Sutter Roseville Medical Center Birth Center: what do users think?

victoria martinez: Non stress test, station were really nice and caring! I enjoyed my time here while being pregnant!

Brenda Aguirre: Lisa is the sweetest nurse ever!! Everyone made me feel super safe and welcome. I have serious hospital/doctor anxiety and they made sure I felt calm. Can’t say it enough how much Lisa rocks btw 💕

Cori: feel so comfortable and our needs heard! I really felt like I had my best friend in the delivery room with me! We will never forget it. Thank you Sutter!

Micah Lagge: All of the nurses that helped me through my delivery were extremely attentive and caring and made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed throughout the whole process. Definitely made my first pregnancy an amazing experience. Thank you.

Emily Pasion: I wish she could have worked into the next shift because she was so comforting.

Gloria Mosby: I had to go last night 27 weeks for some decreased fetal movement and cramping. From admitting nurse who promptly called nurse station to confirm she could bring me right to triage to autumn and Brittany who were my nurses I was listened to wasn't made to feel bad for coming in during my second trimester. Very thorough everything was explained in a way I could understand. And now when I do actually go into labor when it's time I just hope I get them both as my nurses. Brittany took over when autumn left and the shift change went seamlessly for me. Also the nurse who did the iv was amazing just forgot her name. I was impressed from beginning to end

Matthew Kinney: As a new father. The labor and delivery, and postpartum nurses were so amazing. I will never forget my time there, and all the special moments we went thru going thru the birthing process.

Aquila Coleman: This was a very good staff I went into the labor and delivery today cause I wasn’t feeling good and the nurse missy was wonderful she was caring and very supportive you’re lucky if you get her as a labor and delivery nurse thank you

Jessica Belmonte: A year later revisiting my birth at the hospital. There were several things I recall being fantastic and several very tramatic. There were some nurses that were fantastic such as the one who coached me through delivery, she was fantastic. The anesthesiologist was great for my epidural. There was a time where the pitocin made my daughters heart rate slow so they calmed me down and helped me not worry. Though some of my family was not very fond of her she followed my wishes of keeping people out of my delivery room. The one nurse that was extremely rude to me rushing out of the hosipital. I was not quite ready to leave and she was very rude to me when I said I would like to stay for dinner and then leave. My food was never brought to me and when I told them I was going to leave it took them an hour to get a nurse in for the car seat check and release us. Other than that the rest of the staff were fantastic.

Will Dean: Just wanted to make sure that Cammie, our Labor and delivery nurse was recognized as being awesome. Thanks Cammie for our great experience!

The Root: Birth, Babies, Beyond: what do users think?

Patricia Stoddard: I you need support during pregnancy, this is the GO to place! So much information with the option if either in person or on line bay classes, prenatal yoga, a variety of other yoga/fitness classes, post party support, baby classes and so much more for both you and your spouse. Because of them, I had the smoothest pregnancy and delivery possible. Worth every penny for the monthly pass / subscription. Can’t wait to go back for postpartum/pelvic floor yoga.

Rubina: I did a prenatal yoga class with Taylor and it was amazing! Love the vibe here I will definitely be back!

Cathlene Stubbs: Kellie is a gem of a human being with a gigantic heart. She is a leader, visionary, activist and champion of equal rights. She is a community builder, educator and holder of safe space for all those navigating pregnancy and parenthood. I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with her on different projects in our local birth community. Not only does she give a wealth of information and care to every project she works on, she is brave & guided by her moral compass to create an equal, safe and supportive environment for those she serves. I highly recommend getting involved in any project she spearheads in the birth community!

Annie Kwedar: The Root is the best pregnancy and new mama resource that everyone needs to know about! The classes and instructors are so knowledgeable and welcoming. I’ll definitely be going back when baby #2 comes around!

Sara Born: Started coming to The Root for prenatal yoga last year and it was clear early on the owner Kellie was not only offering many kinds classes and groups but also helping build a community for pregnant women, their partners and then for families and babies after delivery. It was so wonderful to be around other pregnant women make friends. Kellie and the other yoga teachers are so amazing helping me feel strong and empowered. I took my child birth class, postpartum care and baby care class here and Kellie is so knowledgeable and the classes interactive and fun. I really appreciated taking my classes from someone with a lot of experience in the Sacramento area birthing community and is not following a prescribed lesson plan like you might get at a hospital.

D Keeler: The Root is a unique and invaluable prenatal and postpartum resource for parents. I loved the postnatal strength and yoga classes during maternity leave, and the community Kellie, the owner, fosters provided both my husband and me a lot of support as we adjusted to being new parents. Can't recommend The Root enough!

Kristin Collins: and love the community aspect of The Root. Highly recommend The Root to any new mamas!

