Dave reached out to me within the hour to talk about the class and book some time. The CCW class was very informative and being that I have taken many pistol and rifle classes before I always look at the background of the instructor. In this case Dave was very knowledgeable, experienced, passionate and easy going with no ego. He went over the instructions clearly and made sure we understood and comfortable when handled the rifle and the pistols. He educated us on how important it is to be responsible when handling/owning a gun.Shooting the targets was easy yet not so easy. Sweat trickled down, blurring my sight as I focused. Wiping off the sweat, refocused, I imagined that a zombie is coming towards me, I pulled the trigger. The bullet hits the mark, and all I can say is:" Wow! That's amazing!"I said out loud: "Now, I can protect my son when the zombies come for us 😆 😂" If only they will stay in that same spot and not move, or move to the left or right at my request 😂For my daughter, she was glad that her first time handling a gun was a great experience as Loc was very patient and encouraging. She hit the marks every time. Loc said that if we listen carefully to his instructions, we will be able to shoot the exact spot on the target.Overall, Loc made our experience handling the rifle and the pistols an exciting time. You would feel awesome too when you can hit the targets 😀It really eased my apprehension about guns. I truly want to let all the ladies know that it is not as scary as it seems. We women, less stronger in strength than men, should be prepared and learn to protect ourselves and our families when the unfortunate occasion arrives.If anything, it is a great hobby. Cease Fire called every 15 minutes to post, patch or pull your target. Very organized and safety enforced. During cease fires all firearms must be down on bench, actions locked open, magazines out, chambers empty. Fantastic outdoor shooting experience. If you've not been here, you need to go. I still recognize at least one range-master on staff, been seeing him there since I was a kid! Over 40+ years going there. Highly recommend!

Jessie Jane: Came here once many years ago when I was still in high school, my uncle taught me how to shoot back in the day at this range. Recently started to get back into this hobby. This county facility is well run and managed. I would be a regular here.

The Gellet: Very affordable shooting range. Best for first time shooters. We go every time we have time on the weekend. Very knowledgeable staff. Always willing to help you out if you have a question or a problem with your gun. Just a bit crowded though on weekends but it's not that bad.

Just by reading the reviews I can tell you straight up - it's simple. The man has his store, he has his business and he knows what he knows and stands by what he stands for. And there are certain things he knows from his experience and from watching the world that he just won't stand for. Simple as that.You got a lot of kids out there with no integrity, no honor, no taste and are not trustworthy. I agree with the owner, there are guns that should not be legal to be bought and for many reasons. People need to know the dynamics.Fact: Communist countries send insurgents here -sometimes whole families, many times whole gangs - in order to commit crimes - and sometimes horrible ones. Why would a military send troops over the water or air when they can send non-troops right across the border and have them arm themselves there?This is exactly what's happening and this is many times exactly what hitmen spies and assassins do. It's not just throwaway-phones or throwaway guns out there.Nowadays governments use throwaway people.Gangs use throwaway people.Twisted organizations like the Satanic cult use throwaway people.If a man comes in and hardly speaks English and asks for an automatic assault rifle with hollow-tip bullets - in Willow Glen - I hope to God he turns them down or doesn't keep that in stock or there's laws against those types of guns being sold to the public.Don't get me wrong I'm a firm believer in our right to bare arms and I am a firm believer that right now we should most definitely be armed - but not all of us should be given guns.Discernment is needed. I'd rather have something like one of those revolvers with the wood-finished handles.This is the West why in the hell don't we act like it right. Good for protection if I ever need it and besides, people act like these crazy new guns are new XBox 360s video game counsels. These aren't toys and I'm sure the owner can tell who acts like they'd only have an itchy trigger finger once they get the gun. A person shouldn't be "fiending" for an automatic assault rifle. That's a red flag. Get a revolver, and be humble with it and pray you never have to use it on anyone. If that ain't your mentality - then you shouldn't be given a gun.

I walked out 6hr maybe more with my Hawkins ready to go and a Pennsylvania long rifle and all the means to fare away. They dont make these type of me many more. Allan Hirsch (BeastieBunny): I've been shopping here for over 30 years and can't understand why some people give this place bad reviews. Yes, Joe has a gruff exterior, but he has a heart of gold. You can talk knives or guns with him all day long and always come away with learning something new. At almost 90 he has the experience and knowledge of an encyclopedia. I am a knife collector and Joe will match or come close to most internet prices. He does not carry clones or cheap "gas station" blades. I've always had a great experience every time I walk in.

Owner very knowledgeable and seems to be a perfectionist as far as the details on the repair work he does, although he's a little slow on repairs so if youve any scoundrels that need immediate dispatch id suggest you either use a different gun or ask them to return when the repairs are completed ie: my smithy .38 short nickelplated job ur workin on now dawg. 😆

Charley Galdamez: My first time at this range and it was an overall great experience. They have excellent Covid-19 measures to ensure everybody’s safety. All staff and shooters were wearing masks, staff sprayed down each station with a sanitizing solution between use, there was one empty station between shooters to maintain physical distancing, staple guns to mount targets were sanitized by staff before issuance, and the range masters ensured separate households/social bubbles kept to their own lane and wore masks. Along with the health measures taken above, range masters kept firearm safety an absolute priority keeping it fun and safe for everybody. They willingly helped new shooters, offered tips/advice to shooters learning to operate new guns, and were extremely quick to help when there were firearm jams. Don’t hesitate to ask them a question, especially when it comes to firearm safety. Take a deep breath and just have a good time!The staff and Santa Clara County have done a phenomenal job at this range.Quick tips:You must reserve a range station in advance online.Bring your eye and ear protection.Bring hand sanitizer, water, and snacks.They provide you with a target and you can buy more. They were accepting credit/debit payment for the targets.There were two porta potties on-site.Have fun!
