Unitek College San Jose Campus: what do users think?

Alicia Garcia: I went to Unitek for MA program and I had the best experience ever especially having Mr. John as my instructor. He made class really fun and was always there 24/7. Also Mrs. Debbie was very helpful she made sure that she placed me in a good extern site where I was goin to get the right training and where I can show everything I learned from this program. Lastly Yeymi was great as well, she did an amazing job in updating my resume. She was really patient and gave me reassurance and answered all questions when it came to doin mock interviews and what and what not to wear for a real interview. Thank you all for the great experience and the help all you guys provided me during my Medical Assistant program.

Mr.A and Ms.J were great teachers making learning fun and interesting but yet professional at everything. I have learned lots of skills from them that I will be able to use in my dental assistant career. Career Services, Yeymi is great and really prepared us for going out to externships and helping us with our resume and interview. 10/10 recommend Unitek college dental program you will have a great time and meet life time friends 👍

Vy Nguyen: I had the pleasure of working with Yeymi, our career services advisor, and she truly stands out as the best. Yeymi's dedication to helping students navigate their career paths is remarkable. She goes above and beyond to provide personalized guidance and support, ensuring that each student feels confident and prepared for their professional journey in the medical field!

kayla gonzalez: Unitek college was such an amazing school and an amazing experience. I joined unitek for the medical assisting program and I was able to learn so much and i loved how everything was hands on. I had a great instructor and externship coordinator, Ms. Sarah and Ms. Yeymi. They both helped out so much and gave the best advice and performance. They were very supportive and helpful.

Kimberly Rodriguez: Unitek College has been such an amazing experience for me, I have learned so much through both online learning and hands-on experience in the Medical Assisting program. I met some wonderful people and became close friends. I would like to thank the Career Services team, especially Ms. Yeymi, for her great support in making sure to always be there for us and do their best for us!

Ness Lynnette: My experience with Unitek college was life changing… I enjoyed my full time here and wanna thank my instructor Mr jon. He was really patient and throughly explained everything he taught me. I also want to thank everyone who helped through out my experience at Unitek career services Ms Yeymi & Ms V. I appreciate you guys very much .. thank you.

Iris Rumbo: This was such a really great experience for me to enjoy here at Unitek. From learning online to actually being able to do hands-on activities for Medical Assisting, I will forever e grateful for tis opportunity that was given to me. There are people there that are such a huge help when you really need it. I made two great friends that are now everything to me. Most especially I thank Yeymi for helping me out and being there during my rough times! You're the best

Gabriela Garcia: I really enjoyed my time at Unitek as a medical assistant student. My instructor Ms. Sarah was very helpful and always made sure I understood the in class assignments, definitely one of the best instructors I have ever had. Ms. Yemi was also very helpful and gave great interview advice. I highly recommend going to Unitek for their Medical Assisting program.

Mariecris Riley: I would totally recommend Unitek College, for those who wanted to be in the medical field. The instructors are very helpful like Miss Sarah. And the careers services Miss Yeymi was really helpful and nice. They really make sure that students will be professional and ready to get a job after the program.

Emily Lopez: The school was able to provide a flexible schedule which was very helpful to me. My two instructors Ms. Wendi & Ms. Sarah were extremely helpful and contributed a positive and effective learning experience. Ms. Yeymi was also helpful into equipping us with practical skills, personal qualities needed for success in future careers. Definitely would recommend this school to others.

Nahaibi Pinto: My experience there was amazing. The lab instructors are great and take the time to teach you well. Especially Ms. Sarah. The career service people are great and show dedication to putting there students in good environments. I want to thank Ms. Yaymi for recommending Kaiser which was the greatest thing to happen for a person. Overall, great school.

Nadia Orosco: Great place to start your healthcare journey. I didn’t know where to start and didn’t want to be a CNA yet so I decided to do Medical Assisting. Mr.John who was my instructor was amazing, made class informative and yet we had fun at the same time. Super laid back and the students were so welcoming and helpful. Yeymi in career services helped me a lot even when I had trouble with Externship. The only reason I gave this place 4 starts is because the old Externship coordinator lacked communication with my extern sites and switched locations with me and my sister, so the place I was supposed to go got cancelled and my sister was put in there and I had to go somewhere else because of her mix up. Other than that and some other confusion with my temp extern coordinator I love this school and hope no other problems come up for future students.

Rigo Cardenas: It was well. I learned a lot and my instructors taught everything I needed to know about being a medical assistant. My experience at my externship taught me more about the office side of things and helped me understand that part of being a medical assistant.

Northeastern University in San Jose: what do users think?

Ajith Arch: I intentionally chose the SV campus over others. Because of the job opportunities, small class size, and the climate. I never regret about my decission.

Dhammike Fernando: Time for mingling 😊❤️the mini potluck with delicious multi cultural cuisine #food #friends #culturehttps://youtu.be/YN3uT99lHE4

Jeevan Reddy: Just one single building servings as northeastern university, building architecture is good, location is great

National University: what do users think?

Nathan Nguyen: I was a part of the EMT program at NU and it is excellent. I learned a ton and the instructors really care about your growth and improvement in skills. I highly recommend taking this course if you want to become a certified EMT. You'll learn a ton and will be well prepared for real work.

L N: With all this I ended up passing the NREMT my first try. However, just because you finished the course it does not mean the instructors are finished with you. I still reach out to them periodically and they are more then willing to help me out.If I had to I’d take the course here again.

Gabi Welch: I took the emt course and I couldn’t be happier. I feel extremely ready for the field and can’t wait to be out there. The instructors are all very knowledgeable and have been on the field if not still currently. 12/10 recommend!