Fiona Castleton: at The Root throughout my first pregnancy and postpartum period. This wonderful small business and the community it has fostered have been a huge support for me and my family while navigating pregnancy, birth, and new parenthood. I am so grateful that The Root has continued to offer safe classes and opportunities for connection during the COVID-19 pandemic. I would 100% recommend The Root!

Matt M: My wife and I took multiple childbirth prep, postpartum, and baby care classes here with Kellie and they were all very helpful in supporting our journey into parenthood. Kellie brings a breadth of knowledge and experience to the table, but her true gift is her warmth and caring for families of all kinds. My wife expressed many times that she didn’t know what she would have done without the loving community Kellie fosters at The Root and the support she felt being part of the prenatal yoga classes, tea talks, and birth classes. She even forged several long-term friendships here, facilitated by the introduction time Kellie facilitates before classes. There truly is no other resource like this in the greater Sacramento area serving prenatal and postpartum parents, babies, and children. They say it takes a village, and this is a great one. Looking forward to participating in some of the kids classes in the near future!

Morgane N: Going to The Root was probably the best decision during my pregnancy. Prenatal yoga helped me in so many ways! And I met awesome people; it’s a great community. Thanks Kellie and team, your classes should be covered by health insurance :D

Andrea Rawlins: I can’t say enough good things about Kellie and what she has done at The Root. Kellie helped me through my pregnancy and postpartum. She connected me to other moms, educated me and helped me connect with my body. She has created a supportive community and holds space for all new moms. I couldn’t have made it through without Kellie!

Sarah Kasavan: Kellie provides community, love, strength and support as I navigated an extremely stressful pregnancy. She checked on me, listened to my struggles and celebrated my wins. Cannot recommend enough.

Lily Young: I can’t imagine what my pregnancy or postpartum life have been like without The Root, Kellie and her amazing staff. This amazing group of women enveloped and held me through the most challenging and life-altering experience of my life: motherhood. From prenatal yoga classes and pre-birth partner classes, to postpartum workout classes, baby sign language and baby massage, The Root is a safe and welcoming space for all parents. I recommend them to all of my friends, neighbors, and compete strangers. We need more places like The Root, and more people like Kellie, in the world!

Daisy Busfield: The root has been a safe haven for me during my time as a new mom. It helped me to connect with a community and to feel more confident. So grateful to Kellie for creating such a wonderful space.

Kavita Choudhry: I love the Root and all the fabulous mamas who are part of this great organization! The owner Kellie really goes above and beyond to tailor classes and offerings to what the community needs. Awesome prenatal and baby & me yoga, guest speakers, birth and new baby classes. I especially love the online classes!

Carlin Daley Reaume: The Root is a special place. I participated in an infant massage course here when my little one was only 6-weeks old and then a support group for working moms once my maternity leave came to an end. I knew that each time I entered the doors, I would be met with a sense of warmth, connection, and community. I am so grateful for Kellie and all the hard work she has put into creating a haven like this for women throughout their pregnancy journey. Highly recommended.

Kelly Conroy: The Root has become such a special and important place for me. It's the motherhood village I've always needed! From breastfeeding to body movement to genuine community support, The Root has made my life so much better. My daughter has also been in the Kindermusik class at The Root for most of her life and it's where we've both met some of our best friends!

Caitlin J: I started going to The Root when I was a few months pregnant. I participated in prenatal yoga, tea talks and labor/delivery courses. From day one I found myself immersed in such a supportive, informative, experienced community of woman. All my prenatal anxiety was just not normalized but accepted. I learned so much from the owner Kellie and other moms. Now, my little one is 5 months and we love to go to baby and me yoga, postnatal sculpt and participate in groups. Parenthood has so many unknowns and The Root has been my sanity. I would highly recommend this community to anyone who is a parent or expecting.

KC DC: The Root is a great resource and an amazing pillar of support through my pregnancy and navigating motherhood! I found them when looking for prenatal yoga classes, but ended up getting so much more! Birth and baby education, support groups, a community of incredible women! So glad I found the Root!

sarah demshar: Everything about the root is supportive ♡ It supports women, mothers, babies, and community. The Root has great classes and groups to connect with other like minded Mommas, and a great space for kiddos to play together while the Mommas connect ♡I highly recommend The Root!

Rebecca Rose Doula Services: what do users think?

Tiffany Welter: I highly recommend Rebecca Rose Doula Services! Their postpartum doula services were invaluable to me during a challenging time. Not only did they provide practical support with household tasks and caring for my newborn, but they also offered emotional support and guidance that helped me navigate the early weeks with confidence. Their calm and reassuring presence made all the difference. I'm so grateful for their expertise and kindness! Thank you, Becca, Stephenie and Arielle!

