By breaking our silence, we aim to create a world without domestic violence where every man, woman, and family can feel safe and protected.

To honor those we have lost to domestic violence, we encourage participants to run or walk 22 miles in 22 days. It’s a meaningful way to raise awareness and show solidarity with survivors.

Theresa’s Fund, DomesticShelters.org and experts in the field have combined forces to develop and launch the first comprehensive awards program honoring the countless heroes of the domestic violence movement, including advocates, programs, shelters, survivors and members of the community support system.

We use a variety of platforms to connect survivors and families. From our social media presence to our Survivor Support Line, our volunteers are available 365 days a year.


Our BTSADV family consists of women, men, and children who are survivors of abuse and families affected by abuse. Their passion for helping others is a constant source of support and connection.


Once clients receive the additional support they need from us, they are equipped and inspired to advocate for others. Encouraging advocacy enables us to build upon our mission with a growing team of volunteers.

A stable home helps residents get adequate treatment and start on the path toward recovery. Sister League of San Diego’s affordable housing and support services enable our residents to live as independently as possible.

Sister League of San Diego (SLSD) provides safe housing and supportive day programming to adult women affected by mental health issues, homelessness, trauma and domestic abuse. Our long-term goal is to develop confident and self-sufficient women.
