The southern access point will be closed for repairs beginning on Monday, July 22, and is anticipated to be completed by Tuesday, October 1. For the duration of the project, Belgrave Avenue will be the only entrance and exit point for the park.
This park offers a picnic area with a bench or two, and is great for dogs. However, please note that there are no restrooms or playground facilities available.
The views at this park are indescribable and offer a panoramic view of the city that isn't overly crowded. On a sunny day, the view is pretty amazing, especially of the Golden Gate bridge, Marin headlands, downtown SF skyline, and the SF Bay and Port of Oakland.
No, this park is not accessible for wheelchairs or strollers due to the rickety stairs leading up from Twin Peaks Blvd. However, the stairs on the north side leading to Belgrave Ave. are in much better shape.