Samantha Martinez: isn't super emotionally intelligent as many men aren't, and of course birth can be a stressful environment for both mom and dad, so I wanted someone there to support both of our mental and emotional needs. Lastly, because I really didn't know anything about pregnancy, motherhood, or labor. Long story short, they checked every box, and went above and beyond in every way possible. I had such a beautiful experience and feel like I gained friends for life. My doulas were Becca and Kayleigh, and I also got LIFE CHANGING in-home massages from Tracy. Seriously, spend the money on those because I STILL get them with her monthly now and if I thought the back pain was going away after labor, breastfeeding and baby wearing said NOPE lol but she helps so much. Lastly, sometimes boyfriends/partners might not understand why you need a doula at first but by the end, they will. After labor while in the hospital, I looked at my boyfriend and said "do you get why I wanted a doula now?" and he looked at me real serious and said "yes, yes I do." Book your doulas, you won't regret it. :

Sophie Quynn: I cannot speak highly enough of Rebecca Rose Doula Service. Our doulas Jamie and Tina have been our biggest champions on our parenthood journey. I would not be breastfeeding my beautiful son if it wasn’t for my amazing doulas. ❤️

Alexis Hill: I have nothing but good things to say about Rebecca Rose Doula Services, I had the most long and tiring labor that did not turn out as I had planned. I had Jamie-Lynn Garrison as my primary doula and Rebecca herself as support during my 44 hour natural labor that turned into a hospital birth. I felt so empowered and supported and when things needed to take a turn I felt no judgment and had nothing but encouragement. They are the primary reason I had such a great mindset during my whole labor. Jamie also does birth photography and I could not have been happier with how they turned out, it is safe to say she has a gift.

Alexis Hazelett: Jamie was my doula for my birth almost a week ago, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way! From helping me with pain management prior to my epidural, to holding my legs with my husband while I pushed, she was such an amazing person to have in the room with us. She was incredibly empowering to me through the whole process and made me feel like I was so strong. She also made sure the hospital staff followed my birth plan, which was extremely important to me.

Marianne perkins: We recently hired Rebecca Rose Doula Services for our niece who was visiting in town, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The care and support provided by the team were invaluable during this postpartum period. From expert guidance on newborn care to emotional support for the new parents, Rebecca Rose Doula Services exceeded our expectations. The level of professionalism, compassion, and expertise demonstrated by the doulas truly made a positive impact on our niece’s transition into motherhood. We wholeheartedly give them five stars and highly recommend their services to anyone seeking outstanding postpartum support.

Angela S. Cipollone: to feel confident that I would give birth to a healthy baby. The support I received during first delivery was like having a mother by my side, advocating on my behalf when I was too weak, and a nurse who knew what to do all in one. My husband also received advice on how to support me during delivery which was a phenomenal service. The love I received during the second delivery was like queen treatment, receiving help I didn't realize I needed. She was always a step ahead, considering what I would need next. They also came to my house after birth and continued to pour love onto our family with a meal that helps with lactation. With my second delivery, they added a service of a lactation specialist visiting me after birth at a time of my choice, which was so nice to have that option. It really helped my breastfeeding journey. These ladies are genuinely the most loving people who care about what they do. My primary doulas were Tracy Gensch

Haakon Poulsen: Fussy twin newborns overnight!!!! Omg, these guys are amazing. My wife and I have a 4 and 5 year old, and then ended up with newborn twins. It was becoming impossible to get any sleep, manage the house, work, health, and all the other parts of life so something had to give. We called Rebecca Rose Doula Services and they came over for an assessment/meet-greet, and we were definitely impressed. What absolutely blew us away though was that someone could competently watch our fussy twins sight unseen overnight. My wife and I couldn't believe it. We thought only we had the magic moves for the small idiosyncrasies each baby needed to get calm, or their specific issues with feeding, or their different requirements for movement. It was really a life changer for my wife and I to get more than 3 hours of sleep in a stretch, and so we ended up signing up for 2x week overnight support for several weeks. Best money spent. Highly recommend these guys.

Victoria Scalla: I recently had the privilege of working with an exceptional birth and postpartum doula, Tracy and I can't express how grateful I am for her incredible support during this transformative journey into motherhood. From the moment we met, it was clear that she was not just a doula, but a compassionate, knowledgeable, and empowering presence that made my birthing and postpartum experiences truly remarkable.**Prenatal Support:**My doula provided invaluable guidance and emotional support during my pregnancy. She patiently answered all my questions, shared evidence-based information, and helped me create a birth plan that aligned with my preferences and values. Her extensive knowledge and experience in childbirth made me feel confident and prepared as my due date approached.**Labor and Birth:**During labor, my doula was a reassuring rock of strength. Her calming presence and comforting words helped me stay focused and relaxed. Her unwavering support was a source of empowerment, and I truly believe her presence contributed to a smoother and more positive birth experience.**Postpartum Care:**The postpartum period can be overwhelming, but my doula made it manageable and nurturing. She offered practical assistance with newborn care, breastfeeding support, and emotional encouragement. Her presence allowed me to rest and recover, knowing that my baby was in caring and capable hands. She also provided a listening ear when I needed to talk about my feelings and concerns, which was incredibly comforting during this vulnerable time.**Empowerment and Advocacy:**One of the standout qualities of my doula was her unwavering advocacy for my choices and preferences throughout the entire process. She ensured that my voice was heard in the hospital, making sure my birth plan was respected. Her advocacy empowered me to make informed decisions and assert my desires confidently.**Compassion and Connection:**Beyond her professional expertise, what truly sets my doula apart is her genuine care and connection. She celebrated each milestone and supported me through the challenges with a warmth and kindness that made me feel like I was not just a client, but a friend. Her empathy and understanding were invaluable during a time of profound change and adjustment. In conclusion, my birth and postpartum doula has been nothing short of amazing. Her dedication, expertise, compassion, and unwavering support have made my journey into motherhood an empowering and positive experience. I feel truly blessed to have had her by my side, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone in search of a doula who goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable and nurturing birth and postpartum experience. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being an incredible doula and a cherished part of my family's journey.

