Alexander Rode: . Also there were some celebrations from nearby retreats that caused a bit of noise in the evenings, but this was nobody's fault.Great: 3 teachers

Vivian Wang: Positive:QualityThe teachers at Satori Yoga are amazing. You can tell they put in time to offer high quality classes that leave the students wanting more!

P Taylor: Excellent vinyasa class with Jennie Hayes. Clean and quiet studio, I will definitely go back!

Jeremy Emmerson: Great place to practice. Good mix of yoga and meditation!! Felt welcome as an out of town yogi!

Samira Imanian: Nice yoga studio tucked away in FiDi - not the newest or most outside sound-proof of facilities, but the classes make up for it! One larger studio and one smaller one that is also used for meditation, bathrooms and changing rooms, and it also looks like a massage therapy room as well. Great teachers with plenty of different styles of yoga. I have tried the alignment and regular vinyasa and yoga tune up so far and have been pleased. They have all the supplies that you need for the class complimentary and can rent a mat for $2.

Loriana Di Gino: I found Satori because I work close-by and a colleague introduced me to the studio. I absolutely love Jennie's class. Her classes are always challenging and she encourages you to push harder each week. I also love that she starts by talking a little bit about astrology. I now go at least once a week!

Lisa Johnson: Really love the challenging classes and flow. Not too much fluff. Not over the top with a boat load of products they are selling. Just straight up good yoga.So happy I work close by!

Kandace Espinosa: I am so thrilled to have found Satori! They offer so many time options that I can always make it to a class. Pricing is very reasonable. Its very convenient if you work in, or near, the financial district. And the teachers are top-notch. I would describe Satori as more true to yoga than the other "fitness" focused locations around the area. My favorite teacher is Rea Zambo. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the practice which is apparent in her instruction, and her warm & welcoming personality keeps me going back. I always leave her classes feeling uplifted.

Ilaria: I was in San Francisco for a couple of days and I purchased a trial package. I had a wonderful time. The school is well organised and offers classes to all levels, at any time of the day. Teachers are professionals. The atmosphere is very relaxing.

ioanna tziri: Great friendly zen place. Loved all classes I have taken so far. Thank you!

Rikki Hu: . I am a beginner myself, but can already say that this studio has increased my love for yoga tremendously.

Kristina G: Lovely studio in the FiDi with a schedule that works perfectly for busy professionals. Satori also impressed me with the variety of classes from meditation to power yoga, there’s something for everyone and every practice. Highly recommend this studio!

Colorado Reed: The ceiling in the "big room" is beautiful and calming.

Corina Gomez: I started Yoga at this studio, I love yoga because of Satori.

Clay Moran: Class itself was great. Studio itself is a beautiful space. Had a small problem with a cancelled class and refund, which was then followed up and reconciled.

Will Smith: The facility itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with a serene atmosphere that makes every visit enjoyable. The variety of classes available ensures there's something for everyone, whether you're looking to build strength, improve flexibility, or find mental clarity through yoga. The sense of community here is truly special. Everyone, from the staff to the members, is supportive and encouraging, creating a welcoming environment that motivates you to keep coming back. I've noticed significant improvements in my physical fitness, mental health, and overall lifestyle since joining. If you're seeking a place that offers comprehensive fitness and wellness solutions in a supportive setting, this is the place for you!

Iman Bashir: Everything you could ask for in a gym! Love Billy and Erica. I was going every day while I was in SF. They have everything from yoga to chiro after training sessions. They cater to you and your timing and offer so much flexibility. Not to mention the latest equipment and floors of different spaces.

Garley Leon: I have been coming to this gym for approximately 6 weeks for their Transformation Challenge and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. They have a small group of fitness instructors that have a true passion for coaching and they have done an immense job in correcting my form so that my workouts are optimal. The nutritional aspect of this challenge has been exceptional and has played an immense role in my health and wellness journey. Prior to coming I did not know what macros were and how the balance was so essential. This is what I have enjoyed most about this gym - being able to talk to someone for nutrition coaching and having people you can be accountable to. They truly walk you through all the steps. I will be continuing with this gym for the foreseeable future.

Casey Madden: Loved working with Tribe! I was looking for something that combined a nutritionist with personal training and this fit the bill. I did semi-private training 3x a week for 3 months, working out with 3 other people each time which I preferred to my own trainer. All of the trainers have their own styles and energy, so I learned new tips each week. I had amazing results, even with a back problem that severely hindered my mobility, and learned how to modify the exercises to be comfortable and effective. I only ended my time since I moved out of SF, and I miss the wonderful crew!

Pat Griffith: Doing the 6 week program really helped to kickstart me back into regular exercise again.Having the accountability and nutrition coaching makes a big difference. Tribe also has a good online library so you workout at home of you need to.Nick and his team are really invested in your progress.

Jeff Simnick: I really enjoyed and would recommend the 6-Week Transformation Challenge at Tribe Fitness! The group classes combined with nutrition/diet coaching led to impressive results for me. And the classes, teachers, and other attendees have a great environment/community going. Ultimately, their location was too far for me to sign up full time, but I look forward to if/when they open new locations!

Alyse Nichols: . But the best part about the challenge was the community it brought. Like minded people who are working toward health and fitness goals together who, despite their goals not all necessarily being the same, cheer each other on through successes and setbacks. It’s a beautiful thing to witness and even more beautiful to be a part of. So if you’re looking for any of this, look no further. Come join us! #tribe

Jacquelyn Nguyen: and witnessed a significant drop of 2.7% in body fat percentage relative to total weight. What's more, I gained 3.1 lbs of muscle, a 5.7% increase, and saw my BMI decrease by 0.8

Janine Nave: This is an amazing place to work out and make friends♥️. I am so much stronger than when I walked in their door for the 6 week challenge! My waist- snatched, my turkey neck- snatched, my thighs- can crush dreams. 35 lbs down!! They have amazing group classes with fun and helpful coaches that have really help me reach my fitness goals.

serghio munoz: Hand down the best fitness and wellness studio in San Francisco 🔥.

Davita Burnett: Tribe is a welcoming place to feel comfortable with where you’re at in your fitness journey. I was very nervous about trying it like was I going to follow through with it and I completed the 6week challenge. The coach’s there are amazing very hands on and engaging and a boost of energy and fun. The class goes by fast with the music, interacting and motivating each other.

Royal Joker: 100% happy with my experience at Tribe. Fantastic trainers, great vibe. I dropped 30 pounds in 6 weeks. Couldn’t be happier with the results!!! Highly recommend.

Vincent Nel: The first thing you should know is that I generally hate the gym and any kind of exercise. But somehow Tribe SF is so good at what they do that I signed up for a 6-week transformation program and here I am one year later, attending classes regularly and actually loving it. Go figure. Props to Billy, Nick, Quinn and Georgio for creating a space that's nonjudgmental, a program that's enjoyable, and a lifestyle that's attainable.

