Yi-Chieh Chen: spread of banchan- Marinated galbi

Deep DiverB: Food: 5/5

ESGEE: for free.By the time we finished dinner, there was a long line so we left quickly.Wheelchair accessibility: You can go to the table in the large space at the entrance in your wheelchair and sit right there to eat.

Laura Anderson: Walked over from the DeYoung Museum. We shared 2 lunch specials. bbq ribs and seafood combo. We were so delighted with the bubbling soup and assortment of banchan. We ordered a side of crispy lettuce leaves and it came with the best miso paste I’ve ever tasted. We loved every bite. The bill at the end was served with a delicious sweet rice drink. Perfect to soothe your palate. We paid 70.00 including a 10.00 tip. We will definitely go back for dinner with the bbq on the table.

Alice Hou: Located in San Francisco’s Lower Nob Hill, ZZAN offers a mix of traditional and modern Korean dishes. Here’s what stood out during my visit:Cold Noodle Soup: The cold noodle soup is a refreshing choice, especially during warmer weather. The generous portion of noodles combined with kimchi creates a satisfying and tangy flavor. It’s a must-try for those seeking a cooling dish.Beef Soft Tofu Soup: While the cold noodle soup stole the show, the beef soft tofu soup didn’t disappoint either. The broth lacked a strong fragrance, but the flavor was decent. It’s a comforting option, although it doesn’t stand out as much as the cold noodle soup. Broth fragrance could be improved.

Kane Miller: . The food is great, the prices surprisingly reasonable

Joseph Deutsch: Had a good time eating and drinking here. The beef short Rib was tender full of flavor and had a nice grill marks for that little char. Spicy pork wasn't overpowering good flavor. Cold noodle with kimchi hit the spot for me but if I want to be nitpicking flavor wasn't as delicious as the other dishes. And not to many side dishes like other Korean restaurant I've been to. The side of kimchi was so good. Overall I was happy and the food came out quickly.Parking: It's SF street parking think about it 🤔Wheelchair accessibility: It's tight in there I'd call the restaurant before showing up if this is a concern

Mr Robot: The food is great, but the prices are absurd. $25 for a plate of spicy chicken with cheese. SF pricing has got out of hand. I’ll be coming here less because of price increases.Food: 4/5 …

Yiji Bae: Wow, what is this tteokbokki...I ordered stir-fried pork, kimchi stew, and tteokbokki. The other items were above average, but the tteokbokki was better than the one I had in Korea.ㅠㅠㅠI was really happy thanks to you,,,,The staff is Korean and really friendly haha.Add ramen to tteokbokki!! I'll have to add cheese next time.Stir-fried pork is also rich and contains a variety of vegetables!!Kimchi stew is truly delicious boiled with aged kimchi! There was pork in it haha.

Charmaine A: Waited a while for a table since I had a party of 7 dining together. Gratuity was added automatically to our bill since we had a large group - all of us paid about 50 USD for the meal which was pretty decent since we had a few drinks and shared a few dishes. One of the staff cleared my drink when there was still some left but another staff apologised and gave me a replacement. They close pretty early though so be sure to arrive earlier if you are in a big group.

Ray Anthony Roderos (Knight): Recommend for an asian/ korean take on brunch. Its the sister restaurant of sweet maple so a few items are also found here.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp

Nora: Went here with a friend and we split the Kalbijjim with added rice cakes and cheese. It was delightful. The meat was tender and the broth was perfectly flavored. Super fun that they come and torch the cheese in front of you.Portion was massive— would have comfortably fed 3-4 if wanted.

Kaare Dixon: We got the braised beef, with half cheese. They put cheese on half the dish for us. Which was nice because one of our party can't have dairy. It came with accompanying fermented vegetables and purple rice. The food was very good with a large portion. There was 2 of us, we didn't get close to finishing it. The atmosphere was nice, but it felt like they had one song on repeat with heavy base for the whole visit

Tumenjargal Ressl: Too much sugar in to the food! I understand that if they don’t put a lot of sugar in to their food Americans won’t like the food and don’t wanna come again but how about Asians? We don’t like too much sugar into our food.