Briana Rudy: Best decision I could have ever made after having my baby. All the doulas I have met have all been amazing! I would highly recommend using Rebecca Rose Doula Services pre delivery and after delivery.

Sean Garrison: Recommend Rebecca Rose doulas hands down for any service they offer. My wife had Kaleigh as her doula for our second born, he was born at 34 weeks and Kaleigh was amazing support physically and mentally for my wife during the delivery. And for our 3rd, Rebecca Rose doulas really stepped up in supporting my wife while she dealt with yet again an early delivery and NICU stay. Amazing group of women, so important to have support when you grow your family.

Sheridan Goudreau: if baby didn’t come due to time restrictions. Yarden rearranged her schedule to come over to help get baby to move down and try to help start labor. As far as birth we called her around 3pm to help because as new parents we had no idea what to expect and needed support and she was with us until about 6am the next morning helping through contractions, keeping me hydrated, getting food, updating family and midwife’s, taking photos and videos, and being a huge support for my husband and I both. We are still talking about Yarden 3 weeks post birth about how amazing she is and how we could have not done it without her.Now giving birth and experiencing bringing life into this world and how beautiful and crazy it can all be I truly don’t know how people do it without a doula. From the beginning having this huge support, explaining things you might experience, helping with latch and educating on lactation pre birth and post I could not be more grateful for these women and the support I had with them.I tell everyone about them, my experience and would encourage all to hire this amazing team to be apart of your birth story! I could not have done it without this team! I am so blessed Becca had a vision and started this company!

Courtney Weir: The women who work here are fantastic ! Rasshnay was our doula and she was fabulous. They always reached out and showed they cared. A big thank you to Rebecca for making it possible for my family to have such awesome support !

Bodhi Canfield: was at our birth and shared such a special day with us. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to enhance their birth experience!

Christa Manfredi Kroskey: We are so thankful for Rebecca Rose Doula Services! They were able to accommodate us into their busy schedule when we needed some postpartum doula help due to my husband having to be out of town and me trying to do “triple feeds” with a newborn and 2 other kiddos that also needed their mama.Rebecca found 2 of her doulas that could be with us and they were such lovely women. They made sure that I was cared for, so that I could be my best self for my kids. I’m not used to being told to sit and relax or snuggle the baby, someone else will do the chores. What?! Both Tracey’s were absolute gems. They did so much… dishes, cleaning my pump parts that I needed about every 2 hours, helped me prep meals/snacks for myself to make sure I was eating and helped feed the baby while I pumped. They helped fold laundry and gave me a break when needed and held and calmed our son. They even made our older two kiddos feel loved. My girls still ask when they’ll see Ms. Tracey again. Most of all, they were beyond kind and reassured me all the time that I could do it, and was doing it all, well. They’re just the whole package! We’re incredibly grateful for Rebecca and her team! Whether it’s birth or a postpartum doula you’re in need of, RRDS is a team of wonderful humans and they’ll definitely take care of you

Candace Oto: I can’t say enough good things about Lyric as a postpartum doula with Rebecca Rose Doula Services. Lyric went above and beyond for me during my first 10 nights of postpartum, using her knowledge and skill in the Ayurvedic arts to help me heal with custom salt scrub foot and hand baths, and custom food and tea she made specific to my needs. Lyric made this tender time so memorable and meaningful. It was important to me to still have the bonding experience with my new baby, and with Lyric’s assistance in nourishing and healing me, I had the ability to be present for both my toddler and baby. Lyric has the ability to multi-task, plan ahead, and anticipate needs, as well as help where and when she’s needed in such a warm and compassionate way. She has a peaceful and calm presence. I wish I could keep Lyric’s services forever. I highly recommend Lyric and Rebecca Rose Doula Services to all mom’s and babies!

