Nina Cook: Lia was incredible to work with! My husband and I saw her this past year. She was easy to talk to and very sensitive toward our cultural and religious backgrounds, 10/10 would recommend!
jisocook: Lia is amazing at getting to the root of issues and working to find solutions that work and that you can really implament. I would highly recomend her. I also believe that she has a great understanding of Asian American parents and the values they hold and can provide proper guidence.
Fe Hmelar: Lia is an extraordinary therapist. She is kind, compassionate, generous of spirit and an effective therapist. I trust her implicitly, so much so that she is the only therapist I have worked with since our first meeting three years ago. Book your first session with Lia now. I guarantee she will leave you better than she found you.
Richard Dang: Lia is very understanding and kind. She makes us feel comfortable. My wife and I feel very lucky to have had her help us grow together as a couple.
Tien Lam: I had my first session with Lia today. She is a fantastic therapist not only for her great listening skills but also for her ability to empathize through her words, facial expressions, and body language. When you step into the room, you can really feel the attention and care she places onto you, and you only. If you seek out therapy with Lia, I highly recommend scheduling a day where the session is in-person.
Michael Ta: My Partner and I went with Lia as our couples therapist when our relationship was at its worse. Without her help and sessions, I’m sure my relationship with my partner would be where it is at today. Lia was very insightful and listens to what I had to say. She was impartial and gave constructive insight on my views and feelings, and same with my partner. We have been seeing her for over a year now, at least on a monthly basis. Even now when my relationship with my partner is in a good place, its been helpful to go through sessions just to get perspectives and understanding of my partner that i would probably have not known or discovered with the help of Lia. I don’t talk much and it is hard for me to put into words how i feel or express myself, but Lia was able to help draw it out and really helped the relationship between me and my partner.
Jackie Dao: My partner and I have been doing couples therapy with Lia for about a year now. I watched her video on her website and I felt she was a great fit for us, and we have been with her ever since. She is professional, nonjudgmental, and has so much experience in her field. My partner and I both love how Lia challenges the way we think to help us understand each other a little better. My relationship with my partner has grown so much because of her ability to facilitate deep conversations. We are so appreciative of her services and grateful to her ability to navigate us through a tough time. Thank you Lia!
Dexter Young: I have known Lia for over 20 years as a friend and an active participant in church ministries. She has the qualities required of a great therapist: a good listener, thoughtful, focus, attention to detail, discretion, communication skills, patience, respectful, and much more. She offers her clients/patients services of the highest professional caliber.
L hks: I started therapy with Lia last July. From the start, I found it very easy to talk with Lia. She is very warm and I felt very safe and comfortable opening up to her.Over the course of our sessions, she completely changed my view regarding therapy and what it can do in terms of healing, coming to terms with difficult things in my past, deconstructing wrong views and lies about myself, life, etc. She helped me make sense of things that occurred in my past and I was able to experience healing in so many ways I never thought possible. She gave me reasonable and sound advice on how to have difficult conversations and handle conflict with people close to me. Some of my relationships that had longstanding conflicts improved significantly as a result, which I never thought would happen. She spoke gospel truths about God’s heart to me that were so simple and yet so healing and uplifting.Lia genuinely cares about people and her clients. She thinks about them and prays for them.It has been a tremendously healing experience for me andI can honestly say it has been a life changing experience to go through therapy with Lia. If you are considering therapy, please take that step and start with Lia. You won’t regret it!
Stephanie Capell: I have known Lia for almost 30 years in a personal capacity and she exhibited the same qualities that make her an excellent therapist - compassion, kindness, and warmth - when we were students at UCLA.She has helped me personally, not just in college, but more recently as I have had some health struggles. I would recommended her to anyone who needs therapy.
mr t: Lia is an extremely brilliant counselor. She can figure out what underlying issues are quickly and prescribe a solution that when taken will pretty much alleviate or solve problems altogether. I highly recommend her.
