Stephanie Pratt: we turned back around and decided to see what was on offer and Ebb & Flow. What a lovely, friendly wine bar. We ordered wines based on their staff picks

Shaili Jain: This is a cute wine bar, with a happy hour from 4:30 to 6 offering $10 pours of the house wine. Really enjoyed my first visit and I will be returning!Recommended dishes Cheese Plate …

Josh Rix: Cracking little by the glass wine list with plenty of funky little natural numbers. Enjoyed it very much

Knych Family: I'm almost afraid to post this in case everyone starts going there, but Ebb and Flow is a fabulous little wine bar. My friend and I always pop over after an event at Davies Symphony hall. Great vibe, great wine. The cheese plates are totally fun with the frilly cheese.

Ashley Daigneault: Stopped by last night after dinner nearby for a night cap. The owner hyes was so kind and knowledgeable! Can’t wait to come back!

Jeremy Cole:

Vera Chen:

Kathryn Mullins:

Johannes Tiemeyer:

Boris Xfour: Fun wines with great conversation. Try the 10 year Tawny port

Greg Seguin: Cozy, low-key wine bar tucked away on Hyde Street

Christopher Chung: . Quaint backyard oasis patio — perfect for catching up with friends or a first date.Highly recommended for those seeking a low-key and unique side to San Francisco.

eva welles: . The sparkling wine from Jura was so good, and our server suggested some sherry to eat with our cheese plate that was such a good combo. I just love it here!

Nahiel Nazzal: Such a cozy sweet tucked away spot in Hayes Valley. Casual setting but the servers were knowledgeable on their wines, the snacks on the menu are yummy, and a perfect central location in the city to continue your day/night anywhere from.

Jonathon J: Nice patio in the back, excellent selection and a relaxed intimate vibe. They close at 9pm sadly!

Michael McGinley: Best wine shop in SF. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, amazing patio out back, and great selection of wine.

Guilherme Norci: Great wine selection. Staff is friendly and attentive. They have a nice backyard to enjoy the wine.

Sergei Sorokin: Great back patio.

Michael Wu PhD: We ate at Arbor next door, but it looks like the back garden is sure between Arbor and Arlequin. This looks like a nice wine merchant with a big selection of wine. We will find opportunity to check it out.

Iman Rasheed: Great affordable prices for a street with kinda more expensive food. Ive gotten their Mac and cheese and the chicken sando, and they're both amazing. My fave thing though has got to be their soft-serve!

Nora Morinda: My chicken sandwich was delicious. Fast Service and friendly. Thank you.

Lynne Rolland-Newburne: Just went in to browse, nice selection and reasonable prices

Jeremy Cole: It's a good place to buy wine and their wine club is a good value

Cory Anderson: Soy rizo breakfast burrito is so good! Their eggs are noticeably better than most places! Definitely made to order.Vegetarian options: Soy rizo burritoDietary restrictions: Great for vegetarians

Jeffrey Fiorino: Small cool little spot. The sweet potatoes tacos are the reason I come here! They are legit ! Def the crowd you’d expect, but the tacos are legit, and the burrata are me two favs, but mainly those sweet potato tacos !Vegetarian options: Plenty of choices and gluten freeDietary restrictions: Vegan gluten free choices worth checking outParking: Good luck

Ali Souch:

Gareth McGaw:

Arthur Book:

Jackie Morrish: The FRESHEST French bread. Delicious sardines. Good pours. Great staff. We spent about $100 for two people. The music is loud, but not too loud, really the perfect ambiance for a fun night out.Beware sitting outside after 4pm; it’s gets windy/cold.We have lovely time every time. Highly recommended this wine bar.

Jen Garone: We were here for 35 minutes while waiting for our reservation at Sorella. Spent $75 + tip in that short time. Small discount for cash.Wine was excellent. Charcuterie was amazing. Love that they bring the check in a book. Bread was so delicious.Bartolomeo provides excellent, friendly service.

Rishi: The outdoor area here is fantastic, especially for a sunny day. I love their flights, it's nice to try a bunch of different wines. Good selection too.The inside is a little too clubby for me.

Dorothy Phillips: I was here for a retirement and had an excellent time! I wish I knew this neighborhood gem existed sooner. The outdoor atmosphere is perfectly tucked away from the hustle and bustle, and added bonus is the easy street parking. The pizzas and fries were delicious and Indie offers a large wine selection at fair prices. I enjoyed the space so much I tried returning on Sunday before realizing they are closed on Sundays. Must try!

Existentialist Television: Excellent customer service - served by MarinaThe 3 wines I had were fantastic. The charcuterie board was delicious and had a great variety.Lots of seating and a cozy atmosphere, quiet enough to have a conversation and work.Definitely will return.

