The Studio Climbing: what do users think?

Ashley Willey: The kids had a blast in their kids class. We will definitely go again!

Caroline Hobbs: We came here for a kid’s birthday party and it was great! All of the instructors are super patient and knowledgeable. Great place, we will definitely come back!

Narbeh M: Friendly staff and community! Great place to climb. A bit pricey, though.

Nina Jackson: Love this place, cool community, awesome people and workers

Robin Main: Great gym. Early bird specials. Strict on belay trsting.

Daniel Madalengoitia: , but the routes are very diverse and fun to try all the time. The staff is really amazing and the vibes of the place made me want to stay here as long as possible. They also have a small sauna room and a bunch of other amenities. Definitely worth a try if you are in the SJ area, I'm really gonna miss this gym!

Owen Ondricek: Very unique climbing gym, a bit cramped but the lead walls are impressive

M S: nice tall climbing walls, good routes, a nice smaller boulder and gym area, great ambiance and atmosphere from the older building , clean studio, thanks.

Ty Nguyen: fun times

Caro: Lots of top rope walls, definitely on the taller side of all gyms I’ve been to. I think a few routes are under-graded and much harder than they’re rated, but maybe I’m just not used to the intensity floor of this place. Still a great challenging place!

Laura Mantovani: and someone came up and mentioned it. For a Friday at 8pm, surprisingly not that packed so it was very nice as a first time guest.

Rashmi Ramaswamy: We had an incredible time! Highly recommend the 1-hour private lesson for beginner kids.Huge thanks to Adrian! He was wonderful and so patient with the kids. We are definitely planning to come back.

Movement Santa Clara: what do users think?

steakfries: devin and jesus are the goats, made our climbing experience 10/10.

David Nguyen: I decided to check out Movement Santa Clara to try a new gym in the northern California area, and it's enjoyable. I've been to Movement in Orange, and Santa Clara seems like they have a larger boulder area but a smaller gym section. The ceilings don't go as high, so they do feel slightly cramped inside the bouldering area. The routes range from VB to one v11. The difficulty seems on par with the other gyms in the area. The routes were varied in technique and skill but overall really interesting climbs. This gym also uses Kaya as the climbing app, which helps solo climbers figure out betas or log their sends. There's a kilter, tension, and campus board for training, and all of those areas were pretty empty the few hours I was there. The bathrooms were clean and were equipped with clean towels and showers but no sauna. The front staff was helpful in checking me in and asking whether I needed any type of rentals. The price for a day pass here is 33 dollars, which is a tad more expensive compared to a few other climbing gyms. This location also got very packed in the evening, around seven, when I was there. There's plenty of parking, though, which is a bonus. I'm definitely checking out the Santa Clara Movement in the future when I return to the area.

Vidya V: We recently hosted a birthday party for our twin boys who just turned 13, and had a large-ish group of about 15 kids. Jenean and Shea worked with us to make the experience a stellar one, making special accommodations as needed. While most folks there were adults, the staff took care of our group effortlessly, and ensured that each kid in the group had a good experience.

Khasar: All bouldering. There is a kilter and tension board, as well as a robust gym, yoga room, and locker/bathroom.

GrowFit (San Jose): what do users think?

Monika Korolczuk: My 4yo participated in the spring break camp and loved it! The GrowFit team had a variety of activities for kids of different ages, and it seemed so well organized. I’m sure we’ll be back!

Sandeep Seshadri: My son Attended the Spring camp with Growfit and the camp director and staff took good care and made the camp super fun for our son. He enjoyed it quite a bit and will definitely send him again. We have few other friends who have sent them to Growfit camps and they have been very happy with the staff and the program. Shoutout to Camp Director Sara and team for a a great spring camp!

Erin Horan: We have absolutely loved having our 8 year old son go to the growfit camp at the Plex during the school breaks! The camp is very organized and fun for the kids. My son enjoyed going everyday and even asked to go on days I hadn't signed him up. They keep them very active with soccer, indoor rock climbing, jump house, flag football, tag, and kickball. He enjoyed the camp counselors and was so excited to challenge himself to learn a dance and earn a popsickle! These camps are great during the school breaks. I'm so glad this is available and makes our son happy to go every day.

Rekha Arun: Kids liked it

Charles Liss: It's a really fun experience for my son. Not always perfect from day to day but it keeps him active and socially engaged.

Julieanne Salazar: My kids love this place. They’ve met a bunch of new friends and they love the activities that are offered.

Chantia Carroll: Growfit is great for kids to be active while having lots of fun. The coaches all are kind, listens, communicates and are very welcoming. My son loves the bouncy house, rock climbing and the end of the day frozen treat. He looks forward to going every day. It's very easy to sign up weekly or daily last minute.

Christina Lee: My daughter has been going to the GrowFit camps for 3 years. She loves the coaches and all the different activities especially the jump houses, skating, and basketball. She has made a lot of friends at the camps and even helps out with the little kids now. It’s great how the camp sends photos and how easy it is to sign up by week or by each day.

David Castellanos: This is the first year that my wife and I have sent our son here for summer camp, and he absolutely adores it. They have an advantage over their rivals because they are located inside and have air conditioning, which is especially advantageous during the sweltering summer months. Additionally, any issues that came up were promptly addressed. 5 out of 5 from my wife and I.

shih hsin Li: at Silver Creek Sportsplex is great for young children, it provides various different activities and the team is very responsive and easy to communicate. My child started going to the camp this summer, he really enjoys it.Positive Communication, Quality, Professionalism …

Ariana Bolton: My son had a great time at this camp! He said it was his favorite summer camp that he’s been to. He was able to do and try so many different things- bounce houses, roller hockey, rock wall climbing, dodge ball, kickball, musical chairs, and all kinds of other fun games! The counselors were amazing, and it was clear they were invested in the kids. They knew my son after the first day, and myself as well. I wish I’d had him try it earlier in the summer because I would have added additional weeks. We’ll definitely be back for camp here next year! Thank you to everyone at the GrowFit camp. You all did an amazing job and my son had a blast!