Melika Eslamjou: Five stars is an understatement!!I’ve been working out for a very long time and when I moved to SF two years ago, I tried so many gyms and fitness classes in the city. I felt like I was spending a lot of time and energy but not seeing results and achieving my goals. This is the first time I can say I have a well structured program that is doing exactly what I want.I get so excited for classes every week. I feel stronger, happier and seeing changes. Everyone in the team is so knowledgeable and supportive; always helping me with my form, pushing me to lift heavier when they know it’s the right time and guiding me with all my nutrition questions. What sets them apart is their commitment to creating personalized plans and supporting each individual to the best way possible.Highly recommend to anyone looking to transform their body and optimize their lifestyle. 100% worth it!!

Jerry Adamson: LOVE THESE GUYS! LOVE TRIBE!!!

Jocelyn Garcia: Very thorough and truly felt cared for. Overall great experience and look forward to future appointments!

Ashwini Ramamoorthy: Tribe Fitness has been amazing for my fitness journey. Before I joined Tribe, I struggled to work out consistently and I didn’t see sustainable results from the diets and workouts I tried. I had experienced back pain from lifting incorrectly in the past so I was nervous about lifting weights.Tribe helped me learn about nutrition, exercising with the correct form, and really helped with staying accountable. The coaching staff are super friendly and make it accessible for people who are new to working out. I could build a routine that feels sustainable, and I’m much healthier and stronger now. If you’re looking for a new gym in 2024, this is the one!

Jose Miguel Colella: . I was impressed to see that strength and conditioning workouts that Tribe was providing was helping me with my running more than running more would have.

Vera L Arias: Amazing first time back to yoga with Nicole yesterday, Yoga 101 💖 Extremely smart, knowledgeable instructor with a very intimate ritual/ intuitive nature. Inclusivity at its finest. Was very intimated coming in as a very body self conscious, POC, gay, identify butch woman. And even got to touch hands with my partner during our long poses . It’s almost like she knew. Nicole made it so easy to feel included and beautiful in so many ways. Definitely going to keep coming back for more. Thank you!

Alexander Weingart: Been going here for 2 years, and I love it - great mix of vinyasa and hatha yoga, and also fitness classes. Especially recommend Christie, Anna, and Martin!

Colin Garcia: Loved this studio space and the teachers. Definitely coming back.

Sakura Rapolu: Great place for yoga! Love the classes

Rachel Forbes: I love Roy, Brynn and Jenna at this Folk location. Nice studio spaces, good range of classes.

Miguel Martínez: Great yoga studio. They always make me feel welcome and the variety of classes is so convenient. I love the way they make everyone feel welcome regardless of their level of practice.

Jenny Wang: Really enjoyed flow and restore! Space is so cute. It’s a three floor house. Class was exactly what I needed to stretch myself out and restore my body from traveling, sitting at a desk and working out. First class is $15.

Julia Partlow: Great yoga studio with great teachers! The NOPA studio is my favorite of the ones I’ve been to, but I’ve gone to the sunset and the Richmond one as well and they are both really nice. Feels nice to support a local yoga studio!

Luci Laffitte: This yoga studio has a beautiful relaxing garden and is in lovely Victorian house. My favorite teachers are Ryan Gerard and Daniela Rizza. Daniela’s classes are thoughtful… the flows are creative and build towards a more challenging pose. Ryan brings a friendly energy and provides very clear alignment cues for every pose that make me feel confident that I’m in a position that is productive and safe for my body. Thank you! 🙌🏻

NED: All of the classes are great, but I love Alex’s hot yoga, Pilates, and HIIT!

Thip R: The best studio in the city.

Sakura Lim: , and Laura frequently and they are always amazing! The heat also adds a whole nother dimension. I always leave feeling so much stronger ~ both mentally and physically. Really appreciate all the instructors and this Body Temp Yoga community I just wish there were HIIT classes offered in the afternoon

Yvette Pasco: BEST yoga studio in the Marina!Rikk & Alexadra are my amazing60 minute E-Kram instructors 3-4 times a week however I look forward to every Sunday alinement, better than rolling class. This is a MUST, for everyBodies alignment❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Never to young to practice,Never to old to start!Thank You Chadd, Rikk & Alexadra for helping me with my unpredictable invisible MS illness, of 19 years.I’m especially grateful this beautiful studio encourages my son, now 22 with his practice, when home from college..#🙏🏻Thank you BodyTempYoga for an amazing, inspiring community.Yvette Pasco

Julia Clavien: Excellent teachers and hot heat!

Lauren Chinn: was very nice and soothing. The one thing is that Kristine's instructions went a tad fast for me to really keep up since I'm a beginner and not used to moving my body around in this way. Krstine did give a lot of verbal instructions guiding us to explain each thing and that was nice though. I also appreciate that modifications were given for the more difficult poses so you could choose depending on what would feel better for your body. I'm sure if I came to a second class I would be better at following!

Minnie Chen: Hottest yoga studio in SF, literally! Way hotter va core power, definitely a great detox for the body, mind and spirit. Chadd, the owner is super friendly and helpful, he’ll let you sneak in even if you’re a few minutes late. Much appreciated esp with traffic and parking In the Marina!

surabhi dholakia: I love Body Temp Yoga! I have being going here for a few months now and have tried all the instructors. Each instructor here has a unique approach and I feel like I learn something new in every class. The instructors truly care about people and the practice of yoga. This is my one hour of self-care. I cannot recommend the class enough!

Leah Okrainsky: Great classes!! Lots of variety and very accessible for all.

Dora Flowers: class, you must do it here!

Joe Watson: , the studio is big. The instructors are amazing. Especially Body Temp Yoga is the best!

Brett: Best studio. Best instructors. Best vibe.

Philippe Arbeit: Great studio with beautiful mirrors and hardwood floor, the teachers are all different and very engaged, excellent. Gets sometimes a little packed, but nice atmosphere!

Matt Dalley: We were traveling in SF last weekend and dropped in for a class. It was great and Maria at the front desk was awesome!! Will definitely go again next time I'm in town.

Jessica Altchiler: I had a wonderful experience taking Annie Carpenter's class. I was initially worried when I walked into a very crowded lobby followed by a completely packed classroom, but quickly realized this was a close community with a wonderful leader in front of the room. Annie led us through a thoughtful, empowering, challenging class. I also LOVE that the class was one and a half hours whereas most yoga classes are only one hour. It was an intense and inspiring class and if I wasn't just visiting from out of town, I would have definitely gone back!

Kirby Koo: Great teachers, lots of class options, and it’s CLEAN. Lots of yoga studios smell like sweat, BO or mildew, this place is tidy and very well-managed. I also love that it’s not insanely crowded and I don’t have to fight for a spot. Rather, the atmosphere is very inviting.

Chenyu Zheng: Clean, peaceful and spacious. Sunday 9am class with Annie carpenter cannot be missed. She is famous in yoga world and more importantly, she teaches alignment and reasons behind where to put your block etc. Prevent injury and build strength.

Martin Michlmayr: . So lovely to join a few classes while visiting with family close by.

Geoff Watson: and the class, which was Vinyasa Levels 2-3. Although not a heated class, it very much felt that way to me. While I struggled a fair amount holding some of the poses, the class was overall enjoyable. The space is generally relaxing, except when random vehicles driving by insist on blasting loud music. *shrug* Some things can't be helped. I will probably return.