Cindy M: I just want to say thank you to Rebecca and my doula Kaleigh for an amazing birth experience. I came to Rebecca at 37 weeks pregnant. She was able to accommodate and prepare me for birth in such a short amount of time. My doula Kaleigh was also more than I expected. Although my labor was challenging, Kaleigh was there for the 3 days I was laboring. My husband and I are so thankful for RRDS team and definitely recommend them to any mama 💕

Kelly Moquin: We had a wonderful experience with post partum doula services with Tracy Tracey and Maddie! This was my second pregnancy and RRDS made this post partum recovery so much better than last. Their support allowed me to have a fast recovery after c section and maintain my mental health while providing my whole family with much needed rest. RRDS worked with me to have their services covered through my employer provided carrot fertility benefit. I can’t thank them enough.

Alexsis Soria: when we needed them & followed up with how we were doing. And when we were ready, the supported our confidence & ability to transition into postpartum/parenthood beyond doula services. Even after, they still support us in checking in & celebrating our progress & successes with us. Working with RRDS was completely worth it & we are incredibly grateful to have found them. I highly recommend their doula team for any needs in pregnancy & postpartum!

California Birth Center: what do users think?

Emily G. Chicourrat: These women & this place are/is nothing short of a godsend to pregnant women.I have had the pleasure of delivering my 2 boys at the CBC. It is a family, strong support system, high quality knowledge, & so much more. Never once did I feel like a "number" or rushed or pressured to do anything I didn't want to. Every prenatal appointment was helpful on a physical & emotional level. I could go on and on about how perfect both my deliveries & after birth care was, but I will just say that they were both a dream. I highly encourage anyone who is pregnant to go through her journey here.I have told people who have asked me about CBC that if it meant I could be in that environment, with those people, everyday I would have 1000 babies. I pray that I will be able to return there for a 3rd baby one day.I love you all! Thank you for being the best.

Taylor Bretschneider: Hopefully this isn’t TLDR for whomever is reading this but wanted to provide my POV on care at the birth center, especially given how society looks at holistic births. My husband and I were initially getting care with a physician practice affiliated with a hospital in the area. Our experience there was so rough that I was crying in the office and feeling like I was failing my child at just 10 weeks pregnant.Enter the California Birth Center! From the first tour I felt a weight come off my shoulders. All the staff provided space for me to talk about fears, questions, excitement and all the emotions that come in pregnancy. The team is extremely knowledgeable. We felt empowered to take on this journey.Towards the end of my pregnancy, I had started feeling cramps. The team took this extremely seriously and recognized that I needed more care that was outside their scope. They personally came with me to the hospital and ensured my providers at the hospital had all my records to best provide care to me. The midwife waited in the lobby until my husband gave her the green light that I was okay. I think birth centers can get a bad reputation that they avoid traditional medicine at all costs, but that was not my experience. They value my and my babies wellbeing above all else.Appointments were 1 hour each so we really had time and space to ask all questions and get to know the midwives well. They came to our house postpartum so I can focus on healing. Every turn, I can tell how thoughtfully they structured care to support moms, babies and families.I highly recommend the birth center for anyone who is on the fence about holistic care in pregnancy. They are truly wonderful!!

Jordan Salmonson: I seriously cannot say enough good things about everyone at California Birth Center. The love, care, kindness, wisdom, patience, and compassion from everyone on staff is unparalleled. I highly recommend them to any woman who is considering an out of hospital birth. I was consistently impressed by their attention to detail, their expertise, and their commitment to empowering mamas. We paid out of pocket for me to receive prenatal care, give birth, and receive postpartum care here, and my husband was initially a little reluctant because of the cost - however, on our drive home from birth center with our brand newborn in our arms, he made a point to say, “That was the best money we have EVER spent.” Now almost 4 months postpartum, we both regularly talk about how grateful we are for California Birth Center - they were instrumental in helping me achieve my dream birth. If you are on the fence, just book a tour - you won’t regret it!

uslsuspect: family. Finding a way to create personalized care during this period is paramount. The California Birthing Center exists for expecting mothers who would prefer not to have a cookie-cutter approach to something as critical as childbirth. If you are reading this review then you are probably already on the fence about taking your birth to an industrialized hospital; just call the number listed here and you won't regret it.

