Pelvic Wellness & Physical Therapy: what do users think?

Dwain Coggins: Rachel was terrific. She is a very good listener and she is thoughtful about her subsequent recommendations

Lindsey R: Dr.Gelmen was truly a godsend for me after I had my baby. Months after giving birth I was experiencing intense pelvic and lower abdominal pain as well as sacrum pain. Dr.Gelmen was incredibly empathetic, kind and professional in how she reacted to my concerns and was so knowledgeable and skilled in ways to reduce my pain in all three areas. She makes you feel very comfortable and we had a lot of nice conversations during our sessions! As I got better, we gradually increased the time between our appointments until it was clear I didn’t need to come back at all. I’m so grateful for having found her and will no doubt be back if I have another baby!

Jamie Clausen: If I could give 10 stars I would! Rachel is the most knowledgeable person I know regarding the pelvic floor, associated conditions and physical therapy. I’m lucky to call her a colleague!

Kim Roth: Super knowledgeable about the pelvic floor and always gives the best advice!

Vicki Taylor: Rachel is an expert in her field and passionate about helping her clients live without pain and discomfort. I highly recommend Rachel!

Katie Hunter: Rachel is a fantastic physical therapist! I have had the pleasure of working with her and she is always professional and able to answer my pelvic health questions. She goes above and beyond for her patients always staying up-to-date in current research and treatments. I cannot recommend Rachel enough! Anyone in the SF area is lucky to have such an experienced PT to treat their pelvic floor conditions.

Rising Sun Physical Therapy: what do users think?

Jonah Raskin: Rising Sun Physical Therapy and Bettina Neumann helped me immensely. I was desperate when I first showed up. I am much much less desperate now. The sessions with Bettina on Sutter were very helpful; she also gave me exercises to do at home and she encouraged me, gave me positive reinforcement. I felt like she was with me every step of the way on the road to wellness. Jonah Raskin

Collin Chen: Wow, this place is wonderful. The level of personal care received that is tailored to your needs is excellent. I really connected with everyone I engaged with here and felt supported in my recovery. Highly recommend!

Cheryl Frank: Bettina Neumann is truly amazing. She has a broad knowledge of body work, lymphatic massage and an intuitive sense about healing. She is a gifted practitioner.

L Heffler: Fantastic service, great customer support. Therapy was done professionally and I had great results post operation.

Will Palmeri: Simone at Rising Sun is just phenomenal. I came in months after a biking accident with soreness in my arm/shoulder that wouldn't go away. She was able to pinpoint the issue and after a couple weeks of targeted exercises and therapy I already regained a ton of range in movement. Not only is Simone super knowledgeable and competent, she is a warm and kind person. She always puts me at ease and is happy to answer any questions, even those not related to my original injury. PT has actually become a highlight of my week!I seriously can't recommend Rising Sun highly enough. Plus they take insurance. Coming here has literally made my life better.

Eli Benway: I sought out Rising Sun after reading positive reviews. I have had 2 ankle surgeries and been dealing with chronic pain and hopeless feelings about my difficult recovery. I didn't go into PT with Simone with high hopes, but after 2 months I started to see a lot of progress. Now after 4 months, my pain is at an all time low and I'm building strength. My quality of life has increased and my outlook is positive. I didn't think I would get to this point. I can't say enough good things about Simone and Rising Sun. Definitely go here if you can.

Josiah Destin: If you have pelvic floor dysfunction as a male, you will quickly find not many physical therapists treat this. I only had a couple options in all of SF, and I’m so glad I went to Rising Sun.Bettina did an amazing job as a mental and physical coach through my recovery. The office has an awesome view of buildings in downtown. If you come here you’ll get the 1-on-1 training and attention you need to succeed! 5 stars!

Kayla Trindade: .In the last two months, my baseline level of pain has gone down, my hip pain has gone away completely from overcompensating for my knee, I'm able to stand for hours longer and going up and down stairs is hurting less. When my knee is sore after a long day of activity, the recovery period is SO much shorter now that I have the knowledge and tools to help get my knee back to normal and pain-free.I can't recommend Simone, and Rising Sun enough. I thought my knee was going to hurt forever and I was so shocked at our re-evaluation about things that used to hurt and don't anymore. Truly the best! Thank you!!!