Shibo Fang: , and the instructors I've had are all great. Everyone offers adjustments

Angela Trinh: The area is spacious, and feels well-lit. It's kept clean. I love the occasional tea I partake in after class to complete my ritual and extend my contemplative state from class. I like that there is a smaller room and a larger room.

susan clancy: I like the layout of the space and its brightness. Also, there is a great variety of really great teachers & yoga styles offered on site. It also smells really nice as soon as one starts to ascend the stairs.

Jesse Langham: Really big studios with places to meditate before class

Michael Maslaney: Great instructors; intimate class settings.

Allison Schentrup: I love the sitting area in the back of this space. It gives this particular studio so much warmth and comfort that I don't find in the others I also like that there are two studios with two different types of classes going on at once. It gives some nice variety to the options available at my preferred times.

Tanmay Chordia: , I leave each class feeling amazing. My body and mind feel dramatically better all throughout the day. This dramatic improvement would have been impossible without their dedicated guidance and effort.I don’t think I could have asked for a better experience. The music and vibe of the place is also amazing. Thanks so much Gary and Steve!

Sandrine Calabria: This is true yoga. Everything else out there is a circus.

Jeena James: During my visit to SF, I was happy to find a Asta Yoga offering Ashtanga practice and went for their classes. I really enjoyed the practice and highly recommend SF locals and travelers to check it out. The Studio is very well maintained and was extremely neat and clean. Also, there was ample space for everyone to practice. Steve is an excellent teacher and makes the entire studio and the yoga experience a very welcoming experience. It's very hard to find good Asthanga practitioners around, and I'm so glad Asta Yoga provides these classes and guide the students through! Thank you! I'll keep coming back here whenever I'm in town!

Alex C: I’ve been studio-hopping across the city until I found the gem that is Asta. Steve and Gary are experienced yogi practitioners and teachers, and I love practicing in this welcoming space with many friendly yogis.Asta has helped me deepen my yoga practice over the years. The style of yoga is Ashtanga-based, which is a traditional practice that has been around for decades — not one of those fitness fads that come and go! I highly recommend that you check this place out!

Rona Z Silkiss MD FACS: Gary and Steve are expert yoga teachers- kind, patient, thoughtful. Asta is a sanctuary for all levels of practitioners seeking a community of dedicated yogis.

Jacqueline C: Gary da goat

Ana Rivero: What a lovely & unpretentious place. I loved getting yoga classes here. This place is a gem!

Anastasiia Myers: Best yoga studio across the world

E BVD: join da crew of rocket heads.

Xiafei: The best yoga studio

Patsi Schenkkan: Excellent teachers - great practice for beginners and experienced yogis alike. Gracious and friendly atmosphere.

Anastasiia Stu: I am so happy I discovered this studio. I did ashtanga with the teacher before, but I never went to the school that is all ashtanga orientated. It’s exactly what I need right now - the structure, and the monitoring of my own progress through the practice. Plus I like to experience slightly different approach from each instructor.Thank you, Ashta Yoga.Light in me seeing light in you🙏

Royd Chung: Great instruction, and beautiful space with an amazing view!

Alexis Frank: Mission space is beautiful with a view. Was impressed by the technical, creative and very high quality teaching.

Michael Duarte: The Vinyasa Yoga class with Jeremy Falk was very engaging. I felt great during and after the class.

Brittany Dominix: On a recent trip through San Francisco to My Shasta for training I went searching for the possibility of catching a class with Janet Stone. Luckily she was in town and teaching the Monday before and after training at Haum Mission Studio. I immediately booked my place in the two classes, not knowing what to expect from the studio itself. I was pleasantly surprised. From the moment I walked through the door I felt at home. I was immediately Welcomed and taken care of by the front desk staff. I could feel their care and desire to welcome me into their community of only for one class. The room was light filled from all of the natural light pouring through the many many windows. And the hardwood floors… just wow. A cozy, welcoming and.comfortable environment and community to come practice, just as you are. I will continue to bring myself and my practice to Haum anytime I pass through SF in the future. Thank you Haum. Grateful our paths have crossed. 😊❤️

Vicky C: This studio is absolutely beautiful! It’s in the 5th floor at this building at 16th and mission so it’s super convenient! I went to a Saturday morning class and there seemed to be a strong community there too. The front desk folks were super nice and helpful too! Definitely looking forward to coming back.

Jeremy: with the sun rising over the city. Would highly recommended experiencing it for yourself. All the teachers were amazing. I will definitely be doing more yoga here!

Jessica Hout-Freeman: This was the first yoga studio I ever went to back in 2006 when it was Yoga to The People. I was overjoyed when I learned that it is now HAUM, an inclusive yoga haven with the same breathtaking views of the city. I’ve come to 2 classes now taught by the lovely Ki and have been pleased by the experience from start to finish. Welcoming instructors, wonderful yogis, beautiful art, and calming/peaceful/energizing vibes! I look forward to attending a future workshop and trying their Haight Ashbury location too!

Chris Denoia: Phenomenal classes and great community. In 2 week trial, I attended classes from Janet Stone, Nat Kendall, and Jeremey Folk. All were unique and amazing.Bonus: meeting new people each class.

Nina Serr: Amazing class with great lighting & lots of time for stretching and breathing practice.

Alexis Evangelista: The studio here is absolutely beautiful! It had a stunning view and lots of space. The main issue I had would be figuring out how to get in, the area isn't the safest and there isn't clear instructions provided for entering the building. Otherwise, class was great and I do think that it's more for those who have a little more experience as there wasn't a lot of modifications offered.

ava ray: I signed up for Haum while visiting family in SF for two weeks and it was incredible. I loved every class. The studio is beautiful and the teachers are great. I can't wait to visit again!

Yuko Fujii: It is amazing beautiful place for Yoga!Gorgeous view!Super cool vibe! And instructor is talented amazing also. Would love to come back!

Mariel Andrea Aquino: lovely class experience with a beautiful view! be prepared for lots and lots of stairs, and a winding path to the space

Sanuja Das: Best place for a sunset yoga class!

Robin Osekowsky: Beautiful studio space and a really positive community vibe! The flows are a little nonstandard which gets you to push yourself more than you’re used to and try some new ways to move. Will definitely be back

Reigna Johnson: This space is BEAUTIFUL. I was a little skeptical coming into the old building because the area seems a little rough and you have to climb the stairs to the very top floor. But once you hit the top floor, it is unbelievable beautiful. The space is unique, warm, and gorgeous! One of the prettiest studios I’ve been to. The instructor was amazing and the experience overall was very positive. Highly recommend. Definitely a hidden gem.

Ana Carolina Oliveira: and beautiful view!

Birgit Woetzl: Love the gorgeous space! The teachers are super welcoming, encouraging for connections and I love that you get both: yoga and some form of chanting, kirtan, meditation, loud music to stay pumped staying in the postures, etc. Great job to build the vibe.

