Andrew Cao: Recommended by my piano teacher. Has a wide variety of choices for purchase and renting. Great and responsive customer service & can't recommend it more if you are thinking about owning/renting a piano in the bay.
Andy Hu: Very patient service and introduction, amazing product.
Faris Masad: they sent me an email asking me if I'm available between 12 and 1 for a delivery. I didn't check my email, so they called me around 11:30am, asked me if it's ok to deliver it, I said yes. They were there right on time, asked me if I wanted it assembled, I said of course, the guys were excellent, they're super efficient, super clean, they put floor protection where they were working, wore shoe covers, and were silent, highly recommend tipping them.
Nahed Elrayes ناهض الريس: Amazingly priced, flexible and professional. Andrew was super nice. Would recommend!
Michelle Yi (Yulle): Everyone was very knowledgeable and friendly at the store. It was easy to schedule an appointment and go learn about the different options. They also have a ton of options around delivery, trade-in, etc. in addition to a great line if inventory. Highly recommend!
S 19: I have received excellent customer services and a beautiful top line digital piano from this store. Thanks to Bozkurt's knowledge and patience, i decided on the beautiful Kawai CA 99 with the store promotion price! I am very grateful and excited, can't wait to start my piano journey!
Stephan Vrudny: Honest review from a local Silicon Valley family with two children who play piano. We purchased a new Kawaii upright piano from San Mateo Piano. We got a great piano for a fantastic price and both our kids are thrilled with the piano! We could not be happier in how Bozkurt and Louse and entire team took care of us from explaining the piano options, then handling our purchase, and setting up delivery of the piano to our home. WOW, what a team! If you are seeking a new piano, either upright or grand, we recommend buying from them. On price, you just cannot beat San Mateo Piano because they are a direct factory outlet so nobody beats their pricing. Initially, some customers may be hesitant about ordering a Kawaii when you don't get to play your specific piano until its unboxed at your home upon delivery. Our experience is that process was great because you do get to play and choose your model piano in the showroom, and San Mateo team ensures you are delivered a great piano. Another tip we have is for the families who have pre-conceived notion that Yamaha is the best. We initially had same mistaken idea, but our two pianist children tried both Yamaha vs. Kawaii uprights and they strongly preferred the Kawaii sound, and so did my wife and I.
Drowsy Naga: Andrew was super helpful and honest. He tried to understand my needs and provided the best options available. If you are looking for great service and a fair market price, I highly recommend this store.
Phillip Wu: Has pianos and lessons.
Rushabh Chitalia: Amazing and very professional. Keep it rolling Bozkurt !!

papaya: Highly recommend anyone who considers buying a piano visiting this store. It’s really an eye-opening experience for my visit, I was able to try Yamaha, Steinway, and Faliozi ! Appreciated Ross guided us in the store, sharing stories behind pianos, and showing some very precious, rare antique pianos!!
John Smith: They have great selection of pianos here. Great folks here, Kevin and Ross were very accommodating and helpful.
Richard Perkins: Saw the Band of Brothers last night and it was fantastic. First time seeing a show here and it was excellent. My wife was over the moon looking at all the wonderful pianos. Meeting the legendary Tony Levin was definitely a highlight. His brother Pete was also gracious with his time.
FreedomUSA1: I swear if you attend a concert here you literally enter a portal into another dimension. It is a low-key, friendly & unassuming environment, yet I have seen performances that surpassed those in Carnegie Hall! I'm always surprised there are not riots or throngs fighting to get in. You don't have to envy those who saw Charlie Parker jamming in someone's living room. There are actually secret performances of that caliber happening here and you are just feet away. I guarantee it will blow your mind. But it does make me feel guilty for not buying a piano.
Deimos Gin: I purchased a Yamaha piano at this place - and the experience was amazing. Shout out to Ross - a professional pianist who was exceptionally knowledgeable about pianos and music, and very patient and considerate for all of my questions and requests. This is undoubtedly the best piano store I've ever visited in Bay area.
Saki Kono: So many pianos for sale! Great concerts on almost every weekends!
John Kittredge: Such a wonderful place to see an intimate jazz piano concert! Great people hosting great artists. Get on their mailing list and be amazed at the talent that rolls through this tiny venue.
Thomas Philipps: besides selling the best new and refurbished pianos, they have wonderful intimate jazz - piano concerts
Miyoung Choi: Very relaxed and nice dealers. Just made my purchase of the Yamaha AvantGrand N1X hybrid piano. Thank you Ross and Jim!!!They seemed honest and open for reasonable negotiations. No hint of being sneaky or pushy to make customers feel anxious unlike other dealers I spoke with at another piano dealership.Still need to wait my piano to be delivered. Will update my review if needed.
David Bowles: Amazing collection of old and new pianos in a former Art Deco auto dealership. Also a venue for jazz performances!
Jeremy Shi: Jim gave us a great deal. Kevin is also very efficient and helpful. I’m so glad Piedmont Piano Co helped us find our dream piano!
Mollie Murillo: Incredibly knowledgeable and kind. Quick response to my email. Thank you so much.
Shela: Ross answered my many questions and helped me find the perfect piano for me. Thanks!
Janiece Gehrke: We are on holiday from the Chicagoland area and due to flying, my 11 year old did not have her piano or keyboard. She has been practicing daily for 1200 days and wanted to continue the streak so we have been driving around the San Francisco area using music stores and public pianos. The Piedmont Piano Co. was a gem to find. The gentleman who took our call and helped us was nothing short of amazing! He was kind and welcoming and even joked with my shy daughter. Such a lovely gentleman and establishment. Thanks for helping us out!