Carey: Authentic Korean cuisine but not impressive to be honest. Foods were good except for the kimchi not many choices as other Korean restaurants, and tasted not good. Quick service but maybe too quick, felt like they pushed you to leave after you done your meals. Prepared to long queue because they don’t accept the reservation. We never come back again because of really long wait and unfriendly service.

Jamie K: delicious, crispy chicken! one of the best places in SF. the crispiness is unmatched. rice cake soup broth was clean and well seasoned. we tried the nacho cheese chicken and it was surprisingly good! prices also very reasonable. definitely stop by if you’re near Japantown or Fillmore area!Recommended dishes Rice Cake Soup with Dumpling …

Sky Blue: It is obviously hidden-talented Korean restaurant in upper San Francisco. Even though it seems not to be known to public well, it sets a variety of typical Korean food in array and profoundly spicy food brings emotional attraction to Korean food lovers.

Jisoo Shon: So tasty! Hidden place around Japan town

Peter Park: The restaurant finally reopened, but with completely different menu...fried chicken heavy... food was good. But I'm definitely going to miss the old menu. I just can't see myself going there as much as used to...

That's Cool Jack: You get a big bowl of good soup

Joseph Francia: Solid Korean spot that serves fried chicken plates and soups. I got the fried chicken lunch special which was quite a bit of food at a decent priceDine in: Yes Takeout: Yes …

Daniel Curran Jr: This used to be a Korean restaurant, now it's specializes in chicken plates. Super chill, the food was good and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly. There's not a vegetarian option that we saw so heads up about that. I would definitely go againDine in: Yes Outdoor seating: No Takeout: Yes Delivery: Yes Curbside pickup: No …

Stuart Wilkinson: Nice food good service

Nudar Tanvir: Isa

Chika Emeka: The food is pretty good! The bento box with teriyaki chicken never fails. Their potstickers are extra crispy just how I like them. Also, the owners are very nice and welcoming. You'll enjoy the food.

Eunah Hwang: The seasoned chicken is delicious~ I brought it packaged and it comes with chicken radish!! The seasoned chicken I've ordered at other places sometimes has a sticky texture or doesn't have much seasoning, but here the seasoning is plentiful. 😎👍The chicken radish is a bit bland because they make it themselves, but it's still delicious!

Anna Sun: I get the fried chicken w sauce on the side once a week! So good every time. I call in my order ahead and pick it up at the window 👌

Alicia Lei: 8:15PM reservation and were seated quickly upon arrival. Service is great! Friendly and knowledgeable. We got the following:- Savory egg souffle

Julia Kim: I am a middle aged, Korean foodie. This place is incredibly hard to book and not sure why. Service is good. Banchan so so. Kimchi clueless. Dishes were generally over-seasoned and too salty for my authentic Korean taste which is understandable in the US. Price not bad. Atmosphere surprisingly clean and modern. Creative ideas for dishes but executions not there for Michelin 1 star IMHO. Busing cart brought out next to me to clean the table definitely not Michelin. Best part of the meal was mango bingsu dessert.

Andrew Tan: The food was yummy and service excellent. This place needs reservation. We were 15mins early and we were told to wait till the reservation time. Compliments to all the servers for tip top service and I would like to compliment Rachel and Victoria for their smile, introducing the food, attentiveness. When my son dropped his pair of chopsticks, Rachel came to our table to pass a new pair of chopsticks without being asked. The food portion was sumptuous with excellent quality. Highly recommended. Well done team in San Ho Won.

Billy Xia: We managed to snap a last min 5pm cancellation. When we showed up there was already a long line outside for walk-ins. It shows how popular this place is.The food was out of the world. Authentically Korean. Everything was delicious but especially the egg soufflé, the best I’ve had so far! The service was very attentive.