Alicia Kartinos: Hello everyone!Rising Sun is amazing place to go to for PT. The reason for this post is to speak about the Deep Tissue Laser Therapy. You can use it on different body parts but I'm using it for my knees. Prior to the treatments I was considering knee replacement as I was in excruciating pain. It took approx. 4-6 weeks for it to start working. I go every other week. It has truly changed my life! I have so much more mobility and have very little pain. If you are dealing with any physical discomfort in your body please try this.I am forever grateful to Bettina and her team!!!I would be more than happy to discuss this with anyone that is curious about the laser. Bettina can put me in touch with you.Blessings................

John Lozynsky: Very thorough and professional. Your time is not wasted.

TJ McCarthy: I cannot recommend Rising Sun enough. Alondra at the front desk is super helpful and on top of everything, helps with making/changing appointments and getting out reminders and checking in each appointment, communicates over text as well which makes life really easy. The PT sessions are super super helpful, attentive and informative but also low stress and friendly. I was never worried about possibly making an injury worse which was a concern of mine before PT. Personally worked with Simone and she was great like A+++. I severed my achilles so it was a big injury and it is truly back to normal because of Rising Sun!

Cheryl Yakey: I received excellent care from Simone for my knee pain after a torn meniscus in my left knee and some arthritis in my right. The stretching and strengthening exercises, together with her physical manipulations, made a big difference for my knee discomfort. I recommend Rising Sun Physical Therapy highly. You will be well-served by their knowledge and professionalism.

nickgtv: Have been seeing Simone regarding a lymphedema issue--I've been very happy with the treatment process. In a fairly short period of time, I have seen noticeable changes occur. Progress is tracked carefully, Simone is quite thorough, patient, and has a good sense of humor! The office staff is also very helpful and conscientious. I cannot say anything but positive things about my experience here...definitely 5 stars!

Joseph Tucker: Bettina is a true healer. Physical therapy can be tough and frustrating sometimes, but Bettina is excellent at helping patients through the physical as well as emotional aspects of the treatment. You can tell she brings passion to her work and cares about the patient's outcome and overall wellbeing.

Mary Regan: My particular health concern has been hard to address. Bettina truly gets it and has been a big help even after just a few weeks. I'm hopeful for the first time in years.

Liana Nogic: I worked with Bettina for over a year for various chronic and acute issues and she is the best physical therapist I have ever had! When I first came to Rising Sun I was in constant pain and was unable to do many everyday things, and after working with Bettina I am now able be more active than I have been in years. She has such an incredible understanding of how the body works and is able to recommend a wide range of things both in and outside of physical therapy in a way that really helped me to set up me own healing process in a way I would not have been able to on my own.I really appreciate how she works with her patients and has a collaborative approach that made going to appointments something that I actually looked forward to. Thank you so much to Bettina and everyone at Rising Sun for all that you do!

Pelvic Health and Rehabilitation Center: what do users think?

Deepa Lounsbury: Jillian did a wonderful job helping me recover lost core strength from childbirth and old injuries! I am grateful.

Alyssa Whitwell: I highly recommend PHRC at Berkeley! When I first began working with Jillian, I was struggling with pain and mobility issues as a distance runner. She was able to empathize with me as a runner and helped build up my strength and flexibility. I'm currently running 30-50 miles a week and am preparing to run my first marathon -- and I could not have done it without her! Thanks Jillian!

Gwen Whittle: Dr. Summer Moss and the staff at PHRC are the best people. The check in staff is friendly, warm and easy to talk to, which sets you up with how easy it is to be treated by Dr. Moss. Dr. Moss explains everything very clearly, asks intelligent questions that never assume she knows the whole story before you answer. She is inventive in her solutions and always believes whole-heartedly that healing is possible. By doing the exercises she showed my in the office, along with her follow up emails detailing what we covered, I have been able to run without leaking for the first time in years. She also gave me the spark to actually run again, and it feels GREAT! Thanks Summer!!!

Michaella Morris: I highly recommend the Pelvic Health & Rehabilitation Center. It has been the best experience I have had in finding help for my pelvic floor issue. My physical therapist, Summer Moss, is excellent.

Archie Hansbury: Excellent experience at this facility , very helpful ,caring kind. Lisa and Jillian is a pleasure to work with. Thanks to both of them for their time helpfulness and support!

