Werner Schwock: is a gem in the heart of San Jose and the curators, Cherri and Bryan are corner stones of the local art movement. The gallery regularly showcases local and international artists and steps up the quality of art offered to the public. This is a must see if you love art and are looking for a friendly, inclusive atmosphere.

Robin Magovern: Creative work, nicely displayed; art by Haley Goodlet
Sheryl Varien: I love this place. Very hip crowd.
Mark Ellak: Awesome
Bleep Bloop: Lots of individual artist studios and a gallery/museum in one building. I went for SVOS, and found most of the artists friendly and willing to talk. A few were more bristley, but I suppose there will be some less pleasant people in any group. Definitely worth a visit if you get a chance.
Melissa Dutra: Awsome art community
ZCTRL: A decent space to work but keeping your car un-broken-into proves challenging.
Charlotta Knudsengallo: Brought my daughter to a workshop taught by an artist at the Citadel. What a wonderfully creative space for artists to create their life's work. Safe, secure and clean.

Jocelyn Chin: I saw a painting by Lisa at my Kimmys bliss hair salon and I loved her style. We ended up purchasing one of her sunflower paintings- it’s even more beautiful in person than on the website. It’s got so much texture and it’s so unique and special and we got many compliments on it. I love the California meets Van Gogh style!!!
Mark J: Incredible pieces of art - I am now the proud owner of one of Lisa's artworks, which lights up my kitchen! Very impressive and talented artist.
Frost Hunceker: Found this artist by referral from my girlfriend as she has requested that I purchase a few for our home. I was skeptical but after reviewing some of the art, I can definitely agree with my girlfriend. Beautiful art. We are definitely going to make an appointment for the studio.
Jemma Nguyen: Stopped by my local salon & noticed this new painting on the salon wall. The painting captured so much beauty and serenity of nature. Found out the artist is Liz Ellen.I will definitely have to set an appointment to review Lisa’s studio and art pieces available to purchase! Especially now that I have scrolled through the photos here on google. I definitely have to have one! I one of the van gough flower pieces!
Leslie Vo: When I recently visited Kimmy’s Bliss Salon, I couldn’t help but to stare at the beautiful artwork that was displayed. To my surprise, she said the artist is local. The owner also told me the artist is not only very talented, but is also a very kind and warm person. I can’t wait own my very own artwork and stare at it all day.
Anthony Tavan: I love Lisa’s work, and her studio is gorgeous.
Anya Perry: I absolutely LOVE Lisa's art!! Amazing quality of work, such bright and colorful impressions that bring up my California memories back vividly!! The texture of impasto work is incredible - makes a perfect gift!
Andrew Cain (Andrew C): Hired Lisa to do a commission piece of my families cabin in the Eastern Sierras as a gift and it came out even better than expected!

Maarten Hofman: The exhibit was small but fun. It was good to see a photograph of the artist at work with actual pieces that were exhibited as well. The interactive room that allowed you to make a painting in the same style was fun too, although the results were rather low retaliation. The other exhibit was fun too. It is strange that they don't charge money.