Nate Truman: I'm new to yoga, and every class that I've been to thus far has been fantastic. It's a welcoming environment that takes its yoga practice seriously, but manages to not be off-putting to the uninitiated & novices amongst us. Thus far, I've only been to Wylie and Gudrun's classes, and both were wonderful.

Bo: . Only reason I am giving 4 stars is I get the distinct smell of mold in the studio. Best guess is mold might be starting to form underneath the padded foam flooring. Im rather sensitive to mold and can usually detect it quickly in a space. Id encourage the staff to please check and see if this hunch is correct.

Andrew S Klug (ASK): This yoga studio in the magical Presidio of San Francisco offers an incredible flavor of yoga that is wholesome, spiritually validating, and at the same time athletically challenging. Moreover, it is the home of a very special community that I am grateful for.

Emmanuel Massenez: love it

S L: Best yoga studio in the city!

Mickey Hardt: Dropped in for a 90 minute power class with Jennifer. She was an exquisite teacher, the class was incredible. Consistent energy yet well balanced. Creative and challenging yet approachable and flexible to each participant. Would highly recommend!

Shauna Graham: I had been seeking for an alternative studio in the Marina area when I stumbled onto this hidden treasure. I had some reservations about going at first, but in the end I decided to attend, and when I got there, I was really taken aback by how amazing the direct flow was and how immaculate the studio is. Although it seemed more like ashtanga than vinyasa, I really loved it and would definitely go there again in the future.

Amber Ovalle: In 2018 a friend asked me to join her at BYSF. I was not a regular yogi practitioner by any means, but the Baptiste methodology, a 60 min practice rooted in finding your edge and learning to breathe through it, is exhilarating. It’s a diverse community, women & men of all ages and levels all coming together to practice a moving meditation of challenging power yoga. I am forever grateful to have found this studio and know how magical it is to find your tribe. Be a yes, check it out, and be ready to grow through flow!

Violet Mason: Very friendly staff and great facility. Thank you Baptiste Yoga San Francisco, and Peyton for helping me out!

Brandon Sommers: Best yoga studio in the area. The teachers and owners are so passionate and friendly about all things yoga, as well as just getting to know me as a person, without talking about yoga. The classes are challenging, and in the best way. There is something different happening in this studio from others I’ve been to. I can’t even put my finger on it. It’s an experience, to say the least. I’d highly recommend anyone to check this place out, to see for yourself the experience I’m speaking to.

Nayha Dixit: . I miss this place every day.

Mike Kowalczyk: Sean and Jen have done an amazing job of attracting a team of teachers who are very much like themselves: kind, generous, humble and inspiring. The studio is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The community is inter-generational and from all walks of life. The best studio I've been to in 20+ years in SF.

Maria Pitkanen: This is a beautiful studio, highly recommend a visit if you like heated yoga.

micha kenneally: Never really got into yoga until coming here. The facility is clean and well managed. The instructors are great- positive, encouraging and enthusiastic. Baptiste a very specific flow sequence that’s challenging and more advanced. I always come out feeling balanced and renewed, not to mention sweaty!

David Rachford: I attended a workshop here and was impressed by the facility; lockers are available, showers, they even had bags available for sweaty laundry post practice. On the Sundays during the spring/summer, the studio is close to a picnic area where food trucks come in; for a good family day hang.Right in the Presidio; the studio is great for a hot yoga practice, and the teachers are well trained and courteous.

Theory: Yin Yoga w Alyssa is pure bliss as she expertly guides the class through multiple variations of poses to enable you to determine the best for your body to melt into, relax, and work the pliability of those tissues. As someone who needs to give the connective tissue, ligaments & fascia extra love - Yin Yoga delivers! I dance 2-3 times a week, and always hold tension in my hip flexors. After one class of Yin Yoga I noticed a difference in hip tension and an improved ability to raise my legs and move my body differently in my next dance class. Amazing! Thank you!

안지숙: I'm using the 30-day trial version and it's great. It was my first time doing hot yoga, so it was difficult, but I loved it.

Kristen Hall: I’ve been going here for two years and I love it. Brian is great, the vibe is great, and the people are super friendly. It’s bikram but not super hot. Brian can modify all his poses for any injury, and really understands body mechanics. My posture, overall strength, endurance, and flexibility have all improved a LOT. I also do his strength training which was the key to take my fitness to the next level. I can’t recommend Body Tonic enough.

Amily He: Brian is what made myself and my husband sticking to yoga. He gives you individual attention unlike other group yoga classes where you are just going with the flow.

Joanna Sheridan: Body tonic sf has changed my life. My energy level, flexibility and strength have improved dramatically since I committed to classes with Brian.

Dylan Lake: I can’t recommend Brian’s classes enough. I joined about a year and a half ago after a similarly long break from fitness and it’s been transformative. Brian gets you to perform at a high level of effort, day after day, and leave happy. I have never gotten so much personal attention and adjustments from a yoga instructor, and as a result my posture, flexibility, and general energy are as good as they've ever been. I understand and am more in touch with my body than any time in the 30+ years before this. Brian meets you where you are at, and as a man who has always enjoyed yoga but struggled with flexibility, that has allowed me to get into postures I had never done correctly before and truly progress every week. Highly, highly recommend this studio if you are committed to changing your life.

kuan cheng: studio where the instructor circulates the room and helps me with my poses, rather than just doing his own practice himself from the front of the room.this is a game-changer for me and makes me get sooooo much more out of class than when i go to classes that feel basically like doing youtube yoga in-person.this also makes it super motivating to go to class, since you know you'll be getting personalized help & attention there.brian is very knowledgeable and caring, and absolutely makes you feel like a priority.

Liza de Vries: how to walk correctly. Through wisdom, kindness, and humor Brian has moved my body and mind into a place where healing has already begun. I am so grateful. Thank you.

Tony Howard: I’ve been practicing regularly 2-3 times a week with Brian at Body Tonic for close to 3 years now and having been a former Bikram practitioner, appreciate his focus on form over heat. Temperature of his practice is much more conducive to pushing your poses without overdoing it. At 54 years of age my form and flexibility have gone next level since working with him and Sarah and the reasonable class size allows for more personalized and constructive guidance. Studio is always clean and it’s a convenient location between Van Ness and Franklin. Highly Recommend!

Julie Butenko: I recently had the pleasure of attending classes at Body Tonic SF yoga studio and I must say, it was an excellent experience. The classes cater to different levels and preferences.Brian is not only a skilled yoga practitioner, but also an attentive instructor. He is always there to guide and correct my posture, ensuring that I was getting the most out of each pose. His attention to detail and personalized approach made me feel supported and encouraged throughout the class. What I really enjoyed about Body Tonic SF was the element of fun that was infused into the classes. While the focus is on yoga and improving flexibility and strength, the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. There is a sense of community and camaraderie among the participants, which added to the overall positive experience. If you're looking for a yoga studio that offers excellent classes with an attentive instructor like Brian, and where you can have some fun while improving your practice, I highly recommend Body Tonic SF.

