Kathleen Pollard: One of the most beautiful parks in California. So many paths for walking, biking and roller skating, Japanese Gardens, De Young Museum, Academy of Science, rose garden and much more! Great place to bring your dog, too. Also, vendors selling pretzels , hot dogs, ice cream and drinks.

Lluis Higini Melero Peris: Modified._A few years ago we were in San Francisco taking advantage of a stay at a relative's house in the city. One of the places that could not be missed was Golden Gate Park. We visited the park on several occasions, lucky to be staying on Balboa Street. It has an extension of 5 kilometers long and 1 kilometer wide, doing it in one day seems like an impossible mission, which is why the park has minibuses that travel through it. At one end of the park, delimiting the beach, are the two windmills on each side. During the various visits to the park we discovered new beautiful and unique corners, such as the Japanese garden decorated with pagodas and bonsai trees, with the area where a herd of American buffalo is located, as well as museums, botanical gardens and sports areas. There are endless things in that park. I can only describe it as excellent. I took photos of almost every corner, and since this park offers a lot, it is appropriate to make individual reviews.

Jota Ce: , greeting the bison... If you travel from east to west you end up in the sea.

Salma Bakr: Amazing park by all measures. A slightly larger version of Central Park in NYC. Tons to see and do. You can easily spend a full day there on weekends or weekdays. My kids especially like the bison paddock and the California Academy of Sciences. And I love the De Young museum and the botanical garden.

Berrin Cantez: It's a wonderful park, just be careful of the grass after it rains, some areas can be deeper and muddy than they appear.

Mon Sin-A (Mon-Si-A): Great place to be at. There are paid parking and street parking. Prepare jacket as it get cold.

Athira Raj: Great park to walk and scenic. Food trucks and event

Maggy C: It is a large and beautiful park where there is a lot to explore and enjoy. Trails and meadows, Academy of Sciences, Botanical Garden, Japanese Garden, Plant Conservatory, courts, sports, Academy of Arts, food carts, everything makes an exceptional place to have a special day for adults and children.

Wayman Wong: Hellsman HallowDog-friendliness: On leashPicnic area: Fully used

J M: The grounds are huge. The Japanese tea garden is gorgeous and tended with love. The area where they have live music had no grass and was pretty bare

Matty B: San Francisco’s iconic city park is truly one of my favorite things about living in the city. It’s huge and fully of little, hidden treasures! I go walking here at least twice a week and I’m constantly finding new things.Public restrooms: Yes Picnic tables: Yes …

Jedi Lewis: Excellent place to stop and meditate.Update; The tree at the back of the park has fallen victim to the latest storm.

Adam “Admanta” Ringel: An often neglected gem in need of a bit more polish. Lovely views of the east bay and the local industrial waterfront. Well worth checking out if cycling to the nearby Heron's Head park.Playground: No playgroundRestrooms: No restrooms presentDog-friendliness: Plenty of room for a nice dog walkPicnic area: Has a few tables and benches for lunch

RW: I stumbled upon this park by accident, and I'm so glad I did. It's a hidden gem in the middle of an industrial zone, with amazing views of the bay, boats, and the city skyline. The park is small, but generally empty. There are some overgrown grass, weeds, and trees that add a touch of greenery to the otherwise gray surroundings. The park has a circular path that goes around the edge, perfect for a short walk alone or with your dog. There are also a few picnic tables in the center, where you can enjoy a snack or a drink while admiring the scenery. The park is not crowded, so you can have some privacy and quiet time. It's a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, and relax near the bay. I highly recommend this park to anyone who is looking for a hidden spot with awesome views. Enjoy and Cheers!

Felipe Rodriguez (POPEYECHULO): It's very peaceful environment to take a stroll through. Many people enjoy walking their dogs in this area. Gorgeous view of the bay.Dog-friendliness: Like i did mention many dog owners are constantly walking their dogs here.

Rachel Ginest: Jackpot n I love it here, just watch out for the feral cats that are residents there as well as the pack of raccoons that are in the rocks and you'll be fineDog-friendliness: Keep pets leashed, lotsa dog smells4waggytailsPicnic area: There's no I don't think there's a barbecue but there are two or three picnic tables.

