The country-style lodge was constructed in the 1930s from Monterey Cypress and originally used as an Army clubhouse. Its versatile floor plan and open space make the space suitable for a wide variety of events, including wedding ceremonies, receptions, meetings, and corporate events.

Natural wooden beams and stone add a timeless atmosphere. Rustic wagon-wheel-style chandeliers offer a warm, welcoming light. A crackling fireplace makes for an idyllic backdrop. Large windows provide a great view and plenty of natural light.

The grand ballroom has a killer view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Wow, the view is worth the price of the venue. The Ventana ballroom, chapel, and side room are of the old San Francisco Spanish Colonial design. Beautiful and classy.

The contrast of the emerald, green lawns, red brick buildings, and bright blue skies will take your breath away!

The Golden Gate Club and the surrounding Presidio grounds are just beautiful. We loved the large windows in the Ventana Room (where you can see the Golden Gate Bridge on a clear day), the high ceilings, and the patio. The building, both inside and out, is simple and classic -- a nice blank slate for your own decoration. The Presidio is just such a beautiful venue, especially for out-of-towners to see a different part of San Francisco . . . Our final thought: We loved it!

The Golden Gate Club was the perfect place to enjoy the warm sun and gorgeous blue sky with trees all around. I love that wherever you go in this venue there are huge windows to showcase the view outside, its best feature. The rooms themselves are perfect for a traditional wedding, with lots of little pockets of space that can work for cocktail hours, dessert rooms, etc. I loved the soaring ceilings and cute little stage in the reception room. The place is very well-maintained and great for a woodsy feeling event not too far from the center of the city!
