At our 280-seat IMAX Dome Theater you’ll see, hear and feel more, with the world’s first laser projector for a dome theater, 9,000+ square feet of wraparound image, and 13,000 watts of digital surround sound. The IMAX dome experience with a laser projector is technically advanced and visually stunning, a one-of-a-kind movie experience. Offerings from renowned filmmaking companies like National Geographic and MacGillivray Freeman educate and entertain, with adventure, drama and emotion unfolding via IMAX’s trademark visual clarity and sound quality.
Seating is not assigned in the IMAX Dome Theater. Please arrive early to find your preferred seats.

Tejo Madala: IMax is located on the premise of tech interactive museum of san jose.Great fun activities for all ages of kids, fun for adults too. Great IMax experience with great sound quality

Nora Ismail: I loved the IMAX Dome theater at the Tech Interactive. I used to come here as a kid before they had the Dome, and I'm grateful this amazing technology exists. It reminds me a little of the 3D experience that Great America had in the nineties. You feel like you're almost in the movie being played or about to fall in.The sound is crisp, clear, and great for anyone who's hard of hearing but not yet deaf. I think they have subtitles if you can't hear at all. I can't hear well, but I could hear Jane Goodall's documentary so well in the IMAX Dome.The level of sound was too loud for my three year old nephew, though. He did not enjoy it and kept placing his hands over his ears. So, if you're bringing children who have great hearing, maybe bring headphones for them or anything to cover their ears that will subdue the sound.I always recommend the Tech Interactive as a cool spot to visit whether you're a tourist or a local to San José or the SF Bay Area. It's a fun and educational experience.

Fabian Perez: I watched GarfieldI laughed, I cried, and I remembered what family really meantI called my father after this movie and apologized for being a bad son, the relationship Garfield and his father was deep and personal sprinkled in with comedy to make those emotional moments very heartfelt and makes even more moments that will last a life time,I drove home talking about it non stop.
