Boards, Bikes & Barbells: These folks are the absolute best. Fixed up my Brutale, no prob. Grateful for the knowledge, smiles, and help!
Shane Wesbrock: This is by far my favourite motorcycle shop in Bay Area . They’ve worked on my modern triumph, my vintage triumph, and the bikes of many close friends and family. I’ve been bringing bike a to them for more than two decades. They’re thorough, helpful, and as knowledgeable as it gets. We are lucky to have a shop this good in San Francisco.
Eric Nyeste: Best shop in the City. They work on vintage classics and carbureted bikes, high end race bikes, and seemingly everything in between. Fully trust Scott to tell it like it is. Excellent experience.
Dan Ginquinni: Decided it was time to take my 2011 BMWGSAto another shop and that was Desmoto-Sport.Not that the last shop was incapable, but that the reviews were great and it was real local. I’m real Happy that I did. My Bike I thought only needed a Basic Service, but I was informed that something was just not right with The Motor. They highlighted the fact that it was idling rough and vibrating big time. I told them that I thought that was normal for a big opposed 1200cc Boxer Motor and that it had always run like that, even after The BMW dealer serviced the bike. Scott at Desmoto said the mechanic who was working on my Bike actually rode a 1200 BMW as well and said it was almost unridable to him. Turns out The Throttle Bodies were really gunked up and The Injectors also were marginal. They replaced the injectors with new ones and installed some replacement throttle bodies I supplied them with. Now the Bike Runs like I’ve never known it to run. So Smooth and the Bars actually don’t even vibrate at all. Totally different Motorcycle. Took it down The Coast yesterday and WoW. I’m really Happy!!!Thank You Scott and Desmoto Sport. Can’t wait for the next long Road Trip.
Joel Gámez: I purchased a used BMW whilst in San Francisco. They were able to see me on short notice. It was deemed road worthy to ride back to AZ.
Samson Mai: If you own a Ducati and don't go here, I don't know what you are doing. Heck, if you have an Aprilia, MV Agusta, BMW, or Triumph, why take your bike anywhere else? They also welcome Japanese bikes too. I have been taking my bike here for over 1.5 years, and I hope to do so for longer. They are quite flexible and understanding in their customer service. They know people have busy lives. The atmosphere is quite chill here too. I like that. That's what motorcycling should be about.
Christian: These guys rule. I brought in my wheels taken off the bike already to have the tires changed, and after personally reinstalling the wheels and checking tire pressure- they had already filled them to factory spec. It’s the little details like this that say a lot about a shop. Also good price for SF!
Juan Francisco Arbocco: One of the beat shops in SF, hands down.

katya v: Great experience and result!Kent is pleasant and friendly, honest and fair, competent and professional. For the last 20 years I saw so many good bike mechanics close shop in San Francisco and those who are left are either too fancy to work on my 2009 Shadow or I've had negative experiences with. That is until I found Moto Garage. Kent went over the estimate in detail, breaking down the parts, labor, and timelines. When I came to pick up the bike, he went over the details again and the bill was even slightly lower then the estimate. I was super impressed by his work, the bike feels and rides so much better.
JAFO DC: Googled reviews for a shop near Top of the Hill Daly City...read the reviews for Kent's shop , Moto Garage SF...didn't disappoint...I had a front tire on my Honda Shadow that was going flat...brought it in Saturday a.m....he called at noon and said it was ready...when I came in to pick up the bike he had done some minor adjustments because he noticed bike was running a little rich...I found in talking to Kent "HE KNOWS BIKES"...I think I've found My Bike Mechanic...THIS IS AN UPDATE...I have a 96 Honda 600 VLX & a 2009 Yamaha 650 V- Star...both bikes had issues and "DOCTOR" Kent took care of both bikes in a timely manner and at very reasonable pricing. Kent called me every step of the way in where he was at with each bike...both motorcycles run WAY BETTER than they ever have. I would recommend The DOCTOR to anyone who has a need for motorcycle repairs...give him the time and he will treat YOUR BIKE with the BEST EFFORT he can give...He's MY BIKE MECHANIC & I hope he becomes YOURS TOO !!!👍🏽😎***Took my Girl down to BUCKS restaurant in Woodside on the V-Star and she agreed it's running the best it ever has...Thanks "DR KENT"
Peter Holper: Highly recommend. Kent is a great mechanic!