Astrid Heim: My OB-GYN referred me to Pelvic Health & Rehabilitation Center after experiencing debilitating pelvic pain during my menstrual cycle. I feel so grateful and thankful that Summer Moss was assigned as my pelvic floor therapist! She actively and thoughtfully listened to me. It felt like we were working together. Summer always made me feel that my perspective and questions mattered. The exercises that she taught me were so easy to physically do and incorporate into my day. After about a month, I was starting to feel positive results from our therapy sessions. Summer also empowered me to have deeper conversations with my OB-GYN to ensure that I was healing myself to the best of my ability. My pelvic floor therapy sessions have now come to an end, and I have the necessary tools for continued healing. Thank you, Summer, for changing my life for the better!

Jing Shia: My name is John R. "Randy" Staneck and I would like to thank my Physical Therapist, Jillian Cerda Ramos, for...hhmmm?.... now how should I put this?..."Getting things back to normal" for me!!! Jillian is so professional and knowledgeable, but fun at the same time, which I believe helped with my rehabilitation. She explained the exercises so very clearly that we were able to achieve the desired results ahead of schedule! She is the greatest! Thank you Jillian!!!I also want to mention what a delightful receptionist Lisa is! Such a positive lady! Cheers, all !!!

J.R. Ramon: I was fortunate enough to receive treatment from Dr. Summer Moss, and I describe the experience as life-changing. As a male-identifying patient, I was initially hesitant about what treatment might entail, but Dr. Moss immediately made me feel comfortable and hopeful. She was incredibly attentive, knowledgable, and detail-oriented. After our first consultation she masterfully diagnosed and created a treatment plan for a number of issues that I was experiencing. Over the course of our time together, Dr. Moss went the extra-mile every session to comprehensively ensure that she was providing me with everything I needed to be successful.Following our last visit, I realized that my life had improved dramatically across several dimensions, both physical and mental. Dr. Moss helped me get back to living life to its fullest, and I'm forever grateful. For anyone facing a degraded quality of life around Pelvic Floor issues, I strongly recommend you make an appointment with Dr. Moss! You will be aligning yourself with an expert who has the wisdom and motivation to help you through any issues!

Thao Leong: I highly recommend the Pelvic Health & Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Moss is incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and caring. She patiently and thoroughly answers all of my questions and provides many relevant scientific facts and resources, which I really appreciate. Thanks to her humor and calming demeanor, she makes a potentially awkward situation much more relaxed. I've learned a lot from every session and have seen noticeable improvements to my condition. The entire staff is super friendly and welcoming as well!

Marlena Madero: You gave me hope. Dear God I need you

Marie Anguiano: I had my first appointment today and I had a fantastic experience. I was seen by Melinda Fontaine and she was super knowledgeable, friendly, explained things thoroughly, a great listener and was very caring which was something I needed after all the things I’ve been through with my vulvodynia. She helped me realize some breakthroughs and gave me a lot of resources to help facilitate my healing journey. I recommend PHRC to anyone with pelvic floor dysfunction.

Sandhya Kasal: I visited this center for my urology symptoms and Dr.Summer was very patiently and diligently going through the process of consultation and examination. She answered all my doubts and made sure I understood. She made me feel comfortable too. I really appreciate for everything this center and Doctor has offered me. Thank you to them for helping me face and tackle my issues.

Mark Johnson: From the first call through my first patient visit everyone was professional and courteous.

Somatic Nature Physical Therapy SF: what do users think?

Alexandra Scolieri: I’ve seen many PTs over several years to do with chronic neck and back pain and Dr. Park has been the best by far. Her approach is special as you get to work one on one with her and she is extremely attentive. She helped me better understand my body and the root cause of my challenges which for the first time has given me confidence that I can eliminate my problem.

Nancy Hang: just to see Priscilla. Yes, Priscilla is that good and worth it. Like me, Priscilla has given my mom hope that she will regain her health and life back. Thank you Priscilla.

Alexander Feldman: Dr Priscilla has been immensely helpful on multiple occasions and my pain was alleviated. Her naturopathic consultations to reduce gut dysbiosis / digestive issues, and chronic inflammation have been extremely helpful.