Regina Wu: San Ho Won offers a delightful array of Korean cuisine with a focus on quality and flavor. From the succulent center cut Beef Tongue to the flavorful Galbi Mandu and House double cut Galbi, each dish showcases the chef's expertise and dedication to authentic flavors. The Jebi Churi- Beef Neck Fillet is a standout, tender and bursting with savory goodness. Don't miss out on the Grilled Tteok, a perfect complement to any meal. With its inviting ambiance and impeccable service, San Ho Won is a must-visit for anyone craving exceptional Korean dining.

Alejandro Yah: So good

Kurt Young: Highly recommended... For those who want to go abroad and experience the taste of Korea... I highly recommend this place!! The staff is also very friendly. I went there for lunch. It was great..^^

Dylan Hofstad: All of it was fantastic, the wait staff was a single person, but she was very caring and helpful. The food was phenominal, I would highly recomend the pinnapple fried chicken and any of the korean sodas they carry, the orange and white grape were amazing. The atmosphere was quiet and quaint, we were 1 of two seated tables making for a pleasant dining experience with friends. Its a small hole in the wall place you can't miss it.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp to accomidate since it has a higher level.

Kareena Cleveland: The food was amazing will defs visit again when i come back to san francisco and most importantly the service was amazing...Annie was our server she explained everything and mad food suggestions...best korean food in town and its reasonable pricesRecommendation for vegetarians Highly recommend …

Ken White: If you don’t want to schlep out to the Richmond District, you need go no further than Jim Mi for honest authentic Korean cuisine.

Tim Wang: Had a craving for Korean food and this hit the spot. Really really good food. The ladies working the restaurant were real sweet and nice too. Not the cheapest restaurant, but quality was great and portions were very large. Would highly recommend.

Steven Maz: Love it!

Neal: Absolutely delicious Korean food.Everything on the menu has increased by $2, but everything is still delicious. The restaurant is close to multiple bus stops, so I recommend taking public transportation here, but street parking can be found nearby and the Kaiser hospital nearby has a paid parking lot. If you're dining in, you'll sit in the back. There are some tables there, enough for big groups of people. If you're getting takeout, there's a waiting area in the front. There is also a lunch menu, which has some selections from the normal menu at lower prices. Service is great and you should check this place out.If you don't know what to order, just order the bibimbap. It's a bunch of different foods over rice, with some kimchi and hot pepper paste on the side. Everything is cooked perfectly. There's also KBBQ here, soups, noodles, and other rice dishes here.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available. There are plenty of vegetable based dishes. You can ask the employees for more information.Dietary restrictions: Ask employees for more informationParking: No parking lot, street parking nearby, Kaiser hospital has paid parking lot.Kid-friendliness: A child will probably like this place. It feels like an inviting place.Wheelchair accessibility: A large wheelchair may be hard to fit through the door.

Val Lapidus: This place is amazing. A little expensive but full of flavor

Man Hyue Shin: It is truly Joeun Restaurant with food that suits Korean tastes. Friendly staff.Cheap price and delicious food

francis montgomery: Exploring the Korean food scene in the City is an explosion of tasty.Let's get into it.The dol sot bibimbap is bright with color and flavorful, the rice is crispy with the right level of spice....the tofu soup...yes please deliver it to me when Karl the Fog has us cuddling. You can choose dumping, beef or vegetables with your soup...there is no bad choice. My dining companion chose bulgogi who reported the meat was tender, well marinated while the bed of onions had that good carmelization.Close to home and lunch parking was a breeze

Kouki Kubota: It's unassuming to my own untrained eyes, but the restaurant was pretty darn good. The first combo they offer on the back of the menu was what we ordered, and every plate that came out tasted amazing. There's not much else to say, it's super good Korean bbq -- highly recommended!

Emcee Grady: So much good food. Our server was amazing. Thank you

Andrea Pivetta: with amazing food!

William Zhang: Good service and portion sizes!

Jenny Ha: and have slightly increased. i would say this place is on the pricier side but it is located in one of the busier areas.