Katrina Monterroso: . We moved to the area about half way through my pregnancy and that's when I started seeing the midwives at the CA Birth Center. They were very professional and also kind & supportive at every appointment. They always have midwives on call 24/7 and they have a number you can call or text if needed which was super helpful and they were always quick to respond

Caitlin Porter: Having attended a major Sacramento hospital for my first 5 months of pregnancy, their obtrude nature left me feeling scared, unsupported, unprepared, and treated like just a number. It forced me to start doing my own research, and find the California Birth Center. I cannot recommend them enough! Their level of care, attentiveness, support, and just their overall method is everything I could have ever hoped and dreamed of and much, much more. This is what pregnancy is supposed to be about. They truly changed my life, my baby’s life, and the way my family looks at pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. From hour long appointments with midwives who truly cared, their online course to give me the knowledge and support I craved, in person courses to prepare my partner and I, and the way they cared for my family and I through the FOURTH trimester. They even came to my home the day after I gave birth for our first checkup. Truly magical, and let’s not forget the facility itself. The most serene and magical place of all. I find myself looking for reasons to stop in, say hello, and grab some supplements. On top of it all, they provide you with a community and postpartum resources and support AFTER you give birth. Rather than pregnancy and birth being a scary medical event, they empowered me to trust my body, my baby, and write my own birth story. Don’t walk, RUN and have your beautiful baby here. You will not regret it.

Marcy Hansen: I love california birth center! Switching and giving birth there was the best decision I could of made for my pregnancy and labor experience. They really take time with you at each appointment to help you have the best pregnancy and to be prepared for birth. The classes were all great! My birth was so peaceful, empowering, and an all around incredible experience. The post partum support they provide is unlike anything you will get from an OB or hospital, and i was so grateful for it. I highly recommend the California birth center. Their staff are experienced, educated and have so much knowledge to share. They are supportive in helping you feel your best, preparing for and having the birth you want, and are so kind. Im so grateful for the care I received, and for the best birth experience they helped me achieve!

C P: Such an amazing place! The staff at the birth center are AMAZING. I had the most amazing pregnancy care and birth experience. They take care of you post partum and really care about you and your family. I highly recommend it!

Liv Hale: . The midwives were so knowledgeable and attentive, and I had the best birth experience I could have asked for. I’m so sad that my time with them is ending, but I hope to be back eventually for baby #2!

Kristen Blevins: Magical. Just magical. My labor and birth were everything I ever could have wanted. We had our son, our second child at California birth center and my husband was hesitant to have baby out of the hospital but once we met with the staff and toured the facilities we knew this was where we wanted to have baby boy. I can't say enough about how amazing our experience was from the prenatal to postpartum CBC goes above and beyond to make the journey of giving birth everything you want it to be. Worth every penny. A thousand times over!!!

Danielle Andrews: Incredible care. Every detail for baby and mama is thought about. They care about your birth story and what you want and will do everything in their power to help you achieve it.

Lydia Young: The best birth experience ever!!!I absolutely recommend The California Birth Center for women who want unmedicated births! I had my first baby at the center and it was a wonderful, positive experience. All my prenatal appointments were mellow, quick, and I always left feeling assurance in my decision to birth there. My midwife, Marlene, would give me information, and allowed me to make educated decisions for myself as I progressed in my pregnancy. At 42 weeks, my midwife helped me to get labor going, as I did not want to go to the hopsital, and I had an unmedicated birth. I gave birth to a big, healthy 9lb 8oz baby girl in just under 5 hours of total labor and delivery. The after care was phenomenal! The midwife assistants were so kind, and gentle, always helping me walk, offering to make me food, and checked in with me just often enough that I felt secure, but not too often as to interrupt my sleep.I was considering a home birth, but this center helped me feel secure and safe while not wanting drug intervention. If you are seeking a home birth experience, but are nervous about not having professionals in case something went wrong, the California Birth Center is the perfect middle.Thank you, CBC for helping me bring my baby girl into this world!

Kim Caudill: Found out about California Birthing Center later in my pregnancy and am SO glad I made this decision! Not only did I KNOW who would be at my delivery but what room I’d be in and what to expect! The midwives and assistants educated me on birth in a way I never knew before...and this was my 3rd! Knowing that my babies come fast and not having an option for pain control in my previous births ...I wanted this time around to be as smooth as possible! From the moment I arrived in labor the room and atmosphere was like I was going to a spa! The midwives where there for me each step of the way and encourage me when I needed it the most! I am forever grateful of this experience! Thank you Misti, Marlene, and Megan!!

Dina Grodzk: When I found out that I was pregnant with my second child, I began looking for a birthing center because my experience at the hospital left me with very bitter memories. I am so glad I found the California Birth Center. The first time we stepped into the center and met the staff I felt peaceful. I loved every appointment. My midwife Marlene was so amazing, she is very wise, and I always felt comfortable asking her questions or addressing my concerns. She made my pregnancy feel like a normal function of my body rather than some medical emergency. But the best part was the labor and delivery itself, I came into the center when I felt ready, and I labored peacefully with my husband’s support. It was a special moment that we will always remember. There were no monitors and nurses, no harsh lights, and loud noises. I was in a tub and I didn’t have things tied to me or strapped to me. I didn’t have doctors barking orders at me. I was able to listen to my body, and to choose my own birthing position. Marlene and Becky were very supportive and helped me through the three hours that I was in labor. There is something so empowering about listening to your body, trusting your instinct, and giving birth without someone interfering. We left the center with a healthy little boy and sweet memories. I cannot recommend this place enough, if you’re on the fence, just schedule a tour, meet Marlene or Kaleem, ask questions, you won’t regret it. This place changed my entire perspective on motherhood.