Christina Salani: I joined this studio about 6 months ago and I can’t say enough good things about my experiences. I love how devoted Brian is to teaching. He has helped me understand my poses better than anyone else has done in the 20+years I’ve been doing yoga. I also love the differences in teaching in Sarah’s class.. she adds more core instruction and her knowledge and instruction in yoga helps me keep my focus on my body and my breath. One of the main reasons I joined this gym was because it also offered a lift class. This is a whole body workout that is centered around the core. I have learned so much about my body in this class definitely found muscles in my core that I didn’t know existed. This place offers the whole package for getting in shape the right way. I’m loving my transformation so far and excited to see what the future brings!

Henry Bridges: Spacious dry-heat studio with instructors who are knowledgeable and generously provide specific posture advice..

calumadair1989: Game changer

Lisa James: One of the best yoga studios in CA. Heated perfectly. Gorgeous, clean studio. Outstanding instructors.

Jennifer: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityCYC is amazing! From great communication to an Awesome class. Karen was my instructor for my first class and she is warm, caring, positive and motivating. Her energy is calming and welcoming. I highly recommend California Yoga Company.

Justin Glier: Brian,I have been buying "first timer offer" packages in every yoga studio nearby for the past two years. Yours was the best. Thank you for helping me. Now that I have decided to become a yoga instructor, I will rely on you as an inspiration because of your excellent sequence of postures and knowledge of proper, helpful form. Thanks for that.Kind regards,JustinP.S. My bike ride from Washington D.C. to San Francisco in 2019 was incredible. May have booped a coyote.

Bar Golan: Wow just a great space thank you

Polarity Therapy Institute: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThis space is awesome; we rented it for a 4-day training and it perfectly suited our needs. Tankut the owner was super helpful and easy to interact with. I would definitely recommend it!

Melanie Lennon: and very clean! The only issue is the parking around the area so I recommend you take a lyft or show up early to find a place to park. Highly recommend this place - it’s a true hidden gem.

Wesley Cabral: Amazing space to rent for classes and groups! I love working with them

Dylan Earth: I taught a Human Design Workshop at Tantara and was welcomed to a beautiful space that felt like home. It was an easy, straightforward and smooth experience that allowed me to focus on what I do best without being hindered with too much unnecessary detail or frivolous concerns. My guests felt welcomed with open arms and the energy was lively, cordial and genuine, which made the experience one not soon forgotten. Thanks for hosting me and my brand in the best possible way. Will return soon!

Alexis Stricker: Love this space!

Alejandra Piedra: Tantara is wonderful. I have used the space to offer private Integrative Physical Therapy sessions in individual or small group settings. I like that the studio has a nice warmth to it and that I can use the different props it features to create personalized interventions to my clients. Additionally, the communication with the owners is very efficient and pleasant, wich makes the logistics very smooth. Thank you for holding this beautiful space for all of us who enjoy it!

Jaime Moore: . I highly recommend this space. The owner is also a wonderful human, very welcoming and caring.

SHIHO: I really liked the place . Because the place is very clean , very convenient from Bart stations and Bus stations , too .The owner is very friendly and also the teachers who use the place are very nice too .You don’t have to bring yoga matters and other stuff too.The place make you feel relax and you will forget about the city even you are at the downtown! You should check it out !! You will love it !!!

Jeanne Floresca: I love working with my clients at Tantara; the atmosphere is perfect for mindful activities. As a healer, it's important that my clients feel safe and at ease and the energy at Tantara is always peaceful and inviting. Thanks Tankut and Inesa for sharing your space with us!

Patricio Triveri: Wonderful and challenging yoga class!

anne yogini: I am a yoga instructor who rented Tantara on a regular basis for over a year. It is a little hidden gem that makes San Francisco so special. It is perfect for personal and smaller classes. It is easily accessible with public transit and from downtown. I recommend.

Nina sf: Great spot...Wonderful people...Just love this place!A true hidden gem.

TourMega Support: What to say about Tantara? I just LOVE it!I've been going to Tantara since it's opening and always had a great experience. I was totally against yoga until taking a class with a friend there. Since then, I became a yoga addict. The owner, Tankut, is adorable and genuinely care for people. He always greets you warmly with a nice smile. What I like about Tantara, it's not, the usual crowd yoga studio with funky smells. The place is really nice, quite and clean. My favorite time is at night when they light the candles. They have a separated Turkish lounge area where you can rest and have some nice tea. The big plus is the bathroom with shower, as you know it's often an issue for yoga Studio. I like also the fact that they have guest teachers coming from all around the world, with different approach and style of yoga. The place is easy to access and safe. I usually walk to get there as a little warm-up. It's walking from Russian Hill, Nob Hill, North Beach, Chinatown, Financial District, Downtown. Few buses are passing by so if you are not living in the area you can still catch a late bus. They also organized social events, fundraising for charities. I went a couple time to Christmas pop-up series and got myself a scarf and a bracelet handmade by Turkish artisans. There is so much to say about this place, therefore, I invite you to discover it on your own.Namaste!

Tugce Tuncay: This is the place to go to if you want a break from the city life in SF. The environment is relaxing and very calming. Can't wait to be back!!

Burchin Kurkcuoglu: If you’re in SF, this place is a must go! Perfect for relaxing your mind while stretching your body!

Juliet Shelton: I love The Pad! The studio space itself is so lovely and the classes are incredible. The teachers are all so knowledgeable and kind. Always an amazing experience. Grateful for The Pad!!

Roohi Ebrahim: . But honestly what I love most about practicing at the pad is that I feel like I’m part of a community and I’ve made some meaningful connections through the Pad.

Heather Sweeney: Have been going to the pad for years! Great classes and good options for before/after work during the week. A nice variety of instructors, always clean, and lots of props. The prenatal classes have been excellent!

Sue Hu: What a beautiful space to practice yoga. The teachers are kind and talented; the community warm and inviting; and I especially love the unique offerings like restorative yoga with sound bath.

laura williams: Amazing studio! Great teachers!

Elizabeth Feldman: Amazing instructors and community!

Natalie Belyea: I love this studio! Great variety of classes. So happy to have stumbled upon it!

Noa Elliott: SUCH a nice place to take a fun, approachable class. I have been going for about a month, but I have never felt like a new person sneaking in. It was never cliquey or annoying, and the yoga is good. Also, the teachers each bring a unique thing to their classes, so its nice to both have access to variety and pick some favorites.

Emilia Shelton: Great classes and beautiful studio space. The Restorative Flow and Sound Healing class is the perfect way to spend a Sunday evening.

Mahwash Bhimjee: My favorite studio in SF. Such a calm environment and really good teachers. I love that this studio offers classes outside of power yoga. Their slow flow with sound meditation on Sundays is amazing and I love their yin yoga too!

Crystalle Jacobo: I have been taking Chandra’s prenatal yoga class on Wednesdays and I find it invaluable! I have since moved further away, but I try to find the time to incorporate her class when I can before I give birth!

Catherine Lennie: I have consistently gone to the Pad since 2016. It’s the perfect location and the space is great. The teachers are consistent excellent and welcoming to the class.

