Varna Vincent: Tiny place but awesome food. This may not be in the safest area in San Francisco. We went in a group in the evening, had dinner and left before it got dark. We got the injera and meat and vegetarian dishes. Everything was good.

Taylor Morgan: It's been 4 years since I've been here and I still think about it to this day. Planning a trip to the city around coming back here.

Brian W Schwisow (Piscatorial Veteran): Just really good food.

Ross Brown: Fantastic food.

Taynt Ryder Rodeo: I’m not from here but when I was in Ethiopia I couldn’t find food no where. Seems those that can afford food must have it pretty good… this here was a nice thing there

Ricardo Martin Villegas Rodriguez: The owners at Tadu are some of the sweetest and most welcoming folks you can meet. It’s a tiny little hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but they know how to serve up a DAMN feast. Make sure to get the platter and have a little bit of everything, you won’t regret it. I love being able to eat with my hands and even more so, being able to share the food, family style. Support local!

ronald yu: Best Ethiopian food I have had in city so far.

Jaidev Mirchandani: Really nice Ethiopian food!

Jonathan Husband: Small but the best Ethiopian Food I've had in forever. Plenty of flavors and even though the place is small the food comes out fast.

Erik Svarr: Amazing food, low price. One of the best restaurant in the area.

Mona Madrigal: We have been coming here for over a decade. The food is still just as good and it has a comfortable atmosphere.Vegetarian options: Very good and wide variety. I’m not remotely vegetarian but can totally eat the veg combo and be very satisfied.Dietary restrictions: Plenty for dairy sensitive and vegetariansParking: Typical Valencia parking but commercial parking space right in front that ends at 6 so it’s easy to park to grab takeout.

Vijay Devaguptapu: I am being introduced to Ethiopian cuisine with this restaurant.I absolutely love the experience.A shout out to all Indians - TRY Ethiopian if you haven't started already! Biriyani is love but exploring is better 🙏🏼

Sophie Price: Quick service and delicious food, thank you!

E RD: Sooo good and perfect spice level if you can’t handle heat. Loved it!

Jacqueline Torres: My husband and I always have a delightful experience at this Ethiopian restaurant, it’s our go to spot before watching a Giants game. The flavors are authentic and bold, I particularly enjoy the kik alicha and tibs plate! The injera is also very delicious.Service is always friendly and prompt. A hidden gem that's definitely worth a visit!

Jeremiah Ziskovsky: 由友好的家庭經營的小餐館,供應充滿活力的辛辣風味。真正的埃塞俄比亞人在下海特的絕佳停留。建議的餐點 Veggie Combo …

Elisa Han:

Soledad Albornoz:

Craig Lewis: Good food and service and fairly inexpensive. We rambled in with a mess of dietary requirements and the guy was really patient and helpful.

3Deer: I recently visited San Francisco from socal and tried Axum cafe. This was my first exposure to Ethiopian cuisine and it was immaculate! I would be cautious if you are sensitive to spice, though.

Austin Sullivan: Splitting a veggie platter is a great vegan date night

Josh Greenwalt: Veggie platter for 2. Add tibsie lamb. Amazing.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggies. Have to add meats.

Adrian Gaino: Cultural Cuisine

P S: Extremely delicious cuisine! Perfectly spiced and bursting with flavor in every bite! They have a full bar also. The injera soaks all the yummy juices up and makes for a unique dining experience. Wonderful staff and excellent service. The vibes are very romantic inside with wooden decorations and red stained glass lamps. Highly recommend if you aren't afraid of spices!Vegetarian options: Many vegan options

Simone Baggetto: I miss oasis so much! I regularly came here for dinner and lunch. The veggie combo was ridiculously delicious and filling.

April Trinh: One of my favorite restaurants in the city! The veggie combo is absolutely amazing. The owner and staff are always friendly. Great neighborhood spot.

Revathy: It was amazing! We ordered a vegetarian combo that came with injera. It was scrumptious. It came with 5 sides and every single one of them was yum. The food portion is big and it can be easily shared by two people. The food felt light and filling. Every item on the vegetarian combo was freshly made. But I guess the starter we ordered was a frozen item which was refried. It tasted well but it was a bit dry. I am not a fan of frozen and reheated items. Nevertheless, I stick with 5 stars because their food was very tasty overall and the staff was kind too. You have good vegetarian and non-vegetarian options here.

It's Alive Kombucha: This place is AMAZING⚡

Swati Sangvikar: Good, simple, wholesome Ethiopian food. Friendly service. Worth a visit for health conscious people.

Michael Barger: Excellent food and Hailey is a pleasure to talk to. Wonderful experience at this restaurant. 🌞

Nicole: , but I tried some at Haile's recommendation, and it was so flavorful; no sugar, no cream needed. Like, it was good cold the next day :ONeedless to say, 10/10 wonderful food and experience

MeMeteas G: Good good and smoothie

Alison Moscoso: , I requested a vegan plate that was a last minute addition. They didn't even flinch and very graciously accomodated my dietary needs. I enjoyed a salad followed by a bowl with lentils, saffron rice, and some sort of greens. It was perfectly spiced and delicious. Highly recommend!

Steve Joh: Amazing food. Great flavor and impeccable technique. Love it. The hot sauce is extra good.

Helen Smith: Such amazing food! We ordered four different dishes and all cleaned our plates!Vegetarian options: Multiple vegetarian options that are satisfying and delicious.Dietary restrictions: The menu is marked with allergens to make ordering easy for those with dietary restrictions! I'm allergic to gluten and dairy and I had no issues ordering and the food was amazing.

Hans Goertz: Tasty, fresh healthy food

Conan Edwards: Really tasty dishes, very friendly owner

C Lilakos: Wow…this was some of the best food I had in SanFrancisco, hands down. You can tell the owner puts a lot of love into the food. I got the prawns over couscous, salad, and hibiscus drink. The food was made to order and super fresh. The chef was timely, attentive, and had a great sense of urgency. He made the food in minutes. It was so flavorful. The space itself was very inviting. There were books to read, spaces to work, and larger table settings for groups of people. I was so impressed with everything I ate. The portions were also really generous. This was a great escape from pricy, hyped up, city eateries. It’s truly a gem and an A1 establishment.

Liani Leota: Food was amazing staff is great

Alex Litovskiy: 5* is too low. This food was AMAZING

Mlvl L: Its been a few months but wanted to review from few months ago-their wonderful entrees & Vegtable Plates, lamb, meatballs, couscous, vegtables specials & soups, salads. I've eaten many times, each was fantastic. Even a simple side order of vegtable of day from farmers market is good seasoned with spices, butter & amazing flavorful textures. The owner is caring, great service, great homemade authentic African & Creative Infusions all -Seasoned with herbs and spices, with other very fresh ingredients. Always a great meal.

Judah Dwyer-Dahlstrom: Eskander is an excellent chef! Each plate is memorable, in the best possible way. The table layout accommodates equally the single customer or a gathering of 20+. Radio Africa is available for event rental also. I love this place!

Binh Nguyen: We walked in, the front person asked if we have any allergy, and how hungry we are, and began to serve food that way without us needing to look through the menu. The dishes are exquisite, and it feels very warm and welcome, as if we were visiting a friend's kitchen rather than going to a restaurant. Looking forward to revisit when I am back in SF.