Angela AC: Lia is a great therapist. This was my first experience with therapy and I couldn’t have asked for a more positive experience. Lia listens, understands, strategizes and helps find resolutions for her clients. She has helped my husband and I to better understand one another and navigate our marriage during stressful times and resolve conflict in a positive and effective manner. I can’t recommend her enough.Thank you for your help, Lia!
Trung Le: My wife and I have received counseling from Lia Huynh since at least 2015 on various issues including our relationship, on career, and on interacting with our traditional families. She has provided invaluable insight and guidance to us these past 5+ years to help us to grow as individuals, as a couple, to manage life stressors such as work and work-life balance, and to navigate a complex relationship within a collectivist, Asian family structure. I highly recommend a marriage-family-therapist to any couple, regardless of age, because this allows for an objective and non-biased counseling advice that is invaluable for couples and individuals to better understand the other's point of view or to better understanding ourselves. Lia Huynh is our preferred counselor with a highly flexible counseling schedule.
Patti Suen: I began seeing Lia recently and already I can see clear growth in my life as a result. Every time I step into her office, I feel safe and welcome. She is an amazing individual therapist as well as an amazing marriage therapist, as my husband also began joining my sessions. If you are going through any major life transitions while trying to heal from recent trauma/pain/baggage, it's definitely not easy. Lia has helped me move forward step by step, while helping me heal from the past at the same time. She understands the big picture and it's obvious she has years of experience counseling people. I definitely highly recommend her!
Vanessa Crawford: Lia has a way of helping you through things and giving you the tools to help you work on them daily. She’s my favorite therapist I’ve ever been to. I would highly recommend her to any family’s or couples.
Martin: As an Asian American male seeking mental help for the first time, it was important for me to find a therapist that can relate to my struggles. After weeks of constant search for someone, I finally felt comfortable reaching out to Lia. It was probably one of the best investments I’ve made for myself. Lia’s been helping me deal with a lot of loss in my life along with coming out of a relationship. I had really low confidence and really lost my sense of purpose. I understand there are a lot of things that are still uncertain as I embark on this journey of healing, but if there is one thing I can confirm, it’s how I feel after leaving every session. I hope that whoever reads this can find it comforting knowing you’re amazing and resilient for taking the first step by seeking help, and just know that you’re in good hands with Lia.
Blake Stockton: Lia worked wonders with her individual counseling. She was very professional and welcoming in her office. I wouldn't go to anyone else in the San Jose area and have recommended her to a friend.
Emily Cross: Lia is one of my colleagues and I highly recommend her. In order to have good therapy, I think it needs to be an environment of safety and trust. She provides this environment with her nurturing and care, yet she is also wise and highly skilled and is able to equip someone with tools for their specific situation.

Erica Lowes: Kari is a person with a kind heart and empathy, yet also will offer practical solutions. About twenty years ago I was in therapy for a few years. I imagine she would be a powerful therapist. Kari is always striving for better, and she would want her patients to strive for better in their life as well.
Taylor: I highly recommend Kari! She is a very knowledgeable and caring therapist who is passionate about helping others reach their goals.
Daniela: I have had the pleasure to work with Karina Del Real as a colleague. She is an incredibly dedicated, compassionate, and knowledgeable psychotherapist.
Kyungmin Chang: Kari is passionate, knowledgeable and genuinely cares. She's worked in a variety of settings and will go the extra mile to advocate for her clients. I highly recommend giving her a try!
Elizabeth Campos: I have known Kari for quite some time on a personal level and what I can say about her is as time has gone by she has encouraged me in many different ways and has even taught me how to gain confidence, assertiveness and appropriate boundaries. Her direct but non-judgmental manner has made some hard topics easier to address head-on, which I really appreciated. She is very passionate about her work and will go the extra mile for her clients and will take on their concerns as her own so that they can feel understood and heard. I would highly recommend her to anyone!
