Classics Malt Shop: what do users think?

ken ray: OMG!!!My wife and I are in San Diego to visit family and were hoping to find a good burger. Well we failed to find a “good” burger, instead we found a great one! Classics Malt Shop was a place my cousin had mentioned when he was alive. We decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did. The burgers were great, the hand cut fries and the onion rings sure didn’t disappoint either. My wife couldn’t stop talking about the black cherry shake she ordered either. The atmosphere was both welcoming and authentic just like back when I was a kid. The management and staff were very friendly and welcoming as well. If I had to say one negative it would be that I had to leave. But I left with a full stomach and looking forward to returning for another meal before we leave Sam Diego. GREAT FOOD, SERVICE, AND ATMOSPHERE!!!!!

John Anthony: I work on their fire and life safety systems. Finally made it in for some lunch. One of the best classic burgers I've ever had. Not only is the food top tower for American Diner standards, the owner Jeff is such a character. Remembers his clientele by name, and their usual orders. Makes every customer feel like everything is perfect, and goes above and beyond. Definitely a spot to check out and make a routine stop to. Fresh beef, fresh fries, and fresh shakes. Can't go wrong.

Nick (SICKNICKERONI): Good food, very good malts and shakes. Got a strawberry malt before I left and it was definitely one of if not the best I've ever had.Their burgers appear to be a standard size of 1/4 lb and I'm not sure if you can modify it so be ready to take something home if you're not the hungriest person.

Lisa Munde: I would give 1000 stars if I could. We stumbled upon Midway Classic Malt Shop after swim lessons nearby. Now it's a weekly tradition. The service is incredible as the owner makes you feel like you're a regular in a small town--he knows my kiddos names now and even their order! The food is also fantastic--we especially love the zucchini sticks and homemade ranch. This would be a great place to go with visitors or even as a meet up spot with other families. We're so lucky we found this gem in our community!

Slater’s 50/50: what do users think?

T M: so got it again. I think as a burger, it is pretty good. But for the price, not sure I'd come back for a while. Relatively small portion too. Tornado dip was disappointing.Service was very nice and attentive. Fries were good. Think if I was hungrier coming into it, I'd have a more favorable review.

lilli: and fyi they were BOMB. 10/10 experience from Maria. 10/10 food and ambience. This place is very clean they have multiple tvs a full bar indoor & outdoor dining, over all everything we got to eat was delicious and we had the pleasure of being served by the one and only maria!

Carlos Paxao: This trip to Slaters was fantastic, came by after my eifes mothers funeral, so funny moms favorite game was Bingo and for the family was so surprised. They were all so over joyed and to top it off the were three time winners. We had a great time and everyone was so friendly kohl behind the bar made everyone happy, you have the greatest bingo caller Maria and Bodie one of these ladies is only 7yrs old !!! Juston Erwin: We recently visited with a wedding gift card. We aren't generally big spenders at restaurants but we have no regrets about this one. We had never been prior and we had a pretty wonderful experience overall. We did get a variety of things from all over the menu. Definitely enjoyed everything we got.The server was very nice and gave us some legitimately helpful tips about ordering. For example, the 22 oz steak that we ordered would take a decent amount of time to prepare. The waitress was ready available when needed and we constantly had fresh food in front of us without anything piling up.We of course had dessert and everything was delicious. I do wish the carrot cake had more actual cake to it. It was delicious regardless. The pineapple matcha ice cream was absolutely delicious and very unique. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful. It has a very rustic but modern feel. I didn't find my chair to be that comfortable. I think the back was angled back a little bit too much.

Kylie Ozols: !!Things I recommend:“Bites”section, the yellowtail tostada, smoked rolls and squash blossoms are always a favorite of mine.“Small Plates” section, the Japanese Sweet Potatoes and the Ravioli

Jessica Miller: The food was amazing. The service was a little slow, but everything we ordered was delicious. I would go back to try more things.Parking: Paid valet

Mister A's: what do users think?

David Mason: Great views, good, and service

Mary N: Went to Mister A's for birthday celebrations. The views are incredible and certainly made the evening that much more special! The service was good, and everyone was attentive. However, we never did get the bread after being asked twice if we would like it. The French onion soup was amazing! Would have enjoyed the salmon wellington more if it was not cut into slices. After all, the best part about wellington is the puff pastry. The rib eye was delicious and tender. The lobster looked fantastic. The brussel sprouts were too charred for my liking. The lemon desert was so tart and yummy. The carrot cake cheese cake lacked flavor but was incredibly smooth and creamy. Overall a great meal and evening!

Morton's The Steakhouse: what do users think?

Brandon Carter: , the bartenders were great. I had the chips, they are homemade and they give you a lot for the price. Drinks were good, but the only complaint I have is when we sit at the bar they toss the empty bottle in the trash which makes a very loud clanking noise, it happened both times we were there. It reminded me of when I went to a noisy club or dive bar back in the day. In a loud atmosphere I don't mind it that much but in the atmosphere here it's a little distracting, I'm just nit picking, but if I was paying $60 for a steak at the bar I don't want the staff smashing bottles next to me.

김재성: Food, atmosphere, service, especially desserts are unforgettable.best restaurant

Robroy Fawcett: Historic. Exquisite. Home. This is Morton’s San Diego. I had the 16 oz. Ribeye with Corn Soufflé. My steak was cooked perfectly to Medium Rare. The garlic butter complimented the Snake River Farm beef wonderfully. My French Onion soup was hearty and came with a perfect top of broiled cheese. And lastly, the Disaronno Sour and Godfather drinks were mixed with excellent craft and presentation.

Monica Moore: This was a quaint diner. The food was delicious and of good quality. I got French toast and eggs. My husband got a burger with tater tots. We both also got a dinner to go. The mashed potatoes were the best I have ever had. The staff were attentive and not pushy.Parking: Parking available behind the restaurant.

Amy Montgomery: Fabulous Meatloaf!!

Christina De La Pena: The food was tasty. The service was good and pleasant. There are a couple of patio seating where pups are allowed to sit. Parking is a pain if the small parking lot is full.Parking: There is a free small parking lot in the back. Read the signs it's shared with the liquor store.

Great Maple - Hillcrest: what do users think?

Ray Frohnhoefer: We came with a group of friends, and no one left hungry. Cocktails were strong, and the food was delicious. Three of us had the duck confit risotto, and it was excellent. Creamy and cheesy risotto with what seemed to be a whole duck breast or more shredded in it. We were full, and there was enough leftover for a second meal each. On past visits, I've had the salted caramel ribs, which were tender and tasty.

Jeff Neylon: Just stopped in for some beignets to take home for dessert. They make excellent beignets!Food: 4/5Recommended dishes Beignets …

Jack Kim: No words. You just have to try it. Beef brisket hash and maple bacon donuts 🥓 🍩