Toby Zheng: Went to Kent several times to do wheels change, tire change, maintenance and etc… He is very knowledgeable and always giving me good advice on things that I’m not sure with motorcycles. And he always finished the work very fast sometimes same day. Reasonable price and great service, Highly recommend this place!!
DW Sommerville: Amazing Customer Service & Support Every Day👍🏼
Daniel McGee: Kent at Moto Garage was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Took my Ducati in for a new set of tires, and he spent a lot of time explaining and going over all the options with me and helping me pick out the perfect set. Very competitive rates, and simply 10/10 service. Will definitely be back for all future needs.
Oleg: Kent is great! Solid work, quick and very reasonable prices
P Funk: Services:Tires,Auto detailing,Brake service repair,Oil change
Michael Thompson: Never shopped here. But after hearing a negative review here that they only charged 15 bucks to break a chain for someone, I certainly will now. Most shops have a 1 hour minimum. Great job to the shop
Shawn Ovens: Great pricing! No crazy high shop minimum like some other places!
Thomas Rogers: Excellent service and fair pricing, friendly professional staff, highly recommended… thanks for the great trusted work guys!
Daniel Smith: I asked Kent if he'd help me break my chain. I figured it'd cost at least $80 since the standard rate for a mechanic is around $160/hour. He only charged me $15. What a mensch! Thanks, Kent!
Omar Ert: Good place , my first time and everything really nice
Anthony Alyssa: Great service but a lil pricing and people working there were very nice and helpful

Andrew M: I've been coming here for 8+ years and it's incredible. They service my 2009 Buddy 150. Quick, great prices, super honest, never try to upsell you, really good work. Everything you'd want in a shop. Highly recommend!
Mehrzad M: MOST HONEST MOTORCYCLE SHOP IN SF!* Shawn has literally turned down business from me on 3 separate occasions because it wasn't necessary. A mechanic shop turning down $ for the sake of Honesty. For context, I am a beginner rider and have come into the shop 3 distinct times, convinced that my bike needed repairs and fully ready to hand over $ to get the issue fixed. And on all 3 occasions Shawn and his mechanic explained to me that the issue didn't require service or $.Shawn has always explained everything clearly to me and NEVER made me feel like an idiot no matter how basic my questions. He goes above and beyond to help his customers and always done it with the utmost level of professionalism.
Rahil Patel: it's more of a repair shop than a dealer, as the selection is tiny, I mean about 15 bikes total! Mostly sporty boy's bikes
Frisco415 California: Great people good prices support your local small business
Alexander Vichez: Today I bought an excellent quality tire and customer service !!! I will be a frequent buyer 🤜🤛
Jerry Lee: WOW! These guys are so nice! I got my handlebar grips, oil and tires changes done. Initially, I called CalSpeed Moto and that tech was probably the rudest guy I'd ever spoken to. I would NOT recommend going there. When I called ToMo I spoke to Sean and explained that I had stripped the bolt of my bar end. He was super nice and very understanding of my situation and patiently explained that sometimes these are a pain to remove on newer bikes and was very upfront about the cost. I decided to go through it anyway and the job ended up costing less than he originally quoted. Sean also told me that I needed new tires and showed me the amount of tread I had left. He told me it wasn't safe to ride on and suggested taking a Lyft home to think about moving forward with the service. I shopped around for some tires and it turns out that ToMo is very competitive with their pricing and will match online sellers like Revzilla and Cyclegear. Cyclegear will mount and balance tires but you need to unmount the wheels and bring them in yourself. Anyways I'm very glad I went with ToMo and I'd be happy to recommend them to anyone I know!
Julio: AMAZING 11/10!!!This place is seriously hella amazing. I've been to multiple motorcycle shops around the Bay and none come even close to Shawn's shop. The customer service skills are above and beyond, real friendly staff and owner, and hella helpful and considerate. They know their stuff and will even work with you if you need that extra help. If you're looking for a motorcycle shop that you can trust, look no further because Tokyo Moto SF is the best motorcycle shop I've ever been to.
Donald Baum: Best independent motorcycle shop in Bay Area. Shawn and crew care and know bikes!
Ken Capelli: Great repair, gear, and used bike shop - friendly employees and proprietor, nice selection of used bikes in solid condition, and a chill location.
Sam Glover: This was my absolute favorite place to take my bikes while I lived in SF. As a new rider I learned so much from everyone who worked here. Definitely miss you guys!
