Steven Simanonok: Staff took the time to research which trees would thrive in partial shade.
B Lobato: This is the first California native plant nursery I've ever been to. I love the selection of plants and the demonstration garden is a pleasant experience, along with getting to meet the chickens. Paul the owner keeps a great spot to browse and shop. I highly recommend coming to check this place out
Forrest Charles: I received a bad attitude when I asked about growing some native plants. I was told it wasn't worth trying and that I should just go enjoy the plants on a hike.
33sd33 33sd33: Always wonderful for Native plants. Peaceful, look about or ask for what you need. Also near a fenced dog park, Heron's Head
Allen Braun: Third Sunday of the month. Music, beer, and food.👍👍
Marcelly Douglass: An oasis in the city. Loved the chickens and artwork, and of course the plants. Great customer service!
Svetlana Kholodar: Really love the vibe of this place and all the cool goats and chickens

Mark Hogan: I've bought a lot of plants here and it is always a fun place to visit. Staff are helpful.

Sarah Doyle: Incredible shop! Wonderful selections that look healthy, fair prices and extremely helpful staff. We visited today for re-potting & finding appropriate potting soil. Their tips/guidance was so helpful without being condescending. Excited to visit again!
Natalia M: I walked by a few times, and today I finally decided to go in. SF Plants is actually a super cute store with beautiful plants, and great staff. I was offered guidance which I accepted since I was looking for an easy-to-care, cat-friendly plant. They took the time to show me all the options, answer my questions and then give me my own time to make a decision without being pushy at all. Thanks!! 😊
Angel Yang: loved this store! great selection of plants and pots. john was also super helpful and nice, helping us pick out plants and giving us tips on ones we had at home as well. he was super knowledgeable and friendly! he went above and beyond - highly recommend checking this place out
Andrea Barreto: Hands down the best plant store in San Francisco. The owner Mark is really devoted to his plans and he has always helped me take care of mine. I have bought all my plans with him and I don't regret it for a second. Also, the story is beautiful and it's a sanctuary for peace and relaxation. Greatly recommended
Luis Gonzales: a month ago or so and just bought my second yesterday. I highly recommend!
Rafael Unda: Beautiful plant store with amazing variety. Kind people. Highly recommended to visit!
Kay Weber: One of the hidden treasures of plant stores in San Francisco, SF Plants has a beautiful and healthy plant display. They also have the most knowledgeable and generous staff and owner. I just discovered that you can bring in your struggling or sick plants and they take care of them. Dino just replanted my Umbrella Papyrus and gave me great advice. Awesome service!
Azadeh Nematzadeh: Beautiful plant shop and lovely owners and staff. The store is so beautiful and absolutely worth checking out.
Kirk Mountain: Mark, one of the owners, was incredibly helpful and had an amazingly deep knowledge of plants. We walked out purchasing more plants than planned with the confidence that we could keep them healthy after Mark's detailed guidance. It was a pure joy to shop at SF Plants.
B Gladstone: Went in there today again to get more pots and dirt for my Dieffenbachia. This is the best place in SF
Nick Price: The outside of this store is a bit unsuspecting but the two floors of this store have a whole world of plants, pots and more. The staff is extremely welcoming and took the time to give suggestions on caring for each of my plants. They really want to make sure you are able to enjoy your plants to the fullest. Anyone looking to purchase some plants should make an effort to stop by. I will certainly be a repeat customer!

The customer service they provide is hands-down top notch and extra appreciated in today's world. I am a customer for life. Thank you, Mark
Methely Sharma: Best plant store I’ve been to. They have a variety of beautiful plants and pots. The service was incredible. The people working there are incredibly friendly and helpful. They will recommend plants based on what fits your lifestyle best. I will definitely be back.

Daniel: Looks to have closed :(
Allison Bowden: I love Hortica! Great selection, healthy plants, and reasonable prices. The owner is friendly and happy to answer any questions. 😊
Sarah P: and has a forgotten appearance the few times I’ve stopped by. The indoor plants are very high quality but only a moderate selection and prices are higher than expected, even for San Francisco. On the flip side the owner, who can occasionally come off as distant or disinterested is a wealth of knowledge and is willing to help you source or order a special plant he doesn’t always carry in stock. He definitely loves and is very knowledgeable about plants. If you’re in the neighborhood check it out, might see something you’ve never seen before. Parking can be a challenge- especially on weekends…. But aren’t most people walking through the Castro anyway?
BlendedLives: Hortica is an exquisite refuge of green & light
Bailey Kidd: My absolute favorite plant store! We come and get a plant baby every time we're in the city. I love the open air section in the back, I spend extra time just taking in the quiet. We also love the owner! He's very quiet and kind, plant people are my kind of people.
dipika: Cute store with moderate supply of indoor and a vast supply of outdoor plants. Their pot / stand selection is limited, but their plant quality of care seems top notch and their store staff are friendly and helpful and informative.
Angie L Chang: I love this little shop. The owner is always friendly and kind. I learn so much everytime I stop by. Got a new citrus tree for my deck and the owner was so happy to help me learn. Thank you so much.
Alex Thornton: Always helpful and knowledgeable!! The prices can’t be beat either.
赵震: A magical place that has ever-changing collection from small house plants to big ones like umbrella tree and fiddle leave fig. I do recommend checking with the owner first before visiting if you have something particular in mind as it may not be available. Pricier than Home depot but the quality is higher per my limited experience.
Kaitlin Dean: I had an amazing experience! Everything was very neatly set up and I had no trouble finding what I was looking for! It was very hard to choose from a variety of amazing looking plants🌿🌱 When I checked out, I was treated very kindly and was helped with how to care for my plants. I recommend Hortica to all!
Eric Brager: Great customer service and plant selection. I called in with questions and they helped identify the right plant for me. When I came in the next day, they said "oh great we held one just in case you came in".
Aubrey Carstenson: Love this place and the person who owns it is incredibly knowledgeable about everything.
John Riggin: The owner at Hortica is always super friendly and helpful. A nice little spot in the community to pick up plants and potting supplies
Michael Pereira: . The plants are well taken care of and the ambience is peaceful. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and let us explore the shop. They have an outdoor section in the back which is nice too.

