Logan Martin: I’ve had a really fantastic experience with Mission Neighborhood Health Center. I always feel thoroughly cared for and listened to by my Doctor. Today I was having some issues with appointments/ MyChart and Paulo was so kind and helpful getting me through it.
Murell Lagleva: I was in a desperate position when I broke my leg three days ago and couldn’t get the needed surgery to fix my broken bone, primarily because I just moved from Utah a few months ago and haven’t had a chance to establish a primary care provider here in SF.So I needed an emergency medical referral to an orthopedic surgeon to perform my bone surgery, and three women stepped up and helped me get the care and referral I needed. I have been rejected by multiple clinics and offices saying they couldn’t take in more patients, and that’s understandable—I know, since I am a healthcare provider too. It just shows how broken the system is and how insurance companies are ruining healthcare. To Esther, Elizabeth, Dr. España, and to the whole team, thank you for being amazing and being helpful. You are what it means to be a healthcare provider, despite the long hours, exhaustion, and low pay, especially during this pandemic, you still show compassion and empathy. I wish I could show my gratitude more.

Wilson Ferreira: Being part of the UCSF Alliance Health Project's community has been a truly transformative experience for me. The dedication and compassion that AHP brings to mental health and wellness services is unparalleled. Celebrating their 40th anniversary is not just a milestone; it's a testament to four decades of unwavering commitment to supporting the LGBTQ and HIV-affected communities in San Francisco. The impact they've had on thousands of lives is immeasurable, and I'm proud to be associated with an organization that prioritizes inclusivity, diversity, and the overall well-being of individuals. Here's to AHP – a beacon of hope, support, and positive change in our community for the past 40 years and beyond!
Ryan Yiu (Sunny): , yeah therapy does take a lot of talking. I think my homeless contract had my once a month talk extend just beyond 1 year of talking, all without charging me nor requiring MediCal. Pity that I couldn't have my therapist again, but he still remembered me: great training by CIIS

Haley D’Olier: I love this place. I am so tired of people poorly reviewing these facilities due to the fact that they're just focusing on your safety. As someone who has been in real neglectful and poor quality units, this is not one. Moving along, if you're going there even if it doesn't solve your issues, it will bring you a bit of sanity and happiness during a rough period. If you're social and open, the groups and activities will be useful. It taught me a lot of DBT skills and the food was really good for a psych place. They also sent me to a residential and those two together really helped me get on stable footing again in life. I'm nowhere near perfect but this place was so helpful.
Tigran Bagiryan: and both the staff and other patients were perhaps some of the greatest people I've ever met. Seconding the other review mentioning Dan.There was a schedule we followed for the day, with occasional activities such as group therapy sessions, but for a solid portion of the day we were allowed to just hang out in the main room, although participation was never mandatory for anything, only encouraged: if you didn't feel like it, you could just chill in your room. Almost preferred my stay there to my daily life. Also, if you're gonna be staying here and have trouble sleeping: just ask for their tea. It's magic.
Youngjun Miranda (Jun): This was a really nice facility it helped me learn a lot about self-love actually and I got a lot of really great friends from it. They allowed us to share contact information and we've been keeping in touch with each other and it's really helped my growth. Also I loved all of my nurses. Expecially Dan and Laura what a great support system.
Grace Changaran: you get to bond with a bunch of people here. I still have my old packets of things i can do when i'm thinking abt hurting myself or I'm feeling down/hurt, or just not feeling the day. Truly, I think, without this hospital, I would've attempted again, and I would've succeeded. we had 1:1 psych services w/ the staff, but also with our doctor. I had outside time, where we looked over the SF skyline, and it made me feel better, at least. We had movie nights at the end of the week, and I stayed in here until New Years 2022, where I left on January 4th. I can't say much for other people, but I had a roommate for the last half of my stay, because the heating wasn't working in the other half of the building. They moved us all up a room and she ended up in mine, and I liked having a roommate. I wish I knew what happened to her, but patient confidentiality and everything. Overall, I loved this place. Sometimes I miss it, because there was a structure to it that I don't have at home, now. Thank you, to everyone here. You truly changed my life. I'm much better, and much healthier thanks to you. 3
Mars “Robbie” Bell: who told me I was missgendered because I look and sound like a girl. She’s apparently had numerous reports filed against her and hasn’t been filed, and is notorious enough that within one sentence my crisis councilor knew exactly who she was and said she’d file another complaint.while my experience before leaving was good, when it was time and i was expressing i didn’t think i’d stay safe and would probably attempt again, my concerns were practically ignored.tl;dr good food and mostly good experience but ignored my safety concerns when i was about to leave.
Cazpur: i made friends there
Rett Rett: hi ! i was a patient in the adolescent unit for five days , and speaking frim experience it was very nice here ! super progressive and LGBT+ friendly, we get to go outside twice a day, there is an air hockey table and the food isnt too bad ! lots of recreational activities, patients and staff are super welcoming !
Fernanda Medina: It was an amazing place, nice staff, felt safe. I definitely met people I’ll never forget to who I related deeply. The food was okay. I liked movie nights and having to improve with my coping mechanisms to be able to take a shower according to their reward system😍. They had cameras everywhere to make sure everyone was safe😳I also loved the therapy dog they brought us.