Daniel Cogan: Awesome yoga studio on Union Street. Really love the Yin classes and laid back atmosphere. Highly recommend getting a pack of classes to use over the course of 3-6 months.

Karen Horn: Great classes, loved the livestream option so I could take classes on my own schedule, with the same great quality

Melissa Gugni: The Pad is a great studio! I like it because it is close to my house, parking is relatively easy and they offer many different classes everyday. I feel like post-covid, many yoga studios only offer a couple of classes a day and I appreciate having more options. It is a very calm and relaxing environment and folks of all levels are welcomed and challenged. The teachers range from very good to really freakin' awesome - there are a couple who clearly know their stuff and have a lot of experience to share.

Rina Wang: yoga has been a consistent weekly workout for me. all the teachers have been skilled and welcoming. it's an authentic yoga studio that gets steamy with the body heat, usually a great playlist is in the background. I love the vinyasa flow for the energy and stress relief. I would like to try yin or slow flow, but have not been yet because it is too late at night. due to my schedule, I am available to go to class weekday evenings right after work or weekend mornings. recent yoga teacher trainees have been humble but great. community classes are more inclusive for both students and teachers.

Kara Woods Hamilton: The Pad is a truly amazing space to learn and practice -- warm and inclusive, and the very, very best teachers. Livestream available for those of us out of area.

Laura Firestone: One of the top yoga studios in San Francisco. There are some fantastic teachers like Nicole Cronin, Rosemary and Emma Peck.

Lauren Frager: This place is so special - everything about it!

Katie Whalen: yoga flow SF is amazing! Our team at work did a private class there and it was fantastic. Beautiful studio, amazing instructor Brie!

Tori G.: I give this studio 5 stars. Very clean, spacious, and beautiful space. Friendly front desk staff, and above all, very friendly and inclusive instructors. The only thing I’d complain about is the lack of friendliness and manners of the students. When someone else or I myself have to practice close beside one another when the class is packed, I always give them a smile or say hello, but they all usually have a stink face. Also when we’re done, the environment suddenly becomes unwelcoming. No one says excuse me to one another, and just reach all over each other to get their belongings in a way that makes me feel like just hurrying up and getting out of the environment lol. This is not something I can remove a star for though, because the mannerisms of the students is not the fault of the studio. Overall, I will definitely be returning 😃👍

SR: I attended the studio for over 3 months. Overall, I enjoyed the yoga classes and the quality of the teachers are quite balanced. There are a few factors that made me give them 4 stars instead of 5.1. The music is usually very loud and distracting. The loud music really diminished the purpose of doing yoga.2. The classes are overall fast paced. But the sequences are somehow repetitive flows. I got bored after attending the studio for 1 month or so. Please add some arms or balance variations into different classes.3. Some teachers are a bit overly dramatic. One teacher played a Sam smith song and told us to close our eyes and champion the power of getting over a breakup. Hmmm it is a yoga class teacher, it’s not therapy. 😂4. Sometimes the studio is too hot especially during the hot summer days. The temperature can be more weather friendly.I might go back to the studio and give them a shot again. But please at least considering lowering the music and reducing playing the pop songs during classes. 🙏🏼

Lina Zhu: I went to one class taught by Erin Gilmore and really enjoyed her instruction. However, if you use Class Pass, booking classes here can be difficult sometimes. The window for booking closes one hour before class starts, which sounds reasonable but is annoying when you don't know when you will get home or get off work. They also only allow you to take one class per month before significantly raising the number of points you have to use.

Peter Then: Exceptionally warm, welcoming and professionally run studio in an amazing space in the middle of SF. The instructor, Leslie, was wonderful.

Minna Suh: More like an urban oasis, this is by far the best yoga studio in SF! Clean, airy and sunny space where you can see leaves glistening while flowing thru postures in a heated setting. Instructors are top-notch, most notably Leslie G, Tom L, Tanya C and Martin.

Rob Sullivan: Great gym and space

Lydia Simmons: My very favorite studio in the city. Beautiful space -- huge windows that look out over beautiful green trees. Skylight that brings in natural light. Heated vinyasa yoga with wonderful teachers and great music. I've made some of my closest friends from the studio; very nice crowd. Favorite teachers are Anna Hughes, Erin Gilmore, Leslie Gleser, and Tanya Clark. They offer classes in a smaller, non-heated room for beginners and/or advanced students who are focusing on the basics and alignment. I've tried classes across the country and have not found any studio that I like more than Yoga Flow. They also have beautiful spaces in Noe Valley and on Ocean Ave. One opening soon in Walnut Creek, too!

Selina Zhenni G: Great studio with amazing instructors!

Amanda Labrado: Its held in an atrium! Choose a spot below a glass vaulted ceiling.

Julia Santucci: I loveeeee Yoga Flow. They are my fav studio in SF and over the years I have been a fan of several of the teachers, in particular: Erin Gilmore. I would join her 6am friday classes and sunday evening classes, they started my day right and ended my weekend beautifully. The light that comes through that gorgeous studio is so unique too. If you are in SF looking for a fabulous yoga session, this is your place!! Thank you YF 3

Scott Shope: Such a lovely space. I have gone here for years and have liked all the teachers. You get a good work out. Warm

Daniel DiChiro: , I like to think I have a good understanding of quality yoga. The yoga provided at Yoga Flow is of the highest quality. Legendary teachers, inclusive community, beautiful studio... I can not say enough good things about this place. Thanks for all the phenomenal classes!

Jermaine Ellis (901cali): Excellent Location, excellent staff. Excellent classes. Plenty of street parking. Came to this location for a yin yoga class and I left feeling like a brand-new person. Class was very small and the instructor was absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend this location to friends and family.

Ross Dempsey: A really well lit, clean and relaxing studio.I am new to yoga took a class with Michael who clearly explained each move.I really enjoyed the class and felt relaxed and loose after.

Amit Chhabra: It's a nice cozy place. Highly recommend. Will go again.

Prima Doles: Very clean and not crowded.

Caroline McCue: The instructors here are wonderful, and everyone makes you feel very welcome, which has been great for a beginner like me. There's a wide range of experience levels but the classes are easy to follow, and they always offer variations to make things either easier or harder, which I really like. I love that they have classes everyday at 5:30, its super convenient to go right after work, and there's a different class everyday at that time. The classes all have different intensities and some are more traditional yoga while others are more of a hybrid--my favorite is the sculpt and flow, which is sort of a cross between yoga and HIIT.

Tess Schumacher: I hadn’t practiced yoga in years and I signed up for the slow flow class to try out Yogasix. It was a exactly the class I needed. I loved that they have lockboxes to store your belongings, the yoga studio is clean and the floor is marked for each mat, leaving enough space for the person next to you. All areas are sanitized. Definitely signing up for more classes!

Laurie Nguyen: This is an awesome studio. I've tried others and this one stands out. It's an awesome community and very supportive of your practice. The huge plus is the studio is super clean.

Nir Bialik: I joined yoga six w 8 times a month special. I have enjoyed the classes. The hot yoga is repetitive and same routine for every class so Imo you may get tired of it.This has been a great compliment to Orangetheory next door for me. My favorite instructor is Tiffany and I like Katie also. Audrey’s classes are insane and challenge you well.

