hiking and wildlife watching.Got to see deer and rabbit in the morning. All kinds of birds.Restrooms: They have showers that you don't have to feed quartersDog-friendliness: Keep on leash
Tyler Parris: Great hike I took on a Saturday morning! Beautiful views of Mt Hamilton & some gorgeous lakes with wildlife all around.

Oscar González Méndez: For children and adults
Mari T: Although it is a nice place, the bathrooms lack maintenance.Restrooms: They are totally neglected, they are disgusting!
Andrew MacDougall: Nice place to hang out well kept grounds snd all. Lame that you have to PAY to get into a county park.
Lala Reyes: Beautiful park. My puppy has a great time too.
Wheelos Dos: Great city park with lots of space a excellent playground.
JR McKee: Having lived here my entire life I've only been to hell your park at night to see the Velodrome. During the daytime the park takes on an entirely different dynamic. My first thought was wow, this feels like vasona coming in many ways it's similar to vasona, just as nice, there's a little bit of freeway noise but nothing too obtrusive. I found the picnic areas were nice, they clean the trash bins, the trails were nice The facilities were well kept. All in all I was extremely impressed with the overall look, feel, cleanliness, maintenance and quality of life that it afforded the party that I was with. Highly recommend.Playground: There's a playground with lots of kid friendly activities and equipment that seem to be well maintained.Restrooms: Bathrooms are pretty clean and sanitary, not too far from each area.Dog-friendliness: I did notice quite a few dogs, not just in the party in the picnic area that I was at but they're quite a few dogs walking around with owners along the path.Picnic area: The picnic area that I attended had two tables, trash, barbecue and was well laid out in terms of function and ease of use. Everything was clean when we got there ready to go have a very impressed
Undiscovered Galaxy: Playground: Well maintainedRestrooms: Clean restrooms
Evgeny Semionov: Nice park with hiking and biking trails. The hiking trail is flooded in two places - near the bike drive and just after the 101.Restrooms: There are 4 or 5 restrooms in different parts of the park.Picnic area: Many picnic tables with fire pits.
Allain Umalin: park is home to Hellyer Park Velodrome and Cottonwood Lake. Other recreational opportunities at the park include picnicking, hiking, fishing, biking, and a playground. Coyote Creek Parkway is a multi-use trail that is paved for 15 miles
Kavita Negi: It was an awesome experience at the park. The park is clean and the officer was kind enough to interact with us and offer help if we need. Overall it was a good experience with the family!!
Nelly Ayala: From the Hellyer stop sign I made a left and another quick left. Leads to a parking booth. Turning right you can go either straight and park near the jungle gym, playground and BBQ picnic area, OR you can go right and it will lead you to another parking area more towards the back of the park, where there are benches near the lake, trails to walk or ride your bike. I never payed attention to how nice this park feels. I used to love going to Alum Rock Park but I started getting a little scared of the wild life, mostly the Big Cats that seemed more frequent. Hellyer is also like a little water park, has restroom nearby. It was really beautiful. I didn't know the ambiance was so delightful. Lots of shade with a nice open space in the middle for kids to fly kites and play. I definitely would love to visit and explore more of this park. Thanks for the Invite to you BDay Cassie♥️🎉 see you tomorrow for round two Party Bus. 💋

Paul: Test drove this boat 32 years ago on calero reservoir I finished our story with it last weekend gave it to my son now he's going to start his new adventure with it clearo reservoir is awesome place to go spend the day..
Mi Nu: Very nice, beautiful view 💖
Rob Garneau: . Best in the spring when the wildflowers are blooming. Hikes can be challenging with fairly steep climbs.
lynsey Hudson: Beautiful lake. The rangers are always there to help you out of you need it. Lots of wild life
Natalie D. Wang: Nice view around the reservoir and so fresh
Mas S: Beautiful county park. Little lake, rolling hills, cattle, mountain biking...many ways to enjoy the park.
Dipak Modi: Numerous accessible trails wind through this park, offering breathtaking views of the Calero reservoir. The trails can get muddy during rainfall. There are prime spots for birdwatching and picturesque views of the reservoir, along with a handful of scenic picnic spots near the ponds.
Anastasiia Balyberdina: .Before visiting make sure the trails are open - during our visit most of the trail close to the reservoir was closed. The rest of it was quite muddy due to the recent rains. The hill trails were fine though.Restrooms: There were porta pottys at the trail head, didn’t see any on the trails.
Yi Lin: , I discovered an exceptional trail system that truly wowed me. The breathtaking views and diverse options available are particularly striking in the spring, when the hills are awash with vibrant green hues and clouds drift lazily across the azure sky. Initially, my plan was to tackle a 10-mile loop, but when the final third of the trail was unexpectedly closed, I ended up diverting an additional 3 miles along the reservoir. This unplanned detour was far from disappointing—the views were spectacular. The verdant landscape was the highlight for me, enhanced by the trail's excellent maintenance. A word of caution for summer hikers: the hilltop sections can be quite exposed to the sun, so it's wise to carry plenty of water or start early in the day. Overall, this trail ranges from easy to moderate difficulty, depending on which paths you choose to combine. Springtime, in my experience, is the optimal season for exploration.
Donald Jenkins: First time there. Did not explore park, but still had great view of Mt. Hamilton.

Panu Friedman: Wow!I've been living in San Jose for 4 Years, and just recently found this little gem hidden in plain sight!Parking is very limited on good weather days. But, if you can time it right or get lucky, the hiking trails is well worth the effort.I ended up parking in a nearby neighborhood and warmed up with a 10 minutes walk to the park. But once I got into the park area, I can instantly feel the impact of changing atmosphere. It's a great place to find my center.I didn't include any photos with my review here because I was capturing the scenery in vivid reality. 😶
