Maidu Museum & Historic Site: what do users think?

Dee M: We had the tour and it was fantastic. Learned so much about the Nisenan culture that lived in the area thousands of years ago. The Nisenan Maidu culture was deeply rooted in nature. Petroglyphs and evidence of this ancient culture is still present. I highly recommend this tour.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Emily Galassi: Came here for a field trip day for my homeschool on their free museum day. We learned a lot about the Nisenan Native Americans. It was very interactive for children. Personally enjoyed their table that you could touch many different items like the pelts and even a deer foot! My daughter enjoyed feeling a snake skin. Would highly recommend checking it out.

Andy M: First time coming here.Parking is a bit confusing, with no designated parking lot. Unless you park in the activity area which was closed. So we had to park on the street, next to apartments. The museum is almost hidden in a sense. It's modern and not that visible besides the sign out by the sidewalk. The inside is really nice and clean. Really cool stuff, and the gentleman working the front desk was very friendly and welcomed our family. We came on a Wednesday so not that many people besides us, maybe if most 3 other families. The admission is $5 for adults. Children under 5 are free. They also have outdoor seating before you hit the walking trail. The trail is not that long, btw, nice sites as you walk. The museum is stroller friendly. As far as the trail, it can get bumpy if you take a stroller on the trail. Very small museum but a relaxing experience.

J L: are sourced and delivered. There are games, scavenger hunts, and tons of interactive displays about conservation, decomposition, recycling, reusing, reducing, etc. Because it's all hands-on, kids love it and everything's really quite engaging. The whole place is well lighted and designed and just very welcoming b/c it's so filled with colorful and creative posters, demonstrations, and activities. It's also fun for parents and other adults. There are also various programs held here to educate the public about topics like composting, gardening, conserving energy, and special programs for kids to learn about the application of science and technology. Overall, this is a really wonderful center for exploration!

Lin: My son loves here soooooo much. We try to join the activity every month since I found out about it. After the activity is over, my son has a lot of fun in the Utility center, like playing magnets, electric generators, pizzles, ect. The workers and volunteers are super nice and patient. My son always asks to stay another 10 minutes and another 10 minutes. He doesn't want to leave every time we are there.

Water Heaters Only, Inc.: We had a great time at the recent Roseville Earth Festival. The utility exploration hosted the event and they did a great job! The library inside is a great resource for young kids to learn about earth conservation and earth sciences. Also the locally made up-cycled art hanging on the walls is a real eye catcher. I recommend at least one trip to the center just to see what they have going on. However, the Earth festival was amazing, great food trucks, live music and animal and fashion shows. Lots of tips for conservation, plus cool energy and water saving products!

Blue Line Arts: what do users think?

kimi k.: I was impressed. It's a place I've been interested in for a while and wanted to come.I came to see Big Boy today and took a look at Blue Line Arts. They were preparing for tomorrow's members-only event, but I was able to take a look around. The staff were very kind and let me in.It was a sneak preview. When I see art like this, I feel calm, I'm surprised, I see expressions like this, even ordinary things can come alive depending on the expression, so it's fun.I was surprised that the inside was larger than I expected.Actually, I went to see Big Boy in this scorching heat and it was pretty exhausting, so next time I'll take my time and enjoy it.Thank you for being able to see it

Anna Miller: Blue Line hosted a spring break camp that I sent about 30 students to. Our students had such an amazing time! They learned so many new skills including pottery, drawing and digital animation. Every day when my students came back from camp they were so excited to share their projects and what they worked on!

I was a Fine Art major in college and have an appreciation for local art outlets such as this. I could see myself going back with my wife at some point, as it is within walking distance from my house.

Tumpsky and Mrs Small: I came to watch the free portrait painting session and came a day to early, but spoke with a nice young lady at the front reception area and she was delightful. She told me all about the membership and the events, and I was welcome to look around. It was very enlightening. They need volunteers for events with kids to make art.