Kristen Ann: I had a great experience at Yoga Six! I took the Y6 Hot class and didn’t really know what to expect. Molly was fantastic in easing the class into the flow sequence. It was the perfect balance of flow/stretch and the temperature of the room was just right. Overall, it was a fun sweaty class with a great playlist!

Jacque McLaughlin: Great Studio - lovely community.

AH L: Jhoanna is the main reason why I have a membership at YogaSix Oyster Point. Her Y6 Restore class has been a wonderful way to return to the yoga mat after nearly 20 years of absence. Jhoanna guides with clear instructions in soothing tones, offers multiple iterations for varying skill levels and physical capabilities, and has the gentlest hands in correcting your position in a way that suddenly resonates so much more intuitively in the mind/body connection. As a mom of two kids, working at a start-up, I find myself often pressed for time. But Jhoanna’s class can both quickly challenge me into a sweaty puddle and bring me great peace, in a way few things can. I breathe deeper in her class, and walk out lighter in spirit, every single time.

Ramprakash Srinivasan: I love the classes, very relaxing and friendly staff. I especially like their restore class, which is unique.Positive Communication, Quality, Professionalism …

Jamie Baxter: This studio is clean and good vibes! Love the unique variety of instructors.

Vanessa Merino: I absolutely adore Y6! The atmosphere is always immaculate and the teachers are incredibly warm and well-informed.

Cathy Arano: I’ve loved my experience so far at YogaSix! The Sculpt class with Katie is such a good workout. I leave feeling accomplished and refreshed. The essential oils at the end of the class are icing on the cake. Looking forward to coming back!

Lynn Kang: I arrived just in time for class on my first day, but staff was very helpful in getting me set up quickly. The class was challenging and instructor + instructions were very clear. Facility is also very clean.

Andre Petersen: I had the opportunity to try the free class and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to try yoga for the first time. Thanks Katie, I really enjoyed the class!

Allain Petersen: Been coming for almost 3 months and I feel amazing. Going from a stiff powerlifter to now being flexible says a lot. Amazing place! All the instructors are awesome. Took my mom, brother and his fiancée here for the free Saturday class and they loved it. Thank you Katie for a great class!

Betty Tobin: but Carl and Suhail are so welcoming and the beginner class has become my favorite exercise of the week!! Instead of intimidating and overwhelming, this place is SO encouraging and supportive. The style of the circuit cycle classes is such a perfect combination of really giving it all you’ve got but also listening to your body, encouraging and supportive! No competition except with yourself. From taking the time to check in with each person at the beginning of class about bike positions to checking in throughout the cycle, it’s overall just such a great experience.I definitely never thought I would be so into spin classes but they make the experience completely fantastic! The facilities are great and very well kept, clean lockers, bathrooms showers. The cherry on top has been the “pop music” rides and especially the Taylor Swift ride- you BET I was cycling so fast you could call ME the getaway car 😎

Ariel: as well as quality soap products.I’ve only ever taken the Circuit class with Carl and he was made to for this line of work - so supportive and respectful

Michele Ranta: PHENOMENAL workout studio! Great class options. I loved the spinning class. It’s fun and challenging like most, but the upper body workout was super cool. The space has great amenities including showers. The owner and staff make you smile! It’s a wonderful thing. 😅

Fabi Letter: I would give them a 10000 star review if I could. For their outstanding service! Every time I come to wheel house I can immediately relax and feel like I am in my oasis, because everyone that works here is constantly making sure that your whole experience from start to finish is amazing. They give the extra mile that no other similar business gives. When I moved to the city I tried quite few indoor cycling studios, but Wheel House definitely stood out in every aspect. Im so happy I have found them.

Emily Serleth: I simply love Wheel House. This studio is so much more than a place to work out: it’s a supportive community built by owners Carl and Suhail and every time I step into Wheel House, my mood improves.Carl’s indoor cycling class is what keeps me coming back - and has for years now. His energy and passion on the bike is contagious! The yoga and strength classes at Wheel House are also challenging and fun!Take as many classes here as you can!

Eva Caisse: Love Emma‘s Saturday morning wake up flow class! I always leave feeling refreshed and energized!🌞

Esha Chaturvedi: Indoor cycle sessions with Carl are just great! The studio is really well set up and the staff is helpful and friendly. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Pramudit Agarwal: Everything about this place is top-notch, the infrastructure, trainers, music, and the overall vibe. I have never been more motivated to continue with the same cycling class/location, and highly recommend it above all of the corporate chains!

Fozia Saleem: . I also find that I work harder when the instructor is talking normally, instead of high-pitched and overexcited lol. By far the best facility around from the staff, to the equipment, to the facility itself. From the ownership, to management, to the trainers, by far the nicest and most knowledgeable staff in the business today. Loved it !!

Shazia Mushtaq: Wow! It was my first live stream class today with Carl doing the sculpt class. It was such an amazing class, within 5 minutes of the lesson I was sweating and could feel my heartbeat pumping so fast.. the instructor waS brilliant and really made me work hard. I've tried many you tube videos, where I've just given up, but there was no way out with Carl. I've already booked my next few classes and I suggest you do too. Thanks Carl and Suhail. Keep up the great work xxx

Tristan Ballard: Great spin classes with a couple different instructors. I haven't tried the other yoga/TRX/core classes yet. Prices are far more reasonable than Soul Cycle, without all the crowding. Plus you get to support a small, local business. Classes and staff are also welcoming to newcomers and much less intimidating I think than Soul Cycle, which can be a bit of a cultish vibe.Masks are not currently required, though you are welcome to wear one, and everyone including instructors is fully vaccinated.

Samuel Shain: I absolutely LOVE Wheelhouse! Carl and Suhail are incredibly supportive, motivational, and friendly owners; they inspire me to bring my best self to every single workout. I recommend this place to everyone without any reservations! Come check out the amazing studio for yourself! 😃

Arta Lahiji: I just love love wheelhouse. I love that they everything I look for in a spin studio. And the new outdoor spin classes are just awesome. It’s so nice to be doing what I love to do on a bike outdoors. The fresh air is amazing and it’s so nice to see wheelhouse back in action keeping us healthy and doing it responsibly! I did the 5:30 outdoor spin class and it was so cathartic to be back on a bike. They had wireless headsets which played music and we could hear the instructor which was perfect!Carl and Suhail are always so welcoming and pleasant! As is everyone else there who always welcome you with positive energy!Their facilities are always immaculately clean including their showers and locker rooms. No charge for towels. Parking validation included. And the instructors are so enthusiastic and pump me up!Just love wheelhouse!Happy to see them back in action! !

Agnieszka Szefer: Awesome instructors and classes! I love spinning classes, especially with Carl and flexline classes are the best workout classes I've found in the city so far.