Mia Gable: The California Birth Center and everyone I’ve met there has forever changed my view on pregnancy, delivery, and now even my parenting, for the better. The decisions I was educated and empowered to make as a pregnant woman have carried into how I now care for my baby, and I couldn’t give enough stars for an experience that has shaped me as a parent that I will carry for a lifetime! The midwives and staff truly have an incredible calling to do this work, and it shows. The prenatal and postpartum care are above and beyond what you would experience at any other medical setting, and my labor and delivery could not have gone more perfectly thanks to the amazing team here. I was always so excited for my appointments and was sad when my time with the center was up! My baby boy was welcomed with so much love. The California Birth Center is such a special place, and I am so grateful that my path led me to them.

Lenna Kay: Words cannot describe how glad I am to have chosen California Birthing Center as a place to give birth to my son. Before I even got pregnant, I knew wanted to give a natural birth and if possible a water birth. Once I got pregnant I came a cross this amazing birthing center. First my sister in Law gave birth here and couple more women I know off and they raved about their experience. I decided to go with California birthing center because it gave me the flexibility to be in an environment that supported and uplifted women’s body and how capable we are of giving birth naturally. They were extremely focused on me and my needs during pregnancy, with lots of tips and information and Never pushed anything on me that I didn’t want. When it came to labor it’s self; I let my midwife Marlene know I am showing signs of labor and once the time came I let her know I am ready to come in the center. She met me there and prepared my bath, checked me and I got in. Hours flew by as a labored in peace, quiet, and harmony! As the midwifes would come and check on me making sure me and the baby were doing great! As the time came to push I couldn’t push my baby in the tub I was then redirected to the bed and helped change potions to get him out safely. After trying 3 different potions with my midwifes help I was able to push him out and had a perfectly healthy boy. I got to go home couple hours after birth and I was beyond happy to be home and get my rest at home. The next day the midwife came to my house for a check up and after a week I came back to the center for a wellness check those lasted up to 6 weeks. My baby is now 3 months old and he’s doing amazing and so am I. If you’re looking for a natural birthing experience I recommend this amazing center. All the staff is sweet, caring and friendly I loved going to all my visits and all my needs were met. They made birth not scary but instead an empowering experience that I would love for every women to experience.

Samantha Flores: The prenatal, labor, and delivery care I received at California Birth Center was far beyond what I imagined. From the midwives to the birth assistants to the office manager, every encounter and experience was phenomenal. I look forward to continuing my postpartum care through California Birth Center and I will always recommend their services to friends and family. Thank you for making the birth of my daughter so magical, memorable, and personal!

The Birth Center: what do users think?

Rachel Geiszler: I gave birth to both of my children at The Birth Center and couldn’t be happier with my experience. Ruth is an amazing provider and I recommend her to anyone wanting a calm, beautiful and natural birth experience. ❤️

Holly Hart: I had the most wonderful birth experience with Ruth. My first son was born in a hospital and my second was born here 11 years ago. I look back on the experience with so much joy. My son came quickly and Ruth was the most wonderful and skilled midwife. Thank you!

Bethany Vander Dussen: I had amazing prenatal and postnatal care at The Birth Center. Ruth is an extremely skilled and knowledgeable midwife. She never rushed appointments and took time to provide individualized care. I cannot recommend The Birth Center enough!

Andressa Soto: I gave birth to my 9lb son here in 2018. After my 1st son being born in a hospital, I was absolutely pursuing a better experience and the birth center did NOT disappoint. I cannot fully express how grateful I am to have Ruth's expertise and knowledge. She is a true master of her skill. My son born here is now 5 and I came back to write this review because I have heard of other birth experiences where things went less than favorably and it makes me appreciate Ruth and her team that much more. If you are looking to have a safe, empowering, beautiful birth experience I insist you look no further.

It’s amazing!! 😉Update. Well overdue. I had my fourth baby two years ago with Ruth and the experience was amazing. Ruth is always quick with observing me and baby, checking both our vitals. I had baby two hours after I got there around lunch time and was home before diner time. Again- it’s an amazing experience to be in a comfortable home setting and to be cared for by a person who knows you all through your pregnancy and feel safe with. I am So great full to be able to have my babies there and will cherish these beautiful memory’s. I always recommend Ruth and The Birth Center to who ever is expecting and wants that experience. Thanks!

