Stephanie Lawrence: As an alumni of Alta Mira, I recently took part in one of their weekend workshops. I was thoroughly impressed by the caliber of clinical work we completed in just two days. I was reminded of how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to seek treatment with them. I am also thankful to the compassionate and devoted staff who are dedicated to client recovery. I recommend Alta Mira to anyone seeking treatment.
Lydia Jones: I’m overwhelmed with gratitude as I’m writing this review. Alta Mira has gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome, comfortable, and supported while starting the long journey of sobriety. I can’t say enough. The therapists, staff, and accommodations are worth every penny. The food is also five star. This truly is a nurturing environment from ever angle. You will not be disappointed.Love and gratitude,- Grace
Becky D: From the get-go, Alta Mira exceeded our expectations. It was a worrisome process for our family trying to find a place for my cousin to recover from his drug addiction and his depression. The staff was so compassionate and informative. In an already traumatic time, they helped us through the process with patience and care. We learned a great deal during their 4 day family workshop when we visited the beautiful facility ourselves. I would love to stay there myself! Alta Mira has a full menu of treatment options far and beyond what the other treatment centers we looked into offered. He was able to benefit from the doctors, the therapists, the neuropsychological testing, and the multi day workshop intensives. They also have awesome options like massage, acupuncture, meditation, and adventure therapies. I truly believe that in order for one to heal, they must surrender to the methods being used by trained professionals. I can’t even count how many times my family gave into his rationalizations for his drug use. I was at my wit's end. I am so glad this time, it stuck. Alta Mira doesn't cater to the source of the addiction in such that they heavily medicate the person, quite the opposite! This had been a recurring problem when trying to get him help. Instead, the staff at Alta Mira helped him dive deep into himself and identify the past triggers that perpetuated his use and gave him tools and ways to circumvent his usual behavior that feeds his addiction. They worked with him to resolve his past trauma and to get to the core of why he became addicted. Four times a year they have a complimentary 2 day workshop for their alumni. My cousin keeps taking these workshops and learning from them. We are so, so grateful to have him back and in a position where he no longer has to suffer the same way again.
Rodney Harrison: This beautiful place saved my Life! End of story. World class services that give you the tools to truly change your life.
jl w: I recently returned from time at Alta Mira. When I entered treatment, I felt, at 63, that the best I could hope for was to outlive my cat. Today I feel optimistic and healthy. Ready to take on the future. The professionals with whom I worked ---- from the therapists to the doctors to the folks with whom the residents interact all day every day were highly qualified, deeply committed, and super communicative with the residents and with each other. This engendered an incredible sense of community on every level, one in which I experienced healing that changed my life.Like all institutions, it is necessarily a business that faces some challenges. I imagine there is no such thing as a perfectly run recovery program. But if clients are able to avail themselves of the resources offered -- if they are ready, maybe to do the work? -- the healing that is possible outweighs any challenges posed by the business end of things. At least in my view and experience.
Chris Miller: Alta Mira provides world class treatment for their clients

Marcel Blanco Valdes: . New Bridges and clients work for a common goal : Sobriety and Recovery. I was a client who is grateful for being a New Bridges"s client
Jonny Bacon: New Bridge Foundation saved my life. I don't like sounding like most, but there's no other words. My experience was amazing. I was finally ready to be helped. New bridge came thru my counselor let's call him Dan he came thru with flying colors. We dug in on issues that were not comfortable but needed to be addressed. If you really want to create a foundation to stay sober New Bridge was able to give the foundation to rebuild a new life. I've been clean since I left, no other treatment had ever given me that freedom. Trust this if nothing else, New Bridge helped me, a burned out addict for 20+ years. I was finally ready and New Bridge came thru. I will never forget what they did for me. Thank you! I love all of you. DK, JB, BC, JK, K, K, J, and nurses you saved my life. I will never forget any of you.
