Chrissy M: was there from the very beginning of my admission as I had to be transported from another hospital that was not equipped to deliver a baby preterm. We got a few visits from the Director himself to check in on how I was doing. Everyone was on top of things and were always helpful. Dr. Loc-Le made sure that we were informed of implications of preterm labour and he was proactive in ensuring that we get all the information that we need to make informed decisions about our baby.From start to end, we did not feel like we were alone. The NICU nurses were always reassuring and reminding me to take care of myself during my recovery. They genuinely cared about my health as a mother and that in itself is truly priceless. The L&D nurses were on top of things and generous in giving me what I needed - very patient in explaining everything that I had to do or what they were about to do for me. I felt like I was being taken cared of as much as my baby is. Dr. Rittenhouse was direct, straightforward and definitely knew what he was doing. C C: Went to SF the night of 13th for early morning procedures. 9 a.m. test went slow due to patient but this delayed noon time procedure. After all the delays, last procedure completed around 4 pm and following recovery time it was after 6 to get discharged then another 45 min plus to link up at patient pickup spot. Got home after 9 p.m. All in all everyone was pleasant and friendly but it was a long day. Dr. Lyn was great and always made us feel comfortable. Good Doctors and staff. Since then, he had to get a defibrillator just to help his heart beat regularly, also did a heart ablation in Oakland at summit hospital.Years went on and at the age of 53, my dad went into a cardiogenic shock, the most scariest day of my life, I was not even sure if my dad was going to make it. On August 18th, 2023 he was transferred here to CPMC where they were the only doctors who could give him the proper care and treatment to keep him alive, day 1, he was on a ventilator, could not breathe on his own, lungs did not work, kidneys started to fail, heart function was at a very low percent, he was on life support, a machine that kept his heart pumping, so many things were happening to my dad. He spent months on life support fighting for his life and finally on November 6th, my father got blessed with a donor who saved him, I am forever thankful for the whole team here at CPMC, so much support and love for my father, surgery went so well here, he did a heart transplant and kidney transplant same day and now he is home and well, walking, driving, me and my dad go out and have fun! It’s like nothing ever happened. He’s so healthy and without CPMC helping my dad get a donor and the surgical team who took great care of my dad, he would not be here today if it wasn’t for you.It was a very long hard road for me. I watched my dad since the first day he got here, from the tubal removal, to talking for the first time after the surgery, to walking, to laughing, to driving.You are all the best here!! paul shkuratov: I stayed in this Hospital from August 6-16. When I arrived at ER,Doctor Patel,told me that I was already sever ill with temperature over 106. I had a huge infection in my leg. Doctors in ER,hooked me up with IV antibiotic right away. My room was clean and nice with the great view of SF,5th floor. The care I received from Doctors and Nurses,great. The medical staff were efficient, yet empathetic and tried their best to make his stay as comfortable as is possible in these situations.
