Wy Joon Leong: . The small talk initiated by the lady concerning my early return and how it affected my other plans was also a nice touch. Again in and out in 10 minutes.For the duration of my rental the car drove like it was very well maintained.Returning was just as easy. Drive and park in the return bay and leave the keys in the car and walked 10 metres to the waiting shuttle bus and was in the terminal in 15 minutes. An hour later, got email on final cost and as agreed was only the pro-rated amount.What was initially my biggest fear for this trip turned out to be the most positive experience of the entire trip. Due to my overall experience with Hertz, if I ever return to the US and need to rent a car, I will only rent from Hertz regardless the price.
Roel C: Was a really quick check in with friendly staff. Booked car type was not available, but got set up with a different one real quick. Not a bad experience at all as some reviews might make you expect.
Vincent de Boer: Can't confirm the bad posts. The appointment was on Tuesday at 10 a.m. We were there in a show. We were served immediately and the vehicle was there as ordered. Vehicle was in immaculate condition. On-site advice was very friendly and competent.
Bee Xuto: Just had a great experience at this rental, in contrast to many of the reviews here. Took us less than 20mins to get a car even though there were so many customers. In particular, the gentleman who helped us - Herbert - was very polite, efficient, and friendly. He kindly flagged to us that we had booked an electric and helped us get it changed to a gas car very quickly.We had gone to a competitor rental nearby right before and the experience was worlds apart. Many thanks to Herbert and the Hertz team!

Ollie Robertson: We visited San Francisco in March for a few days with a plan to hire a car on our last day and commence our West Coast road trip. The service and welcome we received at Hertz Mason St couldnt be faulted. Herbert our clerk went what seemed above and beyond to sort our hire, or maybe he was just doing a great job. The car we desired was available with on day's notice and we excitedly collected our jet black convertible Mustang the following morning. Herbert made the transaction super easy and was a genuine joy to deal with. Our drop off in LA was seemless amd the car itself was so cool. We drive over 800 miles up and down the coast and will cherish the memories forever. Nice one Herbert and Hertz. We hope to return to SF and do it all again!

Ohad Salmon: impeccable service In and Out in less than five minutes both don’t pick up and return. The staff was friendly and efficient highly recommend especially compared to the other rentals around the corner that just don’t really have cars.

Jonathan F. Chang: I was impressed with all the team members I met during my rental experience with Hertz rental on Elllis. Everyone that works at the Hertz on Ellis was very pleasant and easy to work with.What was great is that each time I needed to speak with a local team member, they always answered the phone right away and was able to resolve my questions right away. They also offered to pick me up and drop me off at the repair shop which was a very nice gesture!
San Francisco: Honestly I’ve received the best rental service in a while, probably the best in San Francisco! I had to go around town to find the rental company that offered the car I wanted. Hertz were the only place that had it. Unlimited miles too. They picked me up from the body shop and drove me back after.

Nicholas Majidy: Hertz San Francisco conveniently located on Ellis St near Van Ness has a good team of employees Jessie and Ajay who are very quick at getting you your car. I was very happy with their team work. I was also very happy that I was able to make a reservation half hour before picking up.
Flynn D.: A diamond in the rough! I recently rented EV cars from this smaller Hertz location, and I was impressed vs. my usual experiences at airport locations. Unlike the latter, vehicle photos are taken at time of pick up and emailed, customer service is friendly, efficient, and accommodating at time of pickup and drop off. I hold Presidents Circle status and got upgraded a class once out of two rentals. Just wish they were open on weekends and more public EV chargers were easily accesible nearby to top off before return. Overall, great Hertz team at this location-keep it up!
Noura: A bit of a wait sometimes but good service
Adam Webb: Can’t really complain about the Hertz store, however, I didn’t realise it was was so close to Tenderloin.We had a little bit of a nuisance from people outside on the street, no fault of the shop, service was a little slow, but once served the process was fine for us and we got a Tesla, which we dropped off at Las Vegas.

The positive point is that the employee did not try to push extra insurance, and they released a car from the year, of a higher category, and which was in perfect condition.

Although there is a $20 fee for valet service, the convenience of picking up and dropping off is beneficial especially if you're staying nearby or wishes to drop off outside office hours. No unexpected charges in my final bill, so all is good!

The last four or five times I read the Chevy bolt that was the first time driving an electric car and I enjoyed it. This last time I upgraded my rental KIAa V6 that car was very sporty. THANKS TO DANNY GOMEZ CARRETO he recommended it and it was worth the wait they got it there on time but I got there early. Him and the other lady at the counter are always got a smile on their face and greet you with hello.I'll going to keep coming here I'm very pleased with Hertz. Sebastian Kosz: Wow, what an experience! I can not reproduce the bad comments here.As soon as our rent time started, we had been able to do a contactless self online check-in through our phone. The car waited for us afterwards with the keys in the parking lot.We had a nearly factory new model and it was very clean.We returned the car on the 4th of June and the nice employee put a smile on our face.The costs are cheaper than other rental companies at the airport as well.Five stars from us! We will come back to you if we should need a car at the SFO airport agajn.

We took the bus 292 from the airport to this place which takes a few minutes. When we arrived, we were immediately served. The staff is very friendly and helped us with information and putting the luggage into the car. Returning was just as easy. The checked the fuel and straight away refunded my deposit.Can absolutely recommend renting here!