Mike Crum: Great shop super friendly staff and most importantly solid well priced work, will definitely be using these guys for my Japan bike needs

Marcus Peters: Highly recommend MotoJava for motorcycle maintenance. Just had them do my annual maintenance and install a set of heated grips. The prices are fair and they are good and honest people.
David Levy: . Thank you...I look forward to enjoying the motorcycle for years to come.
Kristen Beck: I had been stalking MotoJava since before Christmas, eyeing a 2006 Vespa GT200. She was Diamond White with a top box, so eye catching, which is what you want while riding any motorcycle. I hemmed and hawed, found ones closer to S.Oregon, but they weren’t the one. After driving my husband crazy for almost 3 months, I concluded I had found my scooter and wasn’t going to let a 6 hour drive detour my decision! I called and spoke to Ben about coming down. He was kind enough to put a hold on it so it wouldn’t be a wasted trip. We arrived just after they opened and got immediate help by Moto Mike. He had the paperwork ready for me, just had to fill out a couple of things and we were done! Mike loaded “Pearly” up and we were off and running! Easiest transaction I have ever had dealing with a shop! Mike and Ben made this a wonderful experience and Pearly is loving her S. Oregon scooter rides! Could not recommend this shop more!
Andrea Ruth: Loved meeting and talking to moto Mike, he gave me some great info.
dedalus 415: because I trusted them. I highly recommend this shop for repairs, maintenance, and purchasing bikes. The prices are fair, and the craftsmanship is stellar.
Pablo Ferrari: Mike is great. I bought a new Kymco People S 150 from him. The bike is running perfect, and he helped me with sincere and useful tips through all the process. Without a doubt I will come back here for my next motorbike!
Shadé Oladetimi: Love this place. Bought a bike from them and sold it back later when I needed to move. Mike and Ben are knowledgeable and very fair and I highly recommend them!
David Lindberg: They are an amazing people there. They truly care about getting the right bike for the right person and helping that person get what they need. They even will help out with any questions or anything like that. I never write these reviews but I definitely wanted to
Dan Heckman: Bought a really nice bike here. The salesman had a chill personality, so no pressure but very helpful. Great price too! Great experience here.
Tyler: Bought two bikes from them, sold one.Would recommend to anyone looking to get a used bike at used bike prices. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Ace Howerton: One of the most insightful, thought provoking experiences with biking and customer service. Hell I would have even bought a cup of coffee from the gentlemen of MotoJava. Luckily they sell high quality bikes at far discounted rates. I recommend for first year riders looking to hit the road this summer. Safe Travels Y’all ✌🏾🛵
Solan Dennis: Got my first bike here Ben was invaluable in helping me choose the right bike for me and extremely knowledgeable.
Amy S: , and only bc someone else beat me to the punch by purchasing the sweet used bike i called to purchase, i think it was Ben
Etna Weidenfeller: was so attentive, knowledgeable and gave us the best customer service. I felt like I known him my whole life. He went above and beyond, he took the time to answer my questions and explained everything with detail, that a new rider like me can comprehend and gave me tips on how to Ride my bike better and feel confident. The motorcycle selection is vast and the prices are reasonable, needless to say. I will not hesitate to find my next bike when I need to upgrade and my friend to purchase his first bike. Thank you so much for your excellence!!
Carlos Chinchilla: I received great fast service from the friendly, honest, and very helpful staff. Will definitely come back regularly!
Mario Casanova: I use to talk to Mike the Old owner, hi was wonderful Guy, he left the store few years agoI believe he's still around few days a week
Josh Ubalde: Moto Mike and Dan were very helpful and informative in finding the bike that suits my needs. Walked in not expecting to leave with another bike, but they gave me such a good deal I couldn't say no. Enjoyed my buying experience and love the bike!
Ko-Chih Wu: Brought my bike to sell. The whole process was super smooth and the offer is legit. Got paid in less than 20 minutes. Would recommend to anyone selling or buying a used bike.

robert price: I purchased my first Harley Davidson here and I was very pleased by the service I received. The people there who helped me with my purchase were professional and very knowledgeable about the motorcycles. I actually experienced a friendly and warm environment there. I was assisted very well during my entire purchasing experience. They had many beautiful models of Harley Davidson motorcycles to choose from and the one I bought I am extremely happy with.
