Explore over five miles of signed and maintained grassy trails that run through mature oak forest, open grassland, along sloughs and a lake, through mixed riparian woodland, and on to the bank of the Feather River. eBird reports over 190 species of birds have been observed, including Black-crowned Night Herons, Wood Ducks, and Swainson's Hawks.
Dogs are not permitted in the Bobelaine Audubon Sanctuary and parking is limited. Be cautious where you park. Respect the private property west of Bobelaine. Parking on the private property may result in your vehicle being towed. Please refer to the Parking Map below for the private property locations. This map is also posted at the entrance to Bobelaine. For additional rules and regulations regarding the use of the sancturary, please refer to conditions of use.

From Sacramento: Take Highway 99/70 north. When Highways 99 and 70 split, stay on 99 and drive about 6 miles, crossing the Feather River bridge. The first signed street after the bridge is Sacramento Ave; drive 1.o miles farther north and turn right on Laurel Avenue.
From Marysville/Yuba City: Take Hwy 99 south to just past the old Dingville sign, then turn left on Laurel Avenue.
Once on Laurel Avenue, drive east about 0.75 miles until you reach an "End" sign and “Not a County Road” sign. Beyond this point the road is on private land. Please drive slowly across the heavy duty tread grate. Continue on until you reach the "Bobelaine Audubon Sanctuary" sign, parking lot, kiosk and metal barn.

Shayne Downs: This place is like magical woodlands. Love the trails that are maintained by a very dedicated group of volunteers.
Kyoko: I took my kids for a walk here. It was really nice outside. There is lots of shade. We spotted some turtles in the water. Do be sure to bring sunscreen and water.

Kirstin Barnhart: Nice nature escape near Sacramento. Well maintained trails and clear trail signs. Not supposed to bring dogs per the signs. Very scenic if you drop down into the oak grove rather than stay on the levee bank. There is a friendly dog that most likely belongs to a local farmer that likes to follow hikers around. Beware of the porta potty in the parking lot- it was full of hornets. And bring bug spray- there were more mosquitos than we thought in the shady areas.
Three Travels: Great winter walk through nature. Easy trail, well marked. Gentle rolling up and down but mostly level. Easy to take a running stroller.
Calvin Hamilton: definitely not the place to bring your dog, but the birding is outstanding. About 400 plus acres of refuge bordering the feather river. the trails are well marked best to come in the spring and fall, summer can get hot and very buggyRestrooms: porta pottiesPicnic area: a few picnic tables

Amanda Snow: Nice trails, good variety of habitats, clearly marked trails, tons of birds and wildlife. We went early morning, saw beaver and raccoon plus many many bird species. Nice place to botanize and enjoy the odonates too. It is also the Levee walkway and dirt road adjacent to the California Highway Patrol Academy.👮♀️🚔 👮♂️ Good place to pull off the road and see the stars ✨ However some of them are moving because it's in the flight 🛩 pattern of the airport...lol
robert haley: Pretty great for wildlife photography from the car. Seems like a place you can’t get lost in but, on the foot trails it can get a little confusing. Remember where you parked! Everything looks the same!

Melani Babi: Beautiful, and unlike much of the rest of the valley. Birds were out in great numbers, and the song in the evening was like an orchestra. A lush natural environment; I wish more of the surrounding area could be like this.

Timi McClure: This is a cute little park, it has a lot of trees, so not sure if you can be in the sun during the day… you’ll need mosquito spray. The ramp is Narrow but doable it’s short so that’s good and not steep.