Vivian Pan: Highly recommend for anyone who wants to get to the root issues of their injuries. Dr. Priscilla is incredibly patient focused, and will help you come up treatment plans to get back to daily life and your exercise routine. She is extremely patient and skilled on diagnosing and in treatment. For my car accident injury I was able to get help on easing pain in her office and at home very quickly, the treatment plan exercises she gave helped me get back into shape with correct posture and form. In addition to PT exercises, Dr. Priscilla goes above and beyond to help me get back to my exercise routine for yoga and weight lifting with the correct alignment and form base on my body range of motion. I’m thankful for her attention to detail as this will help prevent any future injuries.Physical therapy can be a long journey but Dr. Priscilla made it feel soothing and therapeutic with her kindness and compassion.

savvy healing: Meeting & working with Dr. Priscilla was life changing & a God send. She was so helpful in curing my pain that left me unable to walk. With her knowledge, wisdom & empathic nature, I gained faith in my healing. I made a complete turn around. If it wasn’t for Priscilla’s healing treatments, I don’t know where I’d be right now. I highly recommend working with her.

Jackie Kropp: I've been struggling with confusing, undiagnosed tailbone pain since I was about 8 years old. When the pain of each episode became almost unbearable in the last two years, I tried it all. My primary care provider, an orthopedist, x-rays, MRIs, special cushions - nothing gave me the answers or relief I was looking for. That was until I found Priscilla! I was originally drawn to Priscilla because of her roots in dance - and by the fact that she is a woman, making her uniquely qualified to help me finally understand the chronic pain that other practitioners dismissed. Women dealing with chronic pain and getting nowhere will understand that part. To cut to the chase: Priscilla gave me my life back. Her unique understanding of not just the body, but MY body and its specific needs, was the key I needed to unlock and heal the pain I was dealing with. More than that, her deep understanding of the somatic relationship between the mind and body completely changed my understanding of my pain and it's root cause. I truly believe that had I chosen a therapist with an understanding of only one of these disciplines, I would still be at square one. It was Priscilla's prowess for utilizing BOTH to treat me that was the secret sauce. I am so happy today, I have tears in my eyes writing this review. Thank you Priscilla, I owe you so much!

Francis Vu: and my shoulder is probably stronger than it was before my injury! She's given me a litany of advice, exercises, massages, and more for my shoulder and for general wellness. While she does provide some tough love, she's absolutely amazing at providing holistic wellness. She's kind, compassionate, and an interesting individual to talk to. Each session does feel like talking to a regular behavioral therapist while also getting the benefit of a physical therapist.I cannot recommend a physical therapist better than Dr. Priscilla. If you have a longstanding body pain or a new one, she should be the first person you see!

Jill Tiutan: TLDR - You won’t regret going to see Dr Priscilla.I first came to her about a year ago due to some discomfort in my hip, and after her diagnosis she was able to fix the issue and taught me how to prevent it from happening moving forward. After she fixed my hip issue, I decided to ask her to also fix a long standing knee pain issue that occasionally flared up. She again helped fix this issue for me and helped me identify what behaviors or environments triggered the pain, and how to both prevent and mitigate it. Since I’m feeling much better than I did before I started seeing her, I’ve continued going to her in the past year for general wellness.I work at a desk all day and didn’t have many good habits to help me take care of my physical health. During our sessions, Dr. Priscilla helped me build strength from scratch and worked on my alignment to complement my recent yoga/pilates interest. She’s also been helping me fix my tech neck and posture issues from work. Needless to say, seeing her has literally changed the way I live, and I feel my body becoming sooo much stronger and healthier – this is the best I've physically felt in ages. Thank you so much Dr. Priscilla!

Elisa Garcia Anzano: . At our peak, I was doing 3-4 times of 30 mins exercise a week.Through the treatment we identified a misaligned pelvis, one of my legs shorter than the other one, ankle never recovered from breaking years back, knee had been overcompensating for it, lots of weakness on my upper torso, and in general, bad posture and lack of strength/tone. All these things were making me live in pain. Now post treatment, I have zero pain. I am, feel and look strong. If I go hiking or carry my kiddo too much, Priscilla has taught me how to “fix myself” through simple stretches and exercises. Even my mood is better/lighter as I got rid of the pain and I am more active! Priscilla’s treatment was definitely life changing for me. I can’t recommend her enough!

Wailana Simcock: Priscilla comes with the highest recommendation from me. She is very intelligent, kind, and a master at what she does. She helped to rehabilitate my knee from a torn ACL. I am back dancing and performing thanks to her expertise. I am SO HAPPY I got opportunity to have her as my PT. If you're a dancer or athlete, you must see her!