Jason D: Excellent light dishes, great value. Extensive list of wines by the glass. Ceviche a standout.Vegetarian options: PlentifulParking: Easy!

SunshiineMoonRise: Found this hidden gym and am I excited ! Large clean space with an open kitchen. The back area is adorned by jazz greats, large tables with comfy seats. What’s unique about this place is the owner, Brian. He’s very knowledgeable about wine. Give him a varietal or name of a brand and he can provide exceptional recommendations. The wine list here is global- unlike nearby wine bars. Another bonus is the full kitchen! No more boring cheese and crackers. The experience here is all about elevating your knowledge and palate, if you choose. Super friendly staff and delicious food. Great spot for date night, work meetings or hosting a gathering of friends. Will be back to try something new. Been here a few times and service is always on point. East parking, outside patio has heated lamps but I like inside vibe. Will be back ! Thanks !!

Cristian M. G.: We found this place by chance.Very charming terrace. Great wine list, from different parts of the world and at different prices. The waiter's recommendation was very accurate. We accompanied the bottle of wine with a cheese board that was very good.

Tiffany Ly: Great spot to grab some drinks or for larger groups. I planned two birthday events here since they have a large outdoor patio space with heat lamps, and view of the bay bridge! The wine and food options are great, and cannot beat the great service. It is in a quieter area of Telegraph Hill / North Beach but makes it easy to find parking. They are dog-friendly and kid-friendly, which were great for the parents who came to hangout. Highly recommend!

David Shreni: Such an amazing venue. Great for after work crowd. When not crowded, it’s perfect for having an after work convo. Love love loveAnd you can tell they pay attention to detail because the bathrooms are the best in the city.

Cori Williams: are knowledgeable and willing to help.you find a wine you like. Cozy environment and would be an amazing date spot!

Forrest Spellman: Been here a few times for drinks or a happy hour and SF Wine Society is a gem. It has a fun bocce court, is well decorated with a sense of atmosphere, and the folks here really know a lot about wine. And as random a compliment as this is to give, the bathroom here is seriously decadent, beautifully designed and fancy??? I think that alone is a testament to the care put into this place. All the food is really delicious so I recommend getting something to go along with your drinks!

SJ: Glass of wine--an amazing find in SF Financial District. San Francisco Wine Society is a hidden gem on Merchant Street [alley] off Battery street. The beautifully decorated sitting area of padded leather chairs and tables and comfortably dark and subdued decorating are the perfect backdrop to enjoy a great glass of wine and light bites. Sat at the bar and chatted up Chris and Erik, the sommelier, who told me that there are over 50 wines by the glass on the menu. Rare to find wine bars that serve so many choices from other countries. Debated between having a glass of French, Italian, Greek, Croatian, and Spanish wine. Erik was able to speak expertly about each choice and guide me to something I really enjoyed. They have an interesting and tasty light bites menu if you'd like to nibble while enjoying your glass. Worth a stop just for the experience.

Steven Buss Bacio: Beautiful space with a great wine selection

Cristina Noujaim: Recommended dishes

Deanna Shaw: Great wine selection and Bocci ball. Very comfortable vibe, places to sit and have a good conversation. Food was great, compliments the wine.

Shayne Mathews: Nice wine flight options, good food and prompt service. The place has a nice laid back ambience.

Alex Campbell: Such a delightful place to spend a Saturday afternoon. Just don’t make any plans afterwards!

Michael Beaty: . They have a wide selection of wines by the glass and also sell bottles. If you're into wine at all, you'll probably find something you like. The selection shifts over time, but there's always a wide variety. The service is great and the space is warm and inviting. It's definitely more "wine bar that also serves snacks and light bites" than a restaurant. The food from the small menu they do have is fresh and delicious, but you may still want a full meal afterwards. Blush! would be a great spot for a date if your prospect is into wine

Amirah Syrah: Great wine bar in the Castro District. Popped in for a pre-dinner drink and was so impressed by the Red Sangria. One of the best Sangrias I’ve ever tasted. The aura and vibe of the wine bar was perfect for a Thursday evening. They also live music some nights which we missed due to a dinner reservation.I’d definitely return for a glass of wine, music and small bites.

Earnest Ly: Great vibes and very cool wine list with a lot of smaller known regions & appellations.

Catamount Telepsychiatry: Excellent service and selection. Nice ambience. Cheese plate was delicious.

Angee Bee: Great staff, environment and wine!