Dan Belick: This is a nice quiet park in the dog patch area of San Francisco. The area is kind of shady, so I would not recommend coming alone. But it is a good place to fly drones as there are many things to photograph...

Presidio Towing Co.: The view is worth the drive

James Baker: A must place to visit if in San Francisco. There is no admission to the island, however there is a fee to take the boat to the island. The views from Alcatraz are amazing. A FYI there is a lot of walking on the island, a lot of up hill. There are some people movers but it's first come first serve. There is an audio tour of the cell house which is very interesting. Plan about half a day between the ferry to and from and touring the island.

Antonio Vilela: Best beach in SF

Andy Travel Reviews: Love coming here when I visit San Francisco and it's chill but there are a lot of homeless and crime here when I was here. Be aware when you walk on the great highway after 8pm there are some people who camp in car and come out to rob you in the ocean beach parking lot

Jota Ce: Stormy beach ideal for watching the sunset over the Pacific. It is usually cold to be in a swimsuit, but it is ideal for walking or playing sports. Until 9:30 p.m. you can make bonfires in their bonfires.

Matus Kopalko: Ocean beach is a must see spot in San Francisco. You can comfortably get there by a tram N, which is a nice sightseeing line too.Ocean beach is a large, open space with authentic ocean panorama - you can hear and smell it very well. I recommend to go snd touch the pacific ocean - its quite cold. You can see ocean birds and some shells too.You can walk all this ocean beach and you will enjoy it as ocean is so close and you can see city, parks, cliffs and mich more and then continue one of the coast trails. Going back you should take a parrallel street of this district as you came by the tram.

Amanda: We just made a really quick stop here while driving around for the afternoon. It was just a typical beach for me. It was so cold out so I didn’t go out my toes in the water which I regret now! I hope to come back again when it’s warmer and enjoy it to its fullest.

Sunghyun Nam: Good place to see the ocean and sands.

Kiran K: Iconic beach in SF

Onward TheyGo: Visited 12/06/2023.A lovely beach, it was nice to enjoy the sea breeze and the sand between your toes. We had walked Golden Gate Park to get there, so it was refreshing and enjoyable with the sunshine. They even had a couple of old fashioned windmills to admire and enjoy as well.Nice to sit and enjoy.

Jovanna Reyes Casillas: Beautiful place to watch the sunset!

Geovanny LC: Great spot to back up your car and enjoy some pizza with the sunset on the horizon. Keep the parking lots free!

Shiva K: Nice beach and lots of birds flying around but unfortunately it was not very clean beach.

Nicole L.: Very beautiful landscape

Lluis Higini Melero Peris: Modified. A few years ago we lived in this city for a while visiting a relative, whose home was on one of the cross streets of Balboa St., close to Golden Gate Park. In this park we can find various places of interest, such as the 2 windmills, in this case the Dutch Windmill, a historic windmill, built in 1903 and restored in 1981. It can be seen from the park or contemplated from the parking area. Ocean Beach. The photos accompany. I don't know why reviews are uploaded on this site when they are not talking about the mill and refer to other things????

Tim Hilton: Dog friendly beach where dogs can be off leash. Has nearby hiking trails and preserved sites in a National Park. There are no stores or businesses nearby and cell phone signal is limited.

Jennifer Thompson: that I was able to take a meeting from the parking lot so I didn't have to leave!

Chris Johnson: but still a really nice place to have a picnic and enjoy.

Lana Ellison: Beautiful day beautiful hike!

Jeevan Chapagain: Nice beach

Brett Boje: Stunning beach. Well worth the visit!

Alona Zalevska: Not a bad place, instead of sand there are very small multi-colored pebbles. The parking lot is small. A narrow wooden bridge across a small bay leads to the shore.

Kaili Hutchins: On a clear day, the views are breathtaking. It is a perfect place for a picnic. The scenery is tranquil and relaxing during a weekend get away from the hustle and bustle.

Colleen Drinkwater: Perfect sunset♥️

AARON RAFUL: Always great!

Mengxuan: More like a dog beach. Sand there is a bit rough.

Disciple Rhinehart: Walker praise It's really impressive how they have preserved this peace of nature just on the other side of the Golden gate bridge.

christopher buser: Beautiful little niche tucked away in Golden Gate.Remember: Appreciate the shiny rocks, but don't take any!
