I sent it to CPS, they quickly gave me an estimate which I approved, and they repaired the lens and sent it back within a couple of weeks. I think the price was fair. The lens was returned very clean and well packaged, and of course now working perfectly.

The repair I knew would not be completed by the time I was headed back home out of state. I was extremely impressed at how well the camera was packaged and shipped to me upon repair. Seriously, you can't find quality repair shops for cameras. I've done the research now that I no longer live near them. For those of you in the Sacramento area, you're lucky to have such a resource. For me, I may need to have them service my cameras when visiting, and in dire need, I'll probably ship to them.