Dan: Bought a Kawai digital piano from this store. Diana helped me, she was fabulous and the moving guys did a fantastic job as well. I am now enjoying my amazing piece of art. Thank you and I'd most definitely purchase from this company again!
Mendo4Pete: Great selection, very good prices, friendly and helpful service. Easy sales process, great delivery range. Would highly recommend shopping here.
Jeffrey Finder: I happened to be walking past and noticed this place. They have a large selection of pianos and do repairs. What caught my eye though were guitars hanging in the window, as I'm a guitarist. Apparently they are a dealer for Yamaha acoustics. Given their out of way location and their name, I have to wonder if they sell many, but I got to try a variety of guitars I only knew from reviews, all from that brand. It's the best selection of Yamaha acoustic guitars I've seen in any store.
Priestess Pagoda: Amazing customer service!
Caleb Kierum: Incredible selection of pianos to try. I was mostly going for a high end electric and they had a great selection of options for me to try out. Although the salesman at the time didn’t seem perfectly experienced with the details of them they got me the information I needed.Shipping was fast, free, on time. Piano arrived assembled. They also have a great selection of guitars! Including very affordable ones of great quality for beginners.
Julian “jpakdel” P: Better pianos, better price, papa johns
Joshua Gilstein: I bought my new keyboard from here and am so happy with my purchase. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the pianos. I was able to spend a few hours there playing all the different options.
Bob Lansburg: This is the only place I'll buy a piano from here in the Bay Area. They really go out of their way to make sure you get the piano that will work for you.
Nicholas Groenke: Nice place. Helpful people. Good selection of Kawai and Roland digital pianos. Free delivery to Sam Francisco.
Ben Petrosky: . Helpful staff, delivery to SF. Also have a nice selection of ukuleles, guitars, including entry level.
Arash Aaghaz: Highly recommended. Variety of pianos and Steinway restorations are done professionally.Best in the area!
Tony Kigano: Great place and friendly staff.
Teneré Richmond: Beautiful spot for restored vintage pianos. Friendly and helpful workers.
John Morgan: & a whopping Mc Phail upright. All of them well taken care of, capable of holding 440, and cleaned inside/out by the crew.As far as your basic Yamaha, Kawais, & Steinway- they have a huge selection priced fairly. Their expertise is well worth the price on anything in their shop / storefront. The movers are incredible as well- not a scratch, not a dent, non - invasive. They are incredibly skilled and ridiculously genuine. If you are in the market for a piano, from beginner to pro- it would be a mistake to overlook this family run shop.
Chris Carter: Great selection, nice and helpful staff

Jose Santos: This is where you want to go to buy a piano! Rick showed us a number of options for the upright piano that we were looking for. Rick is knowledgable about how each piano is constructed and why it sounds the way it does. The variety of choices together with the education made it easy to select the upright that sounded best for the intended purpose: a Baldwin. In all the service is professional and friendly, the piano offering is extensive and the price is right.
Sibyllin Odela: there -- the entire experience was very professional and delightful! They know what a high-quality piano means there. Highly recommended.
Ying Lei: The staff is very friendly and nice. We went there for recording and enjoyed the space a lot.
Nick Kosarek: I recently got in the market for an upright and my piano technician recommended I check out Kassman Pianos as they had recently changed ownership. I couldn't have been happier with my experience in the store.I walked in and was greeted by Ric who helped me the entire time I was there. You can immediately tell that Ric is very passionate and knowledgeable about his pianos, and I learned a ton about the piano I ended up purchasing just in the half hour that I was in the store. I was a little nervous to play in front of anyone as I hadn't played much in quite a while, but he gave me plenty of space and time to just sit and play so I could get a good sense of which pianos felt right for me.I was also a bit anxious about getting the piano into my apartment since I don't have a big elevator and the staircase is a bit weird, but Ric talked me through what the process would look like for the movers and what we could do if it ended up more difficult than anticipated.Overall I had a great experience working with Ric. If you are in the market for a piano, you should definitely check this place out.
Grace Colangelo: Russell was very kind and patient with me and my child. He even put us in contact with an excellent teacher to help continue my child’s musical education.
Mark Lau: I had purchased several pianos from Mr. Kassman’s store for 40 years and think highly of his knowledge of the instrument, integrity and friendliness. He always backed his sales with service and helpfulness.

Paula Quinn: Decent drop off with pleasant staff. BUT in spite of what the website says and what we were told on the phone yesterday they do NOT take televisions. Hope they make sure their site and staff know this when people ask.
Marcos Gutierrez: Excellent place to shop and at the same time help. They just need to raise the level of the items; more order and discard those that are no longer in purchasing condition.
V S: Title: The Go-To Spot for Donations: The Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation CenterReview:Located at 1170 Mission Rd in South San Francisco, The Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation Center has become my preferred place for dropping off donations. From clothes to furniture and household items, they accept a wide range of goods, making it incredibly convenient for decluttering. The staff is always friendly and helpful, guiding you through the quick and easy donation process. And the best part? Knowing that the items you donate are going to be put to good use, either by being sold to support The Salvation Army's charitable programs or by going directly to those in need.If you have items to donate and you're in the South San Francisco area, I highly recommend this Salvation Army location. It's a straightforward way to give back to the community while also freeing up some space in your own home.Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5
