4worldlovers: BE BOLD partners at-risk youth with a specially trained CASA they can trust, learn with, and grow alongside. Youth and their partners meet weekly for fun, skill-building activities and come together once a month with a group of their peers to support one another and create their own community.

LEVEL UP Youth Program works alongside youth to develop meaningful and trusting relationships, engage in positive, prosocial activities, and help youth connect to restorative justice/community service opportunities.

K9s 4 Kids gives children who are experiencing trauma a chance to love and be loved by a polite, well behaved and well socialized dog. A dog can help facilitate an appropriate emotional connection for youth who have a hard time connecting with others.

Family Mentors are CASAs with additional training to support at-risk parents who are either striving to reunify with their children, are recovering from substance use disorder or domestic violence, or are just struggling to hold their families together.

Prosper Placer serves families who live at or below the poverty level and are motivated to make lasting changes in their lives. Prosper Placer brings together volunteers and parents in group settings to develop an intentional community of support, where volunteers help parents by sharing their knowledge, connections, and friendship.

Each week throughout the month of March CRH is organizing regular events & activities to bring some nutritional fun, education, and engagement to our campus.

From preschool to teen programs, the Children’s Receiving Home delivers tailored care by expert clinicians, case managers and skills trainers. We remain committed to lift up the region’s most vulnerable children and families.

With counseling and family resource centers in Auburn and Roseville, our programs target the most vulnerable children, families and neighborhoods. 90,000 children resided in Placer County in 2018. Of that number, over 3,400 child abuse and/or child neglect allegations were made. Last year, KidsFirst served nearly 3,300 children & 2,600 families through our direct programs & services. We serve a vast and diverse population in the greater Placer County region.

KidsFirst receives client referrals through partnerships with community-based organizations and public services such as Child Welfare System and Placer County Victim Services Center. We also receive referrals from schools, courts, law enforcement agencies, and healthcare providers.

KidsFirst reaches out to the community to raise awareness and accessibility. KidsFirst reached almost 25,000 individuals through our programs, services and community outreach events.

4worldlovers: Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada has expanded its services in Placer County, California through its collaboration with the City of Roseville. VOA now manages Home Start Inc. and has completed the renovation to the Home Start campus in Roseville to enhance its ability to address the problem of homelessness and provide access to services needed by the Home Start clients.

The Affordable Housing for Families in Need program focuses on homeless families and provides affordable housing to those in need in 21 of the units on the Home Start campus on Riverside Avenue in downtown Roseville.
