The water level at Folsom Lake dictates the type of recreation and length of the season. During years with normal precipitation the main recreational season is May through Labor Day in September. During the remaining months of the year use of Folsom Lake drops considerably. The desired reservoir elevation for recreation is approximately 435' to 455'. Above 455' less beach is available for swimmers and sunbathers, and below 435' feet the waterline is too great a distance from parking areas. Another problem with lower lake levels is that, at 426', boat ramps around the lake go out of service, and the only marina at the lake cannot moor most boats when the lake level is below an elevation of 412 feet.
Granite Bay is an ideal location to bring your family to enjoy Folsom Lake. The sandy beach, buoyed swim area and lifeguard services during the summer season make this area a safe location for swimming and playing in the water. Barbecue pits, shade areas and large grassy areas can accommodate many family picnics and otheractivities.
The Granite Bay snack bar also rents beach equipment. The beach equipment includes kayaks, paddle boards, volleyball sets, shade canopies and rafts of all sizes. Additionally catering for family and company picnics as well as group discount rental rates are available. Contact the snack bar for more information at 916-740-0459.

Confronts every concern I’ve had and also making the park look better , always got the groundskeeper out blowing leaves , cleaning the dumpster areas . Since she’s been here the park has gotten better. Also Alexis at the front office is so sweet and kind everytime I go in there don’t feel like a bugga boo lol . These ladies definitely need raises lol . This park is a lot of work!

Anna Hijar: The property manager, Phoenix, is absolutely stellar. She’s super kind and is always willing to answer any questions we have. This park is a hidden gem. While the neighboring areas around this park might not be so great, the park remains unaffected thanks to the efforts of management. The people here are friendly and come from all walks of life. I truly enjoy my neighbors. The spaces are well-maintained and so is the park. I always see the maintenance guy out on the golf cart working hard to keep the property clean and functional. He’s also very friendly. The park is very quiet and peaceful at night. Not to mention, location! We’re less than 5 mins from the freeway and not far from downtown. Perfect for anyone who needs to commute to work. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay short or long term. Thank you for all of your hard work, Phoenix! It doesn’t go unnoticed.
Michelle Holycross: I have lived in this park for almost 22 years. I have been through different changes here some good some bad but mostly good it is definitely a cheaper place to live. I have a few good friends here in the park but I stay pretty much to my self. Phoenix is the best manager and is very helpful when issues arise. She is also very friendly.

When I checked in with Julie at the registration desk, she was so friendly to me and my dog as well. I felt warmly welcomed.The campground is attractive and very clean. I would recommend it to anyone.

Pam Gerdes: The R.V. park sites weee amazing. They were big and private. The pool and pickleball courts were great. The playground was outdated. The only thing that wasn’t great was the showers. They were small and had very little water pressure and the tiles were all peeling. The cleaning time for the bathrooms were 9:00-10:00am. I know there’s no great time but that became problematic. Otherwise we loved the R.V. park

Susan Harrington: During the heat wave, their power supply is unreliable. Unable to run our three air conditioning units although we're on a 50 Amp service.Noteworthy details: A very nice, small RV park. Privacy fences between all spaces. Not really intended for large rigs, but they take them anyway. Few children. Seems like most people staying are long-term renters.Not in the greatest neighborhood, but it is security gated. Gates are open during the day and closed at night. Requires a key card for access.
Jamee Mitchell: Probably THE nicest RV park we've been to in California! The dividing fences are a nice touch, adding a wonderful sense of privacy and seclusion in an otherwise chaotic city.Safety: The entire project is gated with card key access at a very nice pool and laundry facility.
Marissa Crumrine: We stayed in Sac Shade RV Park for a month while visiting the area and had an enjoyable stay.We loved having a small, fenced in yard and grassy area all to ourselves. Our dog, Teddy, had so much fun running around in the large, clean and grassy dog park.The laundry room, pool and onsite bathroom were always clean and well-maintained.The campground and sites are pretty tight, so usually people have to move their trucks in order for you to get in, but everyone is very friendly and happy to do so.The campground manager, Bruce, can usually be found around the campground. He's either beautifying the area, maintaining the greenery or pool, or chatting with other campers and is friendly to talk to.It's not in the nicest area of town, but other than that, we loved our stay here and would recommend it to others.
Tony L: Very clean very nice place to stay and Bruce the manager is very good to work with Run the tight shift I just wish people would slow down when driving down the row where people live me and my wife and dog have almost been hit three times now my wife car has also been ran into at the gate we are now starting to feel a little uncomfortable and safe with this speeding though the rows and around corners the speed limit is posted 5mph not 20mph I just wish management and owners would hold the speeding people Accountable befor someone gets her to get killed. It's just getting out of hand
Jennifer Cuellar: I stayed at this park for almost 6 months while fulfilling a work contract. I have had nothing but a great experience. This park is very safe, clean and definitely well kept by management. Well shaded lots that are fenced and a small yard. I have seen quite a bit of renovations done during my stay which has really made this a very nice RV park. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a longer term place to stay.

Angela R: I have been here for a little over a month now. Being a community for mainly seniors it is very quiet. The community and most of the neighbors are nice. Everyone mostly keeps to themselves. It is pretty well kept up and clean. The manager of the park is FANTASTIC!! She is very helpful, friendly and stays on top of maintenance and addresses any issue within a timely manner. I would say one of the best parks/management in the area.
Trucking Sailor: I visited my Aunt over the Thanksgiving weekend and can see why she loves it here!Starbucks is a short walk across the street and the grounds are well kept. While walking her dog, I was greeted by the manager who is very warm and friendly. I appreciate she took the time to meet a new face in the park which conveyed they actually care about the park and it’s residents. Nice place!

Jordan Fisher (Fisher Drums): as well as a Walmart. You're allowed two dogs and two parking spots but there's plenty of extra parking right outside the park which l've used since I moved here and never had an issue! Rent is also cheaper then most parks in sac! Definitely a diamond in the rough.

Cristina Jmnz: Inside the park it is quiet, they maintain the pool in hot weather, they often change managers but everyone has been friendly, but I would like them to be more strict with the rules, in the visitor parking lots there are cars that are parked and not have moved in months! Also on Ohio ln street, there are always cars parked on the street, in a single house up to 6 cars parked on the street which is in the rules. Hopefully they can make the rules more severe, it would be the fairest thing for those of us who respect it.

I've swam in the pool naked before I've been charged by an lunatic Tongan man , in an grass skirt n club, who took off my side view mirror.my circles intersect with many people within this community.

Maggie: the manager and John were friendly, professional, helpful and they both have great energy! The pool and club house are immaculate and the river running by the park is fantastic! I highly recommend this Thousand Trail park.

Great place to take the family and relax.Walkability: River access right in park! Lots of options to walk to, restaurants and rafting companies with walking distance. Sutter Mill state park just down the road as well. We often ride our bikes there for more trails and a great look back at California gold rush historyFood & drinks: Gorilla Rock Taco on site and Pizza across the street are both awesome places to eat.
