After years of independent research and study of dog behavior and psychology, and having an affinity for rescue dogs and concern for their plight, it was a natural progression for me to join the Bark Busters family of dog behavioral therapists and trainers.

I am proud to bring Bark Busters Home Dog Training to the Inland Empire. I'll be marking my territory in every city that touches the 210-from the 15 to the 57.

Every wonderful dog in my life has been a "rescue dog." Working with rescue dogs, one sees just about every bad behavior a dog can come up with. I currently share my house with three ever-challenging German shepherds: 12-year-old Hannah, 1½-year-old Ember, and 6-month-old Rowdy. I love working with them every day and watching them grow into being nice, stable dogs as they stay fun and enjoy life.

Too many dogs are abandoned or abused because owners do not know how to control the dog's undesirable behavior. They get frustrated and give up trying, thinking the situation hopeless.

My private lessons take place right in your home and are customized to your dog and your family. We LOVE Sonia and her methods. We rescued our dog, Max, when he was 3 years old. He came from a rough background and was never trained. We figured training him would be difficult since he was already an adult but with Sonia’s help we were able to teach Max all the basic and intermediate skills he needed. We learned he’s actually really smart and picks up things fast. We’ve even been using her techniques to teach him new skills and correct his behaviors after we finished our 10 sessions. Sonia is very patient with the hoomans that sometimes need to be trained more than their fur babies. She took the time to explain what to look for, why Max did certain things, and how to better communicate with him. We definitely recommend her services (and will be calling her back when needed), but best of all, she’s a wonderful person to be around!

At Sonia's PAWsitive Dog Training, we use positive reinforcement dog training to help create a happy home between you and your pets.

Each session is about 1 hour and we meet in your home, or at a park in Rancho Cucamonga.

1 session: the best option if your dog has just a few behavioral issues you'd like to solve.

5 sessions: the best package if you would like to do a beginners/ puppy basics course. We would go over around 20 different commands and discussion points that we find to be most useful when bringing a new dog into the home. We can always adjust the sessions to your specific needs! We go over positive reinforcement training, focus, hand target, sit, loose leash walking, socializing techniques, come when called, impulse control and more.

10 sessions: the best package if you would like to complete the beginner/ puppy basics, and then start intermediate work which helps your dog focus on you in public environments. 10 sessions would also be a good pick if you have 2 dogs, or if you are looking for long term training like Advance, AKC Canine Good Citizen Training or Therapy Dog Training for qualified students.