Melissa Dutra: The art here is awesome totally homegrown the place originated from nothing and the curator / advocate / artist / art administrators /community / representative / owner fought tooth and nail and has came a long way to have an art establishment in this neighborhood at one point they even shut him down and now look what a beautiful result for a long road of hard work thank you so much sir for your hard work and dedication to your community and the arts I I salute you so much talent Grace is these walls very much a must-see anytime you're on the north side of San Jose I had the luxury of meeting the artist who is the creator of idolls. A very unique artistic ideogram that is the central focus of his practice he has I was impressed with this simplistic representative of such a complex concept . Reminding me of the energy that is blown out of proportion by social norms , eyedoll keeps focus to the true nature of what defines the energy of the "all".So next time you're in the area of 67th and empire. Slow down and check out the empire studios and gifts. It's well worth the time
karina picazo: I took my kids and nephews to the Empire Seven Studio: Intro to Spray Can Art event with Talking Walls and it was amazing! The kiddos had so much fun and learned so much! They were well prepared for the on and off drizzles of rain with tents and had gloves and N95 masks for the kids. Great event for the community! Looking forward to the next one.
Paula Schnur: Juan Carlos and Empire 7 were the reason we were able to turn a blank 10,000 ft wall into a beautiful canvas that can be seen while landing at San Jose airport. He was instrumental in finding the artist, helping us figure out the funding, obtaining all the materials and equipment, and overseeing the artists.I highly recommend Empire 7 for any project - big or small. They deliver the highest quality!
Kathryn Hedges: Great little gallery in a posh apartment building. Glad they could accommodate art studio and gallery space in this collaboration, along with lots of gorgeous murals and art on display.
Antonina Ettare: A surprising art gallery space - Top floor of an apartment building. Great curated pieces.
Omar Gutierrez: I'm workingthere as an electrician
stephanie kenyon: Always a great time. New things to see and top notch artists. The street art is amazing 🦍
Fredrick Lee: Great art work on the exterior of the lot. Most of it is blocked by fencing. But the fencing does not obstruct the great view. Unfortunately, the lot looks like it is slated for another redevelopment.
Stephen Taylor: Great place. So much to do
Mighty Mike McGee: A legendary home and headquarters for local and national artists to display their works.

Madhur Agarwal: My mom and I took a spin class in April on a lovely Saturday afternoon. The Studio is located at the heart of downtown San Jose. This is a 2-hour class and seems reasonably priced at $99 including all supplies and final glazing costs. This format is truly a great way to introduce beginners to using pottery wheel. We made 2 items using wheel each - a cup and a bowl. I am hoping to be back for other classes and learn something new such as clay building. Overall, I enjoyed my experience with Higher Fire Studio.Edit 06/02:The cup and bowl are glazed and were ready to pick up 4 weeks after the workshop. The final glazed items look incredible and professional. 5-star again to the entire process.
Theresa Halstead: Instructors were great! The main instructor taught well and was very patient and deliberate with her techniques. The assistant instructor was great at answering questions and helping with next steps. Everyone in the class made two pieces and it was just really cool and fun. I highly recommend checking out a class!
Maria Cumbe: Truly the loveliest pottery studio in the area.
Sally Breann: . Highly recommend. Many of the students were repeating the course because they were hooked and wanted to keep learning and making more pieces! It’s a fun community to experience/be a part of.
Shilpa Patil: Took two, 6 weeks class. The Studio is amazing. Teachers are great, staff is kind & helpful. I think I finally found a hobby that gives me lot of joy.
Steve Higgins: Best clay studio ever !
Naman Gupta: I recently attended a wheel pottery class at Higher Fire, and it was simply amazing! The instructor was fantastic, answering all our questions with patience and expertise. It turned out to be a wonderful stress-reliever.The instructor's guidance was top-notch. They demonstrated each step clearly and helped us individually. They made sure we understood the techniques and concepts, making the learning process enjoyable and accessible. The class was well-organized, and the instructor provided helpful tips to improve our skills. The pottery wheel provided a therapeutic experience, allowing us to unwind and focus on creating beautiful pottery. It was incredibly calming and rejuvenating.
Lisa Incatasciato: Super fun time - helpful and kind instructors. Highly recommend
Stanislav Kirdey: Love this place.
Julia Morcos: Everyone who works here is super nice, and all the members are too. People really go out of their way to help you.I was a member for about a year before I got too busy and had to cancel my membership. During that time, I took several of the project classes, and I loved every one. They all showed me cool new techniques that I didn't know before, so now I have all kinds of pottery items in my house.Glazing and firing is included in the cost of the membership and the clay, and they have an impressive number of glazes. You'll never run out of color combos! From top to bottom, this studio is a special place.
Chris Ostrom: A better potter's actual community you could not find. Wonderful space, facility, and owner.
