Chase Evans: Seems like a friendly atmosphere to try some various beers and food. Just don't come here if you don't intend to drink. I went to get a bite to eat with some buddies after a late night of drinking, so we weren't really feeling like drinking that night. Waitress made a comment about us being the first non-alcohol order all night which then led to the rest of that interaction being a bit weird. They have their own house soda which comes in 3 flavors. I respect some good house-made sodas but they weren't for me. After the interaction with the waitress, we just felt awkward for being there as we didn't see that waitress again that night. We were helped by the guy who delivered our food for the rest of the night. The food was good though, no complaints there.I'm sure if you are intending to drink, you'll fit right in. Maybe it was just an off night for them.
Nele Van den Broeck: The setting of this bar is great. We initially passed it by accident and it is not exactly in the nicest neighborhood, but once inside you don't notice anything from the outside of course. There is an incredible amount of choice on tap, so I recommend using the Untapped app, where they also regularly update their menu. This gives you an easier overview of their beer offering. The food was also great, I had the burger with fries and it was delicious. If you are a beer lover, you should definitely pop in here!
Kevin Chang: This is the bar with the most similar operation except the main branch in Copenhagen, and the staff is very friendly. You must try the signature geek shake coffee beer!!
Dawn Miller: Great atmosphere
Marcus Lee: Mikkeller was recommended by my Danish friends, it is a Danish brand, hence the Danish cartoon and industrial decorations. Always good beers, I love sour beers, so this is my happy place. Burgers and fries are always good with beer drinking. Prices are fair. The location is so central, that makes Mikkeller a good place for after work drink, quick bite when visiting from out of town, or friends get-together, as they have some large tables to commentate. I go to Mikkeller whenever I feel like it, and I feel like it a lot.
Brandon Ozard: Lot's of tasty beer 😀Service was good.Food was okay.

Stephanie Costa: I probably should have written this review a decade ago. Zeitgeist is a San Francisco institution that has evolved with the times. The food, drinks, ambiance, and service are all fantastic. It’s a casual, edgy beer hall that is unparalleled on a sunny day but wonderful always. Zeitgeist has been my favorite bar in San Francisco since I turned 21. I had my 24th birthday party here a decade ago, and I recently hosted my wedding welcome party here. Coordinating with Nicole, in particular, for my wedding welcome party was an absolute joy!
Jacqueline Tona: 36 years of enjoying Zeitgeist.Their burgers and fake burgers and fries are great. Big beer selection and strong drinks. Of course the bier garden is the draw.Vegetarian options: Faux burgers, grilled queso, etc
Fred L: Atmosphere: 5/5
mrk p.: Good music, good drinks. Tip your bartender. Update 2024: pandemic changed everything for better and worse. I miss the zeitgeist of yore, but the food is much better!
klarese donnelly: Zeitgeist is a great spot. Kind of a punk patio beer bar with excellent food. It's great to go to on a nice day, especially after a visit to Dolores Park. Sometimes when it's really crowded it can mess up food orders and leave you waiting for a long time. However, it's almost always worth it. I especially love their burger but most of their offerings are great. Their beer selection is both good and varied, and the bartenders are cool even if not always the friendliest. I've never had a bad time here. If I lived closer I'd be here all the time.

Drew Chappell Mathias: and a good vibe with a touch of kitsch. Great options for no or low ABV cocktails too. For the dog lovers out there, also dog friendly. Great weekend adventure. Go check it out.Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Last Rites, Kali MA's Doom, Zombie Killer …
Jota Ce: . The giant skull in the background, which appears between events, with smoke and light, and the ambient music reminiscent of insect sounds makes you feel like a character from Lost. The cocktails are very delicious and the staff is super friendly.

Erica (EVLove11): , Good cocktails, and intriguing decorations all come together to create the perfect atmosphere for a casual hang or regular haunt. A couple TVs keep locals engaged on the big games but leave the back of the bar undisturbed for private conversations away from bright screens. A bartender that can make a good negroni is a rare find as well. Could be a lot cheaper, especially for the area, but the prices weren't offensive

K Fire: Editing this review for posterity. $20 for a drink at a dive bar in the mission is a bit much, which is why I only went once in 2021 and never again. This bar doesn't really have anything to offer besides its primo location on Capp which is an easy place to score a lady for the night. Even then, she wanted 300 and the ones near downtown only asked 200. There's nothing else going on though: no dancing, no live music, no craft cocktails per se, etc. From what I'm gathering, there was a chess club and free pool Mondays. I'm not hating on dive bars, but there was so many better choices in the mission. This city has the highest bar to households ratio at 6 to 10k, so you havta do something to stand out and I never really saw them promoted anywhere. Just a little quiet hole in the wall.
Tracy: One of my favorite dive bars in San Francisco! Lots of memories!
Anonymous Ghost: Uptown has a special place in my heart! Toward the tail end of a bar crawl, this bar is the place to ground yourself and have beautifully drunken conversations with good company. The service is top notch. You won’t feel overlooked or over exerted while you pause and regain your senses to request a drink. It is truly a shame that they will be closing come January 1st. Do yourself a favor and visit Uptown before then.
Selby Glynn: Very kind bartenders and a fun hang place to hangout. They have a pool table and a jukebox. Queer friendly and cash only!Wheelchair accessibility: All one level with flat access from sidewalk.
delaney ross: Dope little punky dive bar
Tim Clancy: Low key
Alaina Zulli: I love this place. It's a perfect specimen of chill queer dive. It's not a Gay Bar; it's a queer bar, and as a queer cis woman I feel totally comfortable, I'm not intruding on a space that isn't made for me.The beer selection has a nice mix of mostly indue ferries breweries with a few old standbyes for those who like their Guinness and Rolling Rock. The vibe is very much "chill dive". There's a pool table in an open adjoining room. The vinyl booth seating is heavily patched. The bartenders are friendly.I live in the Castro and have my pick of queer bars, but this is by far my favorite.

Erin-Kate Whitcomb: Got a great parking spot across the street in front of Now Valley Bakery, which is not always the case on 24th Street. We were meeting friends there in the back outdoor area. TVs at every booth and you just ask the server to change the channel - we wanted to see the Giants. Midday beers on St Patrick’s Day weekend and it was lovely out. Lots of locals go there, so we saw a few friends. Service was great and I was introduced to the Black Velvet: Prosecco and Guinness! Sounds kind of awful but it was great. Our server was Shanna and she’s so much fun and works hard. Took great care of us!
Timothy Neumann: It's a sports bar. Athletic contests on national sports channels or local broadcast were on. The atmosphere included subdued lighting, tables to sit at, some standing room, and the bar. I had some 805 on tap. It was served capably by a bartender who didn't keep me waiting too long. I can't speak for anyone else there. I didn't order food. I was in a bit of an introspective mood and was just talking to myself. I don't like thinking I've read your privileged communications while I'm thinking. I don't live YOUR life. If my life is not mine to live, am I a zombie?
Paul-Elie Nauleau: Great pub to watch games and hangout with a good beer selectionVegetarian options: YesDietary restrictions: Ask staffKid-friendliness: NoWheelchair accessibility: Yes
Kraig Beale: San Francisco is a City with seven hills and many small villages sprinkled among them. The Valley Tavern is this "village's"Most authentic version of what a pub should be.Good food quality booze and people.Greate for watching people and sports. With a large back garden style patio.Side note. I was amused by a local over-served woman who bounced between abrasive and seductive.I left before observing the culmination of her night. Whatever her fate was to be.Wheelchair accessibility: The front half of the pub is available.
Yusi: Nice sport bar in the area