Joseph H Cannice: Lovely selection of plants, super friendly and helpful staff member! They also have a really nice loyalty rewards program.
Mary-Kay Chin: Wonderfully knowledgeable, thoughtful and generous with their time staff. Sure, pricy, but SF prices and convenience costs. Worth the money.
grace kneapler: As a first time home plant purchaser, I felt extremely taken care of by Winter! Winter guided me to the correct plants for the living conditions and left me with instructions for each. My house looks transformed!
Jesus Toscano: It's a nice simple plant shop. It's a Monday and I really liked the music that the lady was playing. She was playing some eve which is a Japanese artist.vill definitely buy plants from here one day.
N M: Really liking my plants I’ve gotten here. This place is super affordable in comparison to like any other plant store I’ve been to in sf. I would highly recommend here! They also do repotting for free if you buy aPlant!
Victoria: Beautiful plants, good prices and a awsome staff!
DW Sommerville: Amazing
S Lane: actually know about the plants and how to care for them. They also have a points system where you get a discount for your birthday, and also $ towards a plant once you’ve earned a certain amount of points. Only complaint about their store - the pricing for decorative pots are waaaay too high. I’ve seen the same pots for half the price at another store in the marina. Outside of that, you can start a plant family with plants as low as $15.
Fay Barteaux: What a lovely shop. The owner was very helpful, and to my delight, there is 20% off everything on Thursdays! I’m from out of town, but I will make a point to drop in for more plants next time I’m in SF.
Simone Vienneau: Most of our plants have been purchased in person at Plant Therapy’s O’Farrell location. Staff is friendly and helpful, selection is really good for a small space and we love our little family members we take home from here!
Steven Beverly: i just rode by this place on a bus and i can already tell i love it.edit: now i’ve been in! great selection of cute little plan friends, cute ceramics! smells so great inside and prices are good too!plants make great therapists, they never judge!
Kate Stephens: Such a cute store! Alexa was so nice and friendly, answered all of our plant-related questions, and helped us transport our plants home in a convenient sleeve. The plants here are mostly shade or indirect-sunlight plants which are perfect for apartment owners.

Natasha Kanhai: It will be sad to see this little neighborhood gem go. I spent a lot on their moving sale and will miss looking in their windows of greenery! We wish them luck in the new NYC location they are moving to.
Yiwei Ling: Stunning, well taken care of nursery with a huge selection of unusual plants and succulents. Great selection of pots and flowers too! Very sweet owner and staff.
Grace Nanay: So glad I found this place! Beautiful options and varieties along with some cute pottery options! Please ring the bell to enter when you go by. They have big, medium and large pieces to really consider how much space you have at home and which stuff to hide in your closet to make that room. Nearly all the plants there have their names on a small stick so you know what you're getting. They also have moss walls to check out that would give a contrast to any room. My favorite bit was after I got my plants, they gave me slips of papers to tell me how to take care of each plant. Definitely coming back for more
Vera Tzoneva: My favorite small business in San Francisco. The team cares a lot about every plant.
Vivi Haskins: Very nice smell and nice plants! Highly reccomend!
elham mausumi: Amazing service and a beautiful variety of plants
Honey Mann: I took a large terrarium to his shop and asked him to fill it for me with succulents. He did such an amazing job. I couldn't be happier.
Gloria Li: Absolutely amazing. My favorite plant shop of all time. Great work!!
Lina L: The most magical place for the lover of all things plants. The owners are not only extremely knowledgeable and talented, they are also incredibly gracious and kind. I purchased three new plant babies and plant to go back before we leave tomorrow morning to take a few more home. 💕
George Garcia: as everything is at a great price point. Do yourself a favor and stop in if you like to collect plants
Xarah Golden: The owners are so knowledgeable and they do their best to ensure that your new found plant will thrive. Prices are reasonable, and their selection of pottery/glass is so refined. I love coming in just to visit even if I’m not buying, has a wonderful zen atmosphere
Nico Robinson: If you ever find yourself in need of a space to calm the mind this is it. If you ever need a place to rebuild faith in humanity this is it. Hiro’s kindness is eclipsed only by his love for plants. You can purchase from the impressive selection of well priced plants or not but either way this unassuming plant shop will enrich your life.
Raymond Xu: Cool moss

Stephanie B Lumpkin: Super love this place,
Adriana Porter Felt: .
Yona Lo: Their staff are also very nice and knowledgeable. It may take a while to get someone because they don’t have a lot of staff, but also they would spend time to answer your questions! They have a restroom for customers to use, and it’s very clean! There’s also a cute fountain in the middle of the outdoor garden area. Moreover, there’s a chalkboard near the entrance showing their weekend special sales and discounts! If you need anything for your garden, indoor planting, or just want to wander around and vining with plants, this is definitely a great place for you to visit!
Misaghi Designs: Beautiful
Heather Gorawski: Beautiful nursery, great plant stock, but to me it is laid out a bit inconsistently. Really gorgeous nursery to walk around in, take visitors to. Enclosed greenhouse for all their indoor plants is fun to step into, and last I was there their rhododendron section was really popping off! Some Californian natives available, which is great to see, and if you catch the right staff member they are quite knowledgeable.
