Krishin Asnani: The entrance delights : the photos on the right wall catch you attention with their playful imagery; the furniture gave me ideas but their prices wouldn’t allow me to convert ideas to actually buying ; I will revisit the store - its bookshelves that are mounted on the wall need my attention ! And so do their benches.

Gene X Hwang (@genex): STUFF is closing but drop by there soon and take advantage of the sales! I have shopped at STUFF since they first opened up since I moved to the neighborhood in 2009 and needed to furnish my new place. Lots of different vendors in there with a variety of vintage items. Don't forget to go upstairs and check out all the great options up there too. Right now it seems like everything is at least 20% off and there's still lots of great stuff and the people watching isn't bad either!

Lee Luna: Interesting place

A Cope: Really cool vintage store

Alex S: Really enjoyed this store! Huge variety of items and at a decent price. Really loved the clothes, art, and magazine selection

Joe Dimont: Great selection but the prices are phenomenally expensive

Sean Solarte: Cool shop to browse, lots of neat things including vintage furniture pieces, too bad we couldn't buy anything since we would have had to fly it back home.

Yulia Gulay: Was excited to visit this place. I adore all kinds of Asian jars and vases. Found one I really like. Got this treasure for only $25. Will definitely return. Just one thing: call before visiting. Because there was a notice on the front door about appointments required.

Katherine Sorenson: Howard is an extremely knowledgeable and helpful owner. I wouldn’t dream of buying antiques from any other store in SF.

michael perry: Great!

Miles Bradley: I met with Howard. He’s very knowledgeable and was generous with his time in assisting me.Their selection of antiques and art is amazing! I recommend adding their gallery to your must-see list!

pascal fuchshuber: Outstanding eclectic place to find great art objects knowledgeable and friendly owners Best place in San Francisco for beautiful art and objects

Leef: This is the most amazing antique shop in SF. You can find anything from 17th Century mirrors to silver to rare books. I recently went in to browse, one of my favorite past times here, and found an 18th century Thai wooden carving. Not only was it an unusual piece but the owners, Keith and Howard, were able to find me the correct stand for it. It looks beautiful in my home next to many other pieces I have purchased from them. They love what they sell and are always willing to spend time with you and give you an “education” about what you are looking at or buying. Recommend you stop in to see them, whether it is your first time there or whether you have been before, their inventory is constantly changing.

Marta N: they will research and find it for you. Highly recommend you visit them.

Aimee Ellis: The most fabulous shop, owner is a true gem!

Marcela Garcia: We found really good pieces, reasonable prices, and a very friendly staff!

COCO Pante: This is my Go To place for art and antiques. It is my favorite source to spice up my table settings and my clients. I often buy different salad plates to create different looks while using the same dinner plates. It is like being in a magical room full of treasure.I find very unique and interesting pieces of art and antiques to bring life into a room. even if you think you do not like antiques, they are a source for finding beautifully made pieces and at prices cheaper than mass produced furniture. If you care about the planet, buy furniture already made. You will find woods that are not available anymore and with the patina in,y age can bring. If they do not have a piece if furniture you are looking for in the store, they have great sources.I made a mistake buying an antique linen press from E bay, linen presses are great for storage of shoes, sweaters, handbags and hats. The big shelves pull out so your items can lie flat and are easily seen. The piece arrived with shelves and drawers that did not work, and it ended up costing much more than I paid.Antique & Art Exchange is a wonderful source and you be able to see the desired pieces plus the owners are a great source of knowledge and great fun.

Sayesha Allen: Howard was an amazing help! Extremely knowledgeable and very kind.

Hector Deleon: Good place for Christmas shopping

Phillip Sloan: Howard and Keith are extremely knowledgeable and always have top notch recommendations. Customer service at its finest!

marcia mills: and ultimately on the day of my purchase

stewart macciolli: Keith, The statue arrived today and it is a magnificent piece. Photos did not do it justice. Thanks so much for the piece and the expert packing and shipment to Australia. Absolute pleasure dealing with you from afar. Cheers Stewart

Jose Medio: What an exceptional and eclectic collection of beautiful objects. This place is inspirational for a professional, an amateur or anybody interested in creating a unique and gorgeous interior.Their professionalism and deep knowledge of their wares is matched only by their extensive inventory.

Richard Hill: A sophisticated, varied and definitely eclectic collection of beautiful antiques. A knowledgeable and friendly staff help you sort through two floors of constantly changing inventory. Antique and Art Exchange is a San Francisco classic.

Zeshan Baig: What are the timings ?

Chris Nilsen: S16 is my go-to store and experience for home decor. The selection is impeccably curated. And the service is exquisite. There's no place quite like it in the country. I used to live a block away, and my SF apartment was built around S16. I now live in NYC, and still look to S16 to build my aesthetic. Shipping is easy, and the remote service is just as personal as the in-store experience. I'll be working with Brian and S16 for years to come.Pictured are two prints and a mirror I've purchased recently.

ryland cooder: “S” stands for “strictly personal”, which is the MO at S16. I always talk to Brian, so I know everything will be A-Ok. I love the things I bought and I’m going to keep spending!

Danielle Federmann: ! Brian was wonderful to work with as well!

Christopher Zenger: S16 was spot on with what we needed in the time that we needed it. Will hopefully be working with them in the future regularly.

CEA: Wonderful to work with--beautiful products, amazing attention to detail, conscientious customer service.

Baky: Purchased two chairs online from S16 Home. They were so easy to work with and the “used” chairs were immaculate. Such a great find at a wonderful place!

lucas f.: Owners are super cool, great stuff! Eye candy! Great for decorators looking for a certain look, lots of unique items

Clement Mok: A beautiful currated store of wonderful one-of-a-kind type decor items. Always a nice place to check-out for gifts or additions for the home. The owners are a joy to work with and very knowledgeable.

Peter Schweikhardt: We have been consigning with S16 Home for the past 6 years. Aside from being a pleasure to deal with, Brian makes certain that he has all items appraised by an auction house to make sure that the price assigned to the item is accurate. He asks for and posts meticulous descriptions of each piece, so the buyer knows exactly what is being purchased. In addition, he is quite selective about the pieces he is willing to consign. He only takes those items that he feels he can sell and that work well within the context of his own pieces. The store itself is a delight. Brian has immaculate taste and the arrangement of his own items with those consigned mix seamlessly. A visit to the store, which is constantly evolving, is always a treat!

E Vander Lugt: I've been consigning with Brian and Luke since they opened several years back, and they're incredibly awesome to work with! They're experts in so many areas, have great contacts in the design and film industry, and make my life so much easier than it would be if I had to photograph and then market my own products. The work they perform on my behalf is worth every penny of the commissions they earn from my sales. Not only do I make much more money than I could on my own, but it's fun to have an excuse to stop in regularly and see the other amazing finds in their shop. A true destination shopping experience!

Kevin Cooper: Quite small. Hipster old stuff like 1700s book presses. Friendly owner.

Magdalene Phillips: Fantastic artistic industrial antiques and some modern designer items.

Marilyn Berlin Snell: This is a hidden gem; a great shop with owners who have a quirky, unique design sense. Also, Brian was incredibly helpful regarding a design issue. Friendly place with great one-of-a-kind merchandise.

Jenny Cole: Liked the outside but they were closed despite the sign saying they were open..?

gilberto venancio: Good products
