rahman Mabra: Great products. They could be a little bit more cheaper. But they did cure my cancer and I am internal grateful.Thank you

Edwige A.: The cheese section is impressive!

Amber Zertuche: It's a special treat to myself to go to rainbow grocery. They have all the good bulk foods, the best produce, and so many vegan treats to try. Always great customer service too.

Jacqueline Tona: Best place for bulk and organic items. Oh, and the cute house things aisle. And SPICES!

Bill Appleton: People always make a difference, love Rainbow people.

B. Li: Excellent coop spot with a great selection of specialty products, especially herbs and house made olive oil.Would highly recommend it if you're in the area and want to pick up something like dark chocolate cherries or a local red wine. Also, notably a better spot to get certain spices like whole nutmegs

milagrosa khigenova: Best groceries anywhere in the Bay Area. Best selection of plant based cheese and yogurt. Wish you had a second location in Russian Hill pacific heights — since Whole Foods was bought by Amazon I live in a grocery wasteland

H D: Great grocery store - runs pricey but they have great selections on many things. Especially love their herbal section/teas and vitamin section. Appreciate the vegan goodies too!

Elliott Winslow: Rainbow takes me back.

Rebecca Bodicky: and found the power bar I wanted for the plane ride home.I was so happy to see that it hasn't changed much since the last time I was here, in the 90s. That's something! It was exciting to see that the bulk section is still the same, BYO containers, and that the layout hasn't changed either. I wound up also getting a hat and had a hard time choosing a couple of single cans of probiotics and kombuchas because the selection was vast.I can't tell you how much I wish this was a store in my city: it would take 20 stores to make up this one and it probably still would be as robust. I took a couple pictures just to indicate the 1975 established old world charm. I'm so glad this gem is still around. Employee owned and operated, everyone was helpful and seemed happy at their job.

Ryan M.: One of the best grocery stores In SF. Very high quality stuff that is worth the price

Rupa Patel: after the meal which is a plus! Will come back when I come to CA again! P.s. the peanut butter cookies were so buttery and tasty!

Plant Based Tiger “Plant Based Tiger”: Hands down the best vegan burger experience I’ve ever had! The Shroom Burg is phenomenal…so juicy! My recommendation is the Portabella patty with the GF bun. Also make it a meal with the steamed broccoli and mango lemonade! My third time here and will definitely come again and go to the other locations ✨🙌🙏🙌✨ Vegetarian options: All vegan baby 🌱Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options

Carmen Peters: I was there in 1962-3-4 with my folks of course. Just as you walked in there was a three tiered metal display. In it were the dented cans of Campbell's soup being sold inexpensively. We bought huge fragrant Georgia peaches. It was a dimly lit store with wood floors. So what if it was 62 years ago!? That's my review. Hoping to get back to SF soon 😄 great memories.

Manny Ellison: Omg! I just had the best tasting sandwich in my life. It’s called the Bernal Heights and it has the following in it: Bacon, Crispy Sweet Potato, Avocado, Pea Shoots and Aioli on Toasted Seed Feast Bread. Holy moly this tasted so good. The crispiness of the bread and bacon with the crunch of the greens and then the sweet and salty from the sweet potato and bacon. Damn. I feel like the sandwich was created by a chef. I had a mouth orgasm . Best tastes evaaaaar

Abhijith Chandrashekar: Cute neighborhood market with an excellent selection of upscale, artisanal and hard to find items. The quality of meats, vegetables and cheese is amazing. Walking through the store is a quintessential San Francisco experience in itself. You can also get all the ice creams that they sell across the street at the ice cream shop, but as pints here instead. Be ready for higher prices though.

F Lua: Everything is the best of the best here!

Jessica Ruff: I visit San Francisco regularly and Bi-Rite is a MUST every time I come to town. Great produce, sandwiches, take-away meals, and chocolate selection. I love the plentiful local products and vegan-friendly options. Yes, it’s expensive, but quality food usually is and I’d much rather support a local institution than a box store. Always a pleasure to shop at the Bi-Rite😊

can dilikoglu: It’s a little bit on expensive side but such nice market and everything is good quality. Definitely recommend the Lone Mountain from Deli

Liz K: Convenient deli with everything you may ever need, groceries, flowers, wine and beer and more

Daniel Paik: Highly recommend the lone mountain sandwich, the avocado adds the perfect creaminess to the sandwich!

Shreeparna Patnaik: Lovely place and food is delicious 🤤

Ray Spickler: After this experience, I could actually learn to like some vegan dishes. The pizza was a real surprise.