M L: Located downtown Roseville, this is a lovely gallery that is cleverly curated with some of the best artists from California. We viewed oils, pastels and water colors produced by artists from the bay area, Sacramento and Northern California. The art is for sale. While it's not a large place, the layout of the exhibition was enjoyable.

Danielle B: Just visited with a small group of family to see the release of their Mexican American history in Roseville. Not a lot of people know about the true history of Mexicans who fled to Roseville for a better life & made something of themselves. My grandparents who worked side by side with Saint Rose Church & their brothers & and sisters endeavors, along with many other families, including the Carmelitas Restaurant family & the Tortilla Factory Restaurant family, now have a nice spot in this museum for future generations to see. Thank you, Fran & the other volunteers here who worked endlessly to make this happen!

Roseville Theatre Arts Academy: what do users think?

Anna Do: Such a gem of a place! I took one of my gfs here to see a show and we had such a blast! We had no idea it was a children’s theatre and really enjoyed seeing all the children perform. They were all so talented and enthusiastic. I loved the set and the costumes. It really was such a wholesome experience and I can’t wait to continue supporting the theatre and attending more shows in the future.

cindy hanna: Our family came for a family-friendly show, discovered the summer camps and community show opportunities for kids, and 'stayed' for the incredibly supportive environment in which the kids are taught to give their all and believe in themselves and each other. This place is an incredible resource for our community and truly a labor of love by the staff and volunteers who make it possible.

Andres Solis REALTOR (myplacercountyhome): Great theater program and amazing staff. Glad to support a great local small business. Great scenery while you wait for your actors and actresses.

Abby B: Did a play here, amazing

Chavesta: very nice! saw a performance of the lighting thief and it was great, the old theater is very beautiful

DrWilson: It was so cool

Linda E Navarro: Roseville Theatre Arts Academy was recommended to me by a good friend of ours. She new that our girls were filled with so much character and sass. They said "try it at least once and see if the girls like it". Well, it's been two years and my girls love it. The girls rave on how awesome all the directors are. They are so inspired by them. This is just the type of environment I want my girls to be in. They love the singing, acting and their scripts. Most of all they love when family and friends come out to watch their performances. They are all too cute!

Cecilia Shevlin: We just took our parents, our daughter, our grandkids and a friend, ages stretching from 6 to 91, to see the production of The Little Mermaid. Every one of us thoroughly enjoyed this fabulously managed production! The costumes, the acting, the singing, the stage props, everything seemed so professionally performed! I will be lining up to purchase tickets for every performance they put on from now on. I just wish I had found this sooner.

Ashlyn Carothers: I go to the theater and Jennifer and Collton is are so nice come and watch their plays man they are awasome

Dave Perez: The Christmas show was awesome my nephew now wants to attend the Theater Art Academy

It was closed for a while due to the COVID-19, but it has finally reopened. It's only open from 10:00Am to 2:00Pm on the first Saturday of every month.very informative phone history. It was very helpful because it was very easy to understand and kind because it was explained on the tour. It's wonderful to preserve and display that many things in good condition.I was very impressed to see things I had never seen before on display.Thank you again

Sue Stryker: fixed that problem by inventing a mechanical switch mechanism that bypassed the switchboard operator.Let’s give Myrtle a little credit in the future. All the time would be the right thing to do but particularly when there are little girls and boys listening and also when retired Telephone Company employees are present. Operator’s made quick emergency connections that saved lives. My Mother, who is 84 yrs old, was with me today listening to this “history.” She was a Ma Bell Information Operator and an Engineer’s Assistant who physically checked on circuit equipment. She was and is no dummy.

However, I noticed a bit of a distraction due to the office being in the same place. This setup sometimes affected the peacefulness of the temple, which is something to consider for those seeking a tranquil experience. Nonetheless, the beauty of the idols and the priest's wisdom make it worth it