Phil MacEachron: Dr. Priscilla is amazing. I’ve had neck and shoulder pain for a long time, and it was made worse after a snowboarding injury a few years ago. She carefully examined me to determine what the underlying issue was, created a comprehensive plan to help me recover, and was a pleasure to work with through the recovery. My favorite thing about working with her was how thorough she was at identifying the specific weaknesses in my body that were causing me to injure myself with bad form when exercises. I felt confident working with her that I was really addressing my fundamental issues, fixing my pain, and becoming healthier over all.

Matthew Flegal: When I first met with Dr. Priscilla I was coming off stem cell treatment to heal 17 torn ligaments around my right hip and dealing with painful arthritis in that hip. We worked through an intensive program of healing and training to get me from limping around to now being able to move with little to no pain. She also provided me with a better understanding of my body and the tools to keep healing and getting stronger. Dr. Priscilla has in depth technical knowledge and is always learning and sharing new things. She combines that with a powerful empathy and ability to listen to her patients, so it's really a complete healing process that she guides you through. I can't recommend her enough for whatever is ailing you!

zhang jessica: I'm really grateful for Priscilla's work. I injured one of my shoulders from working out and the other from bad posture. The pain was bothering me for a while, sometimes I even woke up from the pain if I turned in a bad position during sleep. I feel so lucky that I found Pricilla.Right from the start, she listened to my symptoms and examined the area. She is empathetic and amazing at what she does. I really enjoyed coming to see her twice week for the last couple of months. The pain went away. I feel much stronger, and more importantly, I am building new muscle memories to use my body correctly.

sarah farmer: I came to Priscilla after dislocating and breaking my ankle and going through surgery to put screws in the bone. I pretty much picked her name out of a long list of recommended PTs provided by my surgeon, and I couldn’t have gotten any luckier to have found her. She really cares about understanding the wellness of your whole body, and approaches healing techniques holistically. She offered multiple approaches for me to strengthen the healing bone through supplements, herbal remedies, mobility exercises, strengthening for the proximal muscles, cupping, and soft tissue manipulation.Midway through our work on my ankle Priscilla found out that I had been dealing with some shoulder joint pain for many years, and had never experienced any successful treatments. She took it on herself as a project to diagnose accurately for the first time after seeing many doctors over the years, and worked carefully with me to come up with exercises I could do to strengthen supporting muscles and ease the strain on others.I could not recommend Priscilla any more highly. She is a wonderful healer, and a delightful person to spend time with. She’s supportive, humorous, kind, and attentive. I would send any friend or family member to her for any injury or just to work on improving posture or strength. My favorite thing about working with Priscilla was feeling like she really heard and understood all my concerns and was ready to gently push me while ensuring that I was comfortable and feeling positive and listening to my body. It really has been the upside of experiencing a traumatic injury, and I’m very grateful to have an improved connection with and understanding of my body.

Amanda L: I was diagnosed with a hip labral tear and went to several sessions at another physiotherapy practice but was not noticing much improvement. I saw that Priscilla was very well reviewed online, so booked a consultation. Right from the start Priscilla listened carefully to what I said, and was very hands on in her treatment. After just a few sessions with her, I noticed a big improvement, and thanks to her deep expertise now have no more pain and have recovered a far greater range of motion than I had ever thought possible. Thank you, Priscilla!

Fanny C: I loved Priscilla holistic approach to her job. I came with multiple injuries: trigger fingers, tennis elbow, shoulder tendonitis and a misplaced rib. She addressed them one by one, directly but also indirectly by strengthening weaker muscles around the area. We used manual therapy, yoga, nutrition and supplements. She videotapes all the exercises which makes it much easier to reproduce them at home. And last but not least, she’s a great human being!

Fiona Tay: Priscilla is great at what she does! I've had weak ankles for years, and sprained one badly before a trip. Dr Park helped me get it under control with a variety of exercises. She explained the exercises well and got me on the road to recovery. I was at first hesitant about in-person sessions during covid times, but I don't regret it, I felt safe at my sessions and I only wished I'd started PT earlier.