L: The Wild Mushroom Zeppoli carried the experience, I'd come back just for these.I don't think the Carbonara Pizza, Belga Fries, or Wood Fire Grilled Broccoli and Mushrooms were exceptional, but the mushroom donuts were savory, crispy, and chewy and so, so, so good.Vegetarian options: Everything is plant-based

Matt Y: Always well-stocked, clean, and run by very nice staff and a nice owner. The deli sandwiches are all too good to the point that it’s dangerous to live near here because you’ll start ordering them all the time.

Erin Tiffany Shanahan: Best sandwich in SF. Actually, the best sandwich I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of sandwiches in my life! Highly recommend!

Holden Corcoran: favorite local market! great deli. super friendly staff and owner.

Keltiana B: Best sandwiches in San Francisco. Best market in SF. I lived around the corner for years. Will never forget the turkeys roasting on rotisserie. Best Dutch crunch rolls. When I worked for years at USF, always had to stop in

Brandie Genibrel: This market has everything, it’s small but mighty! New cool brands without pretentiousness. I love this market and it’s a total Neighborhood gem.

Richard Sheehy: Best damn turkey sandwich ever!

Malia: in the back. You can also get espresso and other coffees at the front of the market

Venus Artemisa: Friendly

Jaime Quintana: The place, the personal and the owner are very nice; however, the owner's daughter is very antipatic and rude. If she is there I rather to shop somewhere else

Brian Woodgate: This local market may be small but it packs a lot into what it has to offer!

Frisky Frog (Fathertree): So I love finding special places, and this is another hidden 💎. First off it's clean, organized so you don't have to hunt for stuff. It is well lit and fully stocked. They have a wonderful cheese selection and a wide range of frozen entries and ice cream in the back.. I am not sure if the building is handicap accessible as I encountered stairs at the entrance and exit. The wide selection of fruits and vegetables is wonderful and the prices are not overly expensive for a change. The atmosphere was pleasant and it was not busy at all at 5pm.. here's one more reason to take a gander on this store.. ready.. its 90% downhill from each direction lol.. I mean fighting hills with a food cart is a pain lol.. its nice to find a great store and a awesome employee vibe.. the ice cream selection is on key..

mei okubo: Whole Foods and Trader Joe's super alternative grocery store. They have variety of Mexican and Asian ingredients!

Tim Lake: They have nearly everything you need in this small store and the checkout line rarely has more than one person in front of you. I laugh at the people traipsing up to Trader Joe's to wait in long lines for produce that is vastly inferior to that in this store.I've seen some comments on the meat section and there is some validity. Check the pack dates, which are accurate, and if it is within the last 2 days your selection will be A+. I go here all the time for fish and chicken.

David Kim: This is a great medium small neighborhood supermarket that has about 95% of my needs. Great selection of foods and products from different countries and cuisines. Produce is hit or miss, but mostly hit and very reasonable in price. All in all, quite affordable compared to Whole Paycheck a couple blocks away. Also, friendly storekeepers to help you out.

فن اليمن السعيد: Great store good produce deals

darren Mithew: The best store with cheap produce

Molly McCaughey: They have everything here and you don't have to wait in a huge line like whole foods up the street. Meat is questionable, I only buy it if it was packed the same day. Careful, they do not rotate their products or update their price tags.

S.I. TL. (Stellaaahhh): Best produce around these here parts. I even overheard from passers by that they're famous! I have to agree bc whenever I buy leafy greens like cilantro anywhere else, they're wilted in 24 hours. However, when I buy produce from HERE, I swear, it lasts a week! Their produce here is the freshest and cleanest you can buy. Only place better would be the Farmers' Markets. If I cannot make it down, I know I can rely on this mercado never to disappoint!#Cheers I think they are owned by a Latin family. May they remain open for many years to come. May god/dess bless them every one!

Gina Z: This place has everything! Produce is super fresh. The store has a huge variety of staples, high-end and also the usual stuff. Great find!!

Haziq S: Excellent prices on produce best in San Francisco I have come acrossVery good service especially Sam

Colin Richardson: Great little local grocery store with decent pricing on very fresh produce. They even have their own butchery out the back

Christian Graumueller: Great little store with friendly staff.

N: Good fruit

Nick Monti: Support your local markets! The employees here are very helpful. Trader Joe's level minus the Hawaiian shirts. Although small, it has a great variety of essentials like beans, noodles/pasta/rice, oils, and spices. A fuller variety of East and South Asian spices/products than your typical small grocer - if you're looking for za'atar or roast red pork seasoning mix, you'll find it here.
