Peter Moore: A really great event space to host large gatherings.

Richard Contreras: This place just relaxes you just entering had a great day volunteering for the botanical gardens

Alicia DiGiammarino: I have been to two 2023 events here and both were great! I would definitely go back to the chocolatier and dahlia festivals. This building is basically one big room and is perhaps a bit dated but it is used well and has restrooms

Mengyao: The semiannual orchid show has many rare orchids for sale. If you are a orchid enthusiast, don’t miss it! It’s difficult to find parking though.

Maria Rodriguez: Attended the SFSCS event for the first time. Really cool experience.

Chris Mende: The many wonderful events and places to visit in Golden Gate Park are a big lure. Tomorrow will be a varied and rich plant sale by many vendors from plant organizations such as the SF Begonia Society to as well as commercial vendors! Don’t miss it! Gardeneur is organizing it.

Yatin Korde: Chocolate festival... Yahoooo ..

S.I. TL. (Stellaaahhh): I used to camp in the bushes with my bf and guinea piglet, Mona. Now, I come here for "ROCK" shows! #LifeIsGood

RIch Harris: We wanted a hotel near the docks in Sausalito so the Casa Madrona was out choice. Perfect location for shopping and dining, and service was good. I only rated it as 4 stars due to the "sterile" and cold reception area and hotel amenities. The rooms were clean, but Spartan compared to other hotels at this price. The cost did not justify the stay.... But hey, it's Sausalito and California....Rooms: Clean but pretty basic... No frills for the money.Nearby activities: Great parks, shopping and restaurants.Walkability: Great place to spend a pretty summer day!

Laura Daudistel: We were in room 360. Balcony with ocean views. Room was clean. Odd thing about this particular room was there were steps up to the bathroom. I didn't like having to do the tile steps in the dark at night. If we had stayed longer than a couple of nights I would have asked for a different room. When I made our reservation I thought the weather would be cooler. If I'd known it was going to be as sunny and nice as it was I would have gotten one of the hillside rooms with a larger deck to suit and enjoy the view. Restaurant downstairs was very convenient with excellent food. Walking to all the little shops was easy. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Shawn Gillis: The casa madrona offers top quality rooms and service in a central location that can't be beat. The variety of rooms between the Victorian house, the hillside cottages in the spacious rooms. Next door for something for everyone. The staff is extremely helpful and ensurers you have everything you need. The on-site spa and restaurant are excellent.Rooms: The rooms are definitely a highlight of this property. Whether it be the classic Victorian house with incredible views of the San Francisco Bay, Bay bridge and San Francisco, or the hillside cottage is located below, every room has a different feel and layout. Many offer a fireplace or large soaking tub. Opt for a balcony to enjoy your morning coffee and croissant while the sun rises in front of you or sip your evening wine while you watch the boats below in the harbor and on the bay.Walkability: The casa madrona is literally steps away from everything Sausalito has to offer, including numerous restaurants, bars and shops . A short ferry ride from Sausalito to San Francisco makes it easy to explore with the ferry terminal being in walking distance. You are also a short 5-minute drive to the Golden gate bridge and of course San Francisco. To the north Muir woods, the wine country and the incredible coastline offers many daily excursion optionsNoteworthy details: Be sure to explore the property when you stay there. The Victorian house at the top of the hill is well over 100 years old with quaint cottages that ramble up the hillside next to the house. Below that, the hillside cottages wind down to the main Street with every single one having incredible Bay views of the harbor and even a glimpse of San Francisco. You literally can park your car and leave it there during your entire stay. The on-site restaurant and spa, as well as the many restaurants and shops within walking distance provide plenty of options..

Janet Minker: Lovely historic hotel in the center of Sausalito.Nearby activities: Hiking the Marin headlandsWalkability: Great location in town

Peppe Ragusa: .

Cindy S-R: We had a lovely stay at Casa Madrona that exceeded our expectations. Found this beautiful hotel online just a couple days before our trip. Our room overlooking the marina, was absolutely lovely, clean, and very spacious. The bathroom was the largest bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel room, including two sinks, a very large shower, as well as a separate bathtub. The location is fabulous- to either walk along the water or find great cafes and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Everyone working at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall a great couple days and wish we could stay longer!Food & drinks: Poggio is a great Italian restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. Many great places to eat within walking distance- Equator Coffee is great for breakfast and lunch - and fabulous coffee, Sushi Ran is a 7 minute walk and has great Japanese food.

Carter Reese: I would love to stay here again and for a few days rather than an overnight! There are lots of amenities I didn't have time to utilize! The staff was wonderful and my room was clean!Jim was so kind and I enjoyed chatting with him. Friendly staff is always the hallmark of a good stay! Carlton and Demarcus were super friendly and courteous as well!Location is great, you can walk to so many local eats and the water!! My room itself had great lighting and the hug tub was a plus!I enjoyed my time and I hope to book a stay again soon!