Rhoda El Khoury: I delivered my baby here 8 months ago now and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I’m not American and have never lived here before this year, so I found it very daunting to navigate care providers in the US and have good professional and personalized care that was affordable! The birth center stood out to me and I knew right away that this is where I want to have my baby. During the tour, Ruth struck me as a very knowledgeable and experienced person who actually takes time to listen to her patients; and that was my experience with her throughout my pregnancy. She was really my only advocate when the ultrasound center was panicking for nothing and she was very reassuring every step of the way. At the end of the pregnancy my baby was in all kinds of positions except the good one so Ruth referred me to a very skilled obgyn. But since the baby turned on her own last minute I got to give birth at the birth center and it was such a redemptive experience after my first time. The delivery environment was so comfortable and warm and Ruth gathered a team to help out even in the middle of the night. She guided me through labor, was very confident and encouraging and I knew I could trust her with my life. She also caught my baby’s tongue and lip tie right away and she was able to clip it the next day since she has the certification for it. She was very helpful with nursing tips, especially that I have PCOS and had trouble breastfeeding my first child. I am currently exclusively nursing my second one! I’m very grateful for Ruth and I would not hesitate to recommend her for whoever needs a good birth experience.

Erika Kanakry: Can’t recommend Ruth enough! Had an amazing pregnancy and labor and delivery with her. It was exactly what I wanted after having a terrible experience with midwifes in a different state. We will be seeing her again for any future babies!

Christina Keller: My experience with The Birth Center, and with Ruth as my midwife, was the best birth experience I've had thus far. As this is my fifth child, I've had other great birth experiences in the Sacramento area- but nothing compares to the personal, caring touch I received from Ruth and her excellent staff. My husband and I felt safe with the care team, and were completely confident that all contingencies were accounted for during labor. I enjoyed my prenatal appointments as all my questions were answered, and always had encouraging conversations with Ruth. Her medical experience is sound, and her care is genuine.

Beth Rogers: , and as a temporary MCAP patient myself, I NEVER felt like there was a reduction in care or attention. If you want to be coddled, or have your hand held all the way

Emma Baxter (Esthi Emma): I recently had the pleasure of giving birth to my son at this birthing center and it was an amazing experience! Our midwife Ruth was outstanding and provided exceptional care throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She was knowledgeable, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and well-informed. The birth center itself was also fantastic, offering a supportive and welcoming environment for water births. I appreciated how Ruth taught me how to nurse my baby correctly, it was so helpful and made the transition to motherhood much easier. I highly recommend this birth center and would not hesitate to use their care again. 5 stars all around!

Lily Kobzar: The Birth Center is a wonderful place with great and knowledgeable staff who made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout my whole pregnancy journey!

Anna Meier: I had such an amazing experience receiving my prenatal care from Ruth at The Birth Center. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to have my son at the center because my water broke unexpectedly at 35 weeks and Ruth can only deliver babies at the center after 36 weeks. Ruth was so helpful and calm on the phone when my water broke, she got me transferred to the hospital, and walked me through what would most likely happen when we got there. Luckily we had a great experience at the hospital and my son was born without any complications. Afterwards though we began to experience a lot of difficulty with breastfeeding. We saw lactation consultants in the hospital, ear nose and throat specialists, and our pediatrician and none of them were able to help much. By six weeks postpartum I was pumping exclusively and feeling exhausted and desperate. When we saw Ruth for our postpartum visit right away she diagnosed that my son had lip and tongue ties. She was able to clip them a couple days later, and within a week or so he was able to breastfeed with no issues! I’m so incredibly grateful to Ruth for helping us figure out why I couldn’t breastfeed and having a ready solution. I would recommend the birth center to anyone, and I hope that if I have a second child I’m able to experience giving birth there.

Christine Miller: . We were very impressed by Ruth's leadership and the amazing team she has here!

Carissa McDermott: Ruth is a wealth of knowledge! So thankful we were referred to her for lactation support.

Laura L: I just had my son here in November and this place is amazing. I never thought I would have a natural birth but I did at the birth center and I would never have a hospital birth again. My labor and delivery was so empowering and I’m so pleased with the care they gave to my newborn. He wasn’t taken from me once. My recovery was so quick I felt back to myself within a few days without pain. I was truly cared for with compassion that you don’t get in a hospital. Ruth the midwife and the doulas Amy and Kelly helped me to have a natural peaceful childbirth.

Gianna Banducci: The Birth Center helps you realize a more natural and holistic vision of pregnancy and birth. Ruth is incredibly attentive and informative, providing guidance at every step of the way and never pressuring or rushing.

AMV Pen: Giving birth at birth center with Ruth was best decision. I’m so glad Ruth took in me under her care. Giving birth at hospital vs at birth center is so much different. I feel like not only my labor went smoother with Ruth but the recovery is so much faster as well. Definitely would recommend Ruth . She is kind, understanding and very knowledgeable. Best out of best!!

Inna Slivinskaya: I got the chance to deliver my baby at this birth center! I had a great experience with the midwife! Love every bit of it! Would definitely come back when I have another one 😀

Hannah Grace: was also a wonderful, calming support as well. Cannot recommend this place enough!