Brandon Ynayan: Such a great experience! Bar Crenn feels like a speakeasy when you walk in - the decor, bar setup and retro record player make it seem like an oasis. Onto the food: my favorite dish was their Bafun Uni dish which is a congee topped with Hokkaido uni. It's not often that Uni is served on a hot dish and the blend of flavors/cuisines Chef Crenn executes in this dish are super intriguing. I also got their oysters served 3 ways and the XO Scallops. The staff here is excellent. Carlos and Chris were really welcoming. Chris even showed me around Atelier Crenn next door. I'll definitely have to come back for their tasting. Thank again!

Shlo Mo: Bar Crenn was a great experience and great drinks.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available upon request.Dietary restrictions: The bartender can adjust drinks or create a new one based on dietary and allergy restrictions.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s located on the first floor and can be accessed by a wheelchair.

Yi Lan Chan: One of the best dining experiences I've had! We did the tasting menu and opted for non alcoholic pairings, though I did order a cocktail separately. You could really tell a lot of thought, care, and extensive testing went into every course or drink to give the perfect experience. The service was impeccable, while also being friendly and sociable. They were happy to discuss and answer any questions any participant had. I've had similar social dining experiences before, and this is definitely one of my favorites. I strongly recommend trying it at least once and will gladly come again myself.

Kim Davies: DecantSF transcends the typical wine shop experience, —it's a vibrant hub of inclusivity, education, and community right in San Francisco's core. As a woman-owned business, it exudes a refreshing sense of empowerment and inclusivity that sets it apart from the rest. Co-owners and Sommeliers Cara and Simi enrich every visit with their expertise, offering an accessible range of delightful wines and snacks tailored to any budget or palate. Moreover, their dedication to supporting fellow small businesses shines through, reflected in their vibrant lineup of engaging events hosted at the bar.

Aubany Gonzales: What an incredible wine shop/bar!Simi and Cara are both elites in the somm world and are so helpful and knowledgeable choosing exactly what you might be looking for in terms of wine but also cheeses, tinned fish and anything you might need to put together a great charcuterie board at home.I've sent my partner there many a times and he simply just asks them and it's always perfect.I was most recently there for a wreath making class. Wine and wreath making: YES PLEASE! The class was great with Kim from Wyldflower Workshop who focuses her business on being sustainable and socially responsible! I love that.I also really love supporting women owned and progressive businesses. If you're looking for a great bottle or a glass to enjoy in shop, even charcuterie goods this will always be where you should come first! They offer regular classes, events, and even a club subscription with various benefits depending on the level you choose.

Shelby Perkins: my favorite spot for wine in the cityDietary restrictions: always has gluten free crackers and very accommodating of me not being able to eat garlic or onionRecommended dishes Wine Flight, Smoked Trout Caviar Triple Cream Cheese & Duck Rillet …

Anthony Bufort: Friendly owners, inviting atmosphere, and an array of reasonably-priced tapas-bar goodies make this a definite candidate for favorite regular local haunt. Nice wine and cheese selection, and an even nicer and wider array of seafood and other treats from Spain, Canada, and other places around the world. Try it!Wheelchair accessibility: There are stairs going down into the place. Didn't see any alternatives.

Hannah E: CWM is a GREAT local spot, a treasure. The owner is friendly, knowledgeable, remembers those who come frequently, and enjoys connecting people with wine and each other. The other team members are also wonderful. I was a member of the CWM wine club for about 2 years and highly recommend joining as you will taste many wineries that you may otherwise never come across, meet new people, have a great reason to head to Chestnut St for a educational drink, & meet wine owners, vintners, and employees of the wineries.

Wyndham Hudson: The one wine club that has kept me for years. They offer a great variety that we always look forward to.The venue itself is great too. That’s how they got me hooked in the first place. Always friendly and very knowledgeable.

Michael M. Mizono: A great wine buying experience with kindness, knowledge plus some personal touches. Will be back!

Janet Kar: .For those who can't drink alcohol, they do have a Riesling non-alcoholic wine, aka juice, which was also served in a wine glass - making me feel included in this get together. The atmosphere outside is chill with metal red painted chairs, and inside feel a little divvy. Depending what time you go, there might be live music.

Faten Snoussi: is a truly magical place that captivates the senses from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and filled with character, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a glass of wine. What sets Etcetera apart is its attention to detail. From the cozy seating arrangements to the soft lighting and eclectic decor, every aspect of the bar has been carefully curated to create a truly unique and enchanting experience. The wine selection at Etcetera is equally impressive, with a wide variety of wines to choose from. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or just looking to try something new, the knowledgeable staff is always on hand to help you find the perfect glass.Overall, Etcetera Wine Bar is a hidden gem in San Francisco that offers a magical and atmospheric experience unlike any other.