Trish Janovic: I have been to more physical therapists than I can count, and Dr. Park has been the best I've experienced. She's incredibly knowledgable and dedicated to her patients. At other places I was feeling frustrated with how often I was being seen by multiple assistants and trainers at PTs offices. At Somatic Nature, I was seen only by Dr. Park and with her different methods of massage, cupping, stretching, strengthening, and yoga, I was able to gain strength that was gone for 7 years after getting an MPFL reconstruction. I wish I knew her 7 years ago! - Also she's very organized with appointments and billing which is so helpful.

Augustin Bralley: I had been struggling with pains and functional body issues for many years. Everything just seemed to be getting worse, not better. I'd tried dozens of other healing techniques... and nothing seemed to help. Then I met Dr. Priscilla. She showed me exactly what was going on in each of the areas I was struggling with and taught me how to fix it. The daily, targeted exercises are exactly what I needed to get on the road to a pain-free, functional body. She's also really personable and a joy to see every week. I almost wish I still needed to see her. Thank you, Priscilla!

Beacon Physical Therapy: what do users think?

Lauren Bayly Holmblad: Started going to Beacon 2 years ago for an acute injury and now this team is supporting me through a complex crisis as well. I owe my wellness solely to this group of PTs. They are bar none the best!!! Really didn’t know how effective PT could be.It doesn’t matter who you see — Hannah, Kurt, Charlie, etc. they are all absolutely phenomenal. Their knowledge / experiences / specialties are super impressive.Working on anything from shoulder, knee, pelvic floor, jaw, coccyx, hypermobility — and they are very well connected to specialists in high demand. And how rare it is that the front office is an absolute JOY! Quentin and Susan are professionals who really care. They make scheduling pleasant!!!!I do hate to leave this review because I want them all to myself but I am so grateful!

Gina: since 2019. I've seen therapists Lauren

Fred Tabsharani: My first meeting with Alison was spectacular. We spent the first part of my rehab journey discussing all of the current ailments. We then dove into what’s causing the pain and quickly we came to a conclusion. The organization is professional thorough and I highly recommend them. Even though I’ve been only to one session, I’m glad I picked Bacon for my long-term health.

Cynthia Chen: I can not say enough good things about Beacon PT! The front desk staff is so warm and friendly. Each of the physical therapists are extremely knowledgeable and dedicated. As lifelong learners, they do their part to continuously stay educated so they can ensure their patients are on the path to healing and well-being. I've had a 10 year history of ankle sprains and low back pain that has led to a chronic gait issue. It's bad. Beacon was the 7th PT I saw in that time frame. I can't believe how much I've improved in this last year. Thank you so much Kurt Gorrell and Charlie King! 3

Kate Crane: Charlie and Beacon are the gold standard of physical therapy. Charlie is kind, calm, empathetic, knowledgable, encouraging, experienced, and talented. Whatever challenge or restrictions you might be experiencing, Beacon should be the first stop for care and repair. This group is committed to patient mobility, recovery, and comfort. I am incredibly grateful to Charlie and the staff at Beacon for the healing I have experienced there.

Yasaman Mohsenin: I have been a patient of Beacon Physical Therapy for the last nine years! This practice saved me from a chronic pain that for many years doctors from top institutions couldn't pin down. I have worked for various issues with multiple therapists in the practice and the high quality is across therapist in this practice. The extra bonus is having pilates on site and your therapist and pilates instructor working closely in order to get you on your way to recovery. Last but not the least, the staff is great and always greet you with a smile, are efficient to answer questions or make appointments, and very responsive. Thank you Beacon Physical Therapy for all you are doing, you are amazing!

Melanie Stoll: A friend referred me to Kurt Gorrell when one year out from a discectomy I was still in a lot of pain with limited mobility. I was convinced I was headed for a fusion. Kurt helped me understand physically what was happening and then began to retrain me on how to first get myself out of pain and then to recognize the many micro movements and posture misalignments that were putting me there. We are not moving our bodies correctly, y'all! Kurt and his knowledgeable coworkers can help put you right. Now I'm 4 years out from that discectomy and enjoying hiking, mountain biking and skiing again. The knowledgeable, determined and individual attention from Kurt and Beacon PT got me there.

miriam crennan: I saw Charlie to help with my back rehab post lumbar spine surgery. Charlie is so compassionate, empathetic and encouraging. He inspired in me the confidence to run and return to work as an occupational therapist which all happened. Charlie developed a treatment plan that tailored all of the areas of dysfunction in a supportive way. He was always attentive to my emails post PT sessions and ensured that I was doing the exercises properly and on the right road to recovery. I am so grateful that I was under Charlie's care. Thank you Charlie.