Valeska Granados-Dickopp: I think these guys are the example for other gyms and fitness centers. They are super flexible- their class packages never expire, they have amazing amenities, run contests year-round to keep you motivated, have specials throughout the year, play amazing music to inspire you to work hard, and hire the best people! I unfortunately don't work close by anymore so it's hard to make it, but I try as I miss their awesome array of classes. Keep up the amazing work!

Irina K: Best yoga instructors, very convenient schedule and location, clean showers. Love it

Anna Caroline Lavenue: Classes with Eric are fun and exciting! I enjoy the location of the studio very much. All ages welcome. It brings a crowd without yoga ego which is nice. Folks aren’t judgy about yoga skills so you feel supported trying new things. I recommend.

Tina Cognata: Great class

Taylor Lewis: Thank you!

Scott Rowe: Brad guided us in a lovely Yin & Restorative class which ticked all the boxes for me: he emphasized listening to our bodies and where they are today, while still allowing us to go as deep as we wanted. He was great with respectful personal guidance, as well. It’s been years since my last yoga class, and even longer since my last yin class, and it was good to come back to the mat.

Marissa Goodman Thieriot: Joy went above and beyond to make me comfortable. It was a wonderful and truly healing experience. She customized it to suit my needs.

Jen Nash: Truly excellent.

Jennifer Tran: Lori leads a really fun and enjoyable Vinyasa class. All classes at Purusha have been wonderful and I really enjoy shaking off a long day with this evening flow class.

Amelia Hogan: She's one of my favorite instructors. Her approach is gentle, connected, fluid, and well, restorative! I also enjoy her Hatha Yoga for beginners class. Would highly recommend.

Pat Loughlin: Allegras' Sunday evening class was wonderful. She is a skilled teacher. Her sequencing was inviting and engaging. I also appreciated the focus on "letting go and making room." Finding someone who is a gifted teacher is always a blessing. So glad to have found this class. Thank You.

Hiroko Schreiber: Very clean and nice environment. Friendly stuff and very relaxing class. I'll go back!

Shane Crary Ross: needed today ❤️

Upcoming events and schedules post in front hallway. Also sandwich board outside!

Kristina Lanuza: The Yoga Society of San Francisco is a jewel in the Heart of the Mission District. It is a place of healing, authentic yogic teachings, peace and joy. What is remarkable is how Shri Brahmananda Sarasvatī, Guruji, Ramamurti S. Mishra, M.D., founder of Brahmananda Ashram / Yoga Society of San Francisco and his devotees are able to infuse an old Victorian house in the middle of a bustling city with the same stillness and divinity found in remote forest Ashrams. I fly all over the world and yet, come home for healing to the Yoga Society of San Francisco. It is an extraordinary haven and powerful in its subtle grace.

Stefanie S: This is a beautiful yoga space in the Mission with gardens around it a fire ceremony every morning and evening and a great schedule of yoga classes.

Liza Pomerantz: I love this studio so much. It’s so welcoming to any new yogis. I also love everything about the ritual class: loud upbeat music, dark/candle-lit studio, two teachers per class one providing hands on assists, massages during opening and closing meditations, cold eucalyptus towels during savasana. If you’re a true traditional yogi, you probably won’t like their spin on the practice, but if you’re open to new types of yoga, it’s amazing. It also is fast paced and can sometimes take 2-3 classes to really understand how it flows…in my opinion though, once you get it, you’ll be hooked! I was a member from 2015-2018, moved away for four years and couldn’t find a studio that even came close to what they offer, and was so excited to move back to practice here again.

Cindy Astorga: Before I started to work here, I have been to many other yoga studios before. In San Francisco there is a grip of them and each one has its own personality. But I have to say, that the Ritual style is truly a well rounded unique experience. I don’t want to give it away but it does feel like you entered a different world holding a safe space to enter within yourself and start healing within. And it all starts as soon as you enter the studio.

Acarie Sadang: I love the whole Ritual Crew in Soma, the teachers are my cheerleaders and honestly, it's a good release after a long day. I highly recommend for beginners because we were all once a beginner and it doesn't matter as long as you keep moving and breathing to the beat. ;

Kyle Dowling: Love this studio! Great instructors, good vibes, good music, and great workouts!

Heidi Liou: . I'm glad I didn't have to bring a mat or towel.Highly recommend taking a class with Dottie, I loved her energy.

Eva Pong: Hands down the best hot yoga studio!Ritual is a super unique yoga practice where you flow to the beat of the music. First timers, don’t shy away after your first class! It does take some getting to the ritual flow style. I love that I’m constantly challenged by the flows and peak postures of the week. I 100% attribute Ritual to pushing my limits in the best way, I’ve learned so much, and now able to do some cool arm balances. Love the community and the amazing teachers here! 🏻

Anna Gostine: Best yoga studio in SF. Super supportive environment and catered to all levels. The class is done in low light and always has a great playlist. Seriously, the best 50 minutes you’ll have!

Linglong Zhu: Love the all inclusive experience, no need to bring anything, just show up. They have all the tower and equipments you need for class and shower etc. very continent. Taco Tuesday smells so good.Con is I feel the class is best for ppl who are used to their pace, it was dark and fast pace, hard to follow for new comers. It’s like a yoga HIIT class. Not suitable for ppl who have injuries, and I felt it’s was a bit easy to hurt myself I’d move too fast or do it wrong. They have TA to help on correction but felt not enough instructions overall. My bkg: I’ve done yoga many years, knows most typical poses, but have leg and wrist injuries. But the teacher’s voice was beautiful and the ending towel was nice. Not much massage though, it was more of holding your upper arm for 5s.

Raquel Araujo: . They welcome all bodies and styles. You get a warm up, then a flow that we reeat 4 times x2 for each side. 2 with guidance and 2 in our own. There is also a bit of an ab workout and finally more flow. There is a peak pose each week and you can see how much you improve. Levels are up yo you but they do from 1 to 4. I can personalize it depending on my goals and how my body feels. The music and flows depend on the teachers. For example, one will have more arm work and another one zero. They also offer yin restorative yoga classes and I use these to work through any pain.

Rachel Goldschmid: I used to live at 6th and Howard and being near Ritual was one of the only benefits of living in that neighborhood. Room is super hot, music is super loud, lights off so you can focus on yourself. No need to bring your own mat or towel. While I'm very glad I don't live nearby anymore, I do miss Ritual!

Grace B: Lots of class times each day, they provide the yoga mat and towels. Each class is unique, is fast paced and challenging, but energizing and healing!

adam lawrence: I want to make a recommendation to all who read this. This is a great studio with excellent instructors. Tip a little. I know most people don’t carry cash, but $5 is always a nice gesture to your instructor. I started going to the ATM where I can get 5’s, and started carrying during the pandemic and always go out of my way to tip cash now when I can, as it’s been so hard on all my service friends. Just a suggestion. Dillon and Sydney are amazing!!

Kelsey McParland: I have been going to Ritual for several years and it's been an absolute pleasure! The staff is inviting, friendly, and willing to help any way they can. The experience can be intense for newbies but I highly recommend sticking with it by attending multiple sessions and you'll be hooked. Members get one, monthly private session with instructors to work on form, too. Overall, happy to have this studio so close to home!
