Andrew Derocher: .The teaching is great with plenty of coaching available from the staff and your other cohort mates. The curriculum is very well thought out, and its apparent that they are always trying to improve on its structure. The weekly tests are high stakes, but all the tools for success are right there for you. Its not just the coding portion they help you with either. After graduating they have tons of weekly workshops for resumes, websites, practice interviews, practice tests... and they push you hard to apply for a lot of jobs and always practice and improve so you can get through interviews and stand out to employers.AppAcademy's goal is very clearly and unapologetically: to prepare you for a job in tech. If you can't handle 50-70 hour weeks, learning at breakneck speed, or if you can't pass a job interview, then this might not be for you. But if you are ready, willing, and able to work as hard as you ever have for 6 months straight, the rewards and opportunities for you are endless.I was literally working in a warehouse sweeping floors and running deliveries before I started the program. I was exceptionally motivated to pass, and after 6 months of school and about 500 job applications I now have a real career as a software developer at a fortune 500 company. This program is not cheap, but it is sooooo worth it. I can't recommend AppAcademy enough. It is quite literally life-changing.

Brendan Tsuda: I highly recommend App Academy if you are thinking of making a career change to software engineering! The instructors are second-to-none and do a great job of providing a learning experience that helps you learn to the best of your ability. The format and schedule of the bootcamp is great, allowing you to get daily experience pair programming projects with others as well as showcasing your own abilities through projects towards the end of the bootcamp. The space is nice and clean and is a great area to collaborate with your cohort mates and form a community. It is a rigorous bootcamp, so expect to spend at least 60 hours a week during the bootcamp and make sure you don't fall behind because they do not slow down. Ultimately, the job search is going to be the biggest challenge, especially in today's market, so be prepared for it to take at least 6 months. Nonetheless, the a/A community, including alumni and career team, are extremely helpful in helping you prepare to find opportunities.

Caroline Sarkki: App Academy changed my life. I went from no coding experience to a full stack software engineer! The program was one of the hardest things that I’ve ever done, but it was so worth it. I learned cutting edge tools and technologies that make me competitive in the field, gained amazing friends and colleagues, and I’m so happy that I decided to choose this program.

Hussein Eid: was excellent at teaching the fundamental of programming and helping me land my first software engineering job. Most importantly the amount of support I've gotten from App Academy even after graduating has been excellent, with alumni services and plenty of room for professional growth.App Academy really holds up its end of the deal of teaching software development and helping people get software engineering jobs, and I couldn't be more thankful.

Pamela Jane: The TAs and instructors are very helpful. And curriculum gets you making fun things right away.

Julie Adams: are so helpful, and I’m very happy to have made the choice to switch careers to software engineering with the help of App Academy. Their new location in San Francisco is so much nicer, too — no more the “industrial corporate prison” vibe of their old building.

Thomas Cheung: App Academy helped kick start my career as a Software Engineer. I attended the 4 month program and within a year I started my first software engineer position with a great company. App Academy helped further my SWE knowledge, build a great portfolio for the job search, and provided access to invaluable resources. I also met great individuals in the instructors and fellow students. The program was intensive and required a lot of hard work but it paid off.

Muzammil Chowdhury: Awesome experience

Abigail Montemayor: . You don't need prior coding knowledge

Christopher Oney: As both an alumni and former Jr. Instructional Assistant, I owe the start of my new web development career to this bootcamp. Attending App Academy was one of the best decisions I've ever made!

Zuhair Shaikh: Life changing, but requires more consistent effort than you've probably applied in your life. If you are considering a/A and you feel you can keep yourself focused for hours on end, go for it. It will pay off in spades.

Harsha Bandi: . Overall enjoyed the program and feel as though it prepared me well. The curriculum does facilitate your learning and help you pick up more skills on your own after your studies are done.Pros:- Really good instructors

Jae Doherty: I went to App Academy with no programming knowledge or experience, and App Academy taught me what I needed to get a web development job, and ultimately land a job at a dream company. Would recommend app academy to anyone who wants to make the career switch to software engineering.

Katerina Kreibich: I had a great experience with App Academy and would definitely recommend then to anyone that is looking to learn how to code or change their career. It makes a huge difference to go with a great bootcamp and I am so glad I chose them.

Dez Adkins: App Academy's fully immersive coding bootcamp has prepared me well for a career as a Full Stack Developer. The course is in-depth and extremely comprehensive.

Karen Siu: Loved my experience at App Academy. The instructors are top notch and truly care about the students. Despite it being a bootcamp, I felt like it was very comprehensive and fun. It is true that it will be most of your life while you're doing it full time for 4 months, but it's totally worth it!
