rubi nicholas: Moved to SF a little over a year ago with my 2 chihuahua teacup mixes - by that description you already know I’m fussy and weird and love my babies - I’m SO GLAD I found Jyoti and Amy at BWMSF!!The most helpful staff, chill store PACKED with everything ANNND drop in nail trim service - I’ve NEVER had to wait!!!I even ran in to the store 12 minutes before closing and didn’t even beg! They were amazingly kind and unfussed at my nonsense.I’ve recommended BWMSF to two other dog moms that moved here from back East also and they were both so thankful!Love love love - thank you!!!

Cedrick Becerra: Staff is friendly and helpful. Even when assisting other customers they greet you as you walk in the door. Staff is knowledgeable about not only their products, but also about local animal services. The kind of staff where if they don’t have an answer they’ll work together to find one. Always a cheerful experience. If you need pet food or information they’re the store.

Bryce Hodge: I cannot speak to all of their products and services. I know Mike’s has one shop for household pets and another shop for small livestock like rabbits, ducks, and chickens. Mike’s is my go-to shop for chicken feed, bedding, and anything else I may need for my hens. It is always quick and convenient. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help carry items to my car.

Becky Dukes: Best place to go for good prices for pet supplies. Lower your expectations on cleanliness. They aren't paid enough to care. The manager there is going through a divorce why I know this is strange. I don't have a personal relationship with this person . However, he overshares .
Cynthia E: Great source for all things pets - and at really excellent prices. Big selection of items for cats, dogs, small mammals, birds, fish - food, fun, beds, meds, etc. It's a really big store with a huge selection of products.Parking is easy - it's in the same small shopping center as Smart and Final.Staff are friendly.Spots to donate for local pets in need on your way out.Adoptions and shot clinics - check schedule.

Barry Heisler: A great place to get all of your pet supplies. Prices are normally much better than anywhere else. Highly recommend.

Brianna Osborne: Not your typical pet store. Definitely with more local roots, they have a good selection for a lot of different animals, but I feel like they understand the pet customers here in San Mateo - which I can't say is true for the big-box stores. This is where I go to get all my dog food, and have a selection for my dog's other needs as well!