Jane Hurlburt: I've received PT on neck, shoulders, lower back and have always received excellent care. As a +70 yrs active senior, the treatments I have received keep me moving and enjoying the physical activities I love. I also take Pilates at the clinic which helps my balance and core strength. I highly recommend Beacon - the entire staff is professional, knowledgeable and caring.

R DanielH: Charley King at Beacon PT has been treating me for various issues for over a decade. He began by working with me to treat a longstanding problem from a herniated disc in my lower back. Under his guidance and treatment, my pain and discomfort were completely alleviated. I can now work-out extensively with no problems. When a I developed a problem with my left knee, his regimen enabled me to avoid surgery. More recently, He has relieved me of discomfort from plantar fasciitis and a torn labrum/rotator cuff in a shoulder. He is an outstanding and I recommend him highly.Charley and his staff are all very welcoming and personable.

Cynthia Johanson: and chronic neck pain/headaches. Their approach is to target the causes of the pain at all layers from the skeletal through the muscle and everything in between. I always leave with the pain gone- it’s like magic. They have a deep knowledge of how everything is connected and using that to find the root cause. Whenever I have pain, this is the first place I go. And their office managers are so kind too!

Eric G: , he's also the best doctor of any kind that I've encountered. His determination and passion for getting you well will inspire you. And he’s also one of the nicest, kindest, most interesting and fun human beings you’ll ever meet. All the other therapists I saw spoke of needing to get down to healing and changing deeper patterns of movements that led to my being injured, but ONLY Charlie offered a deeper understanding of what was wrong along with systematic plan for changing and ultimately getting better. In other words, he's much more thorough, serious and determined to get the job done, and inspires a commitment to long term solutions on top of initial strategies for healing. The other physical therapists at BEACON PT are excellent too. Hannah Carey has helped me tremendously with pelvic floor issues in collaboration with Charlie. And the office staff, Quintin and Susan, are themselves extraordinary in their generosity, kindness and efficiency. They will make you feel completely welcome.

Josh Mangum: . So I asked my friend, a physical therapist, who she would recommend. She said Beacon was doing some of the best work in the Bay Area.I’m having a terrific experience with Kurt. He’s treating me with a combination of exercises, soft tissue mobilization

Audrey Vu: I've struggled for over a decade with a severely stiff back, an unstable SI joint, and chronic pain up and down the right side of my body. I've seen half a dozen physical therapists plus various chiropractors, rolf practitioners and acupuncturists.I've seen both Charlie and Lauren at Beacon, and they are hands down the best. They are masters of their craft and have been absolutely game-changing in my healing journey, always working on the broader systemic issues rather than treating just the area presenting with pain. Slowly but surely, my stability and mobility have improved and I'm able to be more active again. I recommend both of them wholeheartedly. The entire staff is also incredibly friendly, particularly Quintin at the front desk who is an absolute gem of a human. Thanks Beacon staff for the incredible service.

Marilyn Moohr: Beacon Physical Therapy is being a real boon in my life. Kurt, my IPA therapist, Kurt Correll, borders on being a miracle worker. I am amazed by the enormous strides we are making with my chronic problems. In the few short months that I have been seeing Kurt my pain level has decreased to the point that I rarely take even an NSAID, let alone a prescription pain killer. My ability to move comfortably has increased exponentially. The atmosphere of the center is very warm and caring.

Ellen Kocins: Highly, highly recommend Beacon Physical Therapy. As an aging athlete, I've been to several PT's over the years and know first-hand the depth of knowledge and expertise that Dr. Charlie King brings to every appointment. Dr. King has helped me to almost eliminate my low-back/hip/pelvis pain with his manual therapy, muscle release, stretches and exercises. Dr. King also helped my daughter tremendously with post-surgical therapy on her foot. Extremely professional and thorough. Very friendly staff and office.

Susan Kim-Stuart: Allison is a godsend. My 12 y.o. son has been seeing her here every week for 3 years now. She brings so much knowledge, experience, and creativity to their sessions, and he would easily admit that he finds their workouts fun! Most importantly she treats him with a unique humanity, kindness, and encouragement. All this and she has an impressive list of credentials, which is clear when you see her at work. The front desk is always kind and helpful and the warm vibe of the office is felt right away.
