shige yagi: It is very convenient because it is open late and weekends too. It will print your auto registration on thicker thermal paper with your sticker on it.Be careful not to overheat your paper or it may get damaged or blackened.It only takes debit or credit card for payment and card processing fee of 1.75%will be added to your registration fee.If you have newer expenses car to renew, that fee will be a bit larger. To avoid that it will be better to go to DMV or AAA office and use check to pay for the fee.Overall, it's easy and convenient for renewal process. Besides auto renewal, you can renew your driver's license as well.

Francis Pang: I went here to register for my real ID. The staff is friendly when checking my document at the entrance. There is some waiting time before you are called. Other than all, it is business as usual. You provide your identify document, make the payment, take your photo and you are done.

Jacqueline Tona: My on line appointment didn't register, and I expected the worst. They got me in right away, they were nice, the woman who helped me with my real ID info was so helpful and really listened to me. And my ID showed up in 2 weeks!! I was so surprised, way to go DMV SF!!

Nothing has changed since the late 90's, including their computer systems.😅Be patient and be respectful and you'll get the same treatment back.Just a heads up, the DMV will be cutting down on staff and ID/DL and registration/sticker tags replacements and some other things will now be accessible via electronic kiosk.If you think the wait times are already long with a staffed DMV — just wait until you're behind someone at the kiosk who is computer illiterate.

T. “SHOWTIME” Terry: Can't get a bit hectic at times depending on what type of people are there but most of the workers are nice helpful and trying their best to get you in and out. Also it's a lot of the same faces who have been there for a while and know what they're doing