Aimee Harting: I went here in 2016, and although I had a few relapses after, it definitely stuck with me. Amazing place, I remember a guy named Jon he really stuck out to me. He really tried to keep checking in with me after I stopped showing up for the after care groups. This place definitely doesn’t teach Scientology like some reviews said, and was suboxone/Methadone friendly when I was there. Great program
Ben Garrett: This place is amazing and almost certainly saved my life. Unlike one review that I read, the staff is NOT fake. They are genuine, caring people who listened to me when I was struggling, talked me through my problems, and gave me the tools to stay clean to this day. I can almost guarantee that the people posting negative reviews here are those who left the program in order to go and continue to use, and they used the staff being ‘fake’ or some other label in order to justify their actions. Also, I cannot at all understand where the individual saying that they do not assist with mental health issues is coming from; the classes were not at all like he described, and they provide ample time for you to have one-on-one sessions with a counselor. I also cannot understand why one individual said they do not support suboxone; I knew many people who were on it there, and there was never an issue in regards to them taking it as part of their treatment. I can guarantee you that if you go through their program, stay until the end of your treatment, and actually partake in the program that they have set up for you, then you will leave understanding how truly wonderful a place New Bridge is.
Kayla Bentley: They saved my life! So great full for the stuff and I’m proud to say thank to them I have 18 months clean and I work at a rehab center myself! Here my updates I now have 2 years clean thanks to Newbridge they are the best thank you for everything

Hated it when I arrived a month after Jerry died, didn't want to leave at the end of 30 days. Still grateful for all they did for me. Mike was an incredible individual, many thanks forever
Linda Hess: Serenity Knolls is a great treatment center.I highly recommend it to you.Thank you.
Jeffrey Jones: An experience I’ll remember, which hasn’t always been normal for me.
Patricia O'Neal: Brilliant experience I didn't want to leave. Everyone there really cares and interacted with me even if not my counselor or therapist. All staff even chefs were brilliant and would give me my wee dinner. My fellow citizens were and are my family and most have joined me on Fairfax meeting.
Suzanne Chow: Overall my experience was good.
Marcos Sandoval: This is truly a place that makes the difference in a recovery program. The staff is exceptional along with the information provided to educate a person in recovery. I would give it 10 stars if possible but google only has 5. Thank you SK for giving my life back.
Gina Reed: If I could give them 10 stars I would! I am happy that I chose Serenity Knolls when I was ready to get sober. Their facility exceeded all of my expectations. All the staff members, the groups, the speakers, the accommodations, the food, the location,, everything was above par. They provide you with the tools you will need to stay sober after you leave. From the moment I walked in, I felt safe, comfortable and welcomed. There is a real sense of community, which is so important in first 30 days of sobriety. And they offer FREE aftercare for ever! What a beautiful place to get sober!
Missy Riley: Serenity Knolls is a magical place. The location, amenities and more importantly the staff are top notch. I feel extremely blessed to have gone through treatment there and will forever be grateful.
Meghan Elizabeth Dunn: Serenity Knolls not only helped me but helped my family, and treated us like theirs. The staff all carried the humility and authority of their own experience, and with a willingness and a heart to bear witness to the stories of all as threads in the one overarching narrative of mankind—both heartbreaking and beautiful—rising above the tribulation of the world into a new consciousness of Spirit. Serenity Knolls has been an embodiment in my life of what I would expect anyone would hope church to be—a universal home; uplifting, comforting, and healing the heart. It is no small matter that they maintain programs for all alumni to return to, and it has been a lifeline and a rock and a bright light for me throughout the 11 years now since I have been clean and sober, especially for me the bi-weekly program that includes family participation. Ongoing contact with the mental health professionals connected with Serenity Knolls were also a life line for me. A family member who had never met the psychologist I was seeing knew her by name, and counted her as family for the great importance she’s had in my life. In great challenges that have arisen since, my family has continued to demonstrate together more of what we learned at Serenity Knolls—to be there for each other with honesty, and without fear. My debt of gratitude for what was given to me and to us there continues to light my way.
Natalie Garcia: Had some ups and downs with certain staff members, but overall this place is great , genuinely feel that the staff "gets it" and are empathetic. As well as very caring but will put u in ur place and ground you. What a beautiful place to work on sobriety nothing beats that view from hill house, setting is a big help, great food, it's nice that after 30 days they incorporate new things..one suggestion. is for people staying even longer have an expansion of that. anyways it's a very special place great after care program.
