Patricia Stoddard: I love this small business to death, but their hours kill my availability. I can barely ever find time to go there because their always closed when I’m off from work. Overall, the two ladies who have been working their for years are AWESOME, friendly helpful, and it’s the ONLY store I go to for ballet and jazz shoes. Literally the only one local place besides downtown Sacramento And I love them. I’m been going there for 10 years now. Go here dancers!

I would have let you go first while I was picking stuff out.

I wanted a studio with experienced, caring and nurturing teachers that taught proper skills and technique in various styles of dance. My daughter wanted to do it all!!! I also wanted a positive environment for my kids. My child has been at this studio for a year and a half and made incredible growth not just as a dancer but as an individual. She has come out of her shell, gained confidence and self esteem. What she has gained in dance has carried over into her education. She excels in all subjects! She’s more responsible, has learned to always encourage others, work hard for what you want, the importance of commitment and self growth, the list goes on! ALL of the teachers are amazing and always have the child’s best interest. I love that they promote positivity with all the students and strive to have all of dancers always encourage and uplift each other. My child has grown as a dancer, made amazing life long friends. Now my 3 year dances here and I have her in 3 classes! We love it here! A true close knit dance family. I drive all the way from Natomas 3-4 days a week, it is well worth the drive! There is no other studio we would rather be at!

It’s great how this school introduces children to dance early on and travels to different daycares/preschools around the area to teach. My daughter loved it so much she continued at the studio once in grade school. It’s helped her confidence and the teachers are very encouraging!

They used the Band app to to help make communication easy and so you always know what is going on and what is expected during class and for shows. We absolutely love them and feel like part of their family, I highly recommend them!

Ms. Melissa is amazing she teaches the children at their level and helps them learn the ballet techniques and build confidence. She is great with the students the littles all the way to teens she connects with them and helps them learn and grow. We just participated in our first nutcracker season and performance! It was a wonderful experience all the students worked so hard and the show was magical! Ms. Melissa and the other teachers are the best! My daughter is excited to continue dancing and we are now signing up her little sister and brother!

There were many kids around when we arrived and they all seemed very happy. The prices seem reasonable. We look forward to more classes! This place seems like a hidden gem! I love that the teacher also posts videos of their choreography each week so students can practice at home too.

Kathi Rutherdale: I cannot say enough good things about Miss Felicia and Divergence Dance Conservatory! You will not find a more caring and compassionate dance teacher. My daughter has danced with her for many years and has grown tremendously during that time. Felicia incorporates so many well-established and new techniques to the classes, which is a great combination. Felicia is always evolving and learning more her craft, which makes for such well-rounded dancers! Felicia cares about your child's physical and mental well-being in and out of class, which is a rare find. She is also extremely connected to the local dance community, and often has master classes taught by some of the best teachers in the area. DDC is very inclusive and all are welcome, it is a true safe space for your child.
Melanie Fiffick: This is such a family friendly dance studio. The front lobby is spacious and there are toys for children to play with as they wait for class. My daughter has been taking ballet and tap from Ms. Felicia for a few years now and it is an absolute joy to work with her. Ms. Felicia teaches them dance, terminology, and human anatomy. She pours her knowledge out onto her students and they soak it up like little sponges. It is so much fun to watch the children learn and grow together as a team. I have made so many friends here, to me it is not just a dance studio, it is a community.

April Stephens: My daughter trains in the Upper Conservatory Division, her passion is classical ballet. We came to NCDC this year to continue to strengthen and develop her classical ballet technique in a pre-professional setting. She was also wanting to round out her training in contemporary -- contemporary technique was needed to help her meet the demands of the rapidly evolving ballet world. She chose NCDC because they offer many different performance opportunities to develop her as emerging young artist. The quality of the instruction is top notch and supportive. Most importantly, my daughter loves the friendships she has quickly made at NCDC!

Finding The Force: So I just took my daughter here a couple days ago for a free trial dance class. She loved it! Instructor was very attentive and gave all the kids in the class special attention. I also feel like it challenged my daughters balance and coordination more than a gymnastics class she was in from a different business. My wife and I both put our names on a waitlist, hopefully they will begin adult hip-hop classes very soon.We will also be signing our daughter up for regular dance classes.

The choreographer the choreographers give is so great! And the staff are so kind! The studio its self is amazing! I like how you can see what's going and the parents can watch there kids! One thing I do suggest is to pls fix the camera for jazz and contemporary its so yellow! Anyways if you are looking for a new dance studio I definitely recommend it!