Jon Singh: It was our first time here and the food was authentic, fresh and delicious. Very nice and friendly environment. The service was awesome, we felt welcomed. Price was in line with quality of the food. We will definitely will be dining here again.

Peter Park: Food was actually really good. But the staff seemed a little overwhelmed, maybe short staffed? But would definitely recommend it!

music destiny: It’s a good Korean bbq restaurant. Foods great and very tasty but also pricey due to the quality of the food in itself. Would totally recommend this place to anyone that’s looking to try some Korean bbq. One of the things that I love about this place is there kimchi soups and kimchi fried rice are the best so far I’ve tasted here in San Francisco. If you haven’t been here or tried their food… than don’t wait no more and go get yourself some soup… it’s good for a hangover kinda day. Lol 🤣… my kinda place when I’m craving something spicy. They also have mild food so not to worry as you can always ask them. They cater well to their customers.

Daniel J.: Love the food here. Definitely expensive but worth the money. The seafood pancake is my favorite.

Mich Ro: Delicious Korean comfort food. Scaled down menu given the times, but you'll still find plenty of dishes to enjoy. Excellent chicken wings, tasty hangover soup. Great taste and value. Highly recommend Hwaro, and it's the only Korean food you'll find in the area.

STEFANY SALINAS: ❤️

Kyle Thulien: Yum yum yum. Had the KFC and kimchi fried rice and I'll have it again, and again, and again. They say wings but these are the biggest, juiciest, meatiest cuts totally worth trying.Local business is so easy to suport when it's this good. I'll be happy to try the menu.

Devin Carraway: . The fried chicken is flavorful and wonderfully crispy. I'd like a vegetarian soup option, but that gives me another reason to go back after vaccine-prevalence. :

Jose Hernandez: PERFECT PLACE

Elissa Stein: Great food great service!!!!!!!

Adiel Escobar: Delightful experience. Good food. Good drinks.

Houston Forrester: First time going. Excellent food! I'll be back.

norris tran: The Pork belly koja sandwich just melted my heart after the first bite. The crispy wonton inside gave a great bit of crunch while the garlic aioli and tobiko provided a mildy smoky/salty taste providing a pleasant complexity to the flavor.

Doug Maner: Teeny tiny place with a few seats inside & a few sidewalk tables. It's really best for to-go.The food is pretty simple and straightforward.Everything is really good, it's hard to go wrong here. The koja "burger" is great with short ribs in between rice buns.Fast and friendly service. They're located in the former Vietnamese cafe spot on 6th.

Neal: restaurant makes great fries, uncommon burgers, and refreshing drinks. There is a restroom, plenty of seating inside, and patio seating at the entrance if you like being kind of outside. This place can accommodate small and large groups because there are different sizes of tables. Also alcohol beverages, including from a tap, are available here. There are also TVs with sports playing.I ordered a Mint Mango Lemonade, a Short Rib KoJa, a Beef Taco, and the Kamikaze Fries for pickup through Doordash. The total after tax was about $30. The "KoJa," a rice bun burger, was delicious, but the rice was kind of hard outside from being fried. The short rib was tender, juicy, and really good. The taco was also really good and came with a little lemon wedge. The fries were my favorite out of everything; they were packed with flavor, still crispy under the toppings, and just spicy enough for me. The lemonade was more sour than I expected and I didn't really like it, but was definitely an interesting drink.Overall, I think the food here is great. I feel like $30 is high for what I got, but if you have a discount code through a delivery app, this would be a great choice. On a different visit, I ordered the Crispy Chicken Bowl and the fried chicken was burnt.Vegetarian options: Almost everything has meatDietary restrictions: Food is made to order, ask employeesParking: There's a parking lot at the Kaiser Permanente hospital a block away. Street parking can be found nearby.Kid-friendliness: Good for familiesWheelchair accessibility: Low tables, wide doorway

Sarah Sebers: This place is amazing for reliable flavor and good customer service. Just be aware that the establishment is temporarily “closed” because they are moving locations and merging with another restaurant on 6th Ave. Even though google says they are open, they currently are not!