Cheyenne Blackwolf: Casa Madrona was a great hotel for our anniversary weekend celebration. It was our first time to Sausalito and I will 1000%be coming back! The views from the mansion rooms is incredible. Although the room walls are thin and you can hear other families, the view makes up for it. I also loved the rainfall shower. The service is all amazing!! The valet guy was so nice and gave us a ton of recommendations. Helped us with our bags and spoke to us several times throughout our visit and we didn't even use the valet service! He was so nice. Great place overall. Expect a lot of stairs.Walkability: The prefect location to everything in town! You can walk everywhere

Daniel White: .The gym is tiny and the spa services seem to be limited to massages. We recommend Osteria Divina for Italian and live music; Firehouse Coffee; and Sushi Ran for sushi all within 5-10 minute walk.Bring or rent bikes if you can to see even more of this great area.Walkability: 100% walkable to anything and everything

Ren-Whei Harn: Beautiful treasure box destination for designers, art lovers, ephemera enthusiasts, and any creatively minded people. We spent over 2 hours here and felt like we had only seen the tip of the iceberg.

Martha Sue Coursey: My new favorite place! Don't miss if you are a designer, illustrator or letter lover

Daniel Saper: We had a great work offsite event here last week! Melanie and the team at The Box were fantastic to work with and everything was executed immaculately - from the meeting space to the food to the Happy Hour. The team had a great experience and will definitely use The Box for future events.

Aliaksandra Rybchanka: The ambience of this place is magical! Could spend there hours exploring pieces. And the owner is the sweetest person❤️

Crystal Williams: .The shop contains items from the mid-1800s to the early-1900s from around the world. Everything is in great condition and attests to the craftsmanship of earlier time periods. What was supposed to be a quick 20-30 minute visit turned into a 2-hour visit.Everywhere you turn, there's something new to take in. I love antique and thrift stores, yet I have never encountered anything as unique as The Box. I found some souvenirs to take home with me and even the wrapping paper was this cool, historical print. The Box is a treasure trove for people who love vintage, antique, or novel artifacts. If that's your style, you have to visit.

Mariska Calabrese: I found this place on IG and had to drop by. I spent about an hour looking at all of the vintage/antique pieces. I could have easily spent several hours and several thousand dollars there, as they had so many interesting things.

Ron Chan: Awesome store! So much cool ephemera… would happily take half the shop home. A definite treasure.

caitlin spaan: Absolutely jaw dropping collection of antique toys, posters, souvenirs, and gee-gaws in addition to literally MILLIONS of pieces of printed materials from the past - lithographs, invoices, ads, matchbooks, board games and much much much more. All beautifully displayed and, incredibly, all for sale. This is a true treasure trove. Tragically, it seems as if the collector and owner is losing the space, so it may not be around for long.

MANOJ AGGARWAL: Great venue awesome staff

Emmett Farley: Really functional space and gracious staff. Our guests loved the warm atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Aubrey Fuller: Our company did an event here recently and the space was gorgeous, the staff friendly and helpful, willing to work with us on a hundred variables that came into play in the setup of the event. Great experience, great venue.

Courtenay Lapovsky: I recently went to an event at The Box SF. It was a beautiful venue that was very clean and well taken care of. I ran into the owner and he showed me some beautiful art pieces he had installed outside. It was such a welcoming place to be. I hope to be back for another event soon!

Hesham Hauter: I recently hosted an event at this gorgeous venue, and it was an absolute delight! The space is not only beautiful and spacious but also expertly managed by Mark, the event owner.Mark's assistance was invaluable – from start to finish, he went above and beyond to ensure our event was a success. The venue's layout allowed for a seamless flow, and the aesthetic added a touch of elegance. The staff's efficiency and friendliness were commendable, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend this venue for anyone seeking a stunning setting with exceptional service. Mark and his team truly know how to create memorable events!

Lisa Sten: I love that Mark has curated and saved so much advertising and other ephemera for us to enjoy. I love this place! I'm always happy when I visit. Today I bought several postage stamp posters /art. I will treasure them.

Ariadni Pereira: The most unique event venue space in a historic printing studio. Highly recommended for all your meetings and events -if you’re looking for a unique experience in SF!! I’ve been doing events for 20+ years and this is truly a special place. Make sure to include a visit to the press room and mercantile shop!

Ann Tompkins: Wonderful place. Very interesting, friendly and well run

Niki Pham: I would gate keep this gem of a store but it’s too good not to share with the world! Love coming here to hunt for treasure to decorate in my apartment. I tell my friends all about it and you should too!

Monkeybrains: SF Box was a great place to host our company holiday party this year! We had about 100+ guests and booked their 2 event space floors but they're able to fit around 150. All their rooms are beautiful and spacious. The staff was terrific and even the owner Mark had partaken in our fesitivities! Our favorite part about their package was choosing a custom vintage furniture setup!Event space aside, they have a store homing great vintage memorabilia dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries! Although outdated, all are still in such great condition. The staff was happy to give us a tour!