Harman Singh: We are very pleased to have our kid at Growfit during the Summer camp. Very professional and communicative.Positive Communication, Quality, Professionalism …

Sandy Jamison: My son Jett absolutely loves this program. It's a great way to keep your kids busy and active and off the screens for the summer. While his friends are home getting fat on the computer he is playing ball, roller skating, and developing team building skills. He really has a lot of fun and the staff are amazing. They are super nice and fun for the kids. I definitely recommend this program for kids.

Vira Khmelevska: My son has been here for 2 weeks. He was very happy! He found new friends adn had a great time. The coaches are nice. I would recommend the placePositive Communication, Quality, Professionalism …

Natalie Tran: Definitely love it here for my daughter! She loves coming and constantly asks if she’s going back. I sent her to a different camp for a week to give her some variety but she already asked to go back here after her first day. Love the staff here too. I love how there’s so much space and a variety of things for them to do. Will definitely be our go to camp every year!

Christopher Ortez: had a great week at "the Plex" with GrowFit. She especially loved the rollerskating and dodgeball games, not to mention daily bounce-house time. The camp was kind enough to provide pictures daily with action shots of all the fun they were having. They also were very thorough with the COVID-19 protocols, so that was very reassuring. Our daughter made several friends through the week and she can't wait to go back again

Trinidad Pizano: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueGreat staff. Super flexible and responsive.

Movement Sunnyvale (formerly Planet Granite Sunnyvale): what do users think?

Erica W: Awesome vibe. Friendly and helpful staff.Took the Intro class with Alon. Exceptional teacher! In a class of four, he took the time to demonstrate and explain to each of us.Looking forward to trying all of the yoga classes as well.

Kenton Anderson: which I actually prefer bc it looks and feels slightly more like real rock - especially on the crack climbs. This Sunnyvale gym also has a pretty good variety of crack routes. The fitness area is probably the largest I have seen in any climbing gym with a huge variety of equipment. During peak hours this place can get quite busy, so it's best to go on weekday mornings if possible.

Carmizzle: I just visited this gym as a visitor, but my husband is a regular member. He and his friends really like it! It looks busy, which is good for the gym.

Alessandra: Staff is always friendly and helpful. It can get crowded at times but overall an amazing vibe.

The Peak of Fremont: what do users think?

Abraham Esparza: This gym was amazing. The staff was nice, and all of the routes were interesting and easy to read. The other climbers were also really nice and approachable. It was my first time doing any kind of climbing, and it seemed like a positive environment. Perfect place to try out climbing if you have social anxiety! Total barely broke 30 bucks. Really can't recommend this spot enough! Cleanliness, friendliness, kindness all 10/10. Tips for success and having a great experience: feel the fear and do it anyway!

Renuka Balaraman: Well maintained climbing gym and great experience climbing.

John Lawson: The best climbing gym. Staffed by kids with great attitudes.

David Nguyen: I have been going to The Peak of Fremont occasionally when I am in the area. Overall, I've had a great experience with their staff and the community that climbs here. Everyone is friendly, and the staff, when they aren't busy, will greet you when you enter. The climbing gym is a part of a gym complex that's connected with several other sports. It's immediately on the left when you first enter the front door. This does mean parking can be a bit of a pain, but the parking lot is huge, and Peak of Fremont has their own little section to park at as well. The gym has a few bouldering walls, top rope walls, lead climbing walls, and auto belay. There's also a training area that's equipped with hanging boards, pull-up bars, free weights, barbells, and a kilter board. They have a variety of climbing routes that rotate often enough to keep beginners and more advanced climbers interested. If you're looking to get into climbing, I would say that this is a good location to start with.Edit: 03/23/24Went here again, and not much has changed, which is a good thing. Routes are still really fun, and they recently added a bunch of climbs that are not graded yet still very fun. I was checked off for auto belay, and that orientation was a few minutes. Staff is still helpful and kind. Climbers in the area are still nice to chat with. Overall, good time!

Frederic Thouvenin: Great gym! Great team! And good settings.

Karen Gonzalez: Lots of activities, plenty of parking, bathrooms were clean and food was good.

sirisha reddy kaipu: Such a fun place! Even for beginners it was challenging enough to keep you engaged. My kids enjoyed their time at The Peak.

Elena Kostrygina: Great place!

CY C: Although the place is not that big, I love the vibe there

Kartik Shah: Nice place for building some core strength. Safe for kids too. They do provide climbing shoes and harness on rental. Definitely recommend.

Qingyu Lin: Nice indoor climbing gym!

Phoenix Huang: My daughter loves the experience here!

Stanford Climbing Wall: what do users think?

D W: Great student gym. Routes are fun, creative, and frequently updated by routesetters. Agree with the other comment that the V0-V3 routes are much harder than other commercial gyms in the Bay Area but the rating probably reflects the actual grades. This is mostly a bouldering gym, since it is usually too crowded to set up top-rope or lead due to the routes being stacked and interwoven. The hours are weird since it is staffed by students. Regardless, this is still my favorite climbing gym in the Bay Area. Overall good vibes and friendly people all around.

hong yang: Daily stress vent

Sander Breur: Smallish, but great routes. Not too busy and routes change often enough.

Michael Evans: Nice for a college climbing gym.

Katherine Ding: Decent for a college climbing gym, but pretty small.

Ria Pal: Had a great time doing some facilitator led activities. Lovely space that gets fairly busy.

Tony Huang: Sat/Sun 1-4PM

Peter Montgomery: Nice variety of routes!
