Robert Tagao: I visited this shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi for the very first time yesterday. I really enjoyed walking into the scaled down replica of the actual Porziuncola Nuova that is located in Italy. The staff who greeted me, I forget her name, was very friendly and told me a lot about Saint Francis and how the Porziuncola Nuova replica was built.I am so proud to have such a beautiful and magnificent shrine in my North Beach neighborhood. I really recommend this place for a visit.

Star of the Sea Church: what do users think?

Brenda Mitchell: Visited from out of town. Beautiful sanctuary. Nice people.

Josué Martínez: This Church is beautiful, I can pray in peace.

Esmeralda Muñoz: Beautiful, beautiful place of worship. Looks like we are expecting our Lord. Blessed place to be.

Lorraine Grumet: Christmas Eve Midnight High Latin Mass

La Chele: Welcoming, excellent Latin Mass, beautiful choir, conservative priests and parishioners. A pleasant church atmosphere to devote quality time to our Lord.

rocky santoro: Eucharistic Adoration is here!!!

Sovereign Dayyouth Kafir: The church is physically beautiful, and the Latin Mass is truly uplifting, elevating, and gives a transcendent feeling of God present among His people. The homilies by the priests are intelligent, articulate, clear, and topical to today's world. Confession is even available before the Mass begins, and the priest who absolved me was so smart, so devout, and incisive about my sins and how to give me a meaningful penance. The shrines that surround the interior perimeter of the church at all of various appearances of Our Lady as we've needed her to intercede for us all over the world. On top of all that, the people I met there are incredibly welcoming, and they are careful to assure their children behave during Mass in ways that children haven't in other churches in decades. 10/10; absolutely recommend.

Royce Roy: Such a beautiful and well-maintained Roman Catholic Church on Geary Boulevard. During weekdays, the church has 3 daily masses, a rarity in progressive San Francisco. The early morning one is in Latin and the ones that I'd attented at 12 noon and 6pm are both in English.

Rock Anne: I cross the city to bring my family to the very reverent, gorgeous Masses here. Truly transcendent.I come for adoration and to say a rosary at a shrine of the Blessed Virgin Mary when I am in the area any other time. Open all day. It's amazing.Wonderful parish priests, community, and office staff. May God continue to bless Star of the Sea in SF.
