Astlk Praht: .but i can tell you this place instills quality's like apparition of hard work, attention to detail, extremely strong and focused work ethic, communication, follow through and accountability all the quality that make up a successful leader! i believe that every young man, or woman should attend this year long PROGRAM to jump start their future and give them the confidence of knowing they are capable! and as long as you follow through to the end you'll end up with two scholarships!"hard work, low pay, miserable living conditions and more"i love and truly believe in the ccc, and wish i could work there again

Mary Buxton: I started out with Sierra Club outings when I was in my 20's...let's just say that was a while ago. I learned to love and appreciate nature with the Sierra Club. I now volunteer with our local Loma Prieta Chapter and do my best to protect nature. The people I meet are knowledgeable, experienced and friendly. Join us!Update 5/23 photos..a walk through Vasona Lake Park at dusk in the rain! Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter works tirelessly to conserve nature in Santa Clara, San Mateo and San Benito Counties!
Lisa Barboza: Here, you can find a community of people who are working to make our area a better place to live, with green spaces, hiking trails, and helping to keep our local flora and fauna abundant and vigorous. They also offer many different kinds of outdoor activities, including local day hikes, backpacking trips, mountaineering, ski touring, and kayaking. A bunch of great folks and all are welcome!
M Eldredge: Great resources and information from the website and from the dedicated volunteers.
Nabeel Al-Shamma: Great, like-minded folks here who enjoy the outdoors and work actively on environmental issues. I'm a long-time Sierra Club member who leads hikes and participates various local committees.
Gita Dev: Since I learned, some years ago, we had a LOCAL chapter, I have been surprised to learn how much great environmental work is "local".....I could not help but join in! I highly recommend this for everyone, as joining in, in our Loma Prieta Chapter, in many different ways, feels good!
Robert Weissburg: The Loma Prieta chapter and Sierra Club in general are doing much of the key work in organizing to protect our environment and educating the public on these issues. The people are wonderful to work and play with and the chapter organizes many opportunities to do so that are interesting and educational. The newsletter is easy to use and full of good info of news and events.
John Cordes: Everyone here cares and works diligently for our environment. Please join us.
Susan DesJardin: Check out this website for political endorsements on issues and candidates that are important to you and your community.
D Bob: I have been involved with the Loma Prieta Chapter of the Sierra Club since 2008. Volunteering with the organization has been a great pleasure and I have met a number of amazing community leaders. I enjoy their hikes and opportunities to get outside, but I really appreciate their political endorsements and advocacy for environmental justice here in the South Bay and Peninsula. Very welcoming to all seeking to just hike or become a leader.
Scott Broadbent: A very dedicated and professional organization. I attended a meeting here and was very impressed.