Patrick Slama: Fantastic teaching and a wonderful environment to learn how to become and EMT. I highly recommend using National University for learning the EMT profession.

Leo Cazares: The EMT course was extremely helpful. The instructor Scott was very engaging and got the class involved which made it easy to learn. It makes it a lot easier to network and get to know EMTs and Paramedics that currently work the field. As a former student I highly recommend!!

Vy Vu: This EMT program has definitely been a great choice for me and has paved a great path for my future and career. It is super informative and very hands on and gave me the knowledge and skills to be able to perform as an adequate EMT. The instructor Scott Atkins couldn't have been a better teacher. He's very enthusiastic and makes learning fun! Definitely recommend taking this EMT program!

Ryan Augustine: The EMT class size was great. While the class work was intense, it allowed for a focused, complete EMT-B National Registry prep while also preparing us for real world use.

kayla billos: I highly recommend the EMT program at National University. The instructor, Scott, is very knowledgeable with the information and really reaches to every style of learning. The program does lots of hands-on learning to prepare you for the NREMT skills.

Irishx Revengex: Class was extremely informative and gave me the skills needed to perform necessary duties as an EMT in the field. The instructor Scott Atkins does everything to ensure that every student graduates from his class and is able to take care of his own family. This was the best choice i have made in my life and careers.

Jaden Aaliyah: This course was definitely the most enjoyable 3 months for me, and a great learning opportunity for me. My instructor was very animated, and had great teaching skills. I for sure recommend this class!

Christian Lavin: The EMT program here is awesome. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and are very hands on with teaching. They have a deep passion for this trade and show it every day when teaching. We were also able to see lungs and hearts in person. If you are having a hard time finding an EMT program like I was 3 months ago I HIGHLY recommend looking into this.

abvie17: The EMT program at National University with Scott Atkins provided me a formidable learning experience. The course content was delivered in a clear, interactive fashion that enabled me to absorb the material easily and enjoyably. Scott was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I was very fortunate to be in his class. He prepared me and my classmates very well for the NREMT exam and work out in the field. I highly recommend this program.

Michael G: Having recently completed the EMT class at NU San Jose, I recommend it. By any measurement, it’s difficult to read and memorize a 1,200 page text book in 12 weeks. Scott consistently related the concepts to real life situations. He regularly shared his personal in-field experiences, both the good and the bad, to help the class more deeply understand the concepts. The class is engaging and fun, and laid the foundation for me to pass the NREMT exam on the first attempt.

Carly Hwang: and thought it was very well done. I took it on a summer off of university and believe it to be a summer well spent. The instructor Scott was very professional and had a lot of real life experience from many years of teaching and as a career firefighter. The class had plenty of hands-on learning that kept everyone engaged and even the lectures were presented in a way that was not dull but still incredibly informative. Scott was able to impart on us lots of little tips and tricks to remember important small details. Our ENTIRE class passed the NREMT the FIRST time around which I believe is a testament to the program and Scott. The only thing I found to be difficult was the administration to be somewhat difficult to communicate with effectively. Overall I would recommend this program to anyone interested in pursuing a career in EMS or interested in furthering their studies and careers in medicine.

tineke den breejen: My name is Tineke den Breejen and I started the EMT course in January 2016 at the National University. During the enrollment, the communication with the University was awesome. They were very helpful and responded very quick on emails or questions. The EMT class was given by Scott Atkins. He is an amazing teacher. He is familiar with Fire department, CHP, EMS and the whole medical system. He has a lot of knowledge and helped us very much during the classes.During the course, everything was well organized and clear. There was enough time to study for all the Chapters and enough time to practice all the psychomotor examinations. Scott was there to answer questions or to help out. Ride alongs were well provided for BLS, but also for 911.I am so glad, I picked National University to become an EMT! I would definetly pick National University again for next courses. So if you are looking for a great University, do your courses at National University!

Maddyson Towne: , rather than simply reading from a powerpoint all day, and truly prepared me for the National Registry EMT exam. I particularly appreciate that we focused a lot of our time on practicing skills, and Scott helped me with any and all questions I had until I felt comfortable. Our class of 8 still keeps in touch to this day, and as far as I'm concerned, they would agree with me when I say that this program was the best class I've ever taken.

Anmol Singh: I took National's EMT course in San Jose and it was definitely one of the most fun experiences ive had. Scott Atkins is a great hands on teacher who is passionate about his work and working with you to get the information across. He made it very easy to ask questions, get the help you need, and offered different methods and tricks of learning. He was easily one of the best teachers I've ever had. The enthusiasm he brought each day of class made it a very friendly environment and made time fly by. On top of that the course is significantly cheaper than anything else around with the same quality of teaching. i HIGHLY encourage anyone looking to get into EMS to take this course with Scott. You will not be disappointed!

Rachel Alfaro: are also great resources. All of them are incredibly helpful when scheduling ambulance ride alongs and will point you in the right direction as to where you may want to apply for a job after getting certified. As a girl heading into a very male-dominated field, it was so great to know that the instructors had my back. One student in my cohort was problematic, to put it nicely. After talking to Scott about it, the issue was addressed in class and the student wasn't harassing anyone anymore. This is a class where nonsense isn't put up with and everyone is expected to act appropriately with each other. This course goes by fast. We cover 1-2 chapters every class period

luis velazquez: Scott was a very knowledgeable, caring and funny instructor, the work load was very straight forward and I never felt like I was under prepared, I am glad to say that as of now I am currently seeking employment as an emt because I have passed my nremt
